Hello Alexander,
you will have to create BP for organizational units.
Please follow the method to do it
1. In transaction Maintain Business Partners (transaction BP),choose Business Partner -> Create -> Organization
2. Choose the role Sold-to Party
3. Choose the Address tab and enter the address data for the sold-to party
Choose the Sales Area Data button,select a customer group
and then save ur entries
Follow this method and let me know

Reassignment to new Org.Unit & Position

Hello Everyone,
I have a requirement to reassign a Business Partner (Associated with Central Person) to a new org.unit & a new position in the organizational Model. This should be done using a FM. I would like to know if there are any FM's which can be used to reassign a BP from one Org.Unit to Different Org.Unit and a differént position.
I am able to create the relationship using FM *OM_CREATE_RELATION_WITH_DIALOG*. But relationship has to be reassigned to different org.unit & position. Let me know if any one you can help me with.

Hi,
You can generate the required report from reporting tool HIS. select the org structure for which you want the report to be generated.
In the graphical view select the org unit and in the reporting window select organizational plan and select staff assignment as task function.

Adding New Org Units to Existing Organization Structure

Hi,
There is a change in the Org Structure, i.e we are adding new Org Units(Personnel Sub areas) to the existing Structure and creating postions to the newly created Org Units using PP01. Now my question is what are all things need to be configured with respect to Payroll, for the newly created PSA.

Please be more clearer. PSAs are not org units. PSA belong to enterprise structure, whereas Org Unit belong to Org Structure. When you create new positions under the Org Units tht have been assigned to a PSA, PA, Company Code, Cost Center and Controlling area combination, you would have to set the following.
Group your PSA for,
Primary Wage Types
Premium
Work Schedule
Time Recording
Absence Attendence Type.
Assign Tax Area to a PSA(If it is US Payroll).

First, let me confirm that you are on JDE World, and not JDE Enterprise One/One World. They are very different environments. JDE World is normally a green screen, IBM Client Access based system.
If you are on a JDE World menu and you have the proper security access, just type in UDC on the command line and hit <ENTER>. You hopefully are in a test environment when you do this, since it sounds like you have very little knowledge of JDE. The UDC screen will come up. If you know the system code and code of the UDC table you want to look at, you can key them in and bring up that table. Otherwise, do F5. That will let you search by system code and see what table codes are available in each system. If you are not sure what UDC table you need, you can look at the JDE data dictionary for the data item you are interested in and that will tell you the UDC table, if the data item is UDC based.
As for setting up new business units and company, get to the main general ledger menu. Don't remember the exact path, but you want to get into the setup/define menu for general ledger accounts. There will be separate options there for maintaining companies and for maintaining business units. You want to play with this in a test environment before you do anything for real.

I have a very common requirement in SAP HCM ABAP development.
For an Org Unit, how do we get all Reporting Org units(Also employees reporting to the sub org unit) & Employees ?
I have tried using RH_STRUC_GET_MULTIPLE_ROOTS and RHPH_STRUCTURE_READ, but the evaluation path is insufficient to get all objects under it. I tried with both O-S-P and O-O-S-P evaluation paths and as per some constraints, I can’t create a customized evaluation path for a reason.
I am using PNPCE database for user selection screen and user would be advising the Org unit. I even referred the standard transaction ‘S_AHR_61016495’ which is using PCH logical database.
I would really appreciate if anyone could provide a solution for this. (Rewards guranteed )

Although I could not respond in time, thank you so much for your prompt reply.
I had used the same RHPH_STRUCTURE_READ and passed the appropriate values to it, but it did not populate the required results. I cross checked the results manually, may be some relations issue. But later I tried using RH_STRUC_GET_MULTIPLE_ROOTS and it worked fine.
Meanwhile I had done a workaround with PCH and RH_STRUC_GET and it served the purpose of getting all the Org units, it’s reporting sub-org-units, positions and persons (The deepest structure from the root org unit advised on selection screen).
The solution I used is, I captured the org-units advised on selection screen by user using PCH logical database and then by looping on sub-org units reporting to the main org-unit I populated related positions and persons holding them and assigned it to the PNPCE logical database.

How we can create relationship between Org unit and Task Catalog in Organisation management once we grouped all the tasks in one group.

Hi Team,
Is it possible to maintain Profile (PD) for an Org Unit. I would like to maintain location preference for at Org Unit Level.
In this process I would like to maintain that for each Org Unit Level. The standard functionality doesnt support for this. Is there any Custom developement or configuration to make this happen.

Hi Sam,
If you are very sure that theres no standard functonality then you may follow these steps.
1. SAP has a object type "F" as Location.
2. Create Objects for the Object type F.
3. Create ZRelation ship for e.g. A901 (Works for location) and B901 (Is location for).
4.Maintain the relationship for the Object Type in Transaction Code "OOVK".
Note: create 2 records for F -> 0 as B901
O -> F as A901.
5. Now you are ready for mainitaining the relationship between the 2 object type Orhunit and Location.

when creating the org.model for each org.unit one BP is generated. wt is the purpose of generating BP for each org.unit.

the purpose behind creation of BP for each org unit is to use that for the working inside the org
see the BPs are created inside the system using three:
person
group
org
and then we differentiate them on the basis of the roles
so when BP is generated for particluar org it assumes the specific role and later on the same role will work according to the rules determination inside the org
else if you want to specify the attributes inside the org ,how would you be able to work around in the absence of BP
see the thumb rule of CRM is that each and every iondividual is BP here ,so same goes here that if org has to fucntion then employees and customers should be there inside it so that something goes determined
and if BPs are not there how would u achieve that

Infotype 0027 is the standard solution for multiple reporting / multi tasking in SAP.

Two Chief Position for an org unit

HI,
In PPOM I am unable to view two chief position for an 'X' org unit. I have checked in other 'Y' org. unit ( having similar attributes) and there two chief positions are displayed. The validity period and other relationship in both the org units are same.
Can any suggest on how the two cheif positions are displayed for X org unit. (The client is stating that when Y org unit can display two chief positions then why not X org unit).

What is the error or message that you are getting?
By default SAP allows an Org Unit to have multiple Chiefs assigned to it. Are you able to manually assign the relationship to that position via PO13?

Duplicate period appearing in German when creating new Org Unit in PPOME

Hi Guys,
My users are encountering a problem when they create an Org. Unit/Position in PPOME.
Whenever a new Org. Unit is being created (lets assume with the validity date of 01.11.2006), an earlier period would automatically be created, thus making the object having 2 periods.
Upon clicking on the "Select Period" icon for the object in the Detail area of the screen, 2 lines of periods are being displayed.
When i view the second period, i would see the correct details of the Org. Unit that was keyed in by the user.
However, when i view the first period, the details are all on German language (this record was not created by the user at all).
Therefore, i checked the tables T528B and T528T, i found duplicate records for certain Object IDs. It seems the Org Unit that was created by the user is being appended after the Org Unit that is in German.
Any ideas on how to clean up those lines of data that is appearing in German and prevent such an occurance from happening in future?

I followed your instructions but i am unable to detect anything out of the ordinary.
I'm compared the configuration in Development again Production and they are the same.
However, the problem i described in this thread is not appearing in Development. It is just happening in Production.
Any other ideas?
It's not really affecting my client's business process but i would like to know what is causing it out of curiousity

Empty start validity date for an org unit

Dears!
some time ago we discovered a disturbing issue in Productive data. Some org units have an empty start date. I have no idea how it could be created by users, but now we need to solve it.
The records with empty start date are visible in PP01 only in Display mode.
The program RE_RHBEGDA0 (New start date) doesn't help. After running the new record for an object is created but there is still remaining the record with empty start date, but with shifted end date...
Do you have any idea how to solve this?

Hi,
You are right - user definitely couldn't create it. Probably you need to ask you ABAPer.
I can suggest you to try to copy original record and replace empty start date with valid one: PP01, IT1000, copy, change start date, save.
