No Audio with my touch Smart 600

I have a touch smart 600, and have ran all the diagnostics and updates but it still does not have any sound to it!

Upgrade video card Touch smart 600

HP touchsmart600-1390 I would like to upgrade the video card. Is this possible/ and do i have to upgrade the power supply as well? The present card is GT 230 Invidia 1GB memory. Thanks!

I understand that you are looking to upgrade the graphics card in your HP TouchSmart 600-1390 Desktop PC and are wondering if you need to upgrade your power supply as well. I do not believe that you will have any issues with your power supply as your current graphics card is a PCIe nVidia GeForce GT 230 1GB (Scorpius) graphics card. According to the HP TouchSmart 600-1390 Desktop PC Product Specifications page you have a 150W (100V-240V) power supply and according to the wikipedia page Mobile PCI Express Module, which illustrates the power requirements of a MXM graphics card your current power supply is more than sufficient to power any MXM graphics card you my purchase.

Video out of Touch Smart 600-1350

Is it possible get video out of my 600-1350 so i can display pictures on another monitor on the wall? I cannot see any way, maybe I'm just blind!

Welcome to HP's forum. Yes no matter what type of computer you have or ports. USB Pinnacle http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=usb+pinnacle&qpvt=usb+pinnacle&FORM=IGRE these are images. I bejeive in your case you should have the necessary ports if you remove the left side small back pannell by the ambient light switch. You should be able to see all your ports. Please open Help and Support on the right side of programs list In help and support search box. Type in pc to monitor , pc to tv is the best one for direction and cable needs go here first. You can type in pc to pc. Type in vcr to pc, # 5 Connect a projector. All direction and cables needed are given. Rember if your computers do not have all these fancy ports you can just use an USB pinnacle witch all computers have an USB ports. Please click on Kudos if this resoves your issue. Thank you frrw. How to get video out on HP Touch Smart 600-1050

Hey i would like to see my computers screen on my hdtv but it doesnt seem that my computer has a vga out port. Is there any other way that i can get video out on this PC.

Touch smart 600

After cold run the computer hung on a bios/post screen. After 3-5 reboots can run.
I couldnt find any bios update for this PC.
Any ideas?

IPod touch no audio with FaceTime

connected iPod touch with iMac using FaceTime, video is great but the iPod has no audio, the iMac works fine, so only missing the audio on the iPod. Tried iPod head set and reloading the FaceTime software on the iMac, no joy. Suggestions?

Will Garageband on an IMAC with OS 10.7 work with a Tascam us-600 USB audio interface

I need a USB audio interface to read in DAT tapes from a Tascam DA20 recorder. I want to use the S/PDIF digital output from the recorder. Has anyone used the Tascam US-600 with the IMAC and Garageband? Any other recommendations for a USB interface that will accommodate S/PDIF as well as XLR Mic inputs for under $200?

Been there, done that.
I can select the device (US-144), but I do not get any choice for the output channel. The default is to go the analog channel ( channels 1 and 2).
However - I did find a workaround. There is an opensource package called Soundflower:

From the description:
"Soundflower is a MacOS system extension that allows applications to pass audio to other applications. Soundflower is easy to use, it simply presents itself as an audio device, allowing any audio application to send and receive audio with no other support needed."
This allows me to set the output channel for garage band (and any other app, e.g. itunes) to the digital S/PDIF output.
It would be nice if this functionality was built in to Mac OS X...

Video podcasts no longer sync with iPod Touch

I am using latest version of iTunes 10.1.1 (4) and latest os 10.6.5 on MacBook Pro with iPod Touch (gen 3). I subscribe to a video podcast and in beginning it worked, but for last 2 months though they download into iTunes and I can watch them, they are either not syncing to my iPod or I cannot find them. Before they were in Podcast list along with audio podcasts.

Yeah I noticed some videos we'rent syncing to my iPod 5th Gen now that I switched to Mac, and reformatted my iPod, and was reminded that some items wouldn't transfer. These were certain podcasts, as well as a HD TV Show Episode. (I thought HD TV show purchases came with a SD version for iPod, but maybe it got lost in the transfer or I deleted it sometime)....but WHATEVER:
If you want, you can convert any video file to a format that fits iPod/iPhone, or even iPad/Apple TV, here's how:
Select the video item(s) you wish to make a compressed version for, and click ADVANCED on the menu bar. Then select "Create iPod/iPhone Version" or "Create iPad/Apple TV Version" depending on what you are syncing too. If these options are greyed out, it means it is not necessary to do this as those devices already can support the file as is. iTunes will then convert, and presto, you have a copy which will go onto your device!

How do you play YouTube audio with the screen off with iPod 5th gen?

I used to own a 2nd gen iPod touch, which ran on an ios 4.2.1 system, that allowed me to play YouTube with the screen off. Ever since I got iPod 5 which came with ios 7, let's say I am kinda still getting the hang of how everything works. I still would like to play YouTube while the screen is off, but seem to not know how. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? It's running on ios 8, so if you could help me with this, I would gladly appreciate it!

Hi there, you can download itube, it's in the app store, and that allows you to save youtube videos for offline play. Also, you can play youtube audio with the screen off, even without a third party app. Click on a video. When it's playing, press the lock button. Press it again, to wake the device up. You should see your video on the front of the display, with a play button. Click it, and it will start playing even if the device is off. Hope I helped, ~Samuel.

Brand new touch smart 520 losing wireless connection randomly

i have a brand new touch smart 520 and it is constantly losing wifi connection. it is only about 20 ft away from router so it is not a distance issue. it is also not my router because my phones and my laptop do just fine.. it is saying i have the latest drivers. what do i do now.. dont want to have to deal with this everyday!

Friends, I want to know what is the Bluetooth device in the HP Touch Smart TX2-1275 DX ? Im asking the manufacturer brand and model number such as Ralink xxx, Broadcom xxx and so on for this laptop not the Software Support for HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology for Microsoft Windows Vista driver. If anyone knows, can you please provide me the link to download it? My friend reformatted it without taking note of the original device name in the device manager. This tablet is without bluetooth module.
You may buy usb micro Bluetooth adapter.
With that kind of device you don't need to even remember then it's plugged.

HP Touch Smart problems

Hi first post so go easy....
Left work after 20 years and managed to include a Touch Smart PC in my deal. Everything was fine when i was using it at work but recently it has been freezing up, not booting up, all sorts of issues.
So, firstly can anyone tell me how to find out what model i've got
Also how do i find out if i need firmware uogrades
It was on Vista Home Pro so i thought that might be causing it,
i then loaded Win7 but it still has problems

Hi there, Did you get any luck with the model number.
What series was it 5,6,7,8,900, desktop or notebook.
Getting into the bios, F10 at HP boot screen will show you info too.
that is if things are working enough to do so..

HP Touch Smart

I want to Edit a small Video I took with my camera. I am using Windows 7 with Microsoft 10. Anyway the Video is in a file folder: Libraries, Videos. I open up the touch Smart and then open the videos. There are some Videos already in the files there, they went there automatically as I did not put them there. The video I want is not there, I do not know how to pull the Video I want to edit into the Touch Smart application. I have tried search, but it is not found. How do I get the Video into Touch Smart? The Video usually opens from its file folder with Window Media Player.

There are many different models of the HP Touch Smart, knowing what specific model you have may be beneficial to supporting you with this issue.
Are you able to enter into safe mode?
Keep hitting F8 after you power on until the Safe Mode screen shows up.
If it boots up try to do a system restore to before you installed the updates.
Are you able to enter into recovery mode?
Keep hitting F11 after you power on until the Recovery window opens.
If you are able to get into recovery mode you can attempt to recover the system back to it's original defaults. However, this should act as a last resort if safe mode doesn't work.

Downloaded podcast with ipod touch 2g showing like video

Hello.
I have ipod touch 2g. When i download audio podcast with ipod touch its showing like it is video podcast. After connecting ipod touch with PC all ok showing like audio podcast. What could be wrong? Sorry if i posted in wrong place.

I already have the Radio Tiesto episode 110 on my Touch (2G), it does not show as video and when I started it running, it played as audio only, as I expect. So why yours should show as video, I've no idea. Episode 80 of the "State of Trance" is no longer showing up in iTunes, so I'm currently downloading ep81, which looks as though it is an audio file. I'll post again if I discover it's not. I already have ep77, but that's on my Classic. However, in iTunes it shows as audio.
So, I've no idea why this should be, although as you noted, it only happens when you download directly onto the Touch. Perhaps you need to report a bug via feedback, sorry, I can't find the page to link to at the moment.
The best workaround for now would be to subscribe in iTunes, let iTunes download them when you are there (but you can set iTunes to automatically download when you are away) and then Sync episodes.

Hi Micki,
I have a TouchSmart 510, so I hope it's about the same Webcam experience as your 610, but I'm not sure.
After finding the HP Webcam in the Start menu and opening it, I see, in the upper right corner of the camera, a little button or bar to click that says Settings, and it's not very big. Opening that I found some settings.
Also, there buttons with a variety of features and on the left is a selection of emoticons.
On my notebook, there is a different version of the Webcam. Across the top, next to where it says hp Webcam, there are a couple of buttons with icons on them, the first is a little picture of a file, and the second I'm not sure what it is, but mousing over it, it says Menu, and in the list is a Settings selection.
I don't know if your camera is one of the two that I have, but I am able to find the settings as I described.
I wish I had a 610 to see exactly what you are seeing.
