No cloud symbol behind songs

Dear all,
Behind some of my songs in the itunes library there is no cloud symbol displayed. The cloud status there is just blank. Can anyone tell me if these songs will be uploaded or are they just completely ignored by itunes match? This is for about 10k songs the situation. My library size is around 14k. The strange thing is that Itunes match says there are currently around 10k songs available in my cloud. So my question is, why is itunes not showing a symbol?!
Thanks for your help!
Image for better understanding:

Once your songs have been processed by iTunes Match there will be no icon in that column. To enable the iTunes Status column pull down View > View Options, select "icloud status" and click OK.

  • Songs on my phone but with cloud symbol in music app

    Hi,
    first time, first question.
    iphone 5s 16GB
    iOS 8.1.3
    MacBook Pro Early 2011
    MacOS Yosemite 10.10.2
    Question:
I have iTunes Match and i have this problem since a few months.
I download songs of any playlist on my phone and then some songs are still having the download(cloud symbol) or after while it happens.
I know that iOS delete songs if the storage reaches it's limits but i tested it with more than 1 GB free space.
The songs are download completely - i checked the iTunes Store App but only a few are then available(i turned on airplane mode and the songs which aren't really downloaded are grey) in the Music App.
When the Download is happening the symbol seems to complete the download and then starts new or the cloud symbol is coming back - it's endless but after a while the songs are gone in the Itunes App Download Section(List is empty)
The weird thing is - if i check the storage settings where i can download particular songs or audiobooks etc. - the songs are THERE as available songs ready for deleting!
I also deleted the playlist and created a new one - no change some songs are there
I have this problem since i have itunes match, first the deleting from itself and now this - a while ago i wiped my iphone clean and installed everything new(no backup) and also i turned of itunes match on my Mac and my iphone.
    No Change.
    Thanks for reading.
    Greetings

  • Grey songs, black songs and the cloud symbol on iphone

in my music library on my iphone with ios7 songs that i have purchased appear in grey with the cloud symbol next to them.I understand that this means they are in the cloud and i could download them, however there are also some songs that have the cloud symbol but are not greyed out what does that mean?
When music is playing on shuffle it will sometimes select one of these songs. am i being charged for data when it does that?
I turned off "use cellular data" in the itunes settings menu, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore.
    Try all of these.

You must have a counterfeit iPod since that latest model sold by Apple is the 5G.
Assuming y have a 5G with iOS 7, that means those songs are available for download via iCloud. To download just tap on the song/icon when an internet connection is availalbe.
Of yo do not want those to show, go to Settings>iTunes and App Store>SOW ALL and turn off Music.

Welcome to the Apple Community AppConf.
Tap the cloud icon, they will download to your device.

  • I have random songs in my Ipod app that have a cloud symbol.  How do I remove them from my library?

Ever since I purchased an iphone 5s, I've had random world music songs in my ipod app.  They have a cloud symbol next to them, and I can not delete them from my library on the phone.  They are not in my itunes or anywhere that I know of.  How do I get rid of them?

Those are songs that are on your purchase history of your media content; so in a sense they aren't really there on the device or taking up space.

I've just connected the ipod to my computer and checked the music on the iPod. The album that I am having trouble with shows an exclamation symbol next to it. I've tried deleting the album from iTunes and re downloading it then syncing but it doesn't appear to affect the information shown the iPod. The album neither deletes nor updates.

  • No cloud symbol shows next to album list when albums are still stored in the cloud on itunes using iphone5 and IOS7

Despite all the information online indicating that when my music albums are stored in the cloud, and not downloaded, there are no cloud symbols next to album list. However the cloud symbol does appear when I go to individual song, or track lists. I cannot 'swipe' the entire album logo in order to upload or download entire album.

They are off the phone. The cloud shows they are available. If you do not want to see this, then go into Settings>Music and turn off Show all music.

  • New cloud symbol in iTunes 11?

In the top left corner of the screen, immediately to the right of the Music content selector, there is a cloud icon in iTunes 11.  It's probably obvious, but what does this icon signify?  Simply that some of my iTunes content is in iCloud?  Thx

    >The cloud icon means you bought those songs from the iTunes Store, but they're
    >not stored on your computer.  If you play them, they'll be streamed from Apple's
    >servers -- hence "iTunes in the Cloud".  If you click on the cloud icon, it'll
    >download the song to your hard disk.
Hmm, since I never use streaming, I wonder how that happened.    I looked at the first song that I have with the cloud symbol.
It is "Alone Again Naturally", so I did a search on that.
The cloud version doesn't have my rating, the composer, nor the lyrics, but is shown as last played 11/30/12.    The two other copies have my details, and are shown as last played two different dates.   One of the other copies shows up as "purchased".
I'm wondering if these are songs that I purchased back when they had DRM and then upgraded when they removed the DRM.    Ahh, one kind has "Apple Lossless audio file", the one in the purchased folder has "Protected AAC audio file", and the cloud version has one has 'Purchased AAC audio file".

  • TS4124 Red cloud symbol

I have no idea how some of these songs got on my phone. They have a red cloud with a black arrow pointed down (the normal cloud symbol, just red). I plugged my phone into iTunes and it doesn't show that they're on the phone, but clearly they are. I can't delete them from my phone using my phone. Help!

You'll probably have to delete all your music, then sync it back using iTunes to fix this.  To delete your music, go to Settings>General>Usage, wait for the apps list to open, then go to Music, tap Edit, then tap next to All Music.

  • Whatt\ does the cloud symbol with dotted line mean?

When I uploaded a cd of mine to the cloud with iTunes Match, I seem to have uploaded only a majority of the songs and not ALL of the songs.  When I go to my iTunes library, I find that there's a cloud symbol with dotted lines.  Why is that?  Also, what should I do to make sure that all of the songs are uploaded into the cloud?

    This helped me....Thanks.
It's a pretty straight forward thing that I should have thought of myself.
Match updated, Match now downloading the few songs that have been 'waiting'
    I'm a happy bunny again..

  • HT1689 I'm seeing a cloud symbol with a down arrow.  What does that mean?

On my Iphone (4S) after downloading IOS7 I'm seeing a cloud symbol with a down arrow next to songs loaded on my phone.  What is this and what can I do with it?

These are songs you have purchased from the iTunes Store, but haven't actually synced to the phone. You can tap the cloud icon to download these songs directly to the phone, but make sure you are on wifi unless you have unlimited data.

  • Cloud storage / Purchased songs won't play

Previously when I bought albums and songs wouldn't play, I deleted then re-dl'ed from the cloud but that option is not available anymore. What do I with songs that won't play? And do we now have to pay for cloud storage?

You can redownload songs (depending upon what country that you are in) via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage :
If the songs don't have the cloud symbol next to them then how did you delete them ? If they tracks are still listed in the Music part of your iTunes library (e.g. you just deleted the actual music files from your computer, not from your iTunes library) then delete them from there and they should then get the cloud symbol against them in Purchased (click on the cloud to download them).

  • In I06, I have no way of knowing which songs are on my iphone 4s vs being stored in the cloud. There used to be a small cloud next to songs that were not downloaded. This was important to make sure I had the music I wanted when in an airplane.

In the new i06 that I just loaded into my 4s, I have no way of knowing which songs are on my iphone vs stored in the cloud. There used to be a small cloud next to songs that were not on the phone. This is an important piece of information if you are a frequent traveller, as most of the flights I am on don't have onboard wifi, so it becomes a crap shoot as to what I will have available to listen to.
Is there a way I can view what songs are actually stored locally?

Go to Settings > Music and set "show all music" to OFF.
