No authorization to execute Dashboard

Hi I have the next problem, when I execute UI WebClient and open dashboard the system send me the error (No authorization to execute The Interaction Center Dashboard).
Somebody know What is the problem?

Hi,
While creating a dashboard, there is a step to assign authorized employee, maybe you need to check this.
You may use role ANALYTICSPRO to search for the concerned dashboard, select it, and click on button
"Settings for Sharing" to check whether your user id has been set as Share.

Best way to display executive dashboards on the IPad?

In your opinion, Apple, what is the best way to display Executive dashboards using the IPad?
Our company purchased IPads in hopes that they would be able to display the our Web-based Dashboards, but they cannot. The dashboards render fine in the Safari for PC, but in mobile safari they do not. Is there any way to change mobile Safari's user agent?
Is there any other avenue you suggest?

First, Apple will not respond here. We're all just fellow users participating in these forums.
As to your question, what exactly are these "dashboards"? What technology is used to generate them? If it's either Adobe Flash or Java, then they will not work from an iPad and quite likely never will. If they're being generated by standard HTML and JavaScript, then it's possible one of the other browsers, such as Mobile Opera, might work (though with Opera there may be security issues you'd have to investigate before you adopted that as a solution).
Without more detail as to the site(s) you're trying to access, it's difficult to offer more specific suggestions.

A Dashboard is a fancy name for a window with functionality that suits an executive.
The SDN itself can be considered as a dashboard.
The difference between an executive dashboard and the regular one would be that the executive would see some reports, see his approval tasks, and such in iviews that are configured for his role.
Bottom line is it is all Portal Content Development.

P6 Web - Executive Dashboard

Hey,
I'm having a problem with the informations on the Executive Dashboard, specifically on the Budget Variance.
The data in the column "Actual labor units" on the P6 Web its not the same as shown in P6 Project Management Client Server.
However, when I open the project on the field "Projects" of the P6 Web and I choose to show the same column, the data this time, its the same as in P6 Project Management Client Server, wich means is not the same one showed on the Dashboard.
What do I do to make these informations to be the same of the P6 Project Management Client Server on the dashboard?

MIH1. This should be posted in the P6 forum, not Contractor.
2. A license is required to login to P6, so if you need someone to be able to login, they need a license.
P6 Web licenses are pretty cheap, I'd recommend having one available for those who need view access and then assign it as needed to any users as required.

Executive dashboard vendors

I am looking for recommendations on "executive dashboard" software products that integrate with EP (besides BW).
We are looking to add more visually interesting controls to present data in some of our iviews, for an executive level portal. Standard tables and charts just don't seem to cut it.
I have found several (e.g. http://www.infomersion.com, http://www.businessobjects.com, http://www.cognos.com) but I am not sure what other companies are out there that I should look at. Pointers to the leaders in the field would be appreciated.

Authorization to execute ABAP program

which authorizations you need depend of course on many things.
But if you not will be using the transaction method mentioned earlier in the post you have to extend your own ABAP with own authorization checks.
You can reuse SAP-authorizations or create your own authorizations as well. It all depends on what you are trying to achieve. Some times it is wise to reuse, and some times it is wise to create own authorizations.

Authorization to execute a method of BO

Hello,
The workitem received by an agent goes into error status when executed due to the reason that the user is not authorized to execute the method of the business object. Please let me know the role or the authorization to be given to the user to execute the workitem. The method is a custom one in a custom BO.

Hi Samson,
To rectify this issue you need to get access to the authorization object to execute the BO method.
To do go, execute the method and on getting the error, go to t-code SU53.
There you would find an authorization error message. Take a screenshot of this error and send to your basis team and ask them to provide you toe desired authorizations.

Different authorizations for a Dashboard in a SAP NW BW Portal

Hi everybody,
we would like to use BO Dashboards / Xcelsius in our company. Everything is fine and the dashboards are looking fantastic. Since we would like to publish them on our SAP BW portal I have a question. Given a dashboard with a SAP NW BW connection that is published as an iView in the portal. And we have users with different authorizations. For example there is user A with the authorization to see data from a BW query for departments ABC and there is a second user X with the permission for dept. XYZ.
Is it possible to configure the connection / dashboard in a way that only the data is used for the dashboard in dependence of the authorization at the SAP portal?

Hi,
The person who creates the dashboard should have a BW ID which should have access to all the data required for the dashboard and as well access to EP portal. Else he wont be able to test and validate the dashboard once the development is done.
The BW ID's belonging to the users with which they will access the dashboard, if already created or need to be created , then you can ask the authorization team to extend these ID's to EP System as well as provide the necessary BW Roles, ie access to the related queries and info providers. Once this is done they will have access to EP portal as well as the dashboard and the data displayed will be based on the roles provided to the ID.
For ex User A will only see departments A-D and the User X will see Departments X-Z. You need not write logic for Dynamic Visibility as such for this. Once the roles are assigned to the users they wont be able to see any other data apart from the ones assigned to their ID's.

Run t-code SU53 immediately after you get error msg. I think someone activate digital signature and require extra authorization.

Implement User Authorization to View Dashboard

How if I want to create different views of the one dashboard created with Xcelsius based on the user permissions. Suppose I have 10 Projects information in the dashboard. I want one group of users to see first 5 projects in the dashboard and another group of users to see another 5 projects detail only. It would be very helpful for me. Thanks
Please note that I am using only excel sheet as data source and then exporting the dashboard as html file.

You can generate a user authorisation matrix mentioned which user is authorised to which project. This can either be maintained in an excel or generated in BW which is consumed in the dashboard via queries
Next step would be derive the user ID from flash variable; check the link Username (login) in Dashboards
So based on the authorisation matrix and the user ID captured from the session, you can display only the entries based on the authorisation for the user

Roles & Authorizations to execute the scenario

I need to create the XI Server User ID which will have enough rights to execute the scenario but not to create the XI objects. My workflow is this:
Web Application --> SOAP Adpater --> XI --> RFC Adapter --> SAP R/3
Now in the web application I need to mention the credentials which will post the XML file on XI server through SOAP.
Can you suggest me what roles I should provide to this User ID & I don't want to provide development rights to this user ID with which it can create XI Objects.

But here in this weblog we are creating roles ( for specific S/W components ) & than assigning users to that role.
In my case we need to create a user & assign him with the roles through which he will not be able to create any XI objects in SLD, IR or ID & we are going to use this User ID for our coming applications also.
In other way I just need create User ID without development rights. Do we have any SAP-XI defined roles for this.

when a user start the following path all the fields are not translated.

Where can I found the value of <prt_protcl> <prt_server> and <bi_launcher>.
It works when I start this path with my signon.

the problem was that for the user in the parameter tab for the parameter ID RSPOR_DEFAULT_PORTAL the value was wrong.
