No Bootcamp in OS X Server 10.6?

I installed two days ago a OS X server 10.6 and could not find anywhere the boot camp assistant. Where I can download it?

As Niel has already said BootCamp is not part of OSX Server. If you tried to install you'd get a message telling you it can't be installed. I tried this on 10.4.11 Server. Perhaps it's different with 10.6? Somehow I don't think so?
If you want to run BootCamp then a way of doing this would be to use OSX Client which does have BootCamp. Install a virtualization engine such as Parallels, VMWare or VirtualBox and install OSX Server that way. I've done this successfully. However not with OSX Server. I have that installed on an externally attached firewire drive. Works well. What I've done is ran Windows (in BootCamp) and then installed VirtualBox to run Windows Server. All of this on a laptop. In the past I also partitioned the drive further to run Ubuntu Server. As an added 'bonus' I installed BootPicker which allowed me to 'choose' which OS to boot from: OSX, Windows or Ubuntu.

I am having keyboard problems when trying to boot up an OS (bootcamp on Mac Mini Server)

I recently tried using bootcamp on my new Mac Mini Server.
I uploaded a windows ISO Image perfectly the way it asked, Windows 7, I followed the correct steps, euqally divided one of the hard drives, and I was ready to actually set up the new Windows section of my computer. During this booting session, my dog came in the room with her ball and knocked the computer plug out of the socket. Now when I turn on the mac, the fan still works, the same Macintosh sound comes up, the screen turns that usual very bright gray, but it stays on that gray. After a minute or two, the screen turns black, with a blinking underline, as if it were confused to choose which operating system it has to boot.
My problem here is that I use a wireless keyboard (not by Apple) -- and I suppose that bluetooth syncronizes with the OS and not the computer system itself -- so my keyboard commands do not get recognized in order for me to navigate into Windows 7 or OS X Mountain Lion. I tried solving this problem by purchasing a brand-new USB keyboard (since Mac Mini Servers do not have the PS/2 entrance). I guess this new USB keyboard didn't work, I imagine, either because the USB slots on the machine are not recognized by the computer's internal system, only by the Operating Sysytems (which I hope isn't true), or that the mac had never used that USB Keyboard and wasn't going to be capable of using it until it had installed the necessary drivers, but without the OS running that would become impossible.
So my question is: Is there a way that I can connect a keyboard to the mac so I can continue installing my alternate Operating System? Is it maybe another problem all together?

It is starting to sound more like Bootcamp failed to install properly.

Using BootCamp on 2010 MacMini Server

Before the putdown for misusing a Server, please listen. I bought the server for it's hardware, not to use as a server.
I have posted the following on another thread I started in "Using Your Mac Mini" but get no response. I am hoping those better acquainted with the Server might know the answers I am after.
To Quote my own thread: "I would like to get input from people having ideas on using BootCamp Assistant on the 2010 Mini Server to install Windows-XP to the unused second harddisk. I copied BootCamp Assistant from my 2009 MacMini Client computer to the 2010 Server and it seems to be a free standing application. It did format disk 2 for Windows, but apparently Fat16 because the Windows installer wants to reformat to NTFS. Windows installer shows two disk0 to choose from, both showing as Master Boot Record. It doesn't show the 1st disk which has the Server Operating System installed on it. I don't understand why it is showing two disk0 when there is just one disk formatted for Windows showing in Disk Utility.
One of the shown disk0 is just one 500gig partition, and the other is showing a 200mb first partition followed by a second 500gig partition. both show as Master Boot Record.
Also when Bootcamp Assistant formated the 2nd harddisk did it install the necessary files into root to boot the Windows formatted harddisk?
Anybody have any ideas on that? "

You're centrally looking for Microsoft Windows help, and the Apple Server Forums probably aren't the best spot for that knowledge. Consider posting this in a Microsoft forum, and looking for help booting Windows XP on an EFI box.
To get a Boot Camp configuration available on your Mac Mini Server hardware, reformat the disk and load Mac OS X client on the box, or use a virtual machine to guest the Windows platform under Mac OS X or Mac OS X Server. That'll get you closer to where you want to go today.
It's been a while since I have last checked this (and I moved off of Windows some years ago), but Windows XP didn't know from EFI, and expected BIOS. And part of the Boot Camp stuff and what various VMs will get you is a BIOS-like layer.
Or you might try something of a more recent vintage, like Windows 7, which did reportedly have some support for EFI available.
But it'd be best to ask Microsoft about Microsoft. And see if XP can even do EFI. And I'd expect to see FAT32 (technically FAT28, last I checked) or NTFS for a 500 GB drive.

Does bootcamp work with Win Server 2003

Lots of variations of my question out there without a clear response.
Does a 2008-2009 MacPro 8 core run Windows Server 2003 (any version) with bootcamp?

Apples BootCamp does not support any kind of Windows Server OS http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1899
However, since the W2K3 is a parallel development with XP at least the 32-bit W2K3 version should be installable and supported with BootCamp Drivers.
64-bit XP is also not supported by Apple.
But it might require quite some handy-work from you to succeed.

Bootcamp with Windows 2003 Server SP2

First of all I've got a bootcamp installation of Windows 2003 Server SP2 on my Mac Mini 2Ghz Core Duo, but until now I can't get the following:
- installation of Bootcamp software in Windows
- drivers for video and bluetooth
If some one can give me help on getting the correct software/drivers for this.

go to services window and set all your Oracle services to automatic instead of manual. this will start your database automatically rather you start it manually

Bootcamp, XP SP2 & SQL Server 2000

Hi there
I just setup Boot Camp and installed Windows XP SP2 without any problems.
However when I tried installing SQL Server 2000 (Enterprise Edition Evaluation copy) it seems to get stuck installing, however Windows does not indicate the installer is not responding.
In addition, I am unable to uninstall what is installed. After a few tries installing, I am able to start and stop SQL Server via SQL Server Service Manager, but Enterprise Manager reports an error when it starts up and I cannot see any server to connect to when running Query Analyser.
Any help would be much appreciated. I was wondering if the fact I am doing this on a Core 2 Duo might be the problem.

Can i install bootcamp on mac mini snow leopard server 2010

hello,there are 2 harddisks on a mac mini server 2010 (snow leopard server.)i want to use the other hdd for installing Windows home server 2011 x64 .
but there is no bootcamp on the server.(do i have to download it?)
how can i do this,or do i have to use parallels desktop.
i have also a mac mini and a macbook pro and an alienware and a clevo laptop so i want the 2 servers seperate(and the mac-server on all the time)

You would need to install SL (non sever) on you Mac Mini Server.
You may be able to install the nonsever version on your 2nd HDD
-Partition you 2nd HDD to the max BootCamp Partition
-Install Windows Home Server on the BootCamp Partition (don't know of Windows Server is supported)
So you would have:
hdd1 - SnowLeopard Server
hdd2 - SnowLeopard (non-server) + Bootcamp Partition
Scenario 2:
If you don't have a need for SL Server SW, then wipe out the system and put only the regular SL (non sever) on disk 1. Partition Disk2 for Bootcamp only.
hdd1- SL (non-sever)
hdd2 - Bootcamp
I really don't know if you can copy the Bootcamp app onto SL Server OS to create a Bootcamp partition.

Does Lion Server have bootcamp? I'd like to ugrade my Mac Mini Server with Snow Leopard Server and my MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard to Lion but the install for the mac mini will be a pain to do Lion so I was thinking of doing Lion Server for both, so I don't have to pay for both Lion and Lion Server, but I'm wondering if I can do bootcamp since I couldnt' do bootcamp for Snow Leopard Server?

Which is Lion Server. I don't see it so I doubt (just as in 10.5 and 10.6 Server) if Apple are going to make it part of OSX Server anytime soon? Still, you never know?
Prior to 10.7 you could download VirtualBox (it's free to download) and install 10.6 Server (and pretty much anything else but not OS X Client) quite happily:

This may still be the case with 10.7 Server? What you could try is install 10.7 Server, install VirtualBox and install 10.7 Server (again) as a virtualised server. Apart from licensing I can't see why this would not be possible? Why don't you give it a try and let us know how you get on?

I have the 2011 MacBook Pro 15" 2.0ghz Quad Core i7 with integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 and AMD Radeon 6490M.
I just installed Windows Server 2008 R2 (Which is based on Windows 7) using Boot Camp. After I installed it, the I only have 3 resolution options, all of which are stretched. I checked the device manager and found that the Apple Instal DVD did not work and only a "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" was installed. It also reports a whopping 16MB of graphics memory
I downloaded the "detect and install" driver utility from AMD (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx) and it detected my correct OS and downloaded something (driver maybe?). When I clicked install, I recieved this message: "AMD Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on your computer. Your computer does not contain a proper graphics adapter."
I don't really know why Windows does not detect the graphics card. Right now I am trying to install the Intel graphics drivers for the Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics... I will report back if I get the integrated graphics running...

Benefit and limitation of temp table in sql server 2008

I have a datagrid in front end of asp.net . when user select a row it shows another gridview (multiple row ) where user have to put some data. when user click CLOSE button i have to keep all data of 2nd gridview in reference with 1st gridview row id.
Same process for each row of 1st gridview. If i will keep all the record in a datatable in view state and finally save the data in database table when final save is clicked then the process may be very slow due to large data in view state. So i think to store
data in temp datable in database for each CLOSE click. For this porpose which temp table i should use
1. Local temporary tables
2. Global temporary tables
3. Normal tables.
Multiple user may do the same thing same time. Please help me.

When used in stored procedures, local temporary tables (#table) are automatically multi-user.
For global temp (##table) & normal tables, you need to develop your own mult-user logic.

30 M rows in SQL Server 2008 R2- View or Table for faster performance

I am creating a SSRS 2008 report that currently is using a view. It's a view made out of one table and is not indexed.
There are 70 some columns that I am displaying in the report with 10 or so parameters that I am passing through a procedure from SSRS to SQL Server.
When the report runs in Server or in development mode, the report gets out of memory error - which could be a totally different issue as it is trying to bring in a couple million rows amd runs for 15- 20 mins.. and errors out.
My question is if it is sourcing a single table, will a view be better with the right index or a table with index.
Clustered, non clustered? Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated.

What is the exact error message?
In SSRS you can use a stored procedure with parameters as data source. You can use a query in the sp, you don't need a view.

Indexing not likely to help you. You have a huge return set problem.

Install multiple version of SQL Server on a same machine, both with default instance?

We have an almost idle server (windows server 2008 R2) with SQL Server 2008 Enterprise with default instance. We would like to port all the data, install SQL Server 2012 developer edition and use it as testing server. Is that possible we still choose default
instance name on 2012 developer version? Do we have to shutdown or uninstall the 08 Enterprise? If we keep both versions running, does SQL server 2012 have to choose a named instance? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Named Pipes provider, error:40 could not open a connection to sql server. Only happens on one of the front end SRS servers

when testing a datasource connection I get the following error.

I've read all the posts on this and nothing works. This is a scale out deployment and the connection
works from the other server I have setup with SRS that is connected to the same backend SRS databases. It just doesn't work from one of the SRS front ends. I'm at a loss.. please help

Enable both named pipe and TCP communications.
Make sure client is using the same (named) pipe name as server for connection.

Pass unicode data in SQL Server 2008 stored procedure parameter

I want to pass unicode data in a SQL stored procedure. But I am not sure that how to append N with NVarchar datatype.
For example I Create a table LocalizationTest and wants to insert a few records.

VALUES(N'123 Illini Dr, 東皮奧里亞, 8989')
the above given statement works.
To explain it more , script A works but script B does not work.

What is the correct way to execute script B because @X will be passed in a SQL Stored Procedure?

If you do not pass the value as a Unicode value there is nothing left of the Unicode characters but question marks. Once this has happened, AFAIK there is no way to undo it (other than resetting the value as Unicode characters again).
