No Bluetooth devic connected by upgrading to window 8.1 from window 7

I m using Pavilion dm4-3098se, i just upgraded my window from window 7 to window 8.1. Now the problem is my wireless key on the laptop is disable, and i installed all the bluetooth softwares from the HP site for this model, but all in vain. So please help me what should i do to make working my wireless and bluetooth. Please Help me in this case.

Still no reply from HP support. Waiting please help me, as a regular HP costumer.

I had problems with connecting to free Wifi after upgrading my PC(Notebook) to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8. As I travel a lot within europe, I am used to being able to connect to Free Wifi(those that dont need a key or password to enter) but soon after downloading
Windows 8.1 I almost never was able to do this. I'd always get «LIMITED» even though the signal was strong.This was so fustrating,so much so that I reset my PC to clear it of Windows 8.1 and am now back to Windows 8.This is a shame because I was really liking
using Windows 8.1 and if not for this problem(which is a big one) I'd still be using it. If I download Windows 8.1 again from the Windows store what is the probability that I'll have the same problems?

More often than not when a device isn't working it is because the driver has become corrupted. Re-installing a fresh copy should help

Disable bluetooth "Device Connected" and "Device Disconnected" notification

Hi there.
Is there a way to stop the bluetooth "device connected" and "device disconnected" notification from appearing in the middle of the screen?
Logically this notification should be optional and disabled out of the box just like other hardware notifications (network, printer, hard disk etc..).

As you mentioned that you just upgraded the database, so the data is same and schema is same you can connect with the same work schema.
Yes, you can use the same contexts , but need to do Reverse Engineering for your new database.
And about data server, i think you also have no need to create new data server, if hostname,sid and port etc are same as these were with R11(consult with your DBAs regarding it)

X220: Cant Upgrade to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8

Hi all,
I cant seem to upgrade to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8 on my X220.
Originally during the install it states "This application wasn't installed - view details".
Then it states "Something happened and Windows 8.1 couldn't be installed. Please try again. Error code 0xc0000005"
Then it states "Something happened and Windows 8.1 couldn't be installed. Please try again. Error code 0x80246007"'
Anyone have any suggestions?

According to your description, Windows 8 Operating System installed on your computer, right?
Did you update to Windows 8.1 via Windows Store?
If yes, follow Cyber_Defend_Team's suggestion, check if your computer meet the prerequisite.
After that, try to install Windows 8.1 for test.
If the issue persists, according to this blog to troubleshoot:

Unable to connect to Deskjet 3545 via Wireless Direct from Windows 8.1 laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad E530)

Hi, It's a newly bought printer. I am unable to connect to the printer via Wireless Direct from Windows 8.1 64bit laptop. I have enabled the Wireless Direct with security on the Printer. Connected to the Printer SSID from my laptop wifi. Created the new printer from Driver software. It discovers the printer with it's name,IP etc; Upon selecting the printer and click on 'Next' button on the screen, results in a 5 min search process and finally displays that it could not connect. I have tried pinging the printer and it's able to pingf the IP of the printer successfully. I have even tried disabling the Norton antivirus, but result is the same. regards,sathwik

BB8520 keeps dropping my Bluetooth device connectivity

Been using the 8520 for a couple of weeks now. I have two ClearSounds CLA7BT hearing aid neck loops that I use for talking on my 8520. My hearing is so bad, this is about the only way I can talk on a phone other than using the speaker all the time. I switch between the two units as the power runs dry. In other words, I use one until it needs recharging, then use the other while the first one is charging, etc.
Here's my problem: The 8520 will automatically pair with which ever neck loope I turn on, but within 20 or 30 minutes it will drop the connection. I can re-pair it just fine, but it will drop it again just liek before. The one common thing I've found is this only seems to occur when the neck loops have less than a 50% charge in them.
The neck loops are for audio devices with the pairing device using BT v1.2 or v2.1
Just to add one last tidbit of information: Up until I moved to the 8520 a couple of weeks ago, I had been using an iPhone 3G. In the little over a year I used the iPhone I never had this, so I doubt it is a neck loop hardware issue.
Any ideas?

I am not aware of any security feature added to Bluetooth to prevent hacking. There is no setting that you can control as far as Bluetooth profiles are concerned anyway.
What troubleshooting have you tried, besides turning Bluetooth off and then back on? Have you attempted to forget the keyboard on the phone and then put the keyboard back into discovery mode and pair again? Are you having any issues with any other Bluetooth devices failing like this?
Standard user troubleshooting for the iPhone is restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. If nothing helps, then you can make an appointment at the Genius Bar.

OS X crashing on reboot when USB Bluetooth device connected

After a very recent SW update to 10.4.5 OS X is crashing on reboot with a black screen of death when USB Bluetooth D-Link DWB-120M is connected. Crash is systematic if bluetooth device is connected. How do I correct the situation to be able to make use of the bluetooth USB device?

Touch screen active when bluetooth device connects. help!!!

Hi had my z2 for about a month now, very pleased with it so far but there is one issue i keep finding that i have narrowed down.
I keep finding my phone will do random things in my pocket when out and its really frustrating i had tried changing lots of settings todo with the screen as i thought it was when i got a notification it would wake the phone and my leg would simulate screen presses.
That isnt the case however. I have narrowd it down to when i get in my car and the bluetooth connects to my car radio it makes the touch screen active, the screen does not light up but if you touch it as it connects it will wake the phone.
Has anyone heard of this or have a solution (please dont say turn bluetooth off)
its really annoying me and spoils a otherwise almost perfect phone.

The only other thing you can do is change the lock screen security as Swipe to unlock and attatching a bluetooth device like in your car will unlock the phones lock screen

Help Needed :- Upgrading to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8 on W540

I have tried repeatidly to upgrade to Windows 81 from windows 8 and it fails I get the driver power state failure error and error codes 0xc1900101 0x40017 .
After 4 failures , i deleted drivers for Prinfing (pdf / printer drivers etc ) and some others i didn't note tried to do the install and it worked, except the first time i rebooted after logging in , it would not boot into windows 8,1 driver it came up with the driver error messages again and i was given the option to reset to factory defaults and i did.
After restoring to factory defaults i tried the upgrade and it failed again.
So can you help me , in how do i upgrade to 8.1

I would say either you did not understand it well / or you gave the wrong info. If Lenovo Think(Pad/Centre) has Windows 7 Pro downgrade preload (but Win 8 / 8.1 Pro licence):
- user gets media for Windows 8/8.1 Pro included with your Think(Pad/Centre) (I think until December)
- or now you must order it here (free if entitled)

I can't use my USB ports or connect to the Internet after downgrading from Windows 8 to 7

I downgraded my HP Pavilion p7-1534 desktop computer from Windows 8 to Windows 7 today with a Windows 7 Home Premium disk I purchased. I checked online first to see everything I'd need to do, including backing up all my personal files and information to an external hard drive and downloading all my drivers to a USB drive. I followed online instructions and went into the UEFI bios settings and disabled Fast Boot and Secure Boot and enabled Legacy mode. Windows 7 finally loaded and it comes up.   However, my PC now no longer recognizes that I have several USB drives so I can't load my drivers. Also, I can't connect to my MediaCom cable Internet. Does anyone know what I did wrong and what I can do to fix my PC?

Connecting to Mac's external USB harddrive from Windows XP

I would like to connect to my external hardrive, that is connected to my Mac from Windows XP using apple share
From Windows I can see the Macs internal hardrive but not the external one
From the Mac -of course- I can see its external drive
Is there a way to share that drive so Windows can see it through the Mac?
