No audio playback, Encore CS6
I have been using Adobe products for 10 years and Encore since the beginning of its time. Now all of a sudden this week, I get no audio playback to my PC speakers in Encore CS6 when I play back an Encore timeline (with of course the audio file dropped in). I a NOT doing any linking between programs. I export both video and audio files from Premiere CS6 and then import the files into Encore, already encoded. I export ac3 audio like I have always done, directly from Premiere, so I can increase the audio bit rate (up to 256k). I can actually import these files back into Premiere CS6 and they play fine so I know the audio is there. I did not make any changes in audio setup in either program. The only thing that has occured in the past 2 weeks has been updates from Creative Cloud for Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and a couple of other programs, but of course not Encore since Adobe is not supporting this any longer. Let me know if there is a fix or if there will be a future fix for this? I am on Windows PC, all software up to date.
Okay, I found out the problem. I recently upgraded Matrox Utility drivers and for whatever reason, the Audio/Video Out settings in Encore got changed. Under Preferences, Audio/Video Out, then under Video Out, Audio Device: I actually have to pick the "Adobe Desktop Audio" option (not the Matrox player option) to hear the audio on my PC speakers. However, under Video Device: the Matrox Player is checked, for playback to my external monitor. Case is solved.

Video's audio out of Sync once imported to Encore CS6
Hello Everyone,
I'm having some issues with Encore CS6 on my iMac running OS X 10.9.5.
I'm trying to burn some video that i've captured off of VHS using Elgato Video Capture. It outouts the files as .mp4
The videos play fine outside, but as soon as I import them into Encore the audio becomes out of sync. I've burned many VHS to DVD's and for some reason the problem seems to be recent. There out of sync in the timeline, preview, and once burned.
I even tried using Adobe media encoder to convert the .mp4 to MPEG-2 outside of Encore and the audio was still out of sync. I even tried cutting a bit of the audio off at the front because it seem to be just a little slower, and it worked for the first 5 minutes then it became un-synced again.
Does anyone have any idea's as to whats going on? Or has experienced this problem?

Unfortunately it wouldn't let me selected the tree view. I did find a text view that has way more information. As for the length of the Audio and Video lengths there both 1h 23mn.

No Video, only Audio when building a DVD in Encore CS6
Hi everyone!
First post here, and I apologize if this has been somewhat covered in other posts, I couldn't seem to find any similar issues in this matter, and I pray someone here can help.
I'm new to DVD authoring, and just started using Adobe Encore CS6 over the summer. I shot a dance recital, and after following some tutorials, made an awesome DVD that was very well received.
However, my last two DVDs have not come out working properly. I imported .m2v files from HC Encoder (DVD Compliant, max 7500kbps for safety) into Adobe Encore CS6, where the .m2v files say "Don't Transcode." They play just fine in the timelines in Encore.
When I build the DVD to either a folder, image, or disc, only audio plays for the video portions of the DVD. The only way to get the video to play is if I run the DVD through VLC. I tested in Windows Media Center (on Windows 8) as well as my PlayStaton 4, and the black picture with audio persists for each video element of the DVD.
Between making the DVD of the dance recital and the DVD today, I have gone through at least two complete system restores, if this is something that could possibly have made things go awry. If it helps to know, I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro.

I imported an *.m2v file along with a *.wav file, both the exact same durations and lined up correctly in the timeline. In the project panel, for the *.m2v it says "Don't Transcode" for Status and "Don't Transcode" for Settings; for the *.wav it says, "Untranscoded" for Status and "Automatic" for settings.
That's all that Encore's telling me about the files.
Side note, interestingly enough, I went back and re-exported the DVD of the Dance Recital that I had mentioned earlier, and it plays just fine. (I'm trying to compare the two projects as best I can) It seems as if the *.m2v file that I made in HCEncoder for the recital plays just fine in Windows Media Player, however my most recent ones do not. But they still play in Encore. Needless to say, I'm baffled. -
Encore CS6: Rebuilding audio tracks | PROBLEM
Hello, guys. Greetings from Brazil.
I'm having a problem with Encore CS6 during the authoring process and thought you guys could help me out with this. My Blu-ray project contains 29 video files (total of 2h 22m) and I have 5 psd menus (with an audio background from another file) in it. The files weren't with the same resolution/settings so I converted them in .MOV files with the same audio rate but keeping the resolution differences. I watch it inside Encore and it works just fine.
The problem is when I try to build the disc, image or folder: it stucks at the "Rebuilding audio tracks" and doesn't go on by any chance. I've started over from scratch 4 times and the same message keeps bothering me.
The first time I built, it was in a DVD format (exported a DVD folder), then I duplicated the project and changed the settings, putting it to a Blu-Ray configuration. It was right then that these issues started and now I can't build any Blu-Ray and DVD either.
Please, can you guys help me?

So, I fixed the issue by replacing the Play All timeline (in which I reinserted the mov clips in a long, continuous sequence) for a Playslist, using the timelines that were already created. I found an information that the act of putting mov files in a long sequence may cause a sort of incompatibility with the audio tracks. Something about the ac3, don't know exactly
But yes, the problem was solved when I used a Playlist instead of a new, huge, timeline.

I have a problem with desface followed by the use of audio in encore edit in premiere cs6 cs6 all too well what happened to encore review what is good and to create the image on encore cs6 outdated audio out and let me know inwhichthe is the error or devo doDVDs are LOW resolution by today's standards - only about 0.3 megapixels - so there is no way they your images on a TV set will look "High Definition". See Preparing images for iDVD slideshows at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/7.0/en/6675.html for recommendations on image sizes to use. Using larger images won't give you better quality, andf in some cases, will lower you image quality because the Quicktime resizing that occurs isn't the best.

Audio goes out of sync when Blu-ray folder is exported from Encore CS6
I compile a project in Encore using H.264 and .wav files. The audio plays fine directly from the timeline. It also plays fine when I preview it from Encore. When I finally export it as a set of Blu-ray folders, the audio exports out of sync with the video. It is approximately 6-7 seconds ahead of the video. What am I doing incorrectly? When I mux the files into an .MKV, the video is in sync with the audio so I know the files themselves do not have different start times.
I am running with an HP Z820 with Windows 7, 64-bit OS and 16GB RAM.For anyone who's interested, I found a solution to this problem. Once imported into Encore, the leader in on the video and audio files cannot be trimmed at all. (I had been trimming the beginning of the video and matching audio file to eliminate the 8 seconds of dead space at the start of the clips.) Although the trim took effect immediately in the Encore timeline and I could also watch it in preview in sync, exporting was another story. The audio track seems to retain the trim when exporting but the video track does not, hence the 6-7 second delay between audio and video.
I reimported the files to my project and left in the 8 seconds of dead space at the start and voila! The video and audio match up when exported.
Ideally the trim tool would just work as its supposed to through export and all, but at least I found a solution I can work with.
(As a note, the trim works just fine in export on Encore CS5. I only had this problem with Encore CS6.) -
Audio Playback from Headphones Only - not speakers (CS6)
I prefer to work with my USB headphones, but if I need to show someone what I'm working on I'll want to be able to playback a sequence in progress through the speakers. This used to be a simple matter of unplugging the headphones and it would automatically default back to sending the audio through the speakers. But at a certain point Adobe Premiere ceased to work that way. I would unplug the headphones and it would playback with no audio. I discovered if I saved my project, closed premiere, then made sure the headphones were unplugged when opening Premiere, it would work through the speakers. Now, however, even that won't work. It just simply won't playback through the speakers - ever. Playback through the headphones continues to work fine. Audio playback from other programs continue to go through the speakers just fine.
I've gone into the audio output and output mapping preferences, and although I don't know what I'm doing there I simply tried every single option one at a time to see if it would solve the problem, but nothing changed it. Any suggestions?Dave, I have had this problem on my MacBook Pro for many months. I've tried EVERYTHING Apple suggested - SMC reset, PRAM reset, everything EXCEPT take it in to be serviced by Apple. Here is my solution, which overcomes the hardware failure caused by the headphone jack optical sensor thinking something is plugged in there when there isn't.
If you do not want to pay Apple to fix your MacBook optical sound jack hardware, you can overcome the problem with this procedure.
This fix re-routes the output sound to the headphone jack input, and then to the speakers.
Step 1. Plug headphones in (don’t worry, you won’t use them)
Step 2. Change System Preferences -> Sound -> Change Internal Speakers to an Input!

I have a very large project built with Premiere Pro CC.
The project has 5 "sequences" which are "rendered" before export to Media Encoder CC.
The "transcode" (max quality) runs very well but is very slow (Media Encoder does not use GPU even the "Playback Mercury Engine" is activated), this is worst without Playback Mercury Engine.
The transcoded files are imported within Encore CS6 (no dynamic link between Encore CS6 ane PP CC and no Encore CC version, Adobe decided this but with very bad reasons).
The Encore project has 5 "montages" and one "diffusion list", the menu has "animated" buttons and need to be rendered before creating the final disk (blu-ray).
But when I try the menus before creating the blu-ray disk I obtain :
- media pending message : the audio track is there but the video track appears lated and is not smooth,
- the animated button of menus are very curious : some are correct but others flash in red or green.
- the software Encore freeze with a white screen, then the job may be resume,
- the "complete title" begins normally then the video disappears but not the audio, after 10 seconds the video appears but seems to be frozen.
I checked the links of chapters and buttons, all works normally. The project checking give no error.
I never encountered this with Premiere Pro CS6 and Encore CS6 (dynamic link works).
How can I fix this strange situation without discarding PP CC and migrate to FCPX ?Hello,

- 3) Yes my GPU driver is updated (Nvidia GeForce 332.21 dated 12/19/2014).
I never had thiese problems with PP CS6 + Encore CS6 and my projects
built with these PP ans Encore version were with the same structure and
length (in PP CS6 : sequences up to 45 minutes, in Encore CS6 chapters
up to the same time).
The difference between are in my hardware :
- the RAM was upgraded from 12 GB to 24 GB,
- the CPU was overclocked from 3,2 GHz (default) to 3,88 GHz).
- 4) I shall try up to the disk burn to check if the problem is just due
to display of "animated buttons".

PS3 (Playstation 3) issue not loading BDR Bluray | Adobe Encore CS6
I recently created a Bluray using Adobe Encore CS6, and the Bluray is not loading on my PS3, but is working fine on my other player (LG, Toshiba and PC). Does anyone have the same issue and found a solution? I need help on this as most of my client use their PS3 as Bluray player.

The project setting in CS6 is: Blu-ray NTSC with MPEG-2 Codec at 1920x1080 at 23.976FPS
The “Check Project” shows no error. I build (output) as an image, then burn the *.ISO file using CyberLink Power2Go.
The BD-R work fine everywhere (LG & Toshiba player) except on my PS3. The BD-R has the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folder, so I don’t know why my PS3 don’t recognize it. And I have three PS3 at home; 1xPS3 80GB version (3yrs old) and 2xPS3 super slim (1yr old). All three are unable to see the BD-R. My PS3 work fine with all other media (games & movie Bluray); and I highly doubt that all three have trouble with the Bluray player.
I did the same process last time (in 2013) and everything is working fine, all the same configuration, except I used Adobe Encore CS4. My PS3 was able to read and recognize the BD-R. But since CS6, my PS3 don’t see the BD-R. I also put back the copy that I did last year with CS4 (just to make sure that is not a PS3 firmware issue) and the Bluray work fine. The media (Verbatim) come from the same tower (leftover from last year).
So everything point toward CS6…is there something that change from CS4 to CS6 for Bluray creation? Jumping from Encore CS4 to CS6, I don’t see anything different, but look like there is, because the Bluray can no longer be played on my PS3. Please help!

Imgburn will read the ACTUAL disc brand from the disc, which is not always the same as the box label (Memorex is notorious for buying "anything" and putting it inside a Memorex box)
When you write to disc with Imgburn, use the SLOWEST possible speed setting, so your burner has the best chance to create "good, well formed" laser burn holes... since no player is required to read a burned disc, having a "good" one from a high quality blank will help -
ENCORE CS6 gives error message during the burning of Blu-ray Disc
I did it again - upgraded my Production Premium CS5 to CS6.
I will not forget CS4 that never came to work. It was not a workable version, but at best an Alfa or maybe Beta version.
I was therefore naturally afraid to upgrade my reasonably well functioning CS5 version, but did it anyway.
My fears kept unfortunately connectors. Audition CS6 scratchy and crunches a lot when I change Audio Device from MME to ASIO. It should be noted, that none of my other programs have this problem neither my Soundbooth nor Audition 5.5 which I fortunately still have installed. So it is only Audition CS6 that crunches with ASIO4ALL.
Encore CS6 is also a problem child. When I try to burn a Blu-ray Disc I get, in the final phase, following error message: Blu-ray Error: "device error", Code: "CreateStcSequence: Fail to write M2S file"
Fortunately, I can open the project file in my Encore CS5, which do not have the same problem. Encore CS6 cannot be used as a standalone application - I still need to have a previous version installed to complete my projects. It is not fair.
Unfortunately I can see that many others have the same problem. Even worse, however, that Adobe still has not come with an update or fair solution of the problem - after so long.
It annoys me infinitely, I every time have to spend so much time on the Internet in an attempt to find solutions to remedy Adobe problems. These are programs I have paid dearly for - exactly twice as much as others living in the U.S. pay - just because I live in Europe.
If there is a user who has some useful suggestions I would appreciate it very much.

Adobe Encore CS6 crashes when creating a new timeline
Hello,
So I've been using Encore for a while now, and recently just upgraded my system to OSX Mavericks. I understand that the compatibility of En is with OSX Lion but I had it working in Mountain Lion, and see no drastic OS changes that'd make the application crash.
Whenever I open the application and create a new timeline it crashes. This happens whether I have two files selected (m2v and WAV) or simply just creating a blank timeline.
I can create menus, and link them with the pick-whip, but timelines there is nothing I can figure out what to do.
I have done a clean install of CS6 three times already hoping that would fix it, but it didn't. Then I did a fresh install of the OS on one of the Macs to see if the upgrade was an issue - still no avail.
Has anyone got Encore working? It's a struggle at best knowing the application isn't getting worked on in the CC anymore, let alone not allowing me to continue using it.
I also tried creating a Slideshow Timeline, but that too crashes the application if that's any extra helpThis is the crash log:

Encore CS6 Flash Export problem, Grey screens
Hi everyone,
I am having a problem with my encore CS6 flash exports, they are not behaving as expected online (seems to be like a loading issue).
I've tried exporting FLV and F4V and the problem is the same. The same project exported from CS5.5 does not produce this undesirable
problem. It may be important to say that the project was started in CS5.5.
I have a button that links to another menu, and I am using videos as 'transitions'. The videos are dynamic after effects compositions.
When it's online, and you press the button it fills the canvas with a 'grey screen' before starting the video transition. This totally breaks
the experience and feels like an authoring error. It would be important to note, that this screens only appear the first time you see the flash.
Somehow the next time you press it doesnt show it.
I would happily go back to CS5.5 but I started using auto-activate buttons that are only available on CS6 flash exports.
Any ideas what has changed between this versions flash exports?
Any help would be appreciated..

Simple project, DVD NTSC, One menu with one button. One timeline. Menu first play, button linked to timeline.
Output flash with flv (and again with f4v - same results), No template, keep with flash swf rather than streaming.
Open index.html locally, must manually enable active content. Menu opens, movie plays. No grey screen.
Copy entire folder to USB, same result; USB plays on a different PC also.
Upload to web site; same result.
Am I doing soething differently from either of you? Are you using templates?
Factors related to flash security (for local and probably USB playback) can be problems. Various server settings can be problems for on line. -
Premiere Pro CC & OS X Mavericks Audio Buzzing & Audio Playback Issues
Working on the latest version of Premiere CC version 7.2.1 and MAC OS X 10.9.1. I am experiencing a really loud disturbing buzzing/cutout sound in playback. I have tried changing every audio setting possible on my mac and in the Premiere CC Audio/Playback settings. Sometimes changing the audio hardware or playback preferences fix it, but only for a few minutes. This is beyond a deal breaker for me. We need a fix for this, been dealing with audio issues with Premiere since CS6, nonsense.

Please someone help me with this, im deep in a music video edit and dont know what to do, im working at a snails pace on a really fast machine.If the problem is limited to audio transitions, then you're probably hitting a bug that was introduced in 7.2: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5945929#5945929. A fix went into 7.2.1. For projects that you worked on in 7.2, I believe you need to clear the cache and, possibly, the preview render files.
Several users have reported that the fix in 7.2.1 did not resolve the issue in all cases.

Audio Playback Issues in Premiere Pro 8.1.0 with AJA Kona 3
Hi,
I'm supporting a couple of edits running the latest version of Premiere Pro. The editors are experiencing some strange stuttering/glitching audio playback via the installed AJA Kona 3 cards, manifested as follows:
When scrubbing using keyboard arrow keys for any prolonged period of time, audio either begins to stutter or fails to playback (despite there being activity on the audio monitors within the software)
When playing audio with unrendered effects (nothing too challenging, unrendered titles etc.), the audio will occasionally not play at all or will begin to stutter also.
Specs are as follows:
HP z800 running Windows 7 64-bit
2 x Intel Xeon X5650 CPUs
32GB RAM
512GB Samsung SSD
nVidia Quadro 4000 (latest drivers installed)
AJA Kona 3 (latest drivers installed)
Wacom Intuos 4 tablet (latest drivers installed)
Storage is a SMB share connected via a dedicated 1Gb/s ethernet link (Intel PRO 1000 card) and media is largely DVCPRO HD 100 wrapped as OP1a MXF, with corresponding sequence settings.
I've played with various RAM and Playback settings (including setting the AJA video playback buffer to 'minimum' as suggested on another thread regarding audio playback), but the problems persist. Is there anything else I can try, or more information I can provide?Since it worked with CS5.5, check with Blackmagic to see if they have updates for CS6
I know from other discussions that an nVidia driver update was needed for at least some people upgrading to CS6 -

I have been using premiere elements 12 for editing FullHD videos.
Brand new for me just bought it like 2 weeks ago.
Now during the last couple weeks I have had this MAJOR proglem with editing the audio.
This problem is headache and turns my simple editing into almost impossibilites.
I have had this problem with all my projects. _ALL_
Usually the problem seems to appear when I want to start working with several audio tracks.
At somepoint my projects just get ruined, I simply cannot hear the audio tracks.
The audio starts to disapear randomly from all the audio tracks.
It is not only playback problem. When I exported the video, the audio was partly missing, same as the project.
I have tried to look help on forums and search all what I could find, but havent been able to solve this.
Small fix has slightly helped:
I export audio to single track and bring it back to project. This works but I still usually have more editing to do.
I simply cannot understand why the playback disapears, I fear it is a bug.
I found lot of earlier version problems on people with similar type of problems, but no help for this version of program.
To solve the matter I have changed my audio setting in PE12.
Tried Premiere Elements WDM Sound and ASIO4ALL V2, but same problem on both.
I have looked up that my audio playback device and PE12 matches, and are not muted, and volumes maxed.
I have deleted my C:\ appdata\roaming\adobe premiere elements & premiere elements 12 folder preferences.. not helping..
I press the update pretty much everyday hoping for new version.. But yes, program keeps telling me its the latest.
I usually only work with 3 audio track maxinum. And I am doing really the most basic stuff here..
I have set all my audios to foreground and it has given me best results, but it does not seem to take the problem away as at somepoint randomly my audio playback is missing again, randomly across the playback.
Please anyone? I am feeling hopeless here.

Progressive frame rate, I record this from a game.
Recording program: dxtory
codec: Lagarith Lossless codec
Format: avi
Frame width: 1920
Frame height: 1080
Data rate: 1990656kbps
total bit rate 1992192kbps
Frame rate 30/frames/seccond
Audio of video properties:
Codec: PCM
Format: 16bit, stereo
Bit rate: 1536kbps
Channels: 2(stereo)
Audio sample rate 48 kHz
In addition to that I use wav files for music and narrate
Music files sizes 20-50mb
bit rate: ~1411kbps
In total sizes of audio involved is usually something like 300mb
What are you or the program setting as the project preset in the new project dialog. See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and its Editing Mode, Timebase, and Frame Size readings.
I opened new project and this is what i got:
Editing mode: HD 1080i
Timebase: 25,00 frames/second
Frame size: 1920 x1080
Audio is 48000 Hz
(I dont know how to change these, btw. Program don't seem to let me change editing mode.
I also looked up my most recent project and found these settings:
Editing Mode: DSLR
Timebase: 30,00 frames/second
Frame size: 1920 x1080
..and same audio settings
Do the problems persist if you start a new project? Do you find the audio problems develop when the Timeline content is fairly well developed or can the problems occur when there a minimal amount of content of those tracks? Let us look at the size and duration of this project.
Yes, I have had this problem with all my projects. Sometimes it goes away tho, just enough for me to work bit more. My work progress usually starts by clipping the video material, like 1h material to 8minutes in clips. After that I want to work with audio tracks, and here problems start! When I start working with more than 1 track, so the problem is at later stage. To fix the problem a small fix I have used, I export audio like music and effects tracks together to 1 wav and bring it back. After that, I start working with narrate track. To describe the problem with audio:
Audio Randomly starts to disapear when I playback, and can also be gone if I export the video out.
My source videos total size are usually within 80Gb max limit and audio edit material 300mb total.
In my last project my biggest source video was 47GB and leingth of 1h 4m, in addition to that I had 3 smaller videos, sizes of 1GB, 1,54GB and 300MB.
Is there any evidence that you are accidentially moving the audio track rubberband to alter the audio volume. That rubberband is the orange line that runs horizontally through the middle of the audio clip when you are looking at the wave form display style of that audio track. The rubberband represents audio volume.
No, audio volumes might have been adjusted in my tracks but they are present. The problem is usually like ~2-5seconds, a random audio track can be heard (like music or narrate) or just no sounds at all. This makes it very difficult to work with the audio. Also I gotta say that this problem starts by simply having the 2-3 audio tracks.. In my recent project the only adjustment I used to edit the audio was fade in/out.
I don't have any other audio problems with any other programs.
I am more than happy to provide more information if needed. I hope this information helps.
In addition I can say that when I close Adobe Premiere Elements 12, it crashes. No idea why.
I have also looked up my firewall settings, anything involved adobe and premiere..
In addition some effects like HD text templates make "Adobe Media Core CS6" crash. I tend to just not use em, or if I need em, I add em at end of the edits.
I hope this helps, I would really like to solve this problem.
