'No Caller ID' - Is there anyway to Block these calls? Via Apps, DND etc?

I have a number that is continuingly harassing me, so I used the iphone block function, which worked perfectly.
However they have now discovered that by hiding there number, the calls will come through, which to all intents and purposes renders Apples 'Block Contact' function next to useless. - They are also still able to leave messages.
The iphone is obvious smart enough to realise the caller is doing so from a withheld number as it displays 'No Caller ID' thus is there anyway of blocking these calls?
Can I set up my Do Not Disturb? to filter this out but allow my contacts to call? If so how? Is there any Apps available? -
Any help prior to me changing my number or reporting to the Police would be appreciated - Thanks

1. When I type or click on things I get haptic feedback, the phone vibrates. I really like this. Is there a way to do this on iPhone?
No; just the keyclick if enabled.
2. Android has a window shade that can be pulled down no matter what you are doing in order to get easy access to emails, texts, etc. Is there any way to do something like this?
Put Mail and SMS on the bottom row, then one press of the home button will get you to them. When finished, a double-press of the home button will let you get back to your previous app.

On a mac, when you save docs to icloud, a local copy is also saved.  It's saved at:
    ~/Library/Mobile Documents
Note that Library in the user's home folder is now hidden, so you'll have to set Finder to view hidden files.
The Mobile Documents folder has subfolder where copies of the doc/data files are stored.
If the file(s) are no longer there, then use your Time Machine backups to get copies back to the mac.

I have a macbook white (Snow leopard), just started using mac, Is there anyway we can use the Iphone Apps( downloaded from ITune) on Mac, they are getting saved in Mobile applications and have ipa extension

The operating systems for iOS devices and for Macs are completely different. Applications written for iOS won't run on a Mac no matter what fiddles you try with it. You can sometime extract data by opening the package, but it still won't do you any good. Look in the Mac App Store in your Applications folder to see if there are Mac versions or similar programs (iTunes login required).

  • Is there anyway to get bank of America app if using Canadian account

I have tried downloading Bank of America app, but as from Canada am using Canadian account. is there anyway around this

Not if the B of A hasn't chosen to release the app in the Canadian iTunes Store, no. You can only use the iTunes Store of the country you live in (or at least in which you are physically present and have a valid mailing address in).

  • Is there anyway to view from iTunes which apps are on my iPhone right now?

I was wondering if there is a way to see what apps are on an iPhone right now. I can see purchased items from iTunes, but would like to see what apps are currently on the iPhone.

iTunes running, your phone connected, tap the "Apps Tab".

  • Is there anyway to block numbers?

I have someone who keeps texting and phoning me, and i want to know if theres any way for me to block their number.
i really dont want to have to change my number and go through all the hassle of having to give out my new one, because of some **** that cant leave me alone!
does anyone know how to help me and prevent my phone from being thrown against the wall!

AT&T does offer this feature as part of it's Smart Limits feature which costs $5/month. See: http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/articles-resources/parental-controls/smart-lim its.jsp
It wasn't so easy to figure this out. I had to do quite a bit of googling and sifting before I did. Once I got it, it was a snap to buy and set up.
I wonder why this was so hard to do. Shouldn't it be easy for the phone itself to block calls?

  • Is there anyway to block text messaging to my iMessage.

I don't have texting added to my provider contract and need to prevent some folks from texting when they don't have an iPhone. Otherwise I get charge for just receiving message solicited or not. Please provide any assistance possible.

This has nothing to do with iMessage.
You need to contact your carrier regarding blocking all SMS/MMS with your line/number. This won't prevent you from exchanging iMessages.

  • Is there anyway to bring the old music app back (pre IOS 5 update)

It is not user friendly at all.  Even my 7 year old does not want to use the ipad as a music player anymore:-(  Apple please review this....really it worked great before!  Have you ever heard of ...If it aint broke dont fix it.  Thanks

These are user-to-user forums, they are not monitored by Apple (there are too many forums/threads/messages for that to happen). If you want to leave feedback for Apple then you can do so here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • Is there anyway to replicate these Android OS features on iOS?

I have an HTC Incredible Android phone that I like very much, though I am considering switching to iPhone. There are a few things I really like about Android that I am wondering if there is a way to replicate on an iPhone through apps or some other way.

  • I deleted Iphoto & Pics, Is there anyway of restoring these by going to the Apple store?

I was trying to restore the Pictures and accidentally emptied trash.  Can Apple support be able to help us restore anything?  We had not yet backed up on time machine.
Please help, otherwise lesson learned the hard way.

If you emptied the Trash and don't have a backup, the files are no longer accessible. They have been deleted from the filesystem and and the blocks on the disks, where they have been stored, have been recycled as free space.
What kind of image files are your files? Jpeg, raw format?
If your disk is not too full, you may be lucky and not all recycled free space has been overwritten. Then recovery software may be able to restore some of your photos. If you want to try that, stop using your mac, so prevent it from erasing even more disk blocks and run a recovery frogram. For example
    Disk Drill: http://www.cleverfiles.com/
is quite good at restoring deleted jpeg. But the program is not free, you will have to buy it, after you tried it and have seen, what can be recovered.

  • Is there anyway to manage my ipod via a Google Chromebook?

Ever since Apple released iTunes for Windows there has been a clammering for a version of iTunes in Linux. So far it appears Apple has resisted doing that. There justification is too small of a market share for Linux.

  • Is there anyway to stop iCloud from sharing apps and contacts between devices?  I have 3 iPhones, ipad2 and a Macbook and now all of the contacts from all 3 phones come up on everyones phones and the iPad.  We have one iTunes acct.

I was told I would have to set up 3 separate iTunes accounts, but is that the only way?  It has been very frustrating b/c I don't need my husbands or daughters contacts on my phone.  And anytime one downloads an app, it pops up on the other devices.  I like the intent the cloud, but it is getting frustrating to manage all of my devices individually.
    thanks!!

Without separate accounts and IDs, how would you imagine or manage different people?
I assume that they all have their own separate login accounts for Mac OS. They should. But that isn't enough if all the household iTunes are under one ID, they would get mixed into one ID in the database.
Was it though through far enough? probably not. Getting the cloud concept working seems as far as it went with more work to be done to handle devices, IDs, and accounts, and to avoid just this mess and mishmash.

  • My iphone 5 was sent for repair and all my photos where cleared from the device. Is there anyway to retrieve these back?

So my iphone 5 had water damage, I sent my phone for repair backed up all my photos onto my lap top. Somehow my laptop got cleared of my photos and when my I phone was returned to me it had been cleared of all data as I was told. I was wondering if anyone new a way of getting these back through icloud or backup? They are all my baby photos of my daughter and I would be so happy if I could get them back! any help much apreciated.

    Photos in photo stream...
You can log into your iCloud account on another computer or device and enable photo stream to see your photos. You should do this as soon as possible because photo stream in the cloud only keeps photos for 30 days and each day you delay, you will lose another days photos.
    Photos in the camera roll...
If you kept a back up of your device you can use it to restore to a replacement device, this will restore all of the photos in your camera roll and isn't time limited.
