No audio from new computer

I cannot get any sounds from a newly purchased Windows 8 computer.  As a new operating system to me I wondered if there was something I should be setting up that I dont know about.

Hi Gyde,
I would be happy to assist if needed. How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

  • How to play music or voice audio from my computer though my sterio system.

How can I play music or voice audio from my iMac G5 computer though my sterio system. I have tried everything I can think of. I just can not get the audio from my computer to play though my sterio system. I want to take the audio from my computer and record it back to audio cassett. Please tell me there is a easy way to go about this LOL. Thanks.

I wanted to give a big thanks to all that gave me great and very needed help. I wanted to let everyone know that. I did fix my problom with get music out of my computer and into my stereo. Here is how I did it. If you already have a stereo with a RCA line in you are good to go. All you need is a hifi-link I got one from circuit city. With it you can take the music from your computer be PC or Mac and play it though your stereo but again your stereo must have a audio in for you to get music to come though your stereo or at least it was the only way I could get it to work for me. Oh and you will need a free USB port on your computer for the hifi-link to hook to see it dose not us your computers audio card. Instead it go's though your USB. It work just great. But you should read on the back of the box or when you are looking for iy on the net make shour it will work with your computer some older systems it will not work with.
I have been needing a new stereo for sometime now. I really like shelf stereo systems. So I got me a Sony MHC-GX570XM. Now it sells for $249.95. Now I did a search for this system and the only plays I could find that sells it was Sony. Now here is the kicker I went to Sams with my Dad. We had stoped to look a the flat screen TVs. As we were walking away from the electronics. I saw it as plain has day there it was in all it glory. Now the crazy thing is this system was not on there web site though it could be now. But when I was looking for this cool system they did not have it on there web site. I got this system for get this $199 thats like I think $50 off the asking price. Now I would have been more then happy to pay the $249.95. I liked to have had a fit right there in the store LOL. I thought I was going to have to order it online. If I had did that I would had haved to pay even more with s/h...
Now two of the big reasons I got this system was for the PC/line in or you can hook up a MP3 player and play it though the system very cool. Sec reason It has to cassettes decks 1 plays and the other recordes. The really cool thing is it is XM radio ready. Though you will need a XM membership and a XM antina. But from what I have read thats all you need. It also has a 3 CD changer that swivals. It has so many cool thing I can not name them all. Now this system my not be for everyone. But it dose all that I need and more. Also it really helps to have a hifi-link so you can hook it to your computer the easy way and not have to go though your sound card. Thanks again for everyones time and help.

  • Move audio to new computer

I want to copy my audio from my iPod to a new computer.  I have read the Apple support topic regarding this, and it only talks about syncing to my computer.  I am afraid if I sync my iPod to my new computer (with now iTunes audio), may loose all my audio?  How do I copu my music from my iPod touch to my new computer?

Unfortunately iTunes dont allow you to transfer songs to PC unless you haver purchased it. I would prefer you use any third-party applications like SynciOS to transfer songs to PC. Then you can put those songs to iTunes.
Sources : I had this same fu*king problem. This solved it. I am sure this will help you. SynciOS is a free software. There are also other softwares.

  • Video/Audio from new macbook to HD TV?

So, I'm wondering how i can connect the new MacBook to my HD TV which supports HDMI. Can i connect a mini DisplayPort/HDMI adapter and get both video and audio into my TV?
I haven't seen any adapters of that kind in Apple Store.
Is there perhaps another way to archive this?

Barring some other adapter being released, either by Apple or a third party, you'd get the Mini Display Port to DVI adapter and then use a DVI to HDMI adapter/cable. You'll also need to connect the audio to the TV separately, so check to make sure your TV will allow audio from a different input when using the HDMI input for video; not all do.

  • Cant upload new songs in iTunes from new computer onto iPhone 3gs

How do I upload new songs in my new iTunes from my mac to my iphone 3gs WITHOUT deleting or replacing all the old songs? My old computer crashed and I have no way of accessing those old songs but I dont want to loose all 509 songs. some were burnt from CDs i no longer have some were purchased through iTunes etc...help please! i really like my old music and just want to update it.

By 'rebooted' do you mean that you only rebooted it, or that you reinstalled its software ?
If rebooted then aare the songs still on your computer, just not in iTunes - by default your iTunes library is stored under :
    Mac OS X: /Users/username/Music
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\
    Windows Vista: \Users\username\Music\iTunes
    Windows 7 and Windows 8: \Users\username\My Music\iTunes
If it's there then File > Add To Library in iTunes should let you add it back.
If not then you should be able to copy iTunes purchases (including apps, films etc) back from your phone via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases.
For non-iTunes purchases (and for purchases if need be) there are some programs listed half-way down this page which can copy them back : Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device
Then add them to iTunes via File > Add To Library

  • Sync photos from new computer to iPhone 4

I have a new laptop that I will use to sync my iPhone 4. I have installed iTunes but it will not let me sync all my "photo" folders since my iPhone is already syncing with my old computer's iTunes.  I can not get the old computer iTunes to unsync with my iPhone.  The iTune's Photo tab on the new computer only allows to sync one folder at a time and then overwrites any previous folders I have on the iPhone 4.  Any way I can get my iPhone 4 to not tie in with the iTunes on my old computer so I can sync selected photo folders from my new computer?

You can only sync with one computer. You need to backup the contents from the old computer to a hard drive and transfer.
Otherwise, you can use 3rd party software, but the photos are optimizd for the device and will be lower resolution than the originals.

  • Unaable to access my library from new computer

I just purchased a new computer and logged onto ITunes, after downloading program. I had been using my IPod on my old computer. When I connected my IPod on the new computer, I was shown a library that was not mine. Then a message came up saying that I could not log onto two libraries at the same time! I was offered the option of erasing the library in my IPod and and using the library that was not mine and currently on the screen, which I obviously don't want to do. Also, after clicking on Tonys Ipod icon, I did see my library, but it is grayed out and cannot be accessed. How can I access that library and get out of the wrong library?

If you want to use the iPod on multiple computers or if the contents of iTunes on the one computer you are using is different to what you have on your iPod you'll have to keep the iPod in manual mode. Have you still got your old computer so you can transfer the library from one to the other?
If not, there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    Comparison of iPod managers
TuneJack Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    SharePod Windows Only
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    Floola Mac & Windows
iGadget Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible - Windows version only)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.

  • Songs won't load into ipod nano from new computer.

Load itunes library from old computer.  Installed iTunes& authorized new computer.  iTunes recognizes my iPod nano (4th generation), but won't load songs when synchronizing.
Any suggestions on how to fix?

I am having a similar problem. I recent reset my iPod as some songs were just skipping during play (they showed on the screen but after a second would just skip to next song), and have been trying to re-sync with no success. I have over 8,000 songs and when I attempt to update songs iTunes puts about 100 or so songs on then stops and states all songs have been updated. When I select update again it adds another 100 or so. Counting to 8,000 is going to take a while!! Don't know what to do...iTunes 5.0.1.4 9/23/2005 firmware. HELP!

  • ITunes won't download to iPod from new computer

I installed my iPod and iTunes software on my laptop pending the arrival of my new computer. I had no problem downloading music from the laptop and still don't. But after installing the software on my new Dell XPS400 and downloading music to iTunes, iTunes won't hotsync to my iPod. I can't get any of the music off my new computer except by copying it to disc and moving it to my laptop. This is not very efficient. Please help, someone.

  • Can't delete music off iPhone from new computer - help.

I bought a new computer a while ago. Im trying to update my music through my iTunes on my computer - but it won't let me delete anything thats on my iPhone already. I can delete it straight off my phone - but when I plug it in everything syncs back up :s The computer is authorized already with my iTunes account.

I feel really silly but I just figured it out - for anyone possibly having this problem - in the new iTunes you have to go into your device - music and if you scroll allllllll the way to the bottom it says "Manually added songs" and you can delete from there. I kind of miss when you could just right click on them in your Music file and delete it that way. It seems much simpler.

Is it at all possible to transfer songs from old LT, through external drive, on to new LT, then load on to shuffle. Have I lost all of my $$$?

  • Opening Lightroom for first time from new computer where library is on external hard drive

There has to be an easy way to open my lightroom library from my new computer where the library is already on an external hard drive because that's where I was told to put it to make this whole process easy. Well, I can't find any information on how to do this and I'd rather not mess up my photos!

Could you be specific about the problem you are having? What happens when you try?
Also please be sure to state your operating system and what version of Lightroom.
