No authorization to read object "ABC" authorization object

Hi,
I created an authorization object and based on that i created a role.I assigned the workbook to role and also the users are added.
when i tried to run the workbook,i am getting the below warning and no data appears in workbok.
"No authorization to read object "ABC" authorization object".

authorization object is created in BI 7.0 or 3.5?
Please check whether the ABC object is authorization relevant or not.
check the authorizations in the role for the other auth objects like S_RS_COMP, S_RS_COMP1, S_RS_MPRO and S_RS_ICUBE.
These are related to query and workbook authorizations.
Hope this would help you. if you are not succeed in these option. go to ST01 and trace the user id authorizations.

Authorization for reading Authorization object

Hi,
I've a query with Company Code authorization variable and a HRU hierarchy node variable which is for one of the attributes of company code.
When I try to run the query with entering values only in HRU variable it gives me following error.
You do not have authorization to read object ZCOCD01 'Authorization by Company Codes 1'
Can anybody tell me which authorization object I should use to read authorization object.

No authorization to read the authorization object

We have implemented (on Bw 3.0B) authorization profiles using 0TCTAUTH and 0ORGUNIT. It works fine, but when an user deactivates the hierarchy (by using the option on Bex), there is an error "Brain 804 No authorization to read the authorization object".
I've seen that there is an Oss note (N 844408 No Authorization after deactivating display hierarchy) and it seems to be a support packages problem.
Is there someone who could tell me if there is another solution to resolve this problem before installing Support Pakage ?

Plz follow the following steps:
1. Create a user (for example for SAP DEV, TEST, or PRD systems).
2. Open the SAP Profile Generator (transaction PFCG) available in SAP R/3 versions 4.6 and above.
3. Create an Activity group (Role since SAP 4.6C), for example ZBODI_ROLE.
4. Enter a description for the role.
5. Go to the Authorizations tab and click Change authorization data.
6. On the Change Role: Authorizations screen, click the Manually,toolbar icon.
7. The Manual Selection of Authorizations window opens.
8. Type in the following authorization objects.
S_ADMI_FCD*
S_BTCH_JOB
S_DEVELOP*
S_DATASET
S_PATH
S_RFC
S_TABU_DIS
S_TCODE
S_RS_ADMWB for SAP BW
9. Click OK
10. Return to the Change Role: Authorizations screen.

Object level authorization for SLT Configuration schema in HANA DB

Hi All,
We have connected SLT with HANA DB (& ECC as source system).
Now for certain users we wanted to restrict the access for certain tables ( tables owned by SLT Schema, i.e schema created in HANA DB with the configuration name provided in the SLT configuration).
With the SYSTEM user object level authorization's of another schema is not possible hence , an error is thrown when we are trying to provide/control the access of single table for a user.
Is it ok that we generate a password for SLT schema and try login with schema owner. Is it the best practice or Is there any other way around.

Can you tell me how to limit a users authorization to create or delete attachements using the object services functionality? We'd like to control the addition and deletion of the attachments. Is there a specific authorization object for this functionality?

Authorization Object C_DRAW_BGR (Authorization Group)
The following table shows authorization object C_DRAW_BGR. This authorization object allows you to limit access to individual documents.
Fields      Possible Values      Description
BEGRU (Authorization group)      0000 - ZZZZ      Used to restrict the authorizations for document maintenance further.
Authorization object C_DRAW_BGR can be used to restrict access to individual documents. It works like a simple on/off switch. If the check of object C_DRAW_BGR is fine, the user's authorization can be further restricted by checking C_DRAW_TCD (check only based on the document type) or C_DRAW_TCS (check of the
combination of document type and status). At the fifth level there is a BADI called DOCUMENT_AUTH01, which you can use to design your own authority check.
Authorization Object C_DRAW_DOK (Document Access)
The following table shows authorization object C_DRAW_DOK. This authorization object controls which original data of a specific document type there are access authorizations for.

Authorization Object:
An authorization object groups up to ten fields that are related by AND.
An authorization object allows complex tests of an authorization for multiple conditions. Authorizations allow users to execute actions within the system. For an authorization check to be successful, all field values of the authorization object must be appropriately maintained in the user master.
Authorization objects are divided into classes for comprehensibility. An object class is a logical combination of authorization objects and corresponds, for example, to an application (financial accounting, human resources, and so on). The line of the authorization object class is colored orange in the profile generator.
For information about maintaining the authorization values, double click an authorization object.
The line of the authorization object is colored green in the profile generator.
Authorization:
Definition of an authorization object, that is, a combination of permissible values in each authorization field of an authorization object.
An authorization enables you to perform a particular activity in the SAP System, based on a set of authorization object field values.
Authorizations allow you to specify any number of single values or value ranges for a field of an authorization object. You can also allow all values, or allow an empty field as a permissible value.

I have 20 charactesr in cube , around 15 have navigational attributes.
i need to give authorizations for 5 objects only .( navigational attributes).
i have 10 reports, i need 2 reports only authorizations relavant.
if i restrict 5 objects authorizations , its effect all queris? in this scenerio i need to create 2 cubes?

As you said you require authorization for 2 reports, you can restrict those Infoobjects with the authorization variables and in the other 3reports use that object but do not restrict to the authorization variables..
So, the user will be able to see whole data for 3 reports where authorization is not used.

Navigate to
system_admin -> Monitoring->
Portal->object_locking->
There you can view your locked pcd object.Just check it and Unlock.
That should solve your problem.

"Adobe Reader Expected a Dict Object Error." Does Anyone Have a Solution?

With the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader XI and Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 7 Professional 32-bit Service Pack1, we are having issues trying to open a machine manual PDF within the web browser. The web page is hosted locally with an Apache web server. Once we click link to the manual, the PDF attempts to download, but then we are prompted with an Adobe Reader "Expected a dict object. http: // localhost/Help/ait.pdf" information dialog box. The PDF then fails to load. Sometimes however it will load successfully without any issues. The PDF is roughly 34MB in size.
We have tried other web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, and Opera) and they do not appear to have this issue. What could be causing this problem? Does anyone have a solution for this? Please let us know.

Reading an Array of Objects from a .bin file!

Hey, at the moment I'm creating a program whereby I write a set of objects onto a bin file, in this case an array of objects with a String name/county, and int population/area.... I'm not trying to read it back from the bin file and encountering trouble! I've managed to get it working using plain objects, however I want to be able to read in arrays of objects. The file itself compiles, however during running I get this error

What happens if there are less than 50 objects in your file?
I will assume CoastalTowns holds info about a single town, so why is it pluralised? Do you have a class called Dog or Dogs, Chair or Chairs, Person or People?

That is these programs comes into picture after the archiving operation.

Your provided transaction "GR55" helped me to find out the program name for a particular group. However, these are just Write and Painter reports.
But can you please let me know the functionality of these report groups ?? what are these used for ???
Do we have these programs for other archiving objects like CO_ITEM,CO_ML_BEL,MM_MATBEL,CO_ORDER,
PP_PLAN,PP_BKFLUSH ??
