No color on screen, cannot get to menu
I just received an ipod 4gb nano. the first day it worked fine, last night itunes would not recognize my ipod. I went through all of the Rs, reinstalled itunes, etc. Nothing! Now, after using the 3-23 update, my screen has no color and says "ok to disconnect" even though it has been disconnected. I try all of the solutions on this page, but it appears that my problems are just getting worse. Please advise!

In itunes, pressing alt to display the menu bar totally worked for my windows running machine but I CANNOT get the menu bar to show in itunes on my imac. what's with that?
You got me experimenting ... and it was viewing the display with the green button (rather than amber) on the left that revealed the menu bar. Hovering didn't do it. Thanks for your help. First time in Apple Support.

With "Mac Mail" I was able to get email on my Nook Color. I cannot get email from iCloud on my Nook. Is there a solution?
To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them. -
Cannot get a menu screen on appletv box
I Have an apple3 tv box. Hooked it up last night and it worked fine. Today when I turn the box on the only screen that comes up is a picture of the back of the apple box and a USB cable. I cannot get to a menu screen. I have rebooted everything several times.

Restore your Apple TV
To restore your Apple TV, follow these steps:
Unplug the HDMI cable and power cord from your Apple TV.
Open iTunes on your computer and make sure you have the latest version.
Connect the Micro-USB cable to the back of your Apple TV and to a USB port on your computer.
If you have an Apple TV (3rd generation), reconnect the power cord. If you have an Apple TV (2nd generation), leave it unplugged.
In iTunes, you should see the Apple TV summary page.
If you don't see the Apple TV summary page, click Apple TV in the upper right.
Click Restore Apple TV. While it's restoring, don’t unplug anything. The time it takes to restore your Apple TV depends on the speed of your Internet connection.
When your Apple TV has finished restoring, unplug the Micro-USB cable and power cord (if connected), then reconnect the HDMI cable and power cord to your Apple TV.

If you restored your Apple TV and still see the 'Connect to iTunes' screen, you might have a hardware issue. You can take it to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help. If the Apple TV is out of warranty, you might have to pay a service fee to diagnose or replace it.

MacBook Pro (Late) 2008 running 10.8.4
I was using my computer every morning as I do everyday with no issues. I had left home for most of the day. Closed lid and while I was gone for a couple of hours. I returned home, opened my MacBook and nothing but a black screen. I've tried many things all evening try and fix this problem out of "safety sleep mode, and other similiar tricks that other people had tried.
I still have a Black Screen and cannot get my macbook out of what seems to be the sleep mode.
I've done a master reset and after I restart, I do get the power up chime but still a black screen. I don't know what else to do. Please help. Should I bring computer to a local repair shop or is there something I can do to fix myself. I just don't know where to start.

When I click the left menu button, the screen gets lighter and in the top left corner is a small box with a standby icon inside it.
How do I bring back the menu to when the menu button is clicked so the box no longer appears?

I found the place to tick Menu toolbar but no toolbar came up.
The Restore defaults toolbar thing doesn't have the options I want (File, print, help etc)

The only "Firefox symbol" I see is the one with the blue fox 'spanning" a red globe. Neither left or right click brings up options.

I have been using an external Iomega HD for back-up. It has stopped working automaically ( I have used disc utility to verify and repair the disc). I get a message that disc was unable to back-up. Mac help describes a menu which appears when you click on the Time Machine icon that includes the option to "back up now". This menu does not appear when I click the icon. What can I try next?

Please help, I cannot get play menu to work after using dynamic link.
Ok. So I sent a video from premiere pro to encore using dynamic link. Then I created a menu in encore and dragged video to play button I created for the dvd. However, when I burn the dvd, the menu is not a part of the DVD. I do not know why this happens when I use a dynamic linked video. It does not happen when I use other videos. Please help. Thanks Matt
You need to set the menu to be first play.
If you create a timeline before you add a menu, the timeline becomes first play. If you set the end action of the timeline to the menu, it will eventually get there, but that does not appear to be what you want. -
Getting message "Checking device" everytime I try to copy and cannot get to menu.

After clicking print the menu that comes up does not allow for a change in paper type. Where can I change the paper type. OS 10.10 Yosemite with Photoshop Elements 13. I have a windows computer with the same program and the print menu has a paper settings option but not on the the mac. What gives. Is the Elements 13 not compatible with the OS 10 Yosemite? Thanks for any help
If you delete all the Adobe Reader stuff it will probably fix this. For almost everything, the Apple pdf handling works better.
