No auto contact with iTunes on uploads

I am having a problem with my AppleTV making appearing on my iTunes when accessed.
I am using the newest Airport(N) and an Apple TV in the bedroom. Good signal on MacBook Pro when used there so I know I have a good signal to AppleTV from Airport.
Problem:
When I open iTunes the ATV does not show up.
I download a TV show.
It appears on my library list as completed.
But, it does not upload to the ATV.
I turn APBase off, wait 20 seconds and when turned back on it still does not appear.
I go to Airport Utilities and go through setup. No luck.
Restart Macbook system. No luck.
The only way I can get it to appear and upload is to unplug the ATV and let it restart. Then I get the upload.
This is not fun. It should be automatic.

Update:
What seems to happen after a restart, is that I need to first open Finder, then open Time Capsule and the remote drive. And then I can open itunes and play the music.
But this is a quite heavy procedure, and I didnt need to do this before the ssd installation and clean installation of snow leopard.
So I still hope someone can help solving this, so that I can easily just open itunes and play my media.

Auto-sync with iTunes

Why would my iPhone stop wireless auto-syncing with iTunes when plugged into its charger? It did auto-sync for a while, but does not any longer. Manual wireless syncing is fine.

Another Easier Alternative:
While connecting the iPod to the computer, hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys in Windows (CMD + Option keys on a Mac). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes. The iPod will then appear in the iTunes source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto-sync and then you can release the keys. This action may take between 3 and 25 seconds depending on your computer.
You can then ‘right-click‘ on the iPod icon in iTunes’ source column and select iPod Options, then check the box that says “Manually manage songs and playlists”. You can now manage your library without losing any songs on the iPod.
Note: If connecting to a different computer than the ‘iPod’s Home Computer’, iTunes will ask you if you want to update your iPod and give you an opportunity to opt out. This will not happen if you connect to the ‘Home’ computer – iTunes will auto-sync without warning!. Best to know the difference.

This sounds like you configured the phone to sync contacts with iCloud or with an MS Exchange email account. If you want to sync directly with your computer you will need to disable the over the air sync settings on the iPhone.

IPhone 4s (7.0.2) hangs at 'Syncing Contacts' with iTunes 11.1

There seems to be a myriad of these various syncing issues posted; none of which have been answered and none that are exactly what I'm experiencing.
My wife's 4s (iOS 7.0.2) has been hanging at syncing Contacts on iTunes 11.1 (iMac; Mountain Lion) the past several days. It never gets past "Syncing Contacts".
Doesn't anyone have any advice. I've hard re-booted her iPhone; re-booted the iMac.
We don't have this problem with either my iPhone 5 (7.0.2), her 2nd-gen iPad or her old iPot Touch.
We share the same contacts and calendars across all of these devices and the iMac.

May have solved it so am posting back.
I had tried several times to sync the 4s after turning off the syncing of 'Contacts' (but telling iTunes to "retain" the contacts that are on the phone and NOT delete them). That managed to get through all other sync stages. However it still wouldn't sync completely; again hanging at 'Syncing Contacts' whenever I would turn that feature of the sync process back on.
Just this morning I opted to Repair Permissions on the iMac's hard drive. I noticed severl repairs made to iTunes-related files' permissions.
Tonight on the first try, the 4s synced trouble free.

Multiplication duplication contacts with ITunes - Outlook 2010

My contacts are multiplied by ITunes. I am of use for Outlook 2010 and Windows 7. I do not publish my contact data in ICloud. I synchronize directly with the PC. Another problem consists in the fact that contact groups no more existing are shown on ITunes.
It could be that ITunes archives the contacts of the old groups secretly. If yes, where these data are saved to be able to delete them ?
Or are there other solutions? Nothing takes to the delete the contacts and synchronize new.
The sync-course does not help move this back either. I hope for a practicable solution before I deinstall everything now.

I have a new iPod that I have added over 200 contacts on. Now I have a new PC and need to sync contacts to Outlook through iTunes.
My contacts are not saved anywhere else at this point other than my iPod.

My iTunes is configured to sync all contacts with Google Contacts, and doesn't allow me to select the option of syncing specific groups. The four contacts from my Google Contacs list were added to my iPod, but nothing from my iPod was sent to Google Contacts.

No synch of calendar & contacts with iTunes 11.3

since i accepted updating iTunes to vers 11.3 (on W'7 with iPhone 4) the synch of calendar and contacts doesn' work any more: iTunes seems to synch, but it doesn't change or add anything... :-(

Perhaps it is worth reinstalling. For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
