        csdwarf,
So sorry to hear about the trouble with Wi-Fi! Let's get that working the way it should. Could you provide us some more details regarding where this breakdown occurs? Are you having trouble with turning Wi-Fi on or connecting to your Wi-Fi? Are other devices connecting to your Wi-Fi without issue?

  • Is there any fix for the bluetooth connectivity issue after most recent OS update?

Seems to be a common problem particularly with bluetooth headseat connectivity. Any ideas?

There is no bluetooth connectivity issue after the recent OS update. There may be a problem with your phone, which may or may not be related to the update. A "common problem" looks like this in the forums:
I haven't seen any threads on BlueTooth with over 1.4 million views and over 12,000 replies, or even any vaguely close. For any problem that someone has there is bound to be someone else amoung 150 million users who have it. That doesn't make it a "common problem."
If you tell us what the problem is specifically and what you have done so far to try to resolve it someone can probably help you.

  • Audi AMI bluetooth stopped working after 4.2.1 update

Don't think there is a fix for this, but so others don't run into the same issue...
Seems the latest OS update limits the bluetooth connectivity, i can make calls (iPhone 4) but the bluetooth connection drops after about 3secs, and carries over to the phone. I've tried deleting all parings on both sides etc, but haven't found a solution as yet. everything was fine on previous version, and to some extent it does work still just for 3 secs only.
let me know if anyones found a fix to this, and before i get lots of chimes in about getting the car bluetooth upgraded, i understand that approach, however the os change has stopped this not the car, apple created the issue, they should address, or test such that they can pre-warn etc.

    Hi there,
I have had exactly the same problem on my 2009 Audi A4 with my iPhone 3G which I have just upgraded to 4.2.1, I have tried re-pairing the phone and also doing a factory refresh on my iPhone. If you find a fix, I would be interested in knowing what it is.
    All the best,
    Rich

  • My problems with WiFi after 10.5.8 update (and how I solved them)

Hi, I also had problems getting online after last Leopard update. First I tried to delete all network related preferences (as posted here http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9965959#9965959) but soon the problem reappeared.
I need to connect to 2 different routers, one at home and another at the office. After doing what I said in my previous post (see above), I managed to connect to one OR the other, but not both. I had to delete my home config when I was at the office, and the other way around at home. (i.e. I only could connect when only ONE network was configured in Airport preferred networks).
After some trying, I realized both of my router had their SSID hidden. I then broadcasted my home router SSID and, voilà, everything's fine.
Hope this will help some of you getting around this nasty bug.
    Regards.

Had issues with my WiFi router too, after upgrading my MacBook Pro 13" to 10.5.8. Not sure we're talking about the same issues, but my MacBook connected to my WiFi network, had also a IP address, but couldn't connect to any host, nor on the local network neither outside.
After reading your post I tried to remove the network completely from the list of known networks and to set it up from scratch. Seems it works now...
    Thanks,
    Thomas

  • Why can't I connect to my home WiFi after the 8.3 update?

I have updated my iPhone 6 to the latest iOS 8.3 and now I cannot connect to my WiFi at home, why? I've done a clean install and rebooted my home router and still no connection. However the device does connect to my workplace WiFi.  All my other devices are connecting to home router as well.

Do you get an error message?
Reboot your router again, but this time do it by removing all power for about 30 seconds.
If it still doesn't connect and doesn't display an error, wait 1 minute after selecting the SSID on the phone, then go to Settings/WiFi and tap on the i next to the SSID. Look at the IP address. If it begins 169.254 then it's a router problem; the router has failed to assign an IP address to the phone within 30 seconds of a request from the phone. The phone then self-assigned an ad hoc IP address.

  • Bluetooth stopped working after 7.1.2 update

After the 7.1.1 update my bluetooth does not couple or find my car with my 4s. Any tricks?

    Oh darn.
try a hart reset by holding power and home button till it cycles off, then on again.  Then release button.
if this doesn't work, try resetting the connection on the car, it may think your phone is a completely different phone and will only connect with one at a time.
if nothing works, you may need the dealership to upgrade firmware so the car will recognize your phone.

  • TS1398 Crazy Wifi after new IOS7 iphone update

After updating the phone to the new ios7 , the wifi option keeps going crazy. I checked on some forums and I have done, several times, Reseting network setting (this worked first two times I had trouble now it doesn't) and turning off and on the phone. It never re-connects to known wifi's after I have been away from reach and back again. Please help.
I also have a very low battery life (this might be because I'm not connected to wifi as I usually was before the update). I always close out all the apps and I also keep the brightness at lower than half.
Not very happy with the update so far....
    Thanks!

  • No WiFi after IOS 7.1 update

This morning I updated my iPhone 5 to 7.1 and can no longer connect to ANY wifi.  I have restored the phone to original settings as instructed when connecting to iTunes, checked my home wifi password 100x's, restarted phone, tried switching to Airplane mode, and even went to Target to see if I could connect to the store's free wifi.  All were unsuccessful and I received the same message each time I try to connect to a network.  I have also tried reseting the Network Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings), but nothing works.
My home network shows up in the list, I type in the correct password, and then receive "Unable to Join the network" error.
I've had the phone for over a year and never experienced any problems.  Do you know of any other settings I can change or other fixes?  I've tried all the basic/obvious fixes and don't have time to go in to Apple store.

Softbank does not unlock their phones.  You cannot use the phone in the Phillippines.  Buy another phone.

  • Slow wifi after 10.6.8 update using wnr2000

First time post for a first time Mac owner. I've noticed a significant drop in wifi speed to the point where youtube is not smooth. Using MBPro 7,1 with xfinity blast. Down/Up speeds are 40/6Mbs on ethernet but 3/4Mbs on wifi. As far as I can recall, the only changes ive made are updates to Mac OS X10.6.8 (is this Snow Leopard?) and Parallels for running Windows. Please Help

Note, router is 2.4MHz not dual band, firmware updated/reset to 144 mbps a/b/g/n, channel changed from "auto" to "6" to diverge from neighboring channels, and ipad/iphone speedtest at 10Mbs/5Mbs, more than double MBpro.

  • Can't Access Public WiFi after 10.8.5 update

I can connect to wifi on my MacBook Pro from home, but I can't connect to the Internet through public wifi at Starbucks or Panera. I can connect to their login screens, but not to the Internet. Any ideas?

I am having the exact same issue, it would seem, with my 2012 MacBook Air.
It started following updating to 10.8.5.  I first noticed it when I tried to get on WiFi at a FedEx Office (AT&T WiFi).  The login in screen popped up but never loaded.
I eventually gave up and tethered to my phone.
Later on, I tried to connect at a Starbucks (also AT&T WiFi) and no login screen was launched.  Sometimes I could get an IP address, other times it was a self-assigned IP.
I could also not connect at the adjacent Einstein Bros. Bagels.  Again, no login/authentication screen would launch on the MacBook Air.
This workaround, while a pain, has worked 100% of the time to address this issue.
Authenticate to the commerical WiFi network from my phone
    Turn off my phone's WiFi
Spoof my phone's MAC address onto my MacBook Air
    Successfully access the WiFi network
Unfortunately, I presently have no way of rolling back to 10.8.4, so it looks like I'll be doing this workaround until I either come up with a permanent fix or until 10.8.6 comes out and hopefully addresses this issue.
I have no problem connecting to either open WiFi networks or networks with WEP/WPA/WPA2 security.  Only networks that launch login/authentication screens present this issue.

  • Apple Bluetooth Keyboard Fails After 10.7.3 Update

I updated to 10.7.3 48 hours ago and my Apple bluetooth keybaord does not work.  My Mac Pro system is several years old and does not have an internal bluetooth.  I have been using a bluetooth dongle successfully.  The keyboard goes through the pairing process normally and appears connected in the System Preferences (Bluetooth) application but no characters appear when typing on the keyboard in any application.  How should I start to fix this problem?

I had this problem yesterday. Today, I decided to just turn BT off and back on again, and the keyboard paired successfully. So far, so good.

  • IPhone 5s won't connect to wifi after 7.0.3 update

I updated my iOS last night to 7.0.3, today i can't connect to wifi. All my other devices and laptop are connected to this same network but i can't join on my phone.

Heya risch, what follows are two experiences both I my brother had with this problem. It seems this issue is so widespread that two people can have bought thier iphone from different sources and have the exact same issue, with varying outcomes.
Worst case first, my brothers iphone. He updated to 7.0.2 and found he just couldnt connect his wi-fi. He was terrified of losing all his (over 1000) contacts so he decided to take his phone in to the local Telstra (Australia) outlet. The guys there tried all sorts of things and finally conceeded and sent the phone back to Apple. Apple to their credit did not question or quibble, they sent out a likley refurb'd or new iphone 4s to my brother then next day.
My issue (now solved) was about the same, though I had just updated to 7.0.3, I just could not get wifi to connect. Finally I decided to delete our homes wifi connection from my iphone ie: "Forget Network", then with the details taken off my computer and ipad I rejoined our home network and simply punched in our network password and bang!. It worked.
