No communication expert as a volunteer or AI?

The process of questioning + slow mobile on a speed smartphone is that annoying that i beg you to leave out as much garbage as possible.
1.
The distance between : "...... link below ..." and Q button is too large and at first not present by slow
2. Push to forum is too heavy (distracting frm concentration too). Offline prpe a Q seems unevitable.
3. Orange bar atop same colour as Android progress' bar' (a line!) Is not that clever.
4. Using AI for proper Q management ?
5. Pls remove all useless ware in BG, they swallow battery and are annoying.
6. Marketplace app works not offline, it pops up maasively to go online. Pls do not use that MSFT style discommunication. They think that the center of screens is theirs but i havr nearly left behind ffox for that behaviour. Look at Nokia, don't step in the same traps.
7. A nice ffx game , working, small, offline, is destroyed by pushmaniacs updatingupdatingupdating to a system set ' unknown sources =no' and yes made no difference!
8. I wld expect ffx android 10x as speedy as DT version. WHY NOT ?!

No problem. I get a little chuckle over the whole thing because you responded in the first thread with "this is a perfect example of what can be done with custom triggers". And I thought to myself who would use this with "show thumbnail" doing a similar thing but on the fly and the very next day someone wanted to use it. I think its great though and glad to be able to help. It also helps me dig more into ADDT code which I like. Changing that create folder code I used to use ADDT's code was a nice little challenge for me as I didn't totally understand the usage of classes. Now I get it. :)

I really need help with this - I have been trying to get this

I am attempting to use components in my flash movie, but when
I test the movie, none of the labels show up.
The components are placed into a movie clip that is
instantiated and manipulated at runtime - in other words, it exists
only in the library and is called into existence at runtime through
the attachMovie method.
On the side of the screen are buttons that make this MC move
around the screen.
These components I am trying to use are not being rotated,
just moved (because they are inside a MC that is being moved). I've
tested this and have determined that moving a component at runtime
does not cause the text to disappear - only rotating it does.
If you need it, I have uploaded the
source
file
. Just run it and you'll see the component - with no text
displaying. The rows should be labeled "1" "2" and "3".
If you get this far (downloading and looking at the source
fla) I will go the distance here and point you directly to where
this object is located. Simply open the fla's library and double
click on the
searchAreaContent
movieclip inside the
search panel
folder. You will find the component in there. Thanks in

I did not download your zip file however, when you load

child clips, they can lose their functionality. Instead, load

Any experts on embedding a video in a page?

I have created a video that I would like to embed in my
website. My goal is to have the video actually play on the page
automatically and have a button to click for sound.
Currently I have a link to a page explaining that a media
player is required and a link to download a media player but that
seems cumbersome;

OT One for the msSQL experts - getting the database to do the work

I need a little advice on how to use either a function or
stored procedure
to handle some update work.
Basically I am building an application where customers are
assigned points
values based on the products that they have bought. In the
Orders table a
value is assigned to each order and I can get the total
points per customer
by running the following Select statement
SELECT Cust_ID, SUM(Order_Points) as PointsTotal
FROM tblOrders
WHERE Status_ID in (3,5,6)
GROUP BY Cust_ID
What I then want to do is the take the number for each
Customer and update
the value in a field called Cust_Points in tblCustomers.
I could simple write this to a dataset on the page, loop
through it and run
an update statement for each customer, but given that I am
using msSQL I am
sure that there is some way to write this whole action inside
of a stored
procedure or function and then just call that to handle the
work.
I am using ASP.Net C# for the pages.
Any help gratefully received.

What you need in this case is a trigger.
You'll need to add an INSERT and/or UPDATE trigger to your
tblOrders table.
Which one you need (or if you need both) depends on your
workflow. I notice
you're only counting orders with certain status values. If an
order can be
inserted with one of those values, then you need an INSERT
trigger. If an
order gets one of those values on a later update, you need an
UPDATE
trigger. If either could be the case, you need both.
Your basic outline is:
INSERT trigger: if status is in (3,5,6) then add points to
tblCustomer.
UPDATE trigger: if status has changed from something other
than (3,5,6) and
is in (3,5,6), then add points to tblCustomer. If status has
changed from
something in (3,5,6) to something NOT in (3,5,6), then
subtract points from
tblCustomer. If status has not changed or does not change
"groups" (for
instance, was 3 becomes 5 or was 0 becomes 2), then do
nothing.

Server. These
should get you the knowledge you need. If you've got specific
questions
about the trigger afterward, then I'd suggest opening a new

But what I want is the ability to make changes to a template,
upload JUST the template and have the files on the server get their
structure etc from the template - WITHOUT having to download all
files in site, then apply template to pages, then reupload pages. I
know it can be done - I have seen it done.

Not much, print it using you printer (it's should be not far
from your
computer: Have a look around and if you find something with
paper inside,
that's the printer). Put the papers in a folder and send them
to Someone at
MS (You don't need to put a name: Usually it's Mr. Gates the
one who uploads
the pages himself, but I'm sure there are lots of MS experts
that will be
glad to help with the job).
Just a reminder: if your pages need to be uploaded as soon as
possible,
don't forget to put some extra Air Mail stamps on the
envelope!

I have decided to ditch Visual Communicator as an option.
Apart from the poor support, I have tested the Trial version and it would not make sense to use the application in its cirrent form.
In a ten minute period using 2 cameras as a test, the application froze and crashed four times. Not acceptable as reliability is crucial.
The test was done on a Windows 7 64 bit machine with 4 physical Xeon Quad core 3GHZ processors and 32 GB RAM with a 2GB Graphics card, so performance was not the issue.
the application is just not stable.
I am getting better support and results from both Wirecast 4 and Cutfour.

ICR Contact persons details- Communication method by default set as Remote

While maintaining Contact person details through FBRC010. The communication method by default it is picking up as
Remote mail, it is same in user profile also, with this setting when we tried to send the mail using template through
FBICR3 or FBICR1. mails are not going to the intended user.
When we changed the user profile from Remote mail to Email, mails are going, But i understood that from ECC6 onwards
the mail type in user profile should be kept as Remote mail. if we change it to Email, our concern is users might not get
mails from other source.
Is there any way to come out this situation please.

ICR simply uses SAPOffice standard functionality. Details about sending options would have to be answered by a basis communication expert. I'm glad you were able to find a workaround but if you would like to have a different solution you may want to ask somewhere else...

Communication Components for Flash 8

Hi Guys,
I need to develop a Flash file which has communication
components in, I tried downloading the components for mx2004 which
was released in 2003 but it tells me that I do not have Flash
MX2004 installed.
I don't but I do have flash 8 installed.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the
components for Flash 8?
Or if you have the components installed under mx2004 could
you mail them to me?

A crossdomain.xml file should do it. It's not the server,
lots of domains
can be on the same server.
If your Flash is on domainB.com and you're wanting to get
data from
domainA.com, you'd need a crossdomain.xml file on domainA

Problems with SCORM 2004 communication

I'm developing a SCORM 2004 Compliant LMS. And with contents
developed using Captivate, if you close the content window
intermediately after finishing the quiz, the lasts interactions are
being lost.
Debugging the JS execution, I can see that the commit
function is called some time later after the user answers the
question, and if you go quickly from one question to the next, the
commit execution, and the SetValue to add the interactions, starts
to be delayed more and more... then when you get to the end, if you
close the window, the pending changes are not executed.
I tried to delay the window close, until the finish function
get executed... this works, but with some contents (for example the
"Random Quiz" that is included with Captivate 3) the user have to
wait 5 minutes!!
I take some measures, and is taking 18 seconds from when the
user clicks the submit button, to the commit function get called,
what is happening?
The SCORM API implementation is very simple, and is not
throwing errors.
Any help and ideas will be appreciated.

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for you. Best I can
suggest is
take this up loudly with Adobe Support. We have two customers
with the
exact same problem in our LMS. Like you, the only solution we
can
suggest is to ask the user's to wait...which in this case,
since the
lesson has several questions, means about 10 minutes!
We did get Adobe support to look at the lesson and they
reported no
