No Amazon Kindle app

After receiving my HP TouchPad today I immediately wanted to try the Amazon Kindle app but unfortunately it just opens the App Catalog and then I get this error message, that this item is not available in my countey (Austria).
I thought this as a free app? Because free apps should be available in Austria.
Any idea why this isn'T working?

IPad 1 and Amazon Kindle App worked, but not after reset

The Amazon Kindle App worked on my iPad 1 until I did a reset to give the iPad to a friend after buying the iPad Air. The Kindle App had been working with the current version of the OS. Now when my friend tries to install the Kindle App, it indicates that the current Kindle App doesn't work with the current OS and says that it is downloading an earlier version. Then it blows up and doesn't download. Interesting that the Amazon Shopping App does the same thing.
In talking with Amazon customer support, they indicate that the problem is with Apple. They sent a long email indicating how it should work. Sadly it doesn't. The older version should be installed.
When a problem exists between Amazon and Apple where does one go? Pointing fingers at the other seems to be the answer.
All I know is that the Kindle App was working on the 3 year old iPad before I did a reset and now I can't download it. The App Store needs to be fixed or the Kindle App needs to be fixed. Help please.

One would presume that, if what you were told was true, Amazon has reported this problem to Apple and that Apple is working on a correction.
Perhaps this wil be corrected soon.

Unable To Find Amazon Kindle App

I am currently using a BB Q10 which is a pretty nice phone. However there is a slight problem where I am unable to find the Amazon kindle App, please state the reason and any assistance would be greatly appreciated

I don't really know the reason, could be a little misunderstanding between Amazon and Blackberry, but the kindle app is not currently available for the Q10. It is available for the Z10. We should be writing to Amazon and Blackberry to tell them we want the kindle app. I've read that others are writing.

Has anyone tried the Amazon app on their iPad yet? If i understand it correctly, you can order your books through your Amazon account instead of from Apple's site. Is that right? I currently have a Kindle2 but am thinking about getting the iPad instead ......OK. for other reasons too.

Actually, it appears to simply link you to the Amazon > Kindle web site area for shopping via Safari.

Not a problem. When you start up the Kindle for iPad app, the first thing you do is register your iPad as a "kindle" device and then you can download any previous purchases form your account "archive" area. Would assume any new purchases would be added there and would, of course, then become available for downloading to the iPad. Is also supposed to sync reading locations so you can switch readers and still continue reading from the page where you last left off. (Haven't really tested this, ordered any new content, or looked into how I may, or may not, be able to sync non-purchased files which were converted to DOC files in Pages and then converted to AZW by Amazon.)

I got Touchpad recently and updated it with WebOs 3.05, Kindle App is pre bundled along with the WebOs.
When I launch the Kindle App, it says "This Application is not available in your country".
I have registered my Palm profile with Country as US.
Any idea on how to make Kindle App work?

Looking at your account (based on the email address you used to register here), I don't see a TouchPad registered to that account. I do see a phone, which would explain this (if you associate a TP to the same profile as a previously registered phone, the TP is pointed to the country the phone is set to).
However, since I don't see the TouchPad associated to this account/profile, can you send me a Private Message (PM) with your touchpad's profile email address and I can look into it for you.

Log into Amazon.com again. Click or tap on Your Account at the top and sign in. Then go down to Digital Content and click or tap on Manage Your Kindle under the Digital Management heading. That will take you to a screen where all of your Purchased Kindle books are listed. Tap on the Actions Button on the right next to the book that you want to download and select - Deliver to my - and then select - Your iPad Name - in that pop up window. The book will be delivered to the Kindle app.
You have to allow the book to sync to the app. It can a minute or so. Tap on Device in the Kindle app and the book should be there.

I downloaded Amazon Kindle from Good E Reader. Went fine, opened on my PB after download. However, I'm afraid to close it, as there is no app anywhere! Yes, I've scrolled up, down, left and right, and nothing.

Which tool did you use for the sideloading?
Assuming the tool gave you a Success message the app icon should be at the bottom of your first home page (scroll down)

Kindle books are stored on Amazon's servers. If you're looking for backup, they're already backed up there. Creating in app-purchases for Amazon Kindle Fire

Dear Adobe Community,
my settings so far:
I'm using the InDesign CS6 Digital Publishing Suite,
running on a Professional Subscription.
And ran into some problems with the Amazon Fire in app-purchase system. Let me explain:
My multi-folio app is currently running on Apple iOS and Android and was - accordingly - successfully published into the Apple Store and Google Play.
Now, the next step was the publishing on Amazon Kindle Fire via the Amazon Developer Console.
The viewer is running fine, no problems there; the same goes for the free folio.
On the other hand, the in app-purchases won't. The in app-purchase is submitted, the Amazon Developer portal marked it as "Live", but it won't appear in the viewer.
According to this discussion: Amazon in App & Subscription Purchases it is necessary to match the Amazon SKU number with the Product ID in the Folio Producer, which I did. Do I still have to contact Amazon to achieve a successful launch?
