No Auc or summary management of Auc

Hi All,
Could you please explain with detailed in the asset class  there is a field ' No AUC or summary mangement of AUC'.
2).  Line item settlement.
3). Investment Measure.
Thanks
Chinna

Hi,
1) No AUC or summary mangement of AUC'
Please go to tr. OAOA and press in this field the F1 help. There you find a god explanation.
2)  Line item settlement.
http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/EN/2a/f9f7de493111d182b70000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
3) Investment Measure.
An internal order, maintenance order or a work breakdown structure (WBS) element used when an enterprise carries out an undertaking with the goal of producing a fixed asset for its own long-term use.
For the most part, these are investment measures that cannot be posted and capitalized directly in the asset portfolio due to their scope, their significance to the enterprise, and/or the large percentage of in-house production involved.
A capital investment measure is always linked to at least one asset under construction for accounting purposes. It can be linked to more than one asset under construction, but only if there is a breakdown according to cost element groups (in other words, there is one asset under construction for each cost element group).

  • Asset class summary management auc

    Dear Forum,
May I know what is the meaning of summary management auc under status of auc in asset class OAOA.
Hope to have advice as I read from F1 but yet not clear.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    F1-Help:
The summary management of the asset under construction has the following affects:
o Only complete transfers or simple partial transfers are possible (in other words, you can only transfer either prior-year
acquisitions or current-year acquisitions in one given posting transaction).
o You can only transfer to one target asset per posting transaction. You have to enter the amount of the transfer manually.
o There is no connection to the original asset under construction in the capitalized asset. Therefore, there is no exact proof of
       origin for the original postings.

  • Automated summary management not enabled in Admin

I probably missed something, I've run the eulasm.sql script but I still can't access the summary feature. I can only access the radio buttons to create external summary tables.
I am using Discoverer4i Admin Edition and 8.1.7.
    Thanks!

The summary management feature of Discoverer creates a
materialized view for aggregated data. To create MView following
    is prerequisite.
"To create a materialized view in your own schema:
You must have been granted either the CREATE MATERIALIZED
VIEW or CREATE SNAPSHOT system privilege and either the CREATE
    TABLE or
    CREATE ANY TABLE system privilege.
You must also have access to any master tables of the
materialized view that you do not own, either through a SELECT
    object privilege on
each of the tables or through the SELECT ANY TABLE system
    privilege.
To create a materialized view in another user's schema:
You must have the CREATE ANY MATERIALIZED VIEW or CREATE
ANY SNAPSHOT system privilege and access to any master tables of
    the
materialized view that you do not own, either through a
SELECT object privilege on each of the tables or through the
    SELECT ANY TABLE
    system privilege.
The owner or the materialized view must have the CREATE
TABLE system privilege. The owner must also have access to any
    master tables
of the materialized view that the schema owner does not own
and to any materialized view logs defined on those master
    tables, either
through a SELECT object privilege on each of the tables or
through the SELECT ANY TABLE system privilege.
To create the materialized view with query rewrite enabled, in
    addition to the preceding privileges:
The owner of the master tables must have the QUERY REWRITE
    system privilege.
If you are not the owner of the master tables, you must
have the GLOBAL QUERY REWRITE system privilege.
If the schema owner does not own the master tables, then
the schema owner must have the GLOBAL QUERY REWRITE privilege.
The user whose schema contains the materialized view must have
sufficient quota in the target tablespace to store the
    materialized view's
master table and index, or must have the UNLIMITED TABLESPACE
    system privilege."
Please check these settings/privileges then try.

    Hi,
Worth checking that the user/responsibility has "Create/Edit Summaries" privilege and that the user/responsibility has "Allow Administration" access to the business areas.
Also check that the database user has CREATE/DROP/ALTER ANY MATERIALIZED VIEW and GLOBAL QUERY REWRITE (see http://download.oracle.com/docs/html/B13916_04/mging_sums.htm#i1011476 for full details)

  • Changing AUC Status on Asset Class

    Hi Gurus,
We’ve have a few asset classes in our production system where the “line item settlement” has been selected, however, these asset classes are not AUC. These asset classes are not very ‘active’ and not many transactions occur in these classes throughout the year but we’ve come across some scenarios where we’ve tried to acquire assets through these classes using transaction type 153 (affiliated company, gross) and we’re getting error message because these asset classes are incorrectly categorized as line item settlement (i.e. open item managed) so we have made the decision to correct these classes and change the AUC status to “No AUC or summary management of AUC” in OAOA.
My question is in your experience have you’ve ever come across similar situation, what should I be testing or what processes I should follow to make sure the existing assets in these asset classes are not negatively impacted.
Any recommendation or thought would be much appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
if you don't have transaction do the changes if you have transaction it's quite diffcult to change status however we can do the table level change it works.
do the changes in Development client and test it.

  • AUC AND CWIP

    hi
    Guru's
what is the difference between AUC AND CWIP
please explain in details, with examples
    and Accounting entries,
    with regards
    Arun Kumar

    Hi
Both are same according to SAP
Assets under construction (AuC or CWIP or Capital work-in-progress) are a special forms of tangible assets. They are displayed as a separate balance sheet item and require, therefore, separate account determination and their own asset classes. During the phase in which an asset is under construction, all actual postings are assigned to the AuC (CWIP). Once the asset is completed, a transfer is made to a master record to be created in the completed fixed assets.
Assets under construction (capital work-in-progress) can be managed for summary settlement or by line item. In the case of summary management, the entire expenses incurred are transferred once or several times to the asset(s) in the completed tangible fixed assets at the time of completion. When assets under construction (capital work-in-progress) are managed by line item, you can enter settlement rules for every line item assigned to the AuC (CWIP).

  • How am I able to use an injected EJB in a Managed Bean Constructor?

    JSF 1.2
    EJB 3.0
    Glassfish v1
    Summary:
Managed bean injected EJB is null when referencing EJB var in constructor.
    Details:
In my managed bean, I have a constructor that tries to reference an injected EJB, such as:
    public class CustomerBean implements Serializable {
    @EJB private CustomerSessionRemote customerSessionRemote;
    public CustomerBean() {
    List<CustomerRow> results = customerSessionRemote.getCustomerList();
}The call within the constructor to customerSessionRemote is null - I've double checked this in Netbeans 5.5.
How am I able to use an injected EJB in a Managed Bean Constructor?
    Thanks,
    --Todd

OK, I was reading the article Web Tier to Go With Java EE 5: A Look at Resource Injection and I understand your statement too.
Is there any way possible to Inject the EJB prior to the bean instance creation at all?
Maybe, I need to approach it with the old fashion Java EE 1.4 route and using JNDI in the PostConstruct annotated method to reference the EJB in the managed bean.
This had to been thought out before, I don't understand why a manged bean's life cycle places any injections at the end of the bean creation.
Also, now that I understand that the @PostConstruct annotated method will be called by the container after the bean has been constructed and before any business methods of the bean are executed.
I am trying to reference my EJB as part of the creation of the managed bean.
What happens: the JSF page loads the managed bean and I need to populate a listbox component with data from an EJB.
When I try to make the call to the EJB in the listbox setter method, the EJB reference is null.
Now, I'm not for sure if the @PostConstruct annotation is going to work... hmmmm.
** Figured it out. ** I just needed to move the EJB logic that was still in the setter of the component I wanted to populate into the annotated PostConstruct method.

  • DVM setup in Solution Manager.

    Hello,
I want to know, using SAP DVM below can be achieved or not. It would be great if anyone can share documentation those who had implemented this already.
    Data Volume Management
o     Show the database growth status for all the systems, if possible in a dashboard
o     Projection u2013 what is the available storage and how much to increase?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
If you want to have a clear understanding of Data Volume Mnagement (DVM) I would recomend reading the white paper on the subject.
    https://websmp105.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000336572007E
However if you don't want to give it a read, I have cut the Management Summary, which should give you a good overview from a non-technical point of view.
    1 Management Summary
Managing complexity, risk, costs as well as skills and resources is at the heart of implement-ing mission critical support for SAP-centric solutions. The complexity rises even further with the trend of outtasking and outsourcing of process components. To help customers manage their SAP-centric solutions, SAP provides a comprehensive set of standards for solution op-erations.
Out of this set of standards, the data volume management standard. Due to the tendency to run highly interconnected systems (internal and external) and the business needs to have data instantly accessible, data volumes are growing and growing. The data volume manage-ment standard defines how to manage data growth by avoiding data creation, archiving data, and deleting data. The standard helps customers to increase the availability of their solution because administration tasks like software upgrade, database reorganization, data backups or recovery can be done in less time. In addition, the customer can reduce time needed for managing disk space and benefit from more efficient use of resources such as hard drives, memory, and CPU.
This paper provides details regarding the data volume management standard. At first, it ex-plains the basic concept of the standard. It explains the basic concept of the standard and describes the different steps within the process flow. Then it provides details regarding im-plementation and operation methodologies for data volume management and lists the tools and roles involved in the process. Finally, the paper discusses how key performance indica-tors can be used to measure the success of data volume management and to control corre-sponding service level agreements.

    SAP Standard Data Volume Management
    Version: 1.0
So in essence it is a standard and methodologies to support that standard.
It is implemented as a Service that can be delivered by SAP or by the Customer.
I hope this link and information help crystalize your understanding.

  • Error while creatiing asset under AS01

    Hello Sap experts,
Our client is facing an issue when the user is creating asset under t.code AS01 that u2018you can use asset class 34100 for capital investment measures onlyu2019
When we checked asset class 34100, there was tick mark on radio button u2018Investment Measureu2019 & we remove it & tick on radio button u2018No AUC or summary management of AUCu2019 & save it & the error remove
We have provided this solution to user but we are not sure that in future this change will not create any problem to the user
Even we also checked that if we tick on radio button u2018Line item Settlementu2019 instead of u2018No AUC or summary management of AUCu2019 then also that error was not coming
We please suggest which is the correct solution of this issue.
    Thanks & Regards
    Deepak Garg

    Hi Deepak,
The Asset Creation is not possible with the AS01 for the AUC Assets as because your client is using the investment management for this specified requirement.
We can create the AUC with the WBS element with the transaction CJ20N
For that you have to create a project and wbs element with the required investment profile related to Assets like land buildings etc (what ever it may be) then only you will be able to create AUC Asset.
    Thanks

  • Down payment (F-48)   for Asset Purchase Order

    Dear Experts,
Please guide me,   i  am getting one error while doing down payment to  vendor through F-48 ,    I created one asset purchase order,  against purchase order making down payment that time  i am getting this  error message
"You cannot use this transaction type to post to this asset
    Message no. AA834
    Diagnosis
The transaction type entered belongs to transaction type group 15. According to the specifications for this transaction type group, posting with transactions types belonging to this group are only allowed in specific asset classes (for example, asset classes for assets under construction).
The asset to which you are posting belongs to class 401006 (chart of depreciation WCCD). You cannot post to this class using the transaction type you have entered.
    Procedure
Check the asset number entered. You may want to allow posting with this transaction type group for the asset class of the asset.  "
my asset is plant and machinery, any configuration is required.
as per my knowledge i checked in T.code : OAYB   transaction type groups   15  only assign AUC asset class and  Capital  Advance.    In account determination  balance sheet  accounts   there is  Acquistion : Down payment   and  Clearin G/lL for Down payment   g/l a/c  not assign .
SAP F1 help  in that field (above said)  is saying that only for AUC.
Please guid me ,   What to do.
    Thanks & Regards
    Chandu

    Hi Chandu,
Can youplease confirm the the Asset Class (the one linked to the asset you are using for carrying out down payment with T.Code F-48) has been set-up in configuration as an AUC asset class. Check on T.Code OAOA for the radio button selected for Status of AUC.
In case your Asset Class - which is Plant & Machinery - has been set up as "No AuC or summary management of AuC" i.e. has been set-up as a final asset class then you will get the error.
    Solution Options:
    (1) Either change the Asset Class set-up (using T.Code OAOA).
Please note - you might not be permitted/able to do this if the system already has posted transactions for this asset class.
    (2) Carry out the downpayment for an AUC Asset (create an AUC Asset using T.Code AS01). Carry out F-48 for this. Later settle this AUC asset to the required/relevant final asset (using T.Codes AIAB and AIBU).
    (3) Specify your Asset Class as available for carrying out DownPayment transaction. Use T.Code OAYB and for Transaction Type Group 15, include/add a new entry for your asset class.
    (4) Ensure that the Account Determination linked to you asset class (check this in T.Code OAOA) has been correctly and adequately set-up for GL account determination (use T.Code AO90).
    Hope this helps.

  • How to upload the CWIP asset balances at the time of cutover

    Hi all,
I want to upload the CWIP assets balances and I tried the same in AS91, but in TAKEOVER VALUE tab all the fields are greyed out (Acq. Value).
Then I clicked on TRANSACTION tab but the Asset value date is in greyed out.
Kindly guide me on the same.
    Regards
    JS

    Hi
Go to the asset class for which you are creating a asset master. In that there should not be tick for "line item settlement". If there is a tick, remove it & put it on "No AuC or summary management of AuC"
But your is for CWIP (i.e. AuC). So you cannot remove the tick. In this case, you will have to create a master in AS01 & then post a transaction for each AuC in F-02. Posting Key will be '70' for assets & '50' for upload balance asset A/c. If number of assets is more, create a LSMW for F-02 for assets.
