No Audio in TV Show

In one of the TV shows I just downloaded the audio wont play, the video continues to play just fine though. I downloaded 2 other shows at the same time and both of them work fine. The only information i can find is for windows

I'm a Mac person. That's the first thing I tried. There is no setting other than internal speaker or Airplay via my netwrok. It appears that this cannot be done and my Air is new this past summer. Would have thought this would have been adressed.

Airplay Audio for TV Shows and Movies

I just purchased Airport Express for Airplay using my MacBook Pro, iTunes and iHome speakers. My music and radio stations on iTunes stream to the speakers with no problems. The audio for TV shows and movies on iTunes will not stream. Airplay is set for my iHome speakers and the audio only comes through on my computer speakers. I'm watching the movies/tv shows on my computer, not streaming to a TV. Any suggestions?

Audio is not showing up in the browser nor the timeline???

i have a question. i recorded a video and viewed it and the video and audio is working. when i imported it and it showed up on the browser the audio outputs were not showing up. also when i tried to dragged it to the timeline the audio tracks didnt show up either. what could this be?? i have a sony dvcam hdv deck in which someone used it and im thinking maybe they changed some settings on the deck?? help please!!??

The VU meter is the audio meter (see FCE 4 user manual from page 56). If a clip include any audio, this meter should move when clip is played from browser to viewer.
The camera audio should be 16 bit 48 kHz. You can use 32 kHz if you select the correct preset in Easy setup dialog box.
Did you see the link provided earlier for patch panel bay use?
The patch panel switch is the way to tell to FCE where (understand on exact layer) adding video and audio in timeline. If the audio switches are disconnected, the edit will insert only video. There is a contextual menu to reset the patch panel switch.

IPhone 4 audio books only showing 3 minutes and then skipping if I fast forward

I have a number of older audio books and audio files that I have recorded myself using a dictaphone and added to the iTunes library and then set the info for them to be "audio book".
Since the latest software update, my iPhone 4 (and no it's not jail broken) has a) not updated the iPhone library to include or exclude audio books I add or remove from it via sync (using either playlists or the book option where you can tick the books to sync). Instead I have to search on the phone for them and then I have a number of problems with the actual playback:
1) some of the audio books only show a track length of 3 mins even though on the computer they show as their true length (over an hour).
2) on the above audio books and even on the ones that do show the right length, the second I try and fast forward, use the scrubbing bar or rewind them, it skips to the next track!
This is highly frustrating and I can't find a similar problem on support when searching.
Any suggestions/ideas much appreciated.

Capture Audio and Slide show with JMF?

Hello All;
Can anyone guide me to start on how to stream or capture both Audio from the Mic and Slide show from Power point and generate a AVI file.
ie., User starts presenting a Conference with Audio and Slide show, I want to implement an Application that runs in the background and Merges Audio and Slides to a AVI or MOV file.
Please help...

Audio for TV shows via FR/Airport Express

I'm sure this is a silly question with an easy answer but ...
I am playing TV shows through FR just fine via a mini-dvi to S-video cable hooked to my TV.
But the sound for said videos are only playing through my laptop, and not the speakers through Airport Express.
I would like to watch the show and hear the sound on my speakers. I have set Itunes to use the airport express but nothing. Music works just fine.
Shouldnt I be able to watch the show through this cable, and listen wirelessly? Or am I dreaming?
Any help?

The AirPort Express only streams music from iTunes.
You can try a third party utility like to play other kinds of audio through an AirPort Express, but they don't recommend it for video because of the latency involved with encoding the audio to stream and then broadcasting it.
The video adapter you're using is video only, no audio. Your best bet would be an audio "Y" adapter cable to go from your headphone port to the RCA audio inputs on your TV or stereo.

Audio book not showing on ipad

I can not see my audio books on my ipad without searching for them from search ipad. I have synced the ipad with my computer using wireless and cable but nothing shows up in music > more for audio books. I am using the updated 7.0.3. I synced my iphone and they show up. I origanally downloaded the books on my ipad, but I have synced with my computers itune a few times. Any help would be appreciated.

When you use the search box are you able to then select the audiobooks and play them, and do they show in Settings > General > Usage > Music ?
Have you tried closing the Music app via the iPad's multitasking bar and seeing if you get the Audiobooks tab at the bottom of the Music app when you re-open the app ? Double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag the Music app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.

Beats audio no longer shows a display when i turn volume up and down pavilion dv7 win7

Try using Recovery Manager to reinstall HP Quick Launch Buttons - the procedure for using recovery manager to reinstall Software and Drivers is detailed in the relevant document on the link below.

Audio Tracks not showing in itunes.

Dear All
After transferring audio tracks to itunes library I am manually dragging them to my ipod shuffle and the songs are shown in the shuffle but when I am deleting the tracks from the itunes library then nothing is shown in the ipod shuffle folder of itunes but the settings tab shows the amount of space used and the songs are present in the ipod as I can play them. I am not able to manage or change the sequence of song in shuffle since it is not shown in the device folder of itunes.How will I be able to see the list of songs presently transferred in my ipod shuffle if I delete them from the itunes library ?

Shuffle works differently from the "Ipod classic 160GB". There is NO additional help for this issue.

Keynote to iDVD: loss of audio in slide show

I have made a slide show on Keynote with music from iTunes. I export it to iDVD and it works fine from the computer while in iDVD. When I burn the disc, the music from the Keynote slideshow is missing although musc that I have added to menus does play. I want to use the Keynote slideshow and not transfer it to iMovie then iDVD because of loss of quality. I do not want to use the slideshow from iDVD because Keynote provides more opprtunities for effects in the slide show as well as clearer text. I think the problem has something to do with the fact that when I export, on my desktop is a copy of the slideshow AND a copy of the soundtrack.mov. How can I get them together? THANKS!!!

Thanks for the help but I faced the same problem as others with iMovie. Also I am trying to avoid the use of iMovie because the final product, a QT from iMovie, is not as clear visually as an import from Keynote - graphics are a lot muddier. I would have to agree that, as much as I LOVE Keynote, the inability to simply export a slide show with audio intact certainly is a problem with Keynote.

Newbe requests help with audio for slide-show on Premiere Elements 4.

I recently wrote you regarding a problem I was having with a slide show I was making on Premiere Elements 4 importing photo clips and music from PhotoShop Elements 9. Thank you for your help.
This very large slide show, some 200 clips that I have not resized is completed. I am now having many problems with the music audio I am adding to various sequences of the slide show. Specifically:the audio will not stay fixed on the places where I put it and end it. Working on the Timeline Usually the length of the audio is shorter than the ending of the photo clips where it must go. I click on the audio and stretch it and end it at the place I designate. However, the other end has moved also so now I am left with a gap where there is no audio at the beginning of the segment. Now in addition, the "Delete and Close Gap" does not work most of the time causing me to manually move the photo tiles which sometimes move when this happens. I have to move each one or two individually to the left to close the gap and many times this causes loss of one or two photo tiles or they are out of order or have increase in number (of the one I am moving).
The program has also shut down for the past 10 days causing me to lose a good deal of work and sometimes photo clips and sometimes I get many duplicates of the photo clips. All I do is edit mostly the same two segments doing this over and over because I can't proceed to importing any more music because I can't get the first segments correct. I have chatted with you people, Sony techs, Microsoft Techs and Canon Techs. The Sony techs suggested the program was at fault and I used the original installation disk and repaired the program. It has still shut down on me but not as much.
I got error messages on the photo-cap instructions page you suggessted otherwise I would show pictures of the above problems.
I tried to copy and/or cut and paste from the Timeline thinking I would start a new slide show in PhotoShop Elements 9 using the same photos in reverse. The program would not let me copy or paste. There is great difficulty in highlighting the photo tiles in Timeline because I have to shift click on each individual tile and there are too many tiles and it would take too long to get a whole segment copied. Maybe you know another way to do this?
I am at a stand-still now and I am quite despondent because I have been working on this slide-show for 3 months and it was a surprise for my daughter's 25th anniversary that was last Tuesday.
I do hope you have some good suggestions that will lelt me complete this Project and get it on a disk. I am not that technical so please be specific.

Here's the basic advice I'd give, based on my experience. Much depends, though, on your goals and the specifics of your computer system:
1) Resize all of your photos to no larger than 1000x750 pixels in size. This is VITAL if you want the program to maintain stability as you work. Also render often (by pressing the Enter key). When the render, the red lines above the clips on your timeline will turn green and the program will run much more efficiently.
2) Work on your large slideshow project in shorter segments. You've got over 15 minutes worth of slides. Try working on this slideshow in 5 minute segments, output each segment and then combined the finished videos.
3) Use only WAV audio as your music and audio for your slideshow.
4) When you add video, audio or stills to a parallel track on your timeline, hold down the Ctrl key to override the ripple function and your current clips will remain in place.
5) Maintain your computer by using a tool like the excellent, free, one-click Advanced System Care available at http://www.iobit.com/advancedsystemcareper.html
As for Delete and Close Gap, how it performs depends on whether you've selected Clear or Delete, whether you've pressed the Backspace key or the Delete key and if there is video or audio on a parallel track. (This is all covered in my books, by the way, if you're interested.)
Without knowing the specifics of your project and your situation, it's hard to give out more specific information -- but this advice should get you a long way toward completing your project!

Video / Audio Filters not showing up in "Viewer" tab?

Hi, I recently re-installed Final Cut Express v4.0.1 after a hard drive crash. Now the video and audio filters do not show up on the Viewer Screen. They show up on the "Effects" menu tab (though video transitions do not). I've attempted uninstall / reinstall and deleting preferences but still no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You may not have deleted the dodgy app fully as there are numerous hidden folders.

Audio CD not showing up in iTunes. Why?

When I insert an audio CD in to my MacBook, the CD mounts on the desktop but doesn't appear in iTunes.
It seems that iTunes knows the disc is there, as I get the pop up box that says "accessing gracenote". But the CD just doesn't appear in the left hand pane.
I'm a fairly experienced mac user, & I've not experienced this on any of my previous machines (iBook / MacMini / Powerbook).
...any ideas?

When you click the cd icon on the desktop, what kind of file it shows on the finder windows?
Is it like musical note icon with file name track 1 , track 2, etc?
Try to click one of them and see if it will play automatically on iTunes.
Does it happen only for specific cd or all of your cd.
On iTunes preference > Advanced > Importing > choose "show CD" on CD Insert section.
On system preference CDs & DVDs > when you insert a music cd > Open iTunes.
Repair permission might help your problem too.
