  • Is there any in build access security feature in apple tv? I am using this device as a service for my client and am afraid third party would cut in and display other contents.

    I am planning to ofgfer the apple TV services for my client in a number of room. I know that apple TV could be set with different ID/label to differentiate them if I am, installing multiple device within the same wireless coverage SSID. However, how do I prevent intruders cutiing in with some other contents while my client is doing the presentation? For example in Room A, client A is doing the video opresentation vioa his Mac book Pro. there is always a possibility that some people with OS X Mountain Lion detect the device and decide to play a prank and start to push other contents to the Apple TV device in Room A. If the device could provide an authentication feature, there will actually resolve my concern. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks Richard

    Hi soo.richard,
    You say it could be intruders cutting in - same problem/solution as for any network I think. Access can be password protected or access limited via MAC address filtering. I'm not sure how Apple Tv works with a hidden SSID but that would be another option.
    Airplay itself can be password protected through the airplay settings.
    I'm not sure if Apple TV works with other authentication such as a password but maybe the manual will assist with this?
    Hope this helps.

  • Building version control features with CF

    Hi,
    I have a client with a wiki that I built in ColdFusion, and they'd like to be able to do collaborative document editing where changes to documents are tracked. I've seen this type of thing in Word, where changes get highlighted and you can see old and new text. I don't think it needs to be that fancy in terms of how changes are shown, since they're just using CKEditor to enter content, but they would need to be able to see what was changed, when and by whom (currently logged in user). I would make the documents in their final form downloadable as PDFs.
    Anyone know of any version tracking type applications built in CF? Looking for code i.e. a CFC that I can re-use. Also curious how this sort of thing gets saved in a database, currently I just update the existing document record, but with version tracking each time an edit is done do I have to re-save the entire document as a new record? That could eventually eat up a lot of space in the database, but the alternative is just saving the changes to the document and that seems overly complicated--I'm not even sure how it would be accomplished.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    For 10.1.2 the process is explained here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/papers/10g/gettingstartedwithcvs.pdf
    In 10.1.3 it is more automatic - JDeveloper automatically recognize files which are candidate for adding to CVS.

  • Overlaying adobe air sdk 13 in flash builder 4.7

    After overlaying adobe air sdk 13 in flash builder 4.7 I have followed the step mentioned on adobe site.
    i am getting lots of error in flash builder 4.7 after overlaying.
    Can anyone please suggest me how to get it done for flex mobile project.

    You are probably missing the updated flash debug player that describes all the new methods to the application.
    There is a good walkthrough of how to upgrade flash builder to a new library version, this is described in the first video of hsharma's starling tutorials.
    Its very annoying though, i wish adobe would really build in a feature like this to update libraries.

  • Managed Review And Approval SA build Failure

    Folks,
    I have installed ILOG Elixir 3.0, and Flex SDk 4.0 from flash builder.
    When i try to build the components i get the following error. I have copied the reqired swcs from ilog folder to the rca lib folders.
    I have tried with flash sdk 3.5 and 3.2 also but no luck.
    I installed workbench and did not see the flash sdk in the workbench folder, i could only see an empty folder and hence i resorted to point it to the flash builder Flex SDK 4.0

  • IPhoto Card Builder and Ordering Service Troubleshooting

    Created an invitation card with photos using iPhoto's build a card feature.  Completed the project and clicked "Buy Card."  Went through the payment information window, then submitted the order.
    The charge went through just fine, but on project upload, a window pops up saying order could not be completed at this time.  "Weird," I think to myself, so I try again.  This time, another window pops up saying there was an error uploading the stuff.  There's an option to cancel the order, and I do and try again.
    Looked at my bank account and now I have $300.00 locked up "Pending Authorizations."  Called Apple and they said that it should be 3-5 days for the money to unlock.
    My question is:  Why does Apple charge you first, then try to upload your project for print?  Would make sense to upload first, then charge, since I'm not the only person with this problem.  Like a dummy, I tried to do just one, and what do you know?  It went through.  So, out of 50 total cards I need for an event coming up, I have one on the way.  I pray I don't have to click 49 separate times just to get my **** cards.

    This is strictly a user to user forum - no one here can answer "why Apple' does anything

  • Adjusting Images in Smart Build

    I have a series of images set in a Smart Build, and I want to adjust all these images (contrast, saturation, etc.). When I open Adjust Image - I can't make any changes to the smart build images. Does Smart Build enable this feature? I could just adjust them all in Photoshop, save the jpgs again, and drop them back in...but I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that.
    Please let me know as soon as you can - I would appreciate it so much!
    Thanks!

    Have a look here. Only workaround I have found is to re-do the build. Send feedback to Apple via the Keynote Menu.

  • Can you use Flash Catalyst & Builder to make an AIR app?

    Hi everybody,
    I am looking to create an AIR application and wished to use Photoshop & Catalyst for design and Builder for development but I came across a problem. When I import my catalyst file (.fxb) into Builder, it goes straight into a web application and does not give me a choose to make it into a desktop application.
    Is this not possible? Or is there some other way to do this so that my catalsy file becomes a desktop project (AIR-RIDA) and not a web project (RIA)?
    Thank you all in advance,
    IrishAIRMax

    Flash Catalyst only generates web projects (Flash Builder imports exactly what it gets from Catalyst).  However, Flash Builder has a feature that allows you to convert a web project to an AIR project.  After you import the project, right-click it in the package explorer, and then choose Add/Change Project Type > Convert to Desktop/Adobe AIR project.
    Once you have converted the project to a desktop (AIR) project, you will want to change the Application element to a WindowedApplication element (in the main MXML file).

  • New Story Build (1062) is now available

    Hi all,
    This is to inform you that we have posted Story new build 1062 to production.
    Please clear your browser cache before logging onto Story.
    Also if you are using the AIR application, please sign out and upgrade it to the latest build.
    New features in this release:
    You can create schedule workspaces, which are sets of view settings that you can reuse across schedules. These settings include:
    Column width
    Column sequence
    Column visibility—whether a column is hidden or visible
    Strip colors
    While comparing schedules, in addition to viewing set and character conflicts, you can also view set group conflicts.
    You can export visible or all columns in a schedule as a CSV (comma-separated values) file. You can then use a spreadsheet application, such as Microsoft Excel, to open the CSV file.
    Instead of creating the Studio Recording Order from schedules, you can now create this report using the Shooting Order Script report

  • PDE headless build - repoBaseLocation not including while compiling

    I have an ant script to build my feature (PDE Headless build). My feature is having dependency on a external repo which is present in my local system (c:/folderx/repoBase).
    To compile my feature against this external repo i have provided the values for repoBaseLocation and transformedRepoLocation as below
    repoBaseLocation = c:/folderx/repoBase transformedRepoLocation=${buildDirectory}/transformedRepos
    When the "pde-build" target executes, the transformed repo's are present in the "${buildDirectory}/transformedRepos" directory, but the compilation fails with the following error - "The method methodX() from the type Classx refers to the missing type ExternalClass".
    where - Classx is present in my feature. ExternalClass is the class on which Classx is dependent.
    The external repo folder contains the folders - binary, plugins, features and artifacts.jar, content.jar
    And my "pde-build" target is as below:
    <java classname="org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.Main" fork="true" failonerror="true">
    <arg value="-application" />
    <arg value="org.eclipse.ant.core.antRunner" />
    <arg value="-buildfile" />
    <arg value="${eclipseLocation}/plugins/org.eclipse.pde.build_${pdeBuildPluginVersion}/scripts/build.xml" />
    <arg value="-Dbuilder=${current.dir}" />
    <classpath>
    <pathelement location="${eclipseLocation}/plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_${equinoxLauncherPluginVersion}.jar" />
    </classpath>
    </java>
    When i build a different feature, which doesn't have dependency on the external repo, the build is successful.
    Not sure what i have missed. Can someone help me to resolve this compilation issue?

    Do you have a target definition file (.target extension)?
    I use target definition file and and I can configure there local repos, containing artifacts.jar , content.jar like yours and repos located at update sites, like http://download.eclipse.org/releases/luna.

  • Dreamweaver Owners: what's your version & build #?

    Hi,
    With a Creative Cloud subscription, I use Dreamweaver CS6 — v12.1 b5966.
    Is this the same version and build number used by owners of Dreamweaver CS6??
    You see, I opted for a subscription instead of buying Dreamweaver CS6 because the latest update patch was only available to Creative Cloud subscribers.
    I feared this practice was a sign of things to come -- that, from now on, people who pay up-front for a license to use Dreamweaver indefinitely will always be deprived of some features.
    Now that several months have passed, I'm wondering if this is still the case.
    I'm hoping that maybe Adobe has decided to just release updates to subscribers first, but eventually releases all updates to all paid customers -- owners as well as subscribers.
    But according to Adobe's feature list for Dreamweaver CS6, subscribers are still treated better than owners.
    The webpage promoting Dreamweaver's features hasn't changed at all for many months, though. So I'm wondering if it's even current. I'm hoping it's not.
    (Adobe no longer posts detailed version histories or release notes -- with build numbers, dates & descriptions of each bug fix & improvement or change -- so it's not so easy to know what's going on with the software.)
    Anyway, I'm wondering if we -- Dreamweaver CS6 subscribers, and Dreamweaver CS6 owners -- have the same version and build numbers, or not.
    Thus, if you own Dreamweaver CS6 (own a license to use Dreamweaver CS6), then please:
    1. Click "Help" > "Updates" to make sure you have all available updates;
    2. Click "Help" > "About Dreamweaver" to learn your exact version and build numbers;
    3. Post the version and build numbers here, and specify that you indeed an owner of Dreamweaver CS6, not a subscriber or trial user.
    I'm only asking one person to do this. That's all. Thanks!
    (If we do have the same version and build numbers, but you want to dig deeper as an owner, then go to the features page, and see whether your copy of Dreamweaver CS6 actually has all the features ...or not.)
    Steve
    PS: If we learn that subscribers and owners still do not get equal treatment (equal versions and builds with equal features and equal bug fixes), and if you do not think this is fair, then please let Adobe know.
    PPS: And if you switch products, then let Adobe know too. It's because Adobe has a monopoly that it takes customers for granted, and thus refuses to provide detailed product release notes, or adequate tech support, or products that have all features fully updated.

    @SnakEyez: maybe (I only mentioned CS7 in passing) but David Powers commented in a forum post last year that his latest mail was that Adobe might be quietly dropping the idea of .5 releases due to end user confusion.
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4769029#4769029
    Be really hard to follow updates if 6.1 and 6.2 are free updates but 6.5 is a paid-for upgrade then 6.5.5 and 6.6 are free - but only for 6.5.x customers - and so on.
    But then end users understanding of Adobe's version numbering is not exactly clear cut now - even without .5 numbering thrown into the mix - given the existence of this very thread,
    And then try finding Release Notes for each point release for every product......and then Adobe makes major menu changes in Cloud only DW mid-cycle dot releases.....
    I've always felt that Adobe was digging a confusing version numbering hole (which feature is in which version?) since the Cloud was announced. It's a bit of a mess all round in my view. Someone needs to hit the reset button and start afresh.

  • XCode 3.1: Build and Go doesn't start application

    Hey.
    I just installed XCode 3.1 and it seems like the "Build and Go" Feature doesn't work. If I click it the application gets built but is NOT started automatically. I have to do it manually each time, which starts to get reeeal annoying.
    Is there anybody else with that problem? Does anyone know how to solve it?
    Thanks in advance

    Are you running the Spanish version of Win 8.1, Conisus?
    Have you tried resetting preferences (http://adobe.ly/Ty949V), disable any third party plug-ins and/or launch the software in a new user account with admin rights? http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-windows.html# main_Common_solutions
    If the basic troubleshooting steps don't work, would you mind to gather a copy of the crash log, paste it into http://pastebin.com and share the url? You should be able to locate the log by launching the Event viewer and search for the application crash logs of Illustrator.exe. Thanks!

  • Building a tv viewing software on PC based on analog TV tuner card

    hi,
    Is it possible to build a full featured TV viewing Software on PC instead of set top box that can work over major analog TV tuner cards. TIs it possible to make a software that can handle both analog and digital source.
    One example of analog viewing s/w is dscaler. It is an open source software from sourceforge based on C++. What is needed to built that same in java. Is there any current initiative going on in this area?
    The JMF player in latest JMF 2.1.1 have the capability to show tv but only that much. i have an analog tune card (pixelview). JMF layer capture command can show a perticular channel but I did not find other finctionalities like changing channels, sound levels etc in it.
    Can any body through some light on this matter.
    TIA,
    Soubhratra

    The JavaTV API only handles digital TV services, not analog. For controlling analog TV services from a TV decoder card, you would need Java wrappers for the underlying drivers for the card. If the manufacturer hasn't developed this, then you'd need to do it yourself or see if anyone else has done it.
    Steve.
