No computer visable in Computer window of Apple TV

This is driving me crazy. I turn on Apple TV (second generation v.5.0.2(4250). Next, I go to Computer and get this message: "To Access your iTunes Library on Apple TV, turn on Home Sharing in iTunes on your computer using "xxxx @somewhere.com". This IS activated on my iMac running the latest Mountain Lion OS X 10.8 (12A269). Then in the Home Sharing window in Apple TV, the message is: "iTunes Librarys that have Home Sharing turned on using "[email protected]" will appear in Computers. NO THEY DON'T! There is nothing in the Computers window on my Apple TV. I'm hoping there's a setting I've overlooked. Last night I reset and reinstalled. NG, still the same!

Seems like I have the exact same thing going on. I installed MLion on my mid2011 Air (which is supported for Airplay mirroring) and fired up my ATV Gen 2 - which wanted to update it's software to 5.0.2, which I allowed, and now my ATV con not see either of my itunes libraries - one on 10.7.4 and the one on MLion. The MLion Air machine does not see the ATV. I checked the Network connections and Apple ID/PWS combination and all are in good order. The ATV works fine on it's own for streaming form the internet, but can't see the computers for some reason.

A bit later I discovered that Photo Stream was not working on my Windows 7 PC either. If I opened the iCloud control panel and put a check in the box to turn on Photo Stream, and then closed and reopened the control panel, the check mark was gone again. Also, nothing happened when I clicked on the options button beside the Photo Stream check box. I already had version 2 of the iCloud control panel so I could not upgrade further.
I ended up uninstalling the iCloud control panel, rebooting, downloading a fresh copy from Apple, and reinstalling it. This worked and I now have photo stream working on my Windows 7 system as well.

Well if you use the Finder Go menu to Computer, a window opens up double click on your boot drive and then on Users folder, open the other user folder and open Public and drop your files into DropBox
When you do this it will copy them and change the permissions and user assigned to it, so log into the other user and place them into your respective normal folders.
Once you have all your files over and don't need the old user, use System Preferences > Accounts to delete it if you wish, however it's good two Admin accounts on the machine in case something bad happens in the other. Some people for security reasons on use a Standard account for most uses and a emergency Admin account.
One can still do most Admin things in Standard user.

How can I transfer from iPod (16GB) to new computer (Windows 7) without erasing iPod?

My old computer (Windows 7) died and I have a new computer (Windows 7). I had my iTunes library backed up, but I can't get it to work on my new computer. Is there a way to transfer what is on my iPod Touch (16 gb) to my new computer without losing it on the iPod?

Ipod nano not being seen by computer, windows, 2000...

after over a week on the phone and attemting to get my computer to "see" my nano, and not being able to do so. and after going thru every trouble shooting guide given to me by apple i did get my nano to work.
I used every usb port but two, the two off the mother board, when i used one of them the nano took off and worked liked it was susposed to do, so...... you people who have this problem or know others pass the word use the mother board usb ports. nothing else.......

It sounds like you are unable to see your contacts in the phone, but have confirmed they are still at http://www.icloud.com. I would next try these troubleshooting steps from the article named:

If you're using iOS 7, quit and restart the Contacts app on your iOS device:
Press the Home button twice to see preview screens of the apps you have open.
Find the Contacts preview screen and swipe it up and out of preview to quit the application.
Tap the Home button to return to your Home screen.
Wait a minute before reopening the Contacts app.
Turn iCloud Contacts off and back on:
Tap Settings > iCloud.
Turn Contacts off. Choose to delete data only if your data exists at icloud.com/contacts and on one or more of your devices. Otherwise, choose Keep Data.
Wait a few minutes before turning Contacts back on.
Restart your iOS device by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and then swiping the screen when prompted to power off. Then turn your device back on. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.

I find it easiest to download my purchases directly to my iPhone. You don't even need to connect your iPhone to iTunes. As long as you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase the items, you will not be charged.
You can find the steps to do this under the section titled "Apps, Books, Music, Movies, or TV shows on iOS" in the following article:

Your computer could possibly be running in selective startup mode where any nonessential services are disabled temporarily until a restart. Can't get my iPhone5S to show up in My Computer (Windows 7)

Can't seem to get my iPhone5S (OS 7.1.1, left 120MB storage) to show up in My Computer (Windows 7) for file transfer. Whereas another iPhone5S can show up in my PC's My Computer; and my own iPhone can show up on another PC's My Computer. My iPhone is also able to connect to iTunes. The issue eventually resolved itself, I still don't really know why. I kept up with Windows update, and attempted downloading iTunes again from the Apple website, and it just... worked. It now works fine. I don't know why it took approximately 4 months to work, though.
I'm sorry I don't have any more helpful information. Posting here was my last resort, and clearly Apple never bothered to reply.

You cannot buy anything from the iTunes Store until you authorize the computer. Are you unable to authorize it? If so see the following:
Authorization
Macs: iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
Windows: How to Authorize or Deauthorize iTunes | PCWorld.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.
