NO AUDIO - HP w1707 LDC 17" Monitor... Help please?

I recently bought a HP w1707 LCD 17" monitor second hand. Didn't realize until I got home that it had speakers installed in it. I unplugged my desktop speakers and plugged in the sound wire to the green jack in the rear of my tower. No sound. Plugged it into the front jack. No sound. Went in and adjusted the settings from desktop speakers to monitor speakers. No sound. I swapped out the sound wires (black wire with green plug/jacks on ens). No Sound. Checked the sound settings on the monitor, my computer, and even went to trouble shooting. I did what the trouble shooting said, and I also wound up downloading three things from the HP website to use my monitor. Still no sound. My other speakers work fine. My mic and headphones jack work fine. Desktop speakers work fine whether they're plugged into the rear jack or the front jack. This leads me to conclude that there's something wrong with my monitor.
Can someone tell me what is wrong or what i didn't do? I don't mind using my desktop speakers, but all and all I would like to know at least what's wrong with my monitor.

Hmmmm, if you connected the a cable that had a (green) mini-stereo connector on both ends - one into the PC audio out (green) and one in the monitor's audio-in, then it should work.
Other things to look at would be to make sure "Speakers" is set as the default audio output device in Windows Sound Properties (from Control Panel).
Also... make sure the volume is up from the monitor OSD menu (I know you said you were in there, but just making sure you actually see the volume bar go from left to right) .

Should be able to go into your sound preferences and choose your output device, you can also try downloading Airfoil and try that, it's a pretty cool app.

SB X-fi Xtreme Audio PCI-E Not working correctly help please

Hi i have a SB X-fi Xtreme Audio PCI-E card on my pc , i have currently installed windows 7 and for months now i am trying to make the card work .. I have a poor sound especially when there is bass, the card is not detected by windows 7, its detected as a high definition audio device , when i plug my mic is not found..and i cant use the creative applications because is says its not supported or i have no creative poroducts on my pc ... I have tried all the latest drivers and stil have the same problem.. HELP PLEASE !!

First, uninstall all creative drivers, console, from add/remove. Restart computer install: . X-Fi Xtreme Audio Series Driver .04.0000 from creative website. 2.X-Fi Xtreme Audio Pack .03.0002 from creative website. 3. install Creative Console from here: http://forums.creative.com/t5/Sound-Blaster/PAX-Console-Launcher-V-0/td-p/549970 * PAX Console, Modded Original Console, but newer then Creative) or this creative console: CSL_PCAPP_LB_2_6_09.exe ( it creative original console) With this console you will have bass, treble, etc, BUT you need to open ConsoLCu.exe from Program Files/Creative/Console Launcher. ConsoLCu.exe have all the options you need. Creative forget about thier sound board, thier drivers, bass, treble, etc, about customers. If you install thier drivers from their website you will not have BASS, and also an crappy sound. You need to install Creative Console from google, or from http://forums.creative.com/t5/Sound-Blaster/PAX-Console-Launcher-V-0/td-p/549970 to have bass, crystalizer, etc. I also have Creative Audio PCI-e board..... crappy chipset, just like Sb Li've 24 biti PCI.

Hardware and Monitor help please

I'm new to setting up equipment and all that kind of stuff!!!
I just purchased a JVC monitor and was going to use composite video wires through my camera to hook it up but now that it has arrived at my house, I see it only has composite BNC connectors and not RCA connectors.
Are there any cable options so I can still using my camera as a deck? The camera has one A/V jack and the Monitor has the BNC composite and S-Video, plus composite RCA for audio.
Or I'm guessing I may need to buy a converter and I've heard good things about the Canopus ADVC-110.
My questions if I need to buy the Canopus:
Do I need to use the optional power supply or will the firewire be enough.
How do I get the audio to the monitor? Can run two different wires out of the Canopus, the s-video for video and composite RCA for the audio?

Audio Going out of sync problem, Help Please

Hey all.
So I have just filmed about 3 hours worth of gaming videos using XSplit recorder,
in a mp4 format, and when I played it back using VLC it all seemed fine.
However I went to import it into premiere to start editing it I noticed the sound was completly out.
I have recorded some audio and video times listed below to show the sync times and how they are out.
Video Audio
00:41:24 - 00:44:09
47:46:25 - 50:11:12
As you can see it gets worse over time.
I could manualy do a time shift on the audio to align it but thats a lot of work as I have multiple clips to edit and would like a proper fix for it
I did some quick research and found one fix was to make the sequence settings the same as the video file, but that didnt work for me.
also trying to conform the video file also didnt help me out.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Premiere Pro CC audio pops then cuts out. HELP PLEASE.

Driving me nuts...
Read all the forums. Tried reinstalling, deleting .cfs files, changing audio inputs, everything.
What is happening is that when I play back, the audio will "pop" (like feedback, loud, distorted, sounds like its hurting my speakers) then just not play anything. Levels monitor will be firing away, waveforms are there. Matching back to source monitor does nothing. Totally silent.
When I quit I hear another pop as the program exits.
The rest of the computer has sound functions (iTunes, internet, everything)
Anyone?

PS - just noticed a little warning triangle at the bottom right of the program that says "Audio Dropout Detected at 1:11.442 in Adobe Player" - no idea what the hell that means.
PSS - I have a feeling its because of the video. I'm editing RED (4k) - when the video is just on one track its no problem, but as soon as I put it above another clip, then it pops and cuts out.

I dropped 8K on a new mac pro, thinking, foolishly, to just throw some computing power at it...
My friends, Adobe just hates macs.
Both my D700 GPUs are kinda useless to Premiere. nVidia won and I guess Adobe could give two sh*ts about anyone on a new mac. I was hoping to go to premiere after Apple decided to drop FCP. What's amazing, as a commercial editor in NYC, EVERYONE was either on FCP or Avid (much more FCP) so there was lots of business to pick up... but the more I talk to people, and stories like this get shared, the more people are moving over to Avid, even FCPX if you can stomach it. Such a shame because AE, PS and the rest should work so nicely together... they just couldn't make it easy for non nVidia people or mac people.
I've tried contacting them (I'm even on their customer review panel) but no one seems to be able to patch this up. I've done 2 clean installs on my new mac, because I've gotten to the point that every premiere freezes, its a restart. Unreal. Been editing for 10 years and never had problems like this... even when we started putting Avid on a mac.
Failed and quite pissed. Not for nothing Adobe, if you're listening, I've got a real mind to use every piece of my social media platform to bring this to your attention - this program has wasted so much of my time (and money, jeebus) that it's almost immoral what's been going on.

Audio driver issue??? Help please

I've been experiencing this problem eversince I got this laptop last august.. its a satellite m305d-s4830 4g ram 250g hd amd turion ultra x2 zm-80 2.0ghz proc. My audio playback seem to stutter a lot playing in media player. even videos keep on stuttering from time to time. I have downloaded all the drivers from this page even bios update even the southbridge driver from ati including the latest support for an integrated amd 3100 motherboard. without luck it didn't changed anything so i ignored it.. i used different players for both videos and audio. and they were fine until recently my laptop is experiencing real slow downs so i used the resotre cd.. so its freshly installed like out-of-the-box. its sad because now when i'm multi-tasking while using winamp for music it keeps on stuttering. i've exhausted everything and i'm not successful in figuring out what's wrong help me please... by the way i have vista home premium 64bit for os. thnx

thnx for the reply and im considering of the possibility of the device heating up but im sure its not because of the temp of the proc. however i think i might know the culprit for this.. the issue only happens when i'm using the laptops speakers and if the volume is maxed now if i would plug in a headphones or external speakers perhaps the issue wouldn't happen at all.. what could i possibly do about this one? i know i could get along by plugging in an extra device but i'm still bothered by the issue and hoping to solve it soon.. thnx

Having trouble with the audio on my iMac. AppleCare is not an option. This system made a few stops between a non-tech literate PO and myself so I have no history for before the symptoms presented.
Problem Summary:
No sound from internal speakers at any time.
No standard audio from external speakers.
Constant high frequency popping sound from external speakers when hooked up.
External speakers known and tested good on another system.
Details:
Popping sound starts immediatly after startup.
No startup sound with either internal or external speakers.
Tried iTunes and YouTube video played on Safari without success.
In OS onscreen volume control looks and responds normally to volume adjust action.
Popping sound on external speakers volume does not change with in OS volume adjustment.
'Internal Speakers' NOT listed in SYS PREF> SOUND> Output Tab   ( 'Headphones' is listed ).
SLEEP MODE stops popping sound, popping sound restarts with computer but at slower frequency for a few seconds.
Actions tried:
Checked and cycled mute options in APPS> SYS PREF> SOUND & APPS> UTILITIES> AUDIO MIDI SETUP.
Quit process 'coreaudiod' in APPS> ACTIVITY MONITOR. * see note below
Checked that no light visible inside external audio jack.

Multi monitor help please

I retired years ago and just moved AE 6.0 (yes, that old) to a new computer running Windows 7. While I had no problems with XT Pro I now seemed to be locked into using only one screen, the one AE starts on. I can't drag the timeline to its own monitor ... any suggestions?

Audio in iMovie- mono to stereo help please

I have an entire 20 minute project in imovie that was recorded with a at835 mono shotgun mic. The audio sounds fine on my computer but poor and faint on other dvd players with their speakers. I was told that my audio files are in mono and need to be in stereo. How can i do this? and is there an easier way for my future use?

Connecting Playstation 3 to LCD Monitor HELP!!

hey guys im new at this and i need some help please
i have a ASUS 23inch Widescreen LCS monitor and supports HDMI and HDCP.
i have done some research on how to set this up. people told me i jus need a HDMI cable in which i already purchased. is there anything else i do?
for sound i would like to connect a speaker system in which im still researching for a decent one. any suggestions? anything under 100 dollars is at best for me
also what cables or adapters would i need to have in order to connect the speaker system?

Why wouldn't it?
PC monitors and LCD HDTVs are nearly indistinguishable from each other now, at least when connecting via HDMI.
It should simply be a case of:
HDMI from PS3 to PC monitor
Audio output (depends on your audio system) from PS3 to audio system. (Actually, this is one of the few differences between PC monitors and TVs with HDMI connectivity - most PC monitors don't have speakers, TVs do and support HDMI audio.)

The figures you mention only make sense on your intranet. Are you still using the same wireless router. The verizon one is somewhat limited as far as max wireless-n performace. For one thing it only has a 2.4 radio. I like many people who wanted wireless-n performance before they even added a wireless-n gigabit router, have my own handling my wireless-n network.

G3 Monitor saying "out of range" after itunes upgrade - HELP PLEASE

I'm running a G3 with 512RAM. It has been running Panther totally reliably for a year. I upgraded to 10.3.9 and the G3 ran no problem. I upgraded to the latest Itunes, restarted the G3 and now after the tones the monitor turns black with the message "out of range" refering to the frequency setting. I can hear to G3 drive running but I cant progress beyond this message on the monitor. Please help...have I lost my G3 for ever? is there a safe mode I can start the G3 in? I have the Panther discs but I don't seem able to do anything to start this G3 now. Please help..I love this Mac, I dont want to loose it, don't mind loosing the data, but not the mac..any ideas..please

Restart whilst holding Command/option/p/r keys and release after second tones. Suggest changing internal battery also.

I moived files either to trash if not needed, and others to other external drives. I went into disk utility and did a repair disk permission and verify disk. Clean out junk files. Now my hdtv/monitor does not give me any sound, nor does my mac mini. Can someone please tell me what to do?
