No audio Mac Pro after installing OS 10.7.5 Update 1163

No audio on Mac Pro after installing OS 10.7.5 Update 11G63. Tried uninstalling iTunes Dock Notifications but it wasn't installed in the first place. No Audio on iTunes, youTube, Chrome, etc.

Mac Frezzes after installing he 10.4.11 update

After I install the update 10.4.11 my computer boots on but when is trying to run the finder and the screen turns to an overlay of Black and the Japanise letters appear, when i can finaly log in I try to run the disk utility from the CD but it gives me the following message.

(It should be 0 instead of 60928)

I have done the following, Boot from the Installation DVD try to run disk repair but it keep telling me that it could not repair the diskbecause of the following error:

Then i try to reinstall the system so i try to do a save and install option and start the instalation but when it was coping th(esencial system files it just reach to 20 % and give me a an instalation error asking me to reboot the computer, this only made it worse the next thing i could not loads at all so i decided to erase the disk ( I have back up of my files always) with the option to zero all disk this only fix the problem with disk repair.
right now I have run a hardware test and everything is fine, the disk repair utility tellme that the hardrive is ok as well i have clean the disk with the option 7 passes clen up disk and zerro couple times each, and it always comes to the same stop point (20% of the esencial sstem files then an error and i can go furter than that, I have also try to install just the system files without the printers drivers, languages, and extra apple applications(Photo boot) etc and i still have the same problem,
at this moment i have try every way to install and cleand the disk for installation, also all this time I have formated the drive for Extended Journaled as apple recomends.
Next lines are read only if you want to hear about frustating service from apple.
I have contacted apple they give me an appointment to an apple store to go to the Genius Bar but i have to say the last time i went to the Genius Bar (Houston Galleria) I came back home with my problem ,frustaded and a bitter taste of mouth about apple new service, they only see the problem blame it to something else and gang to support each other teory, because in the end it seems that they are always busy playing with the newest apple hardware and they really want to get rid of you so you don't interrup them.

It appears what happened is the installer though it was looking at a empty drive and just went ahead and installed.
I of course am assuming here you didn't use Disk Utility to format the drive first before installing, that would wipe out your files and programs for sure.
So what to do, what to do.
Well there is hope for you as long as the drive wasn't Filevaulted.
I'll explain. When a hard drive writes data for the first time to a drive, it starts at the very top and works it's way down.
When OS X was installed the first time, it was at the top of the drive, unless you upgraded then the upgraded OS X could have been written elsewhere.
Now when you just reinstalled OS X, the new OS went on the top of the drive, overwriting any data that was there previously, so what was there you have lost forever which is about 8GB or so. If it was the previous OS there, then your more in luck because only the old OS X was overwritten.
The remaining space on the drive still can have a copy of your files, provided it's not overwritten yet.
It's because when a hard drive deletes data or reformats, it doesn't remove the data off the drive or overwrites it immediately, it's just made so it's SPACE is available for new files to be written there.
So technically one can recover the deleted data off a non-encrypted/scrubbed hard drive with special software.
The way it does this is it reads the 1's and 0's of the files themselves, and through a lot of figuring out, can tell what that file is and what it belongs too.
So what you will have to do is this:
Create a data recovery/undelete external boot drive
or if you don't have the skills, then take it to a local PC/Mac tech and they can do a direct image of the drive and then you can run Data Rescue on it to rebuild your files.

Text messages in Safari are garbled on Mac Pro after Snow Leopard install

When reading or composing my Yahoo mail text messages in Safari on my Mac Pro after Snow Leopard, the wording is very garbled. Looks like o's, s's, c's, some caps, with lots of spaces intermixed. Messages look ok on Firefox, on same machine. New messages and reading sent messages look ok on my MacBook and MB Air. When cutting and pasting into something else (like this window), the text looks fine. I can compose and send messages that look garbled, but the right words and letters go out. HTML messages look ok. Any clues for solution?

I have this happening in bunch of different HTML pages. Here's a screenshot of the same page in Safari (Version 4.0.3 (6531.9)) and Mac OS X 1.6.1 side by side with Camino:

Camino renders the page correctly. Safari is really unusable with this problem. Tried switching to and from 64-bit mode in Safari, didn't help either.

You should be able to hold down the option key whilst booting in order to select which OS you want to boot into.

Wifi keeps dropping out on MacBook Pro after installing Yosemite. This is not good. Apparently, a lot of people are having this issue with Yosemite. Any suggestions for my MacBook Pro? It's bad enough that Yosemite looks so boring, but to have a major issue like constantly disconnecting from wifi is deplorable.
I plan to keep Mavericks on my iMac until this issue is resolved.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
First of all, check that you are looking for your USB drive in the correct place. To do it, first connect the USB drive. Then, open a Finder window (press the left icon of Dock) and choose your USB drive on the Finder sidebar, under "Devices". Finally, just copy the documents you need to the internal disk.
If you want to show the USB drive in Desktop, open Finder menu (on the menu bar) > Preferences > General, and tick "External drives"
