No content in email

Have an intermittent problem with emails showing no content.  I can view via alternative webmail and see the content, but not in macmail.  Sometimes a shut down of mail and reopen shows the content.  Sometimes just waiting (wait time varies, but normally many minutes or hours) and content "shows up".
Based on looking at some threads on the forum, this is not a new problem..Why no permanent fix??
Thanks

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A folder window will open. Inside it there should be files with names as follows:
Envelope Index
ExternalUpdates.storedata
Move those files to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have longer names that begin as above. Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is damaged and that Mail has to quit. Click OK. Warning: The process may take hours if you have gigantic mailboxes. For reasonable-sized mailboxes, it should only take a few minutes.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the files you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

    As of yesterday afternoon, I can no longer view the content of email on my iPhone. I can view it on my iPad and my iMac. When I open the email, there's no content. Contact and subject appear, but zero content. It seems to be chronically "checking for email" at the bottom of the screen, whereas the email downloading indicator at the top has finished. This issue is across all three of my email accounts.

  • How to send task content as email?

    Hi all,
    I have task list, need to send task content as email to a person like:
    How to achieve this?

    Hello,
    create a workflow with SharePoint Designer that sends an email when an item is created.
    Or edit the list form with InfoPath and create a special email view. Include all the fields you want to send in the email. Then create a data connection to submit to email and configure who it is sent to and what the subject line is based on the form values.
    Use a button to submit the form and add a rule to submit the form data, then switch to the email view, submit to the email connection and then close the form.
    This way, the recipient will see the exact form you defined in InfoPath  in the email view.
    cheers, teylyn

  • It's my mail content, and email is to me, but the "To:" field

    Hi - this seems to me to be an odd problem, but I have an issue in mail - I use a pop gmail account -
    It's my mail content, and email is to me, but the "To:" field on the incoming mail address is someone else's name... I've checked my mail preferences, my name and the correct email address is everywhere that it is supposed to be... I've logged on to my gmail account and checked all the preferences there, but still, incoming mail on my MAC is showing someone else's name ??? Why? What have I done now?
    AArrghghg
    thanks for any info you can give me on this issue.
    Elaine

    Someone may have entered your address with the BCC: (blind carbon copy) option so the mail is sent to you but your address doesn't appear in the header.

  • Sending Web Dynpro table contents via Email

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where in I need to send an email from the Web Dynpro Application.
    I am using JavaMail for this purpose. And I am able to send text messages to the required Email Id.
    But my requirement is that I need to send the contents of one of the Web Dynpro table along with the text message.
    Is it possible to send the table contents via mail?
    Kindly let me know if there is any other approach.
    Regards,
    Shilpa B.V

    Hi,
    I don't think there are any methods in IWDTable or the IWDNode which can dump entire data on to something which we can pickup.
    The only way is to iterate through the elements in the node and construct a big string buffer with HTML Table code and include the other part of the mail also in the same string buffer as html. Then set the MIME type of your mail to HTML and send the mail.
    Check sending HTML content via email

  • HT4759 Where is the website address for my iCloud content, apps, email etc?

    Where is the website address where I can access and manage my iCloud content, apps, email etc?

    Apps are not in iCloud. They are in App Store and you can access them through iOS device.
    For Email, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Reminders and iWork go to www.icloud.com from a desktop browser.

  • How to pass contents in email body for output type medium external send

    Hi ,
    In my requirement i am send attachment to external send using open_form function module with email content blank,So now my requirement is add 2 to 3 line email content should come in external mail with attachment through open_form function module for that any one can help me if faced this kind of object it will be very help full for me.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    Is your solution using DEVICE = 'MAIL' when calling OPEN_FORM? If yes, please read through OSS Note 311037 - Printing using e-mail. You should be able to define up to 10 lines, as a static cover page for printouts sent via mail (I have not verified if this works). If that doesn't suffice, you are out of luck, I'm afraid. You'd be better off sorting out the otf to pdf conversion problem.
    Edit in: alternatively, you could of course try to extend FM SO_OBJECT_SEND via implicit enhancement... All you really need to do there is to populate the table NOTE_TEXT, which will then get converted into e-mail body Create a singleton to hold text, set text in in the driver program before open_form, get it in the implicit enhancement at the beginning of SO_OBJECT_SEND, and, if note_text is empty, take over your text and clear the singleton instance...
    cheers

  • HTML Content in Email Notifications

    Hi
    I was wondering if HTML content is supported in BPM Email notifications. The html code in the BPM UI task email notification is coming as plain HTML in the email, can you please let me know if there is any flag that needs to be turned on to process the HTML code before the email is sent out?
    Thanks
    Sasi

    i think standard notification doesn't support this.

  • How to email BLOB as attachment or content of email itself??

  • No Content in Emails when using Gmail

    When sending email it shows no content even though I typed info in the email. It also gives a smtp error, but then when you close out the mail program it sends the email. I am using gmail. I checked all of the settings and they are the same as my Iphone and it sends emails fine.

    I am having the same problem with an IMAP/SMTP account. It was a GMail account, I switched it to using the GMail auto setup and haven't had any issues.
    But under the standard IMAP/SMTP setting almost 1/3 of all messages were showing no content.
    Though I don't recall exactly - I think most of them were sent while I was on 3G, and it otherwise works fine on WiFi.

  • Subject & Message content in emails from XI

    All,
    We need to send an email from the XI system. The message that we use is the following,
    <target>
    <name> John Doe</name><designation>manager</designation>
    <name> Mary Jane</name><designation>supervisor</designation>
    <name> Foo Bar</name><designation>customer associate</designation>
    </target>
    we need to send the email with the message body as follows,
    John Doe, manager
    Mary Jane, supervisor
    Foo Bar, customer associate
    How do we strip the xml nodes from the message? Also currently this email has a subject of "Employee New Hire Report". How can we add the current date also to this subject ("Employee New Hire Report 07/21/2007") ?
    Thanks.

    If you requirement was only the mail with flat fields (no xml), then you could simply use Content Conversion Module (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/44/748d595dab6fb5e10000000a155369/frameset.htm) before your receiver mail adapter module.
    But since you have the requirement for the date in the subject, you could try to use Mail Package (check this blog for a reference: /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/07/mail-adapter-xi--how-to-implement-dynamic-mail-address).
    With simple logics within your message mapping, you could have your subject with date and the content field as required (for line feeds in UDF, use "\n" character in the concatenated string).

    Henrique.

  • Html file in the content of email.

    hi friends,
    I want to send email in the html format.
    can we pass the html file in the content of mail?
    i.e instead of doing this
    messageBodyPart.setContent("<html><body> " +
    "--------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br><br>"+
    ""+firstLine+"<br><br></body></html>" );
    can I directly pass the html file?
    Also if we have images in the html is there any way that instead of hot linking the images we can attach them with mail?

    Supplying the html content using a file instead of a String is easy:
    messageBodyPart.setDataHandler(new FileDataSource("file.html"));
    To include images in the message is harder, see the FAQ.

  • Send SharePoint Page content as Email

    Hi All,
    I have create the SharePoint Page with content editor webpart.
    I add some tables with contents. And I want to send the content of this page to participant's email. (the page content not the url of the page)
    Is there any way to serve this requirements?
    Best Regards,
    Andy

    Why dont you save it as PDF and send it accross
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/5f1c6fa1-5829-4ee5-a488-53e307e6f298/save-sharepoint-aspx-page-into-pdf?forum=sharepointdevelopmentprevious
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/81363/how-to-save-the-webpage-data-as-pdf-using-javascript
    You can create an user control with three button images (for Pdf, Print and Mail). On the click event of the button image (pdf) you can write the following code to read html stream of the page, convert it into open XML and then use the following snippet
    to convert OpenXml it into pdf files
    //Variables used by the sample code.
    ConversionJobSettings jobSettings;
    ConversionJob pdfConversion;
    string wordFile;
    string pdfFile;
    // Initialize the conversion settings.
    jobSettings = new ConversionJobSettings();
    jobSettings.OutputFormat = SaveFormat.PDF;
    // Create the conversion job using the settings.
    pdfConversion =
      new ConversionJob("Word Automation Services", jobSettings);
    // Set the credentials to use when running the conversion job.
    pdfConversion.UserToken = properties.Web.CurrentUser.UserToken;
