No 'Application system' available to create container

HI,
I' m a developer that installed Designer 6i on my home PC.
My PC is a Pentium 4 with Win2000 professional.
The database is Oracle 8.1.7.0.0.
I have also installed Forms 6i and Reports 6i.
The database, Forms and Reports work OK.
Now here is the problem:
I installed Designer 6i, that was succesfull, also creating the repository went well.
First I created 2 tablespaces:
tbs_INDEXES
tbs_TABLES
Then I created a rollback tablespace:
tbs_ROLLB
After that I created a rollback segment and put it online.
I added a datafile to increase the SYSTEM tablespace.
Then I created a temporary tablespace and also created a user with all necessary priveleges.
So, I logged into the Repository Administration utility and clicked on INSTALL (Support for Repository (Core)Objects - checked) then START. I changed the tablespaces (INDEX, TABLES) as created above and installation began.
After 45 min. installation was succesfull and after checking everyting I tried to create a container. I started the repository Object Navigator and saw a node GLOBAL SHARED WORKAREA and beneath that a node WASTEBASKET.
When I tried to create a child-node I did not get a pop-up screen with options. A node was added and I had to give it a name. Standing on that new node, and creating again a child node I got a pop-up with the options FOLDERS and FILES. Still no 'Application system' option.
Can someone please help me?

P.S.: don't direct me to websites with a possible solutions. I have been surfing the net for 2 days now and did not find anything.

Jan,
When you install the repository you have the choice to install the core model or the core model plus the Designer structured model. I believe you have only installed the core model.
Reinstall from the RAU and when asked check the Designer model check box.

first you must to give execution grant for sys.dbms_lock and sys.dbms_pipe to repos owner. And MAX_ENABLES_ROLES must be in multiples of 10 and should execeed 20 in your
INITxxx.ORA file.
But I must to say that, I have this problem with RME-02124 RME-o2105 and ORA-01403 problems. And adviced solution that is mentioned above have not been solving my problem.. :(

Error when trying to create an Application System

Hi everybody,
I've installed on my computer Personal Oracle 8i and Designer 6.0. For the installation, I used valuable informations from someone called Mark (he's on this list - thank you very much) but I still have a problem: when I try to create a new Application System, I got the following error messages:
RME-00011: Operation 'open' on ACTIVITY has failed
RME-00011: Operation 'INS' on ci_application_systems has failed
Does anybody know what is causing these errors? I searched through help but the proposed solutions are very generic. They just say "Try to find more specific errors".
Can someone help me, please?

In my application all the navigation rules are defined in faces-config.xml.
But I found following statement in the "fusion developers guide"
'**You cannot specify dialog:syntax in navigation rules within the faces-config.xml file if your Fusion web application uses ADF Controller features such as task flows. However, you can use the dialog:syntax in the control flow rules that you specify in the adfc-config.xml file.**'
Since, my application is using faces-config.xml for defining navigation rules and using task-flow as well, I suspect , this is the root of my problem.
Do u have any solution for it?

No system available for user mapping in create new group.

Hi Experts,
I faced this problem when i create a new group
"There are no systems available for user mapping for the selected principal."
i checked that my server is running well with other groups.
i would just like to ask what determines the "selected principal"? is it because i select the wrong roles or the roles does not need the system?
i'm confused as some previous groups i created works well until this new group, i've tried to create a new 1 but the problem still exsist.

Define permission to the system that you have created.
right click on hte system that you have ccreated - > in properties dropdown go to permissions -> search the group/ user for which you want to map this system - > and give permission as enduser.
this will make your system accessible while user mapping.

Hi to all,
I've installed SAP BPC,..I've followed to the post installation steps, and the only things weird is that I don't see the newly application that I've created in the list of the available applications when accessing through Microsoft Office (I see Finance, Legal, ecc...but not mine).
Any idea why?

Hi,
This happens when the member access profile is not maintained for an application. You can go to Admin and open your member access profile. You will find tabs for each of the application. You can refer to the existing applications and do the same for the newly created application. Then go to excel, click on connection wizard and login.

"No transaction type is available for creating a transaction" service order

Hi all,
I am new in IC .
I try to create service order or service ticket for incoming calls
We are using CRM 7.0
After I confirm the account I try to create service order
But no screen displayed and error "No transaction type is available for creating a transaction" occurs
in customizing there is a transaction type SRVO, also I copied it to ZRVO
But here how can I define that this transaction type is assigned to this application??

My senario is, taking phones, create interaction record and create order for further investigation.
I copied IC_AGENT role.
I copied transaction type 0010 to Z010
I create business transaction named ZBTP for transaction type Z010
I made Define Transaction Types for Navigation for Z010
Then Define Business Role -> Assign Function Profiles
Here I assign my business transaction ZBTP to IC_BT function profile
But when I connect tot the system with user having this business role
I can create interaction record with type Z010, it is ok.
When I press Service Order it gives this error.
Work center id for Service order is : IC_UIU_SVO
I copied my business role from IC_AGENT, and here this work center id was not active
In my business role I made it active. Is this work center can't used in IC senario
Also how can I understand which transaction type is needed for it??
If I know which transaction type is needed to create service order or service ticket under IC, then I will control it of course..
I also copied transaction type TSVO(service IC) to ZSVO and do the above things for this type too..
But nothing changed..

AC20000027 - Element PURCHASINGCONTRACT is not available in the container

I created the simple WF. Start event - RELEASESTEPCREATED, object - BUS2012. WF have one step, task - "TS20000166 Release of purchase order". When I start my workflow in test run the status is set to "error" - "Element PURCHASINGCONTRACT is not available in the container", Message no. OL356.
Testing the WF in transaction SWUD don't found any errors.
Can anybody help me with this?

I worked on Release strategy for PO.
I am SURE the Problem is with RULE, RULE is not returning any agents.
The problem is that the rule (20000027) your using is not returning any agents.
1. Just go to transaction PFAC and enter the RULE. go to display mode.
Click on the second button in the application tool bar (SIMULATE RULE RESOLUTION - shift + F8 ) a popup sort of screen will be displayed.
Now enter the PO number and Release code.
Execute the DETAIL button in the middle of the popup screen.
See if the rule is returning any agents.
2. If the above mentioned test is successfully executed,
Check in your workflow SWDD.
Open your workflow.
Double click on the RELEASE CODE workflow container element.
Check if the structure defined under D.Type is - T16FC and Field is - FRGCO.
3. If even the 2nd point is correct,
Check the binding for the step '0000000004'
In the binding, Pass the Busines Object BUS2012 (Purchase order) and RELEASE CODE (T16FC-FRGCO) that are present in the Workflow container. and check if they both are import and export parameters.
3. You are sure that the agents are specified in SPRO (under Material management >> PURCHASING >> Purchase order/CONTRACT >> Release Procedure for PO/CONTRACT >> Define release procedure for PO / CONTRACT >> WORKFLOW )
If you double click on WORKFLOW, you will see that the AGENT IDs are assigned to the Release Group and release codes of Purchase Order.
Eg: Release group       Release code Agent Type        Agent ID
            01                          L1               US                SAPUSER1
            01                          L2               US                SAPUSER2
            01                          L3               US                SAPUSER3
            01                          L4               US                SAPUSER4
Try all this and tell me the result.

SAP_J2EE_ADMIN, no systems available for user mapping

We are using EP 7.0 to run CRM applications (client 100).
We are creating portal users in 001 client of CRM server.
When I try to map users of portal to users of crm through user administration, it says that, "There are no systems available for user mapping for the selected principal".
I discovered that this warning disappears if I give the user has SAP_J2EE_ADMIN role in 001 client. But this time the user has the content adminstrator, user administrator and system administrator tabs as well. I don't want to give administrator rights to everyone.
What can I do?
Any recommendations?

I maintained the permissions like Administrator:None, End User:X, Role Assigner:X.
I removed the J2EE_ADMIN role from the user.
But unfortunately the result did not change. The user can not access the CRM system.

Grouping collected versions of Designer 6 application systems in 10g

Hello,
I wasn't sure how to make the Subject clear, hopefully I'll explain my problem anyway.
I'm testing the migration of application systems from Designer 6 to Designer 10g. Some of the v6 application systems are versioned in the sense that we created new versions and froze the current one, i.e in the RON, select Application > New Version in v6. So, we may have several 'versions' of an application system called TEST, i.e.
TEST (1)
TEST (2)
TEST (3)
... and so on to TEST (X). X is live, the rest are frozen.
In the 10g RON, each version (all frozen and live) of TEST appears as a separate Container in its own right. Imagine we have this situation with other named application systems we've migrated - we're dealing with a big list in the RON.
What I want to do is group all my TEST containers under a 'TEST' top level container to make navigating a bit easier (so I can expand the top level only if I want to see all the versions underneath). I did this and used the option 'Copy Application System' to copy TEST (1) and TEST (2) into this TEST top level. Unfortunately the audit info for TEST (1) and TEST (2) under the new TEST container has been lost - they now have today's date. As they're copies, I still have TEST (1) and TEST (2) as explicit Containers in their own right, but I can't see how to group them as I'd like without losing this audit info.
So - is this possible? If so, what am I doing wrong?
Hope I've explained myself. I should add we're not switching versioning on in 10g yet, so we've the GLOBAL_SHARED_WORKAREA for the moment.

Thanks again. We need to bring older versions of the frozen application systems, e.g. TEST(4), as we have interdependencies with other application systems (in terms of shared objects). Otherwise we would have only brought the latest versions over to simplify things.
When you say at the end of your reponse to 'start the SCM's method of versioning', you're talking about switching the versioning on in 10g, right? We were going to migrate our v6 content and use the GLOBAL_SHARED_WORKAREA for the moment, and enabling versioning and all that entails would be the next phase.

ApplicationClientInitialContextFactory is for clients which got deployed inside OC4J container..
For looking up EJB from a stand alone java client please use RMIInitialContextFactory..So please change ur code....
Also please check ur server.xml
Since you have specified your ejb domain as "sampledemo"
you have to use that domian only for look up..But it seems that you are looking up for "Demo" domain instead of "sampledemo" domain...So change your code to reflect that..

Hyperion Planning connection failure - No Applications are Available

Hi,
I am facing an issue and hoping to obtain some help from you gurus. I installed Hyperion Planning and Oracle db in the VM. Sample app installed. Everything worked fine. For some reasons, I need to change the ip address of the VM. THEN, when I connect to Hyperion Planning again using IE, it shows No applications are available on the logon page. I have already changed the settings in Tomcat's xml files to reflect the new ip. The exception thrown is as followed. The ip address: 172.16.36.133 is old, and I can't find anywhere to change it. Can someone please help?

Hi,
If you have installed on tomcat have a look at :- \Hyperion\deployments\Tomcat5\HyperionPlanning\webapps\HyperionPlanning\WEB-INF\classes\PlanningSystemDB.properties
Look for the line :- SYSTEM_DB_URL=
Does it contain a machine name or ip address.
If it is an ip address and you entered a machine name when you configured then there is something wrong with the network on your VM
