No Clue Where This Is Suppose To Go. Camera, iPhoto, USB. Have Fun.

I got a new digital camera a few months ago and my MacBook Pro would pick up the camera just fine using iPhoto and I could upload the pictures on to my computer no problem.
Now, not the case.
Now when I hook up the camera to my computer with the USB cable that came with it, iPhoto won't pick pick it up, and when I checked to see with the software that Canon sent with the camera to see if my computer was even picking it up, it said that there wasn't a camera attached.
I tried different USB ports, restarting, plugging the camera in and then it on, and visa versa.
I know it's not the USB cable because my PC will pick it up and upload the pictures.
Does anyone have a clue as to what the problem could be and is there a way I can fix it?

Have you checked the applications folder?
To quickly find it on the top right press the spotlight button it looks like that image
and type in Mail it should appear in the spotlight list, click it to launch mail or alternatively right click it and press open enclosing folder to find out where it has vanished too

Suddenly, I am unable to add photos to my project in Imovie 11. I have an IMac Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and have made several movies where this worked fine but for some reason, it has quit. Everything seems to be working fine except that?

I'm an oldtimer and have had this Mac for less than 2 yrs and have LOTS to learn - but I've climbed the curve a little. !'ve made several movies and published to YouTube and burned to disc using IDVD with reasonably good results. Each time I have added stills to my movies it has worked fine - but tonight, I'm suddenly unable to add them. I click "Photos" - select my photo - left click the photo and drag into the project while holding the click. Have the green "+" and the green highlight and even get the green vertical bar in the project but when I release the click, the photo simply disappears! One "clue" here may be this: I was able to add one still to this project and the only diff between it and the other still thumbnails now is that there is a "green check mark" on the thumbnail of the one successfully added. Any suggestions? (I do have the "advanced tools" option selected in IMovie Preferences.)

My first thoughts are
• iMovie ill behaving - Trash the iMovie pref file - use to set things right
• in reg. to Photos - Did You change iPhoto Photo Library - Then iMovie get's lost as it peeks into iPhoto on start up to see where photos are stored. Set iPhoto back to first Photo Library (when iMovie is not running) then start iMovie.

What do you mean by "where is getting populated"?. AS you mention is getting populated right there, under the Manage Session screen. It takes the server date and time.

On my system Preferences my Mac shows me MobileMe where iCloud is supposed to be. I want to connect my Mac with my iPhone and everything says that I should go to System Preferences/iCloud, so how do I fix this?

If you're trying to sync the device with your iTunes library, you can do it without upgrading the OS.
If you need the iCloud pane, you need to upgrade the computer to at least 10.7.2. Open the Mac App Store and try downloading Mavericks. If you get told it's incompatible, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Xeon or Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) CPU and 2GB of RAM, and if it does, click here and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
Back up your data before upgrading. Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC programs such as Microsoft Office 2004 or earlier.

Playhead won't play where it's suppose to play

I have a problem with the audios that I am trying to match with the video. Sometimes while editing, the playhea just won't play where it's suppose to play. I think there is bugs or something about the software. Have any one run into this problem before. I need help. Thanks

Problems with keys on mb air - @ not where it´s supposed to be

hi there, my brandnew mb air has issues with it´s keys : the @ is not where it´s supposed to be (under G) but under the L and other keys have moved as well.
i bought it in switzerland only a few days ago and the Keyboard features things like œ Ä and other - is there a fix for this ?

Sometimes that happens
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music

My iPhone is a 16GB and it says 9.0GB Available and 3.7GB used; I suspect the missing 2.3GB is occupied by the system software.

Entourage will not sync with iCloud, not now, probably not ever, time to change.

After upgrading iTunes I can no longer play my songs. It says that "The song ________ could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" I have NO clue where to look.

The above links also illustrate the Media folder and its subfolders. Look for a file in there in the logical structure by folder artist and album. If you're lucky, linking one file will get an offer to link others and it iwll all come together again.
I see you are running OSX 10.5.8 it would help to know which version of iTunes you use now and which one you used before.

Can't access a website I use every day...the server where this page is located isn't responding :-(

Hi, I am trying to access the website bloglovin.com which I access everyday (as part of my job) with no problems, however, the last 2 days I have not been able to get on to the site. After waiting for ages for it to load I eventually get the message ' the server where this page is located isn't responding'. I've tried to access from both my macs and my iphone and I get the same message on all of them. Is this a problem with my mac or their server?

I did infact get it working earlier today by putting the IP address into the browser instead of the URL and it solved the problem, however, I now have the same problem again tonight. I've tried restarting the router and it hasn't made any difference. Putting in th IP address isn't working this time either!

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more. And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should. On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much. I will post a note in the app store to let them know. I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again.
