  • Front cam deteriorated after lollipop upgrade

Afte lollipop upgrade front cam pictures are very sloppy and blurry . Previously they were much much better now the picture quality is too bad as if I am using a 0.2 pixel cam
Has anyone faced this issue pl help me

I can assure everyone here that both the cameras are WORKING PERFECTLY FINE with me in fact after lollipop upgrade, the main camera has become much much much more awesome!
    Have a look at my Z1 cam's improvement - http://i.imgur.com/6Cor3JK.jpg
Either the phone is still not updated correctly, or you have some wrong settings in your 'manual camera settings'
Try this - Clear defaults, cache, and settings for your phone's camera application and try again.
P.S. I was using GoogleCamera for these photos in kitkat and in lollipop as well (link attached)
Feel free to ask away :-)

  • HT1519 Mid 2009 MBP 15" cycle count 500ish but getting "Service Battery" notification after Mavericks upgrade

    Dear Apple,
I've got a Mid 2009 Macbook pro 15". Been going great. Love it. Much better user experience than my PC laptop.
However, straight after Mavericks upgrade, I've been starting receiving "Service Battery" notification. I've had a look at my Cycle count, which is 516 as it currently stands. According to the spec, this expected battery count is 1000. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Dan

  • How to Reinstall Lenovo Security After Lollipop Upgrade?

I upgraded my lenovo s60a from kitkat to lollipop but after the upgrade, lenovo security was removed/ uninstalled. I can't find it again. I really like this app and need it badly. How to install it again? please help
    Regards
[Moderator changed title to describe topic.]

I really loved the Lenovo Security App too. However, it is no longer available in the Android L update (for all international phones, not only S60-A, but most (or all) of the other models with Android L as well).

  • Chrome browser missing tabs after Lollipop upgrade

    Hi
Chrome now hides the option to close a tab or jump to another one. Any fix?
    Thanks!
    Cheers,

Chrome Tabs were moved after Lollipop to the Recent Apps screen (the 2 rectangulars soft button on the right). They will persist even if you restart your phone. You just switched off this feature and can get it back by turning tabs merge on again.

  • No notifications in notification bar on lock screen after Lollipop upgrade

Before my G3 was "upgraded" to 5.01, I could double tap the screen, the lock screen would come up, and at the top of the screen in the notification bar, there would be icons for new SMS, emails and calendar events, if there were any new ones.
After the 5.01 "upgrade", that is no longer the case.  I have to actually unlock the screen, and then the icons in the notification bar are visible.
I've heard and read that the 5.01 upgrade now lets you have notifications directly on the lock screen.  That is NOT what I am referring to.  This is the actual notification bar icons, which worked before the "upgrade", but now do not.
The first image below show where the notifications for SMS, emails, calendar events, etc used to be shown.  The second image shows the icons are visible after unlocking the phone.
So, does anyone know how to make the notifications show up in the notification bar while the lock screen is displayed?

All the notifications for the G2 and G3 have been under the clock that I have seen and no indicators in the bar.

  • Xperia z1 compact email problems after lollipop upgrade

    Hi there,
I have one huge issue with the email accounts I manage on my Z1C after upgrading to Lollipop.
Downloading new messages used to be extremely fast with Kitkat. Now with the new OS, this has turned into a nerve-racking operation.
Sometimes I have to try three, four times before messages are actually downloaded. Besides, while a tone announces the presence of new messages, these are not displayed. I have to open an old message and then go back to the main page, wait for it do reload and eventually I can see the new messages visualised.
The whole opearation may take several minutes. If this happend on a normal browser, I would immediately think of a problem with the cache memory...
I add that the upgrade procedure was smooth and ended successfully. All the other apps work perfectly, the connection to the Internet is fast and efficient, the problem occurs both when I'm connected to a Wi-Fi router and when I use my provider's network (H3G). I use the default application to manage all my email accounts. The email accounts are set as IMAP.
Have you experienced any similar issues? Does anybody have any idea of how to sort out this problem. Thank you all for your help!

I've experienced this problem also.  The new version of Email saw all of my Gmail messages as new mail, so it took about an hour for me to deal with the barrage of new notifications.  After that was dealt with, Email now works... but it's incredibly S... L... O... W.  Message downloads used to be a snap, but now it can take 20 to 30 seconds just to download a half dozen new message headers.  When I actually tap a message header to open the mesage, it takes another 10 to 30 for the message text to display.

  • No Hangouts notifications after lollipop

Ever since i upgraded to Lollipop my hangouts has been acting strange. Sometimes i get the notifications of my SMS's but most of the time i either get them a while after or it just doesn't inform me the sms has arrived. I've check all the settings and all the other messangers like whats app and facebook messanger all work fine. It doesn't let you delete the app as its stock, but even deleting the updates and reinstalling has made no differernce. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it?

I"m not sure if you are aware of this, but if you reinstall lollipop with PCC it will smooth things out PC Companion (PCC)  Bridge (for Mac)   Alternatives on How to backup Xperias http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/36355

  • Sound ballsup after automatic upgrades download please help!

This afternoon my MacBook Pro downloaded several upgrades, no idea what. Now the sound input and output comes out of the main speakers instead of my Everyman (Skype) headset. I've been to System Preferences>Sound and clicked on Everyman, but no go.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Open Disk Utility (in your Utilities folder in your Applications folder) and select your hard drive by brand name. Go to the First Aid tab and repair permissions. If there are a lot of permissions to repair, repeat. You may be left with a few that do not repair.
Downloading software changes permissions. So it's generally good practice to repair them after software downloads.
    Good luck!

  • Amazon Apps after Lollipop upgrade

I can't sign into any Amazon app after upgrade to lollipop.  My keyboard won't pop up to enter the email address of the account.  Anyone else have this problem?

This is coming off a factory reset, so that should be the problem.  Tried anyway and didn't work.  Can't uninstall and reinstall app because its a factory app.

  • Lock screen timeout issue after Lollipop upgrade - Galaxy S5

I have the S5, and a couple days before installing the Lollipop update I changed my screen timeout to 30 mins because I didn't want my screen to turn off while looking at pictures for long periods of time. I didn't end up changing the timeout back before the update, so after installing Lollipop, it applied the 30 min timeout to my lock screen and I am unable to change it to a lower setting. I've tried changing the timeout settings under display and all sorts of variations of settings in the phone, and it works when I am actually past the lock screen, but lock screen still doesn't turn off until 30 mins passes.
The main problem with this is when my phone gets notifications in the middle of the night, the phone stays on for the full 30 mins and drains my battery if it isn't plugged in. Is anyone else having this issue? I haven't tried reverting back to Kit Kat to see if I can fix the issue, but I was just curious if there was another way to get around it before going through all of that. It would be really helpful if they would just add a timeout feature specifically for the lock screen so that I could adjust it there...

This has been reported on some other blog sites I recall seeing and the quick fix was to disable your lock screen.

And dont have any sound anymore, nowhere. PulseAudio is just ignoring my sound-card completely and KDE/GNOME System settings tell me that i do not even have any soundcard
Alsamixer detects the soundcard fine and if i unmute the soundcard there, it works. But its not really comfortable to change the volume with Alsamixer. Also i have no ability to change between HDMI and Analog.
Any idea what could have cause this? As you can see in the logs, there havent been any major kernel update nor pulseaudio update.
This is the Soundcard: Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA)
Kernel Module is snd_hda_intel which is loaded and working
Seems like Pulseaudio is not running at all, it also does not start with the message "E: [pulseaudio] core-util.c: Home directory not accessible: Permission denied" which is not true

Ok, found out it was true.
Seems like whatever reason i have to find out reset some files (not all) to root, so i was no longer the owner of some random files for whatever reason.
    Works now.

  • Issue with WIFI after LOLLIPOP upgrade Z3C

Z3C, upgraded to Lollipop and WiFi became slow, speed went down from 80 mbps to 3 mbps !!!
Phone seems sluggish in general, KitKat was fantastic, now I have a slow phone.
Bluetooth transfer also went from 160 kb to 90 kb....
Does anyone know how it can be fixed? what about the 5ghz band for the WiFi on the phone?

Yes, same WiFi problem with safe mode. Everything was perfect until the upgrade to Lollipop. Now WiFi speed is 1/10 of before, and phone is slow in general. realy sad, sometimes even whatsapp messages takes minutes to be delivered.
Does anyone know how to select only 5ghz channel for the WiFi on the phone?
