  • W can I bring over my contact Categories from Outlook 2007 to my iphone 4s?

How can I bring over all of my contact Categories from Outlook 2007 to my 4s iPhone?  All of my contacts have synced, but I have nearly 1500 business contacts and need to be able to filter them down by Categories as I do in Outlook.  Is there a way to do this or an app?  I am coming to the iPhone from a Windows Mobile platform that automatically brought the categories from Outlook to that smartphone.

Sync old iPhone 3G to iTunes on your computer. Then connect new iPhone 4S to computer and Restore from Back-Up of the 3G. This command can be found, on Windows you right mouse click on iPhone name in left column of iTunes, on Mac Option click on iPhone name in left column of iTunes.

  • How to sync contacts, etc from outlook 2007

I have followed provided instructions and cannot get contacts, calendar and bookmarks to sync from Outlook2007.  I am a new iPad user and would appreciate ant assistance.  Thanks.

Thanks for responding...I am simply trying to get the contact,s calendar and bookmarks from my laptop (currently in OUtlook 2007) onto the ipad.  I followed these instructions from the Ipad 2 manual:
    Set up iTunes syncing:
Connect iPad to your computer, and open iTunes (if it doesn’t open au
In iTunes, select iPad in the sidebar.
Configure the sync settings in each of the settings panes.
See the following section for a description of each pane.
Click Apply in the lower-right corner of the screen.
By default, “Open iTunes when this iPad is connected” is selected.
My Ipad says it's syncing, but nothing happens.  I specify contact, calendar and bookmarks.  Any suggestions are appreciated.

  • My contacts disappeared from Outlook 2007

My contacts are now ONLY in iCloud. I got a folder in Outlook called Contacts in iCloud (or something), which was rather silly, but acceptable.
However, now Apple has removed all my contacts completely and left me with an empty Contacts folder in my PC (Win 7) / Outlook 2007.
The most ridiculous thing however, is that my contacts "pop up" when I write a mail... without giving me any clue the contacts are there before I start typing....
In my iPhone things are normal; I have my contacts and all is well....  Apple just has made it impossible for me to see my contacts...
PLEASE GIVE ME MY CONTACTS BACK...

  • Updates to contacts from outlook 2007 on Iphones and Ipad

Hello... I was wondering if anyone else is having issues finding a solution to this problem.  I work for a large distribution company and I am responsible for making sure all the mobile equipment is up to date with the latest contact information from Outlook.  We do not have an exchange server and therefore contacts are not automatically updated when a change is made in Outlook.  Right now I manage the list from my main PC and then the list is then updated manually onto each and every device (we have almost 300 devices).  I would like to be able to manage these updates remotely if possible.  Does anyone know of a program that works with Apple Iphones and Ipads?  We have tried many different types of programs (including icloud) and our mobile service provider has also made attemps to help us with this issue.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have google sync installed for your contacts?  If you do, IT may be what is doubling your contacts!  I run 2000, not 2007, but I had a similar problim.
AND each time I tried to correct any addresses Google thoguht they were new and recoppied the whole address book again!  Went for 700 contacts to over 8000 before I got it figured out

how to export contacts from Outlook 2007 to Apple iphone 3gs

    Hi,
You can import your contacts from your Outlook using iTunes. Connect yout iPhone / iPad to iTunes, then set sync contacts with outlook option. Then Sync your device.
Note: Your existing contacts may get replaced if you don't read the options carefully.
You can check out this website if you need more detailed information on this.

  • Trying to get my contact list from Outlook Express to fly over to my new iPAD. Appreciate any suggestions.

Trying to get my contact list from Outlook Express to fly over to my new iPAD.  Will appreciate any suggestions.

Outlook Express accesses an address book app called Windoze Contacts for contact info, which the iPad supports syncing contacts with. This is selected under the Info tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes.

  • Sync contacts from outlook 2007 to gmail problem

Hello everybody! I have an issue when I use the sync zone in order to sync contacts from outlook 2007 to gmail with pc companion 2.10.065
The problem is that some certain fields (like "work 2" number) do not sync at all.
Other fields (like the "webpage" field) sync on some contacts and do not sync on some other contacts.
Is there a workaround on that?

I have just tested this and it seems just as you say that any second number of the same category won't be synced. I think this is a limitation at Google not matching/supporting the exact same PIM filed's.
However I could not replicate the problem with the web page field.

  • Moving contacts and calendar entries from Outlook 2007 to iphone

Don't know what happended - after installing newest update today - I do not have any contacts or calendar information on my iphone. I have had no problems for the last two months - now nothing. How can I get my contacts and calendar information back to my iphone from outlook 2007?

In my case, I am sure that everything is set up properly. My calendar is still synching just fine, but I have NO contacts on my iPhone any longer. They are still in Outlook but just will not synch to my iPhone.
I have tried resetting the sync history, restoring the iPhone back to scratch, creating a new Outlook profile, and even trying to synch my Outlook contacts from a different user account on my PC. None of these things have worked. I was synching just fine until the update but not anymore, and I am starting to get really angry....

I cannor sync my contact groups from Outlook 2010 (Win 7) onto my iPad.  Can anyone help please ?

in Itunes, once you connect the iPad, do you see the 'info' tab? Tap that and scroll down and see if outlook is chosen as the place to sync contacts from. If not, check it and sync and see if your contacts move over.

  • Entourage 2008 - Importing from Outlook 2007 ???

Hi guys, just got a MacBook Pro this week and I had reserved a copy of Office 2008 which I got today.
It's great because that's what I was waiting for to put my PC on sale
BUT i was astonished to see that there's not the option to import pst files in Entourage ??
I was using Office 2007 for PC therefore Outlook 2007.
The only way we can export stuff is by creating .PST files, so you can backup all your contacts, your messages with attachements and your calendar (which are my 3 priorities).
Using the equivalent application from Microsoft but for the Mac, that is : Entourage 2008, there's not the option to import .pst ?? What the heck ??
So please guys if you know a way to export my stuff (messages, contacts and calendar) from Outlook 2007 PC to Entourage 2008 MAC, please let me know !!!
    THANK YOU !!

    Hey guys,
I don't want to be repeting by here's the way I worked this out :
    EMAILS
First I installed Thunderbird on my Win computer.
Then I imported from outlook. It took a while since my PST was like 3 Gb.
At first I was crashing it but then I let it work for a try and it imported everything perfectly, but not showing any progress bar during the process.
Second, I searched Thunderbird help for the way to export in MBOX, and it pointed out that I sould get a plug-in, which I did.
Third, having installed the plug-in, I had a tool menu for exporting. Only thing I had to do is select each folder one by one and export them using this plug-in, I only had to add .MBOX extention to every file.
Finally, when you get these files in OS X with entourage, you just drag and drop them in entourage and them import perfectly.
That did the job for me anyways.
    CONTACTS
Send yourself emails of contacts !
I sent myself email (with the WORK OFFLINE option so I wouldn't receive them in outlook) in the contacts from outlook.
As you can imagine, I totally got rid of Outlook, and of Windows actually, by now but as I remember it when you right click on a contact you have an item that's called something like "send full information of contact through email".
So to keep my categories I sent one email per categories.
Back in entourage, I had to save attachements, import them, put them in a category.
Then next email, etc. and so on.
    CALENDAR
I haven't found a way to do this but what I did was : In outlook you have a way to display your calendar events by a list, so I just made a couple of print screen of that list and I put the future events that I wanted to keep in Entourage.
    And the conclusion is :
Well I said byebye to Entourage because I don't need MS Exchange support and I hate Microsoft more and more everyday so I'm using Mail, Address Book and iCal now
But I could easily import from entourage into all of these.
The only microsoft apps I still are the must-have : word, excel and powerpoint 2008.

  • I can no longer sync Callander from outlook to my iPad the button has disappeared from iTunes what do I do

Why can I no longer sync my Calendar from outlook to my iPad the button has gone from iTunes why.

Calendar data is now synced through icloud not local itunes.
Make sure it is setup under Settings>Icloud & Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars

  • ICloud destroyed my contact groups in Outlook 2007

I have windows 8 and in my Outlook 2007 I created some (coloured) groups of contacts.
A few weeks ago I received from Apple a email, because I own an iPhone 5, that I could get my contacts
synchronized with Outlook. I had to give the version and some steps to implement it.
I also had to create a new iCloud address. I thought it might be useful.
Now weeks later after my vacation I come home and I remember that I have to send a mail to a certain group of my contacts.
I open my Outlook 2007 , emails everything ok, until I open my My Contacts / contacts:= totaly blank!!
Underneath is a box with iCloud / contact in iCloud: I can open there my contacts (I hope they are all there?) arranged alphabetically, but all my groups of contacts are gone! hours and hours of work wasted!
How can I get my contacts in my Outlook 2007 back into the groups classified as I had created them?
Microsoft and Apple do not directly support a suitable solution.
How can I reverse the steps that I did before synchronizing to iCloud ? The contacts (groups!) are not in “deleted items” !
    Please help !

You can get your Contacts back as they were by signing out of iCloud and then restoring your backup (if you have made backups). If not, you can't.

  • Contacts, Calendar in Outlook 2007 won't sync

I've been unable to get my Outlook 2007 Contacts and Calendar to sync with my iPhone. I noted in an earlier discussion something about "reset sync data history" but I cannot find a place in which to do that.
I'm using a Windows XP computer with the latest iTunes on it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

I too have the same problem! Boy am I glad (ok not really) to hear I'm not the only one.
I set the options in iTunes to sync the calendar/contacts to Outlook (2003). My iTunes (music) is syncing fine, but anything coming from Outlook is NOT. I manually entered in 4 contacts on the iPhone and synced it up and did not receive any dialog (on computer) that said the contacts will be overwritten (as user guide described). However, when I deleted those same 4 contacts from the iPhone, then I did receive a dialog saying that they were deleted from iPhone and changes would be applied to the computer (but then they were not as I did not see the contacts disappear from Outlook).
I found some online help on Apple that referred to troubles with syncing and described restarting iPhone and re-installing iTunes. I tried that and no change.
I also tried the reset sync data history as described by previous poster, and no change.
I read in the user guide that the sync is supposed to be bi-directional (changes made in iPhone go to computer and vice versa) but so far I'm only seeing any changes that I make on iPhone go back onto iPhone.
If anyone finds a solution to this problem, please post!
