If you are having issues with your iPhone not recording sound when using your front camera, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPhone -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

when I record video on my iphone 4 the playback of the audio sounds like it is muffled and is not as loud as it should be? I have had the phone for 2 years and the last time I had used it to record a video was in July of this year. The sound came out crisp and clear. Now when ever I play back videos the audio is muffled and at a lower volume than it should sound like. I have the volume set all the way up when I record and my hands are not covering the microphone and/or near to affect the audio playback.

when i watch videos on my iphone 5 my wifi buffers the video and then halfway through it just stops and all wifi stops working on my device. i need to switch back off and on the wifi then it works but the same thing happens every time for videos. NOT A ROUTER PROBLEM. all my other apple devices dont have this problem

I have very little to no audio on my recorded videos. Seems to be either a rear mic problem or software issue has not enabled rear mic. Audio is fine when talking through front mic on phone calls. Volume levels at max settings. Anyone one else have this problem?
I'd like to say it's unbelievable that a company can do this and get away with it. This $600 phone records no audio when you use the video camera. None. After spending over an hour searching online, I find that it's a "known" issue; i.e., a defect that HTC was aware of and went ahead and sent it to market figuring the poor schmucks who bought it would just have to spend hours trying to figure out what was wrong. HTC now says they have no idea when a fix will be available, or, for that matter, IF a fix will be available. Can you imagine a car company doing this? Here's your new Toyota and we've advertised the bejesus out of it and made it seem like it's so cool and you need it yesterday, and you'll pay top dollar for it, and...oh, by the way, now that you've bought it, the windshield wipers don't work. It's a known issue, and, in the meantime, we suggest taking your time and money and installing an after-market, third-party windshield wiper assembly. We regret any inconvenience. THERE REALLY SHOULD BE CRIMINAL PENALTIES (i.e., prison time) FOR THIS SORT OF WILLFUL CONSUMER FRAUD. THEY'RE SAYING THEY'RE SELLING SOMETHING THAT WORKS, IT DOESN'T WORK, THEY KNOW IT, AND THEY GO AHEAD AND SELL IT ANYWAY. I ALSO THINK THIS MAY VIOLATE MAIL FRAUD LAWS. I imported a video and when I play it back, the audio does not match the video. When I view the tape in my camera it looks fine. I've tried imported twice and each time it doesn't match. What can I do to fix this?
The default settings mostly likely use an audio sample rate of 32k. This doesn't work probably in FCP. You're probably better off capturing the tape in iMovie.

Note: My iphone 4S is running ios 5.01.See if it helps to delete the firmware file and download a new one:
Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw)
iTunes uses "ipsw" files to restore your iPod or iPhone. If those files are unusable, then try deleting them, renaming them, or moving the file to a different directory. This will cause iTunes to download a new copy of the IPSW. When a restore issue is specific to a user, it is likely due to an unusable .ipsw file. If removing the .ipsw file does not resolve a user-specific restore issue, then the issue is caused by other user-specific security software settings or iTunes preferences. Creating a new user will also cause new .ipsw restore files to be downloaded in the new user. You can find the ".ipsw" files in these locations:
Mac OS X
iPhone
~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
iPad
~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates
iPod touch
~/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates

When I record video on the iPad and ripping it to make a DVD CD I can see the video upside down why?
Without any information on what programs you used to edit or convert the material from the h.264 the iPad records to the mpeg2 format a DVD requires, it is impossible to say what is causing your problems.
Other possible solutions are to turn your TV upside down or stand on your head to watch. Either one will address the specific problem.

How? System audio when screen recording
Anyone know how to record system audio when screen recording in Lion? I've been trying to use the Quicktime Player record. I've trying to avoid spending gobs of money on a 3rd party app I'll only use rarely. Any help at all would be great.

Though the suggestion above is valid, you might not want to
use it ("Resize") as the answer because it can be tricky to use,
and because it
always results in a much larger file. I think a better way
to accomplish what you want is to create the background image you
want in your image editor, making sure it is sized as you want it,
then make that image the desktop image.
The image you create might have a vertical (height) of 500
pixels, and a horizontal (width) of 740 pixels. Of the horizontal
740 pixel size, you might use 180 pixels on the left for a TOC or
Index area, 20 pixels as a "border" area, and last, a "content"
area of 540 pixels on the far right.
Then place your recording red-rectangle around the whole
image on your desktop, with the application to be captured placed
in the 540 pixel "content" area.
This works ... I've used the concept for years ... and it
doesn't result in a bloated file, as the "Resize" operation most
certainly will. Hope this helps. I'll be happy to give you some
sample images if you contact me privately with a link to this

When playing a video I have downloaded from iTunes I get the message "This Movie Cannot be played on this machine". The weird thing is that I downloaded the film from iTunes and while it was downloading I was watching it with my kids on my IMac. Once it had finished downloading I went with them to the living room Tao carry on watching on our apple tv. The apple TV wouldn't play it and said I needed to authorise my Pc, then the IMac gave the message above and I haven't been able to play it since. All my other downloaded films play. I am running iTunes version 10.2.2. And my iMac is Running Snow Leopard OS 10.6.7. Anyone who can shed some light on this weird situation will have my upmost thanks

I have the same problem. Been trying to find some answers, but not a lot of info about this. It seems to happen only when:
- itunes library is stored remote (NAS or external HD)
- starting a movie/show before download has finished will make it fail next time you try to start
Hope this gets fixed soon.. it's making purchasing content via itunes a hassle -
Hi when I stream video content to my Tv using Apple tv from my Ipad3 I find the Ipad goes to sleep after 2/3 minutes and disconects, the only way I have found to stop this is to continually tap the Ipad screen but there has to be a simpler method/ any help would be most welcome.
