No audio in export ONLY during after effects clip

Hi,
I threw together a premiere project and sent a couple of the clips to after effects to add some animations.
Upon re-inserting the clips into premiere pro and exporting them, I have no sound... but ONLY on the portions of the video that have data from after effects.
Any ideas?

Premiere Pro CS6,
My footage is AVCHD 1080p MTS files taken from a Sony FS100.
I am attempting to export via media encoder using the 1080p 29.97 FPS YouTube Setting.
There is audio in the timeline, there is no audio in the export.

  • Is there an replacement to exporting .swf in After Effects CC?

Is there an replacement to exporting .swf in After Effects CC? I created an animation I am using for a app prototype in InDesign. It worked great last year, on another project, but now all I see are Quicktime and other video formats which isn't really the same thing. I need a file that will work with InDesign that can export into HTML. I could make an interactive PDF which will play quicktime but thats not as cool. Any alternatives? Anyway to get After Effects into HTML, short of using Edge instead?

I think I answered my own question. H.264 Video via Media Encoder. Any other comments on best practices welcome.

  • What are the best setting to export video from after effects to get the best video quality ?

    Hi
I am editing a raw time lapse in after effects and also some short video clips I would like to export them from after effects and upload them online afterwards but i get a bit lost in exporting settings and formats and mbps..
What are the best settings to export a video and get best quality(high) in full hd 1080 ? in 4k ? and what would be the best setting to export animations/logo/intro and get best quality ?
    Thank you very much.

    Thanks for reply !
I used until now quicktime in H264 codec was that OK ?
    two more questions :
what are the export settings for 4k files for web/you tube ?
to play on my PC using  windows media player or Quicktime player and getting the best quality ?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Audio is running fast in after effects

Don't know why...help  please...why is my audio running double time in After Effects CC?

It's not a very good idea to use MP3 files in production. Their way compressed, horrible to edit or modify, and can cause all kinds of problems when you render. AE handles them much better than it used to, but I would still never use them intentionally in a production.
Also, what do you mean by the preview button? The one in the preview panel the sets of the rent review?

  • Premiere Bad Export vs. After Effects Clean Export

I encountered this problem many years ago, but since it accours in every version of Premire Pro it's time to find a solution.
Mainly what bothers me is that every video I export out of Premire CS4 isn't as clean as if I would export it out of After Effects.
    I had two situations:
    1. I made one animation in After Effects, exported the video in the loosles format to see how it looks and the video looked great and very clean.
Than I imported the after effects composition via dynamic link into Premiere CS4 and put some music underneath. Than I exported the video out of Premiere CS4 with the Media Encoder into some HQ versions like Pal DV, .mov, .h264, Targa sequences...and the video just wasn't as clean as the one exported directly from After Effects.
What is wrong? Is there a Premire encoder bug? I had this problem also with earlier version of Premiere.
    2. I shot a film in HDV for a company. I edited the material in Premiere CS4 and since I exported it for 4:3 I scaled the video down. So there were more than enought pixels to make the image clean. But after exporting it out of Premiere CS4 the PAL DV image quality just wasn't clean.
I imported than the entire Premiere sequence into After Effects and exported the video from there and I got a great and clean looking PAL DV video.
Again. Is there a bug in Premiere encoder?
I like Premiere but since I can not get a nice image quality out of it I'm planing to go over to FinalCut Pro.
Does any one have a solution for that problem?
    Thank you very much

    Thanks Jim and Harm!
Jim, I exported the animation in the 1. scenario as a progressive video. There was no interlacing and I still got bad results with Premiere.
Harm, I gathered for you fresh uncompressed image exports from Premiere and After Effects.
Sample 1 - Uncompressed Tiff from Premiere CS4
Sample 2 - Uncompressed Tiff from After Effects CS4
I don't think Encore has anything to do with this problem. Because the DVD (.m2v files) wasn't transcoded with Encore but with Premire and AE.
Anyway here are the DVD settings:
    1. Premiere settings for the DVD:
    MPEG2-DVD
    PAL High Quality
    Video Settings:
    Quality: 5
    Tv Standard: PAL
    Frame W: 720
    Frame H: 576
    FPS: 25
    Fields: Lower
    Pixel: 4:3 (1.09)
    CBR: 8 MB
    2. After Effects settings for the DVD:
Are exactly the same as Premieres. Fields are also Lower.
The video in AE was exported via Render Queue.
I still don't think that this is a issue of codecs. From my point of view it's still more likely that Premiere has an export bug.
Please try it out and let me know.
    Thanks

  • After effects clip doesn't appear in finished film

I have produced a short film in premiere pro with a 6 second after effects clip at the end.  When I export it to encoder to produce a FLV/F4V film for youtube, the after effects clip does not appear even tho I can see it encoding and there is a 6 second blank film at the end.  I don't understand this as I have done this a few months previously on another premierepro film and could see the after effects clip.  I have repeated the encoding on the earlier film and now cannot see the AE clip.  I have slightly changed the AE clip - only changing the font colour so nothing major.  I am working with CS4
Any ideas as to whatis happening?
    PhoebeSparke

    Hi Mark
It was a stupid mistake on my part - the AE project was set at 24fpm whereas the Premiere Pro project was set at 25fpm so I guess they were contradicting each other.  I'm still not sure how this could have happened but I am glad I have sorted it.  Thanks very much for your interest

It wouldn't hurt to update AE either. The latest version is 11.0.4 (well, the latest version is 12.2.1, but you know what I mean).

  • Exporting comp from After Effects CC to Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) gives error message: "AE can not connect to dynamic link"

I am trying to export an AE CC comp into a Adobe Premiere Pro CC (2014) video project. I can not drage it from AE to Premier Pro.  Is there a problem with the dynamic link between these two applications?

Dynamic Link only works between After Effects and Premiere Pro if the applications are of the same version---i.e., both CC 2014 versions.

  • Exporting titles from after effects to premiere

Hello. I am a relatively inexperienced user with the creative suite 5.5 programs. (I am working on a Windows 7 machine.) I created a title in After Effects that was just text with a transparent background. However, when I exported it as a movie (AVI) and imported it into Premiere, the text is now on an opaque black background. This surprised me because I have the checkerboard transparency view in After Effects, and all I have there is the text. How can I create text only on an otherwise transparent layer to bring into Premiere? Is there a preferred export setting for this? The posted info says I cannot just copy and paste text layers from one program to the other. (I know how to use the titler in Premiere - this would be for instances where I am doing more complicated text animations that rely on After Effects.)  Thank you in advance for your help. I know this is basic, but I cannot find anything that addresses this specifically.
    Steve Forrest

    Todd -
The link helped me conceptualize alpha channel and transparency (which I have struggled with in the past). However, ultimately I needed to know what setting to adjust, what button to click, which can be hard when you have to wade through all the various support materials. I am teaching (if you can believe it) video and film classes at a local high school. We had been using CS 3 the last couple of years, and I was just starting to get the hang of those, when we moved to CS5, so I am still somewhat disoriented and have taken a step backwards. Much of it is the same, but it can still be pretty daunting when even something as basic as this takes this much research, community help, etc.  (The move back to Audition from Soundbooth is especially confounding, because we were operating more on the amateur than the high pro level.)  Anyway, between classroom in a book, adobe tv, creative cow, lynda.com, and the manual, I can usually figure my fairly basic problems out, but this was really frustrating, in part because it just seemed to basic. So again, thanks so much for you time and helping me get going again.
    Sincerely,
    Steve

  • Having trouble exporting file from After Effects CS5.5

I am trying to add some titles to a Multi Camera mix I have finished. I have exported my multi cam that I created in Premiere Pro as an MPEG.
So hears what I have done:
    - open After effects
    - create new composition (HD 1080x1440- length 2:16 (so clip fits)
    - I place my clip in the time line the type some text.
    - in the effects bar I click the roll up and select "Browse Presets" which opens adobe bridge
    - I apply my effects and they play back in elements fine...
When I try to export my clip as a Premiere Pro Project it doesnt keep my animated txt when I open it. Says it does not support the presets. his
Con someone please help me export this project? Getting very frustrating. I need it as a High Res HD file

Create the titles in After Effects without the MPEG.  (Or if you must use it as a reference, go ahead and do so, and then when you're done creating the title, delete the MPEG.)
Then go back to PP and select File>Dynamic Link>Import After Effects Composition...  Navigate to the AE project that has the title, and bring in that composition.  It will appear in your bin as a clip.  Then you add it to the sequence and export the completed video with titles.

  • Export sequence to after effects

I'm editing a feature film at this moment, the problem is I have finished all cutting and trimming in to a sequence, then I would like to do color correction with after effects.
Is there anyway I can import all clips in the sequence into after effects ( even though I have to do clip by clip)?..
So far I just see that after effects can only import the original captured clip (from hard disk) not the one from sequence (the one has been marked and trimmed).
    Please help, thank you

Not with FCE. You need Final Cut Pro and Automatic Duck.

  • Export quality in After Effects

I'm using After Effects CS4 and have exported as an MPEG-4.  The quality of the final movie is very poor.  It looks like a low quality JPEG.  In After Effects preview, it looks fine.
I'm familiar with exporting quality videos out of Premiere.  Is the usual workflow to open AE projects in Premiere and use the options there to export?  Or am I missing something in AE?

That may be, but I'm just not a fan.  I did some tests a few years ago and decided that Animation
wasn't worth it and that it was in fact creating artifacts in my renders.
Just to show my work, I am pulling some info from wikipedia as a reference:
"For complex 3D rendered scenes or digitized film of real-world footage, it barely compresses at all and also can add visible noise."
Now I know, wikipedia isn't highly reliable, anyone can edit it, blah blah blah, but this statement runs congruent to my own findings.  Add to that the weighty file size, and then the fact that this codec is officially my ENEMY because my students, who are instructed to use Sorenson 3, often forget to change the codec for their .mov renders, and so sometimes I get these bloated files that I have to trash and they have to re-render, and I just don't really care for this codec at all.
I just don't render video any more.  Haven't for a long time now.  So many advantages to using img sequences, I haven't looked back to big bloated video files.

  • AAF EXPORT OPTION FOR AFTER EFFECTS CC

Hi My name is Marcellus. I use After effects for vex when I import my avid sequence AAF from Media Composer to After effects. Thing is I don't use premiere Pro or Premiere CC. I think that if I have to dynamic link my after effect composition over to premiere creating a new premiere project then exporting my sequence AAF from premiere back to avid it's too much file base creation. May after Effects CC add an AAF export option where it renders the effects in the composition, I can export that workflow as an AAF with effects rendered and  import that AAF back into Avid Media composer and link to the timeline like a feature with Davinci resolve?

You're correct. See the Avid to After Effects workflow article. That method is possible but not recommended.

  • Premiere Degrading Quality (after rendering) of Animation Codec mov's and 4444 Codec mov's, which were made from SWF files, originally exported out of After Effects

I am making a cartoon, which was created in FLASH,
Then the SWF's were put into After Effects and exported out as MOV's. (I've tried both AppleProRes4444 and Animation codecs).
Then I put those Mov's into Premiere. Everything looks crisp until I render. Once rendering is done, the video quality degrades. Here's a screen shot of Premiere:

If I use MP4 versions, exported out of Flash, through Media encoder, quality is not degraded.

It was easy and quick to create my MOV's out of AE, which is why I did it this way. I'm exporting to MOV's so I can edit quicker in Premiere. I find editing to sound in AE really difficult, and I don't edit in Flash (employees provide SWF files to me).
Here is sequence settings in Premiere (these setting were created by dragging an MOV into the sequence and choosing "change settings" to match clip settings.
