No alert on Phone Messenger

Hi,
We are using IP Phone messenger installed on Presence Server ver 6.x
We are able to send & receive messages to users who are subscribed to IPPM services but we do not get any alert/visual notification/beep on receiving IP phone.
Can somebody guide where could be the problem ?

had You any news ? I'm having the same issue. The messeges correctly arrives to the phone, but they get not notified ( with a previuos installation I done, there was a popup with the message on every phone ).

IP Phone Messenger and Today's Meetings

I am testing IP Phone Messenger for deployment in my organization, but am unable to get the "Today's Meetings" feature to function. "Today's Meetings" works just fine in the MeetingPlace Express service, but not in IPPM.
IPPM gives the error message:
Query Operation Failed. The calendar server may be down. Please make sure the server is up and running. Calendar server is not responding.
IPPM Meeting Notification also works just fine, alerts right on time off of the MPE server. (Wish I could figure out how to get it to alert early, not just as a meeting is starting, but that's another issue).
Just can't view meetings through IPPM. Any suggestions?
MPE Version: 2.1.1.2
CUPS Version: 7.0.7.10000-11
CUCM Version: 7.1.3.21901-1
Testing IPPM on 7925, 7975, and 7942 with newest firmware with same results.

"Today's Meeting" feature depends on calendar integration.
If you haven't configure calendar integration properly, it won't work.

IP Phone Messenger error - "You were trying to access...."

I am trying to configure the IPPM service on two phones: 7975 and IP Communicator but I'm getting the following message on both when I press the services button:
"Invalid Device
You were trying to access IP Phone Messenger service from a device not provisioned on Cisco CallManager server. Please work with your system administrator to get this device configured."
I am running CUCM 7.1.3 and CUPS 7.0.2 and I have completed the following steps:
1. Configured IP PhoneMSG service with CUPS in URL
2. Created "PhoneMessenger" application user and added IPC and 7975 phones in "Controlled Devices"
3. Associated end users with primary DNs on IPC and 7975 and configured end users with "Standard CTI Enabled" user group permissions.
4. Subscribed both phones with "IP PhoneMSG" service
The error is listed here:

..but doesn't offer any suggestions.

CUPS (IM& Presence) 9.1 IP Phone Messenger

Hi All,
I have a question. Does IP Phone Messenger feature was deleted from CUPS 9.1? I recently upgrade to 8.5 to 9.1 bur I cannot find this feature.
I was looking for a feature to send text broadcast message to all phone without have to buy a Thirdparty application so I remember this feature was included in CUPS 8.5.

Add users to ip phone messenger

I have a problem when adding users to ip phone messenger. I add the end user enter username password and pin but that user cant login to the ip phone messenger. What more do I need to do before a user can use phone messenger? The first user I created can use it but not the second.

I really think that this might be related to the Licensing issue from your other thread on the Unified forum. I would try sending an email to
[email protected]
To try and determine the Presence License question which should address this as well.

Alerts for phone only

Does anyone know how to turn off alerts for incoming emails and only have alerts for incoming phone messages?

Go to the Profiles application. It is that small speaker-icon. There you can set the notifications for incoming calls/smss/pins/emails.

Icloud calendar not alerting shared phone

Hello everyone. Myself and my wife have the iphone 5, we share the icloud work and home calendars, however if i create an event on my phone with an alert 1 hour before it will alert me on my phone but doesnt on my wifes and vice versa, she will create an event with an alert and I wont get it. Any ideas?

You can try (sorry, but that is all I can think of) go to icloud.com and sign in. On your computer, once you open calendar in icloud click settings symbol in bottom left corner and go to advanced. You will see a checkmark for "email me shared calendar updates".

How do you silence all alerts except phone and alarm?

I want to silence all alerts (texts, emails, etc) except for phone calls and the alarm like I could with my blackberry.
My new iPhone 5c is a huge upgrade from the BB other than the lack of Sound Profiles.
I've read a post about plugging the headphones in so that the other alerts play through them, but the phone and alarm still sound out, but this does not appeal to me as I don't typically use earbuds. Matter of fact, the ones that came with the phone are still in the box.
If this is the only option, I think it's a bit chintzy, but I can go with it.

One option that I can think of is enabling Do Not Disturb. It will allow alarms and gives you different options for allowing phone calls. You can have it enabled "always" or "only while iPhone is locked".

No notification alert on Verizon Messenger Group Conversations

I get alerts on individual texts fine but nothing in group conversations. I have to physically look to see if someone has replied. Convos are no 'muted' and volume is completely up. And I don't have Hangouts installed. Any suggestions?

Alerts only working half the time, phone only rings half the time on incoming calls,settings all ok

my alerts for text messages, vip emails and voicemail are only sounding half the time and same with phone ringing on incoming calls...have checked settings, all are ok, have powered phone down and back up..any suggestions why i dont get alerts and phone ring all the time?

You can use http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5180. if that does not work you have to do repair.

Instant messaging not showing on main display of phone or playing alert tone.

I am running CUCM 8.5.1 with CUPS 8.5.4. I have configured three 7965 phones for testing. I have installed the messaging service and can send IMs from phone to phone, phone to one of the clients or client to phones. I have set them all to play a tone upon receipt. One phone will play the tone and display the message on the main display. The other two pones only display the message within the phone messenger service under the messages selection with no tone. I have tried to do my do diligence in checking my settings and they appear all be the same configs between all the phones but yet i can not get the other phones to display the message on the main screen.
Any suggestions as to what might be causing this or how to resolve would be appreciated. Can provide additional info on request to further clarify.

Alerting about new records in to the database (in perticular table).
i have a sample application like this.
A form based on purchase_requisitions, the data being entered from a network computer by a user with datanetry privileges. let's say the columns are
req_id,req_date,red-from_dept,req_from_emp,req_item_req_qty,req_status. (initially by default req_status is 'NEW').
next..
i have a form based on Pending_requisitions_view for the managers who approves the requisitions, the columns are just req_date,req_from_dept,req_from_emp. all the pending requisitions will come here every 5 minitues it gets refreshed by a timer. and it is a multi record block. from here the manager selects the record and he changes the status to APPROVED or DENIED. this is common scenario.
here is the main problem, the manager has to keep open his form all the time, or if he is working on any other things/forms, it is not possible for him to see requisiotns unless he has to open that form and timer re-freshes the records then only he can see. and again when the application in minimised state we cant see any updates/new entries into requissitions.
im trying to make a full pledges online system. im using Oracle 8i,forms 6i under win 2000.
is there any possibility if there is any new records gets into that table we can have alerts like Yahoo messenger it changes color to Blue when it gets new message if it is minimised state.
Please im keen to get this type of environment.

i tested like this,
create a table-1 with tow coumns
table-2 clone to table-1, on table-1 i put on-insert trigger insert into table-2. so far it is good, table-2 is getting values.
on table-2 i wrote a database trigger like this
CREATE.. ON INSERT on each row..

raise_application_error;
END IF;
end;
now the data not at all getting inserted into any table raising_application_error, so i could not proceed into further..
please advise me..

You are not telling your form to validate the phone no.
