No audio on Flv export?

I have a video I compressed awhile as a QT movie with Sorenson 3. I tried to change this into a Flv using the Adobe Media Encoder but when I do there is no audio?

I'm working in Encore CS3 on a PC. I exported a project to Flash and some of it came out with audio and some of it didn't. All audio works fine when burned to dvd. I don't have a capture card on this machine. If anyone has more info on this topic please let me know. Also, I might try opening the project on my Mac...specifically what changes should I make to the Black Magic preferences?
Thanks for the help.

  • FLV Export from Media Encoder

Hi, When I export an FLV from ME, the clip does not play or starts and then stops on Vital Streams servers. I can take the same clip, export a movie as AVI, then bring it into ON2's Flix Pro (using the same codec as ME FLV export is based on) and generate a perfect FLV with the same settings. Has anyone tried to export an FLV and then upload to a streaming server? I use this for clients to review their projects if they are long distance. Thanks for any direction.

Higher the bitrate the better the quality and file size. So the way I've been trying to work it out is literally, how large can a video be per minute and then depending on how long the video is I try and get it down to a certain video bitrate.
For me audio is important as well and so I'm essentially setting the audio bitrate to 128k.
Yes, your video does not play for me either. Is this video encoded using PPro CS3?
Essentially, the FLV files are intended to be played back using the Flash/Flex video player, and they do. I'm new to the whole "Flash" world as such (I'm Primarily a software programmer and not a designer) and so I don't know much about third party player/tools like Flix Pro.
What I can offer to do for you is make you a host like the one I'm made that you can use within your own website. If you'd give me the deminsions of the videos you produce (for online viewing) I can make you a player (no cost). It'll be my way of paying back this forum. If you send me an flv encoded using PPro CS3 that'll be even better :)
If you're a grpahics person, you could also send me png images of buttons and the like and I'll incorporate them into the flv player.

  • Audio in XFL Export

I want to know why I cant hear audio in my xfl export when I preview my file in FlashCS4?
Ive seen several tutorials that work with audio, and it has a little "export audio" check box when you export... and then I find
"Limitations of exporting a composition to XFL format
Audio is not exported to the XFL file."
    on this forum site: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AfterEffects/9.0/WS609484ED-81FD-41fd-B2C8-10A1D55339EF.html
Does anyone have some suggestions for me?  Im trying to flash up a video for my website and cannot get the audio to sync up if I import it seperately.

Ok, I discussed this topic with an After Effects QE engineer who oversees the XFL feature. And I believe I have some juicy bits for you.
Yes, it's true. Audio is not supported in XFL export.
    BUT... there is one exception.
If you have an FLV in the AE timeline that does not need to be re-rendered (see the help page for the rules on when layers are passed through or rendered), the FLV will be packaged into the XFL file without any alteration.  So if audio is contained in that FLV, it will come into Flash.
So one workaround would be to put the audio into an FLV file before importing into AE.  This has some limitations, though:
    1. There has to be video in the file.  AE will ignore layers that are audio only.
    2. You can’t just turn off the video visibility icon.  Same reason as above.
    3. What you CAN do is lower the opacity of the video layer to zero (opacity changes don’t require that the layer be rendered), move it off the visible area in the Comp, or use an FLV where the video is empty (alpha channel in the On2 Vp6 codec) or trivially small.
Regarding the Audio tab you see in Adobe Media Encoder... You have noticed that the FLV settings accessible through the XFL export dialog allow you to enable audio.  If you do this, any rendered FLV’s in the XFL package will indeed have an audio track, but it will be empty.
    Hope this helps!

  • Quicktime 7.1.3 not showing the Flash FLV Exporter option.

I have a macbook with FCP 5.1.2, Quicktime 7.1.3 and Flash Pro 8 installed.
The same as with my G5, but different release of FCP (FCP 4.5 HD in G5)
On my G5 all is fine. I see the FLV export plug in.
The problem is in my Macbook : I can't see the FLV export plug option in Quicktime (export) nor in FCP (file>export>via Qt conversion).
I've made the same installation process in both machines.
Perhaps a problem with the Flash 8 Professional installation on Intel Macs ?
    (That installation was well finished)
Anyway, I can encode with the FLV standalone encoder that comes with Flash 8 pro, but sometimes the plug in is a shortcut way to get a FLV file on the fly.
Could anyone help me to resolve that situation ?
Many thanks in advance. I always got a solution from you Guys!
    Daniel

    QuickTimeKirk, thanks for the reply.
Yes, I think as you that the problem is from FLV exporter from Flash 8. It is not Universal. I will not go backward with QT. I prefer to wait until the UB Flash 8 Pro see the light..... or Flash Pro 9 (for sure it will be Universal)
    Thanks again !

  • I need to reinstall Media Encoder CC (previous version than the current) because i need flv export...Any advice ?

    Hi,
Some client of mine still needs to get flv videos for his website, and i've seen that Media Encoder CC 2014 doesn't have this option anymore.
Unfortunately i already uninstalled the previous version, any way to get it back ?
Or is there any plugin for the current version that allow flv export ?
Any help would be really appreciated, i need to deliver ... tomorrow :/
    Thanks a lot !

ame is downloaded and installed with flash, after effects and premiere pro.  install one of those cc versions and see if ame cc is also installed.

  • NO AUDIO ON BATCH EXPORT.  First 2 times i posted this it never showed up....

Why do I randomly get audio from batch export using AME.  Usually it doesn't work at all as in NO audio but other times several of the files in a batch will have audio.  And other times none.
    What gives?
running Mavericks on G5 with 12GB of RAM and Quadro FX4800 video card.
    Rob

First of all, could you tell me what version of AME you are using?
Did you import files directly into AME or queue jobs from Premiere Pro or other Adobe apps?
Could you clear the following cache folders while no Adobe app is running and try again?
    /Users/<user name>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Media Cache
    /Users/<user name>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Media Cache Files
How many files did you encode at one time?  If you encode one at a time, does it encode fine?

  • Audio fails in Export to QT

    Hi,
I have made two presentations in Keynote and need to export to QT Full Quality, manual advance, to include on DVD's
Both presentations are the same except for the language.
The English version lets me export no problem. However the Korean version has no audio in the export. It does make two files one movie and the other audio but so does the English version. I have checked everything, both files are identical. Both mov. files are 16.4 MB in size. The exported English mov.file has 51.5 MB and the Korean mov.file has 61.2 MB. Does anyone know what happened to the audio or why it won't play?

    Hi
    Me just thinking.
Do You use - external hard disks ? If so
    • Connected via FW or USB/USB2
    • Free space on them
    • formatted as ?
BTW - Did You Mix Down Audio - before Export - I do !

  • Audio sync problem: exporting from FCP to Pro tools or soundtrack pro

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Final Cut Pro sound export for mastering.....sync problem
    Hey,
I'm editing a 30 minute film and I have done most of the sound edit in FCP and Soundtrack pro and I want to now bring all the sound into pro tools to master the sound but every time i export sound into pro tools it seems to stretch by two or three seconds.
I have tried OMF, AIFF, XML, and Quicktime audio file sut to no avail!!!!
There are 50 tracks in the file so it is quiet large. It's not that there are handles of the file also as when I sync the file with the audio track with the video it syncs in one place but it is still out of sync in another.........It's as if the audio has been stretched!?!
If anyone has any advice it'd be much appreciated
    Keith

Try mixing down the audio first. Sequence/Render Only/Audio mixdown.
You could even try exporting the audio with the Export QT movie command using "current settings" and reimport that file, Add that mixed down file to a copy of the sequence. If it syncs in FCP I'd think it will sync on export too.

  • New Mac Pro and now no FLV Export option in FCP

    Hi Folks,
I have a new MAc PRo and just loaded final cut studio 2 and flash 8 onto it.. I know have no option in the quicktime conversion setting to export to FLV?
Please any help would be huge at this point...
Oh.. I loaded After Effects 7 to the new Mac PRo and I get the Export to FLV option from AE so what is the deal?

Hi Todd, I bet you upgraded from a PPC machine.
The real problem here is that Flash 8 is/was not a universal binary (i.e. an app that is supported on both the PPC and the Intel Macs).
So the included "FLV Exporter" QuickTime component does not show up in the export dialog even if it's installed as it just does not get loaded.
    (Should be in "NameOfSystemHD/Library/QuickTime").
If you update to Flash 9/CS3 you get a universal binary app and QT exporter component and it will work again on your (Intel) Mac Pro.
Btw., the Flash support that was in QuickTime had nothing to do with export - especially not with FLV - but with playback of Flash content.
Addionally, AE 7 isn't a universal binary either, so you will suffer some pretty serious performance losses.
    Best regards, Oliver

  • Why remove .flv export from Premiere Pro CC 2014? And what's a good workaround?

Why remove .flv export from Premiere Pro CC 2014? And what's a good workaround?

OK, so you want to put it on your own web page. That's fine as long as you know how to create a web page.
The next thing you have to decide is how big do you want the video to appear on the web page. Many people just post on YouTube and then embed the video into their web page. That way, the video can take advantage of all of the various sizes that YouTube provides.
In any case, I suggest that you use H.264. But the data rate depends on the size of the file. If you are going to display it in HD, then you probably want to start at about 20Mb/s and go up or down from there. The required data rate depends on what you find acceptable, and that depends on the amount of movement in the video. For example, a talking head next to a white board explaining something requires a lot less bits to represent the image because less changes are taking place from frame to frame. If you use 10Mb/s for that, you might find 20Mb/s or more is required to make you happy if you shot a football game from the sidelines.
I generally use settings that look like this image. If you have any questions as to why I choose these settings, feel free to ask.

  • FLV export option not showing in FCP

i recently purchased CS5 Master Collection Student & Teacher Edition. i am told that with the installation of CS5, an flv export option should appear in FCP when using "Export QT Movie".
Unfortunately this is not the case, neither does it appear in the FCP export menu, nor does FLV show up in Compressor, when choosing "Quicktime Export Components" from the "add" button.
    Can anyone help?

In this scenario, you don't want, Export > QT movie. You instead want, Export > Using QT Conversion. Then one of your "OPTIONS" should be "flv."

In Compressor, same sort of deal: you need to set up a file with "Quicktime Export Components" selected. Not QuickTime Movie. Then set the encoder type to FLV.

  • Upgraded to CS4 and now no FLV export plugin in Quicktime

When using CS3 Master Collection (on Mac 10.5.6) I could use Quicktime or Apple Compressor (uses QT) to export .mov files to .flv files. Then I upgraded to CS4 Master Collection and everything still worked. Then I got tired of having all the CS3 programs still on my computer so I used the CS3 disc to uninstall CS3. Later I noticed the Flash export within Quicktime was gone. So I put back CS3 install disc and just installed the Flash export components and then the .flv export was back on Quicktime. Though I solved the problem, shouldn't CS4 (upgrade) have that plugin as well? Did I do something wrong? Are other things going to be missing or go wrong since I uninstalled CS3? Let me know what you think. Thanks

  • Audio Does not export with ideo in quicktime conversion

I know i did something with a keyboard shortcut during the editing process, but i cant figure out what i did and how to change it back. What my issue is that when i try to export it to any format in quicktime (in quicktime conversion) the video is ok, but my audio does not export at all.
I dont know what went wrong but i should note i pressed something on my timeline that i didnt realize what it did. Its hard to explain what it looks like, when you press on different clips all the clips on my time line quickly turn a more silver/light color and then change back to the normal color(not effecting the video quality just the thumbnails). But it is has a weird color
is there a way i can reset all settings without adjusting my video clips?
    Sound settings
    Format: Lubear OCM
    Channels: Stereo (L R)
    Rate: 48.0000 hHz
    Render Settings:
    Quality: Normal
    Linear PCM Settings:
    Sample Size: 16 bits
    Checked: Little Endian

    Hi(Bonjour)!
Does the audio play when you run sequence?
Did you toggle off the monitor icon at the left side of timeline for audio track?
When export to quicktime conversion, select quicktime movie and click OPTION.
From this point, you should see a checkbox for SOUND. Be sure to check it ON.

  • No audio when I export as a quicktime movie

I am exporting my movie from FCE as a quicktime movie, but there is no audio on the exported file. Why would this be?

The audio tracks are switched off in the timeline. You're not monitoring it properly. Where are you watching in the video? In the QT player? In FCE? Somewhere else? Are there any meters in that application? Are they moving? Is the volume turned up?

  • Audio distorted in export

The audio of my exported medai is very distorted. Original audio is from iTunes AAC 256 bits. I'm exporting an lower bits and still distorted. What to do?

    Hi Al,
Here are the steps I use to export:
From the File menu, I select 'Share' and select 'Master File'
In the pop-up dialog box I click on 'Settings' and select 'H264' as the CODEC
I open the rendered file with QuickTime Player and the audio is distorted.
I open the rendered file with QuickTime Player 7 and the audio is fine
I convert the exported file to a WMV file using Pro version of Flip Player. The audio in the resulting file is fine.
I'm no expert but this would on the outset appear to be a problem with QuickTime v10.4.  I can't seem to find a way to resolve this. Thank you for your assistance.
FYI - the audio file for the project is pulled in to FCPX as an mp3 directly from the iTunes library via the 'Music and Sound' browser.
