No App screen-shots in iTunes?

Hello there, this is my first post so I apologise if I am posting in the wrong section, but as far as I can tell, this one seems to be the most appropriate.
From yesterday, and when I switched on today, I've been finding that when I search for Apps in the Apps Store (desktop version on my iMac) I don't get any screens showing images from the App. There is a great, big space where they should be, but no images.
Is anybody else getting this, or am I doing something wrong.
I haven't done anything big on my computer lately, except installing Safari 5, so I don't really understand why it has seemingly randomly started doing this.
If anybody could throw some light on this, that would be most appreciated.

Thanks for the advice Ian. I did what you said and it seemed to work. I think. I tried repairing the permissions once and and found that I was getting the screen-shots for some Apps but not others, but that might have been the case all along and I just hadn't tried it.
So I restarted my computer and then tried repairing the permissions again. This time the ones that didn't work before now seemed to work, But I did search for them a different way this time, so maybe that's why.

I see a new style of screen shots showing in itunes for iOS7, that shows the phone case and sometimes hand holding the device. Are there any templates available for this?

Itunes app store is not showing screen shots (windows 7)

Hi,
Over the last few weeks it seems the app store isn't showing screen shots when i click to see more info about the app. I've been looking at ipad apps, sometimes i get some screen shots but mostly i dont. I've read a thread about resetting the cache in preferences but this didn't work.
Its really harsh not being able to see screen shots before you purchase.
Any ideas!?

Having the same issue as OP. iPad only apps don't show any screen shots in iTunes or on the Web, but i see them on iTunes Connect. Mac App Store applications are showing their screen shots just fine as are iPhone apps.
Does this have something to do with widescreen on iPad, retina display?? We used high quality screen shots for our applications, the best quality the developers guide mentions.
We double checked the Developers Reference Guide for specifications on screen shots and tried 3 of the suggested formats(JPEG, TIFF, PNG) with reso 1024x768 px but nothing has changed since thursday (june 23rd) last week.
0%       iPad applications show screen shots on the iTunes store for me as I write this.
100%   iPhone applications show screen shots.
100%   Mac App Store show screen shots...
Anyone have any more to add? suggestions?
I have already entered a bug report for this.

I just found the problem, open iTunes and select Preferences > Advanced > Reset cache. This helped me, I been having the same problem for the past week.

I tried doing
iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > Reset cache
but that didn't work for me even with restarting iTunes afterward.
However, here's what did fix the problem. Launch
/Applications/Utilities/Java Preferences
Under the 'General' tab click both of the "Restore Defaults" buttons.
Changes take effect after re-launching iTunes.

iTunes uses the same Web Engine as Safari to display the store, so the Safari update could be the issue.
Try running Repair Permissions, it is in the Disk Utility software that is in your Utilities folder.

IPhone - Update app and updated screen shots get posted to iTune

A few weeks ago we submitted updates for our 8 apps on iTunes. When we submitted the apps we added updated screen shots to the version of the app that was in review. We just found out that all of our screen shots on iTunes were updated over a week ago for our existing apps, but our update has not been approved yet. We did not update the screen shots for the version of our app that is "Ready for Sale". Is this a bug in iTunes Connect? Is this something we should not have done? It looks like you can add new screen shots for your updated app since iTunes Connect makes a copy of your app for the update. Were we supposed to wait until after our app gets approved to update the screen shots?

Unfortunately the only thing that is tiemd with your update is the separate update changes text.
All other text and images are updated within a day so anyone making big updates needs to either:
1. Update manually after they notice their update is now live. Downside is there will be some people who view the listing before your changes are made.
2. Post the update photos and include a large note that this is for the coming update that is still being approved. Users can buy the current version and get all the features of the new version for free when it's approved.
As you've noted people may be downloading your current app thinking they're getting the features now shown, which will be frustrating for them.

Grayed Out Apps Screens in iTunes 3rd Gen iPod Touch Apps Screen

I have downloanloaded at least 200 apps t my iPod Touch. Been playing them for 18 months now. Never had issues.
The situation is, the iTunes display window, when I have my iTouch selected, (after it's plugged in to my Mac and shows up in the left hand column), and I have the "Apps" selected, will shows 2 columns. The left column that shows your apps you have in the iTunes Library on your Mac; and the right hand column that shows the multiple page displays of the windows which simulate what you should see on your actual iPod Touch display when you scroll through all your pages. After you "Sync" these should be identical if you have all the apps in the left window "checked" and you have "checked" the box just underneath the left hand column that states "Automatically sync new apps".
The problem is I have apps downloaded which are displayed in my left column which are the apps in my Mac iTunes Library, many of those apps are displayed on the iPod Touch right side in a grayed out page display. 3 Pages and a fourth blank grey screen. Everything has been synced. Te grayed out screens that are in the right column in the iTunes window, (which should be the ones on my actual iTouch), are not on my actual iTouch.
I have even manuaaly dragged one of the grated out apps again to the blank grayed out screen (right column), re-synced, just to see if it shows up on my actual iTouch. No go.
I'm not sure how long I haven't noticed this problem, but I do know a year ago, it never did this.
Is this coincidance that I am also having the slow down issues that a few people have posted concerning the new iOS 5 for the 3rd Gen iTouches.
Not sure. Didn't pay attention enough to the time frames.
Any one have a suggestion(s) as to a solution, besides the obvious "Restore" in iTunes. Did it already.
By the way. When I first open iTunes and these 2 columns are displayed, there are not any grayed out display pages in the right column. Only after I "Sync"

Retina display is only supported on 4th gen. The cheaper the screen is, the better the chance you have of getting ripped off. The safest way is to have Apple replace the iPod.

Exclamation Point & Duplicate App Icon - iTunes App Screen

I just did a sync of my iPhone 3G. In iTunes in the Apps screen on my PC some of the App icons have been duplicated and there is an exclamation point in front of them. So:
1) What does this mean?
2) How do I correct it with minimum muss & fuss?
**Please note: due to previous bad encounters with 0S4 I *will not* be installing it, so please don't suggest that. Furthermore, since iTunes 9.2 will not function properly without OS4, I am using iTunes 9.1.1. (See my previous post regarding issues with iTunes 9.2 & my 3G iPhone.)

Right clicking on the duplicate with the exclamation point brings up a pull down menu that says:
- Get Info
- Show in Windows Explorer
- Delete
Get info = The Application "name of application" could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" It then brings up the location if you continue on.
Meanwhile it now seems that MOST of the duplicate App icons have this duplicate with the !, while a couple just seem to be duplicates.
Again, I'm wondering as to the cause of this & how to correct it without having to do major stuff.

Apps screen blanked out in new Itunes

I installed 3.1 and itunes 9. When I go to the Apps tab in itune with my iphone connected the apps screens are greyed out. I do not have restrictions on, and I have checked the preferences box to block auto sync. Ideas?

Sounds identical to what has happened to me. I have 3GS, iTunes 9.0.1, OS 3.1
iTunes acts normally when nothing is connected to it. I can see all apps and undate them. When I connect my iPhone to sync, everything will sync but the apps. They are present, but greyed and frozen. I can't manipulate them around like I would re-arrange my iPhone (which looks like a neat new feature in iTunes), I can't check or uncheck any of the apps to sync and update them with my iPhone. So far the iPhone seems to be working fine, and the apps on it still work, but they aren't being updated.

I have 2 apps that say they need to be loaded on itunes or wi-fi because they are to big but I can not get them to delete on my ipad app screen they still say they are loading and I have deleted them on my itunes screen on my pc what do I need to do?

How to screen shot a video dowloaded off iTunes ?

so i bought off iTunes two seasons of my favorite t.v. show, but whenever i try to screen shot a scene, it doesnt work. i just get a bunch of gray and white squares as if the image was empty. i've never had this problem with other movies from my iTune libary. is it just a t.v. show thing? is there any way around it? please help me.

DRM (Digital Rights Management) being affected to a video can do this. Might try using VLC or something similar to grab a screenshot.

When I enter time machine (on Time Capsule) i see the stack of screen shots and the time line. However, when I roll over the mouse pointer, the time line does not activate. The cancel button does not get me out of the app: have to alt cmd esc. Ideas?

On iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - it should then look similar to that article.

Note that synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync - so you need to include all the photos that you want on the iPad from your computer in each photo sync.

Anyway here's what I did:
I'd wrote an email to Apple America, even if I'd purchased the item in Europe and the US support usually should not be involved in any European case.
They wrote me back that a European office will have call me in 48 hours.
After a couple of days I've received a call and a new iPod is coming from US...
Don't ask me if I can find any kind of logic behind it, but at least I can state that the US support has been decisive.

After downloading an app, how to get back to last screen shot of app store...

After selecting to install an ap, after lot of scanning of pages, the ap download screen is displayed. After the installation, when I select to go back to the categories option , it goes back to the first page of categories... After which I have to painfully go thru all the pages I have already seen.. Any way I can go to the last screen shot of categories instead?

I have screen shots of the messages and what happens when I try to play games on Facebook since I updated Firefox. Issues I didn't have before the update. Where do I send them? How do I correct this?

The screen shots include the web address for both shots. One is for script error messages that keep interrupting EVERY game. Then after I stop the scrip, Adobe Flash crashes, and I have no control. I have to use the Windows Task Manager to gain access to my home page to get out.
This didn't happen until I updated the Firefox this last time. I've tried everything and nothing works to get rid of the problem.
