No audio after transcoding

Once I transcode the AVI asset, no audio plays when I press the Play button. I can hear the audio when the asset is untranscoded, plus WMP plays the AVI file just fine. I am letting Encore decide the settings.
The audio is fine on the burned DVD.
Length of program: 1hr 55min

Having similar problems. Running on Mac. Some projects I've created work perfectly fine, even now, but new ones have no sound either in preview or when published to disk. One project plays sound (and DVD is ok), but only previews through the internal speaker and not through the external speakers, which are the default audio output device. Encore seems to ignore System audio preferences. It also will not preview sound to external TV when I select this option (at least if it would not play audio in the first place). Other apps work fine, and pay attention to system preferences. Hope it starts working again, that some workaround avails itself, or that a fix shows up soon!

I have very poor video quality after transcoding the video file (MPEG) in Adobe Encore CS5.1. Below you see my used settings in my filmproject.
The problem exists after transcoding in Adobe Encore CS5.1. I checked all steps and found out that there is no problem until transcoding. My exported file in MPEG has very good video and audio quality.
Facts:

Sequence was created from Clip directly with settings above.

I used different transcoding settings such as automatic DVD Transcoding, CBR and VBR.I also set “use maximum render quality”. But all results were always the same: very poor quality.
Why does the encore transcoding cause such bad video quality?
How can I solve this problem?

Welcome to the  discussion forums.
Try going to synching in the sources menu on your tv and selecting 'change itunes library', when it gives you the passcode check itunes to see if the tv is showing up as a new device, if so try entering the pass code. It may be that your tv is seeing itunes as a different library because of a recent upgrade.

Sony DCR SX65 has no audio after import

My iMovie app on my Mac Mini has lately not been loading audio after videos have been imported from my Sony DCR SX65. This is something recent as I have previous videos with sound but now it all my uploads do not have sound.

is the VHS tape old or the MiniDV tape? if VHS, it could be that the signal has just deteriorated over time--it can happen w/ poor storage(heat, laying tapes on flat, not re-wound, etc...) & just age. have you tried not recording to MiniDV & just sending the VHS signals through the Sony w/ out a tape in it? it could be that one or more of you audio cables has gone bad, you may have dirty heads in either the VHS VCR &/or the MiniDV or have audio in problems w/ the Sony &/or audio out problems on the VHS VCR or maybe you have a FW issue on the Sony or w/ your FW cable. if you have access to another cam &/or VCR as well as FW & A-V cables, start swapping/troubleshooting & see if your results improve.

Video Quality After Transcoding Disappointing In CS4

I am new to Encore so my situation may be as a result of my ignorance. I have come to appreciate HD video so I purchased a Hauppauge HD PVR to capture programs in HD. I have captured multiple HD video clips in a .mp4 format. I bring those clips into Premier Pro CS4 and when viewing them individually, they look great - crisp, clear video that looks fantastic. Once I have put my video together (consisting of several clips that is about 1 hour long total), I then select Adobe Dynamic Link and send the project to Encore to burn onto a 25GB blu-ray disc. I have tried 2 or 3 different settings in Encore and the result is a video that is 1920 x 1080 full screen but the video quality is disappointing. It's as though a "soft filter" is used in the video effectively taking away the crisp, clean video I see in the original clips I imported into Premier Pro - the very thing I have come to love about HD (ex: beads of sweat on faces, seeing individual strands of hair on someones head, etc.). Am I being unrealistic to expect the same quality video after being transcoded in Encore that I see in the individual clips I originally inported into Premier Pro or I am I just doing something wrong? It sounds like you are familiar with Encore. Let me ask this general question. Can one expect to achieve the same video quality after transcoding in Encore as the video originally imported or is some loss inevitable?
Actually, this should answer both questions.
What happens first is that your capture device/card will compress the signal originally. You then Import this footage into PrPro for editing. It will not be edited in it native format, as it is compressed and is also GOP (Group of Pictures) format, i.e. there are not real Frames to edit. These must be created for Frame editing. Now, you're working pretty much in a good replication of your initially compressed files. Here comes the problem: you now wish to Export to a BD. You need to re-compress and Transcode this material in PrPro to a format that can be used on a BD player. A second compression and Transcode will need to take place.
As an example, lets use FAX machines and desktop printers. You create a document in Word and print it out with your 1200 dpi desktop printer. This is a pretty high quality document. It's like the HD TV signal. Next, you run your original document printout through your copy machine. This still looks pretty good, but not up to the original. This is what your capture card has now produced. Then, you take that copy and FAX it to a friend. It now starts to show degradation. This is like that second compression and Transcoding.
Not sure what a better workflow would be for HD TV capture.

Since 5.1 update, my Apple TV has no audio after waking from sleep mode. I can get audio back if I manually put it to sleep through settings. Help please?

Since the 5.1 update, my Apple TV 2 has no audio after it wakes from sleep mode. To get audio back I need to go to settings and manually put it to sleep then wake it up. Once I do this I have audio. I have restarted the Apple TV as well as me modem and router. I have searched the boards and cannot find a solution. Please help.

MacBook OSX 10.6.5 No audio after update

Hello, My aluminum 13" MacBook has been fine up until a few weeks ago. The internal speakers do not work after Mac OSX 10.6.5 boots up. I hear the 'gong' on initial start up... but no audio after OSX boots. I have tried plugging in headphones, using a toothpick- nothing works. The sound preferences show 'Internal Speakers' and Built in.
Another interesting fact is iTunes reports "an unknown error occurred -200". Very helpful message.
If I boot into Windows Vista using BootCamp.. audio works just fine. So, the speakers and audio hardware are not malfunctioning. It's clearly an OSX configuration problem.
Any ideas on what I can do to get my audio back? The only thing that has changed was I let Apple Updater install a few patches.

If you have not already done so, run Disk Utility's "Verify Disk" & "Repair Permissions" routines on your startup drive (in that order). If the verify disk step finds any problems, you must correct them before continuing.
Try creating a new, temporary user account. Restart your Mac, logging into that account only. If the speakers now work then something associated with your normal user account is the problem, such as a login item or bad preference file.
If the speakers still don't work with this account, you can delete it. Then try starting up in Safe Mode. If the speakers now work something that Safe Mode disables is the culprit, such as a third party or non-essential extension, an add-on system modifier, startup item, etc.
If none of the above help, try downloading & installing the 10.5.6 combo update. If that doesn't help then you may need to reinstall the OS & update it to the current version.

How can we monitor the audio after the cleanup process before we actually record the trans

I have the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS board and I am using it to transfer vinyl records to make CDs. Before my upgrading of Creative Media Source 2 to Creative Media Source 5, I was able to monitor the audio after the cleanup prior to the transfering process. Now I can only monitor the sound at the line input point and not after the cleanup process. Is there any way that we can do that?Vinylrecord

Assuming you mean Actions when you say "Batches", use this menu...
1. Click on the name of the actions set you wish to save.
2. Click the fly-out menu icon at the upper-right corner.
3. Save Actions, put them someplace on your hard drive other than in the Photoshop installation area.

I recently bought hp - s 4515s probook, since its only op system was linux i replaced it with xp , i installed all drivers but for some reason i lose audio after restart, at the moment the only way for me to get audio is by installing the Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High-Definition Audio every time i start the machine.
Does anybody have the same problem or know a solution for this kind of behavior ?

(A) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
(B) Swipe upwards from bottom of screen to launch Control Center. Make sure sound is not muted (tap the little bell)

Hello all looks normal when the problem was presented simultaneously opened LPX LP9 and when you return to open a new project or the same project and I only have audio in my headphones output interface, my interface is a motu 828Mk2 the project exists and the interface looks normal in every normal output comprises all looks normal just never sounds like it had passed but never opened the two programs at the same time not to do, I use a digital mixer yamaha normal surface responds as ccontrolador all seems to work perfect but I only have audio output from the headphones even if I motu channel by channel and I assign output sound headset

No audio after using capture now to log files

I'm trying to import some footage into final cut pro but having trouble getting the audio to work. I'm using my camera as a deck and I can hear the sound coming from the camera, I can also hear it when I'm logging/capturing and when i'm using capture now. someone had suggested that I turn off the audio in the sequence and canvas. I'm not sure how to turn it off in the canvas but i tried turning it off in the sequence and I still don't get audio after I capture the clips. Any ideas/suggestions?

Flash export quits after transcoding - process incomplete.

Hi,
all of my files go through transcoding but Encore quits as soon as the last bit of transcoding is done. I am left with an empty source folder.
I do have one orphan timeline, however, I have a chapter playlist created from it.
I am going to make a back up of my project and delete the orphaned timeline and try again - wait 7 hours - and see what happens.
I'm just not sue if deleting this timeline will affect my chapter playlist?
In the meantime I thought I would post the issue and see if anything comes about from it.
