No control over Control key

When I click things it acts like I right click, when I scroll with the wheel it zooms in, when I type things it doesnt type over half the keys, when I open windows it opens them slowly, and I just don't know what to do.
When I disconnect my keyboard, the mouse works fine, but I know that's not the problem as I've used multiple key boards with the same result.
IF anyone has any idea how to fix this, please assist???

I set up a separate test with one very simple table on the source which is Oracle 9i and an identical table on the target. I tried both the "JKM Oracle 9i Consistent (LOGMINER)" and the "JKM Oracle Simple" and recieve the requires primary key error when I try to start journaling. I added a primary key to the source and it goes past that step with no error.

Confirmation control key issue

I would like to know under what circumstances can the confirmation control key be included in the line item of a PO after GRN is done.
I am faced with a scenario where the GR of the line item of a PO is done and their is a confirmation control key attached to this line item But I donot find any inbound delivery details in the line item nor does it look that the inbound delivery is deleted
This line item now need to be reversed ( but the system doesnot allow stating that their are no suitable line items available
(I tried 102Mvt Thru' MIGO)
Could you pelase guide me regarding this situation and suggest ways and means for PO line item reversal

Purchase Order Item Confirmations Tabstrips:
The confirmation control key controls the process subsequent to the creation of the PO.
E.g. For some important materials with long delivery times, you wish to receive advance information (via the shipping notification or inbound delivery) about the expected GR date so that you can include this information in the availability check.
The confirmation functionality is used to get better visibility & control over the goods receipts. Due to this requirement, when you work with confirmations, the system will not propose any quantity for MIGO unless any confirmations are entered in the PO. Also, MIGO will propose only such quantity for which the confirmation is entered.
In the purchase order, there is a field confirmation control key, following is its function extracted from text book.
1.The confirmation control key governs whether confirmations are expected for specific purchase order items and whether these confirmations are relevant for goods receipt or materials planning.
2. If a material document is to be created when the goods receipt posting for the inbound delivery is carried out, then the goods receipt assignment must be defined in the confirmation control.
How to set this field?
Configuration path:
SPRO -> MM -> Purchasing -> Confirmations -> Set up confirmation control or tcode OMGZ
Explain is there a necessity to fill the confirmation control, order acknowledgement & confirmation requirement. In STO normally we input the data for normal P.O.'s.only. If we input the above said data what happens if not what happens.
Confirmation gives the details of the shipping data, acknowledgement, delivery details etc......Overall view..
If it is used then Inbound delivery has to be created else GR is not possible...

If idoc /edi are configure, then everything will be automatic.
Confirmation Control is configured in SPRO -> Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Confirmations -> Setup Confirmation Control. The Confirmation Control should be assigned to the Vendor in Purchasing View (MK01/MK02). This it gets copied into the PO.
How to change the confirmation key in PO?
I have to change the confirmation key (in me23N) in the confirmation tab. It is working fine if there is no partial GR (entry in delivery schedule tab) against that line item. But if there is a GR entry against that line item its giving me a message 'confirmation key should not be changed'.
This is the standard of SAP....once GR is existing for the line then you can't change the confirmation key. To change, reverse the GR and change the key then Post GR again.
or
You can short close the PO line which you already have GR and create new line with remaining qty and enter new confirmation key.

Control key doesn't stop skimming

I understand "skimming" means that when I hover over my clip, the play line will move along it. Often I don't want this, e.g. I need to reach the menu but now the play line will move all around. I've read in different places that holding down the Control key would pause this skimming, but that doesn't do anything for me.
I'm using Mac OS Lion with iMovie 11 on a MacBook, and the Control key does work in other programs, so it's not a broken keyboard.

My best advice if you are working on a certain section is to select it by dragging so that a yellow border is around it. Then you can right click it or use the menu bar without changing what is in focus.

Control key not working after repair

I took my macbook in over the weekend to the genius bar for them to look at the display hinge, from the paperwork it looks like in addition to replacing the display they also replaced the logic board and the wifi card.
I got the laptop home and the control key is not working. Resetting PRAM and NVRAM doesn't fix the issue, nor does fiddling with keyboard/universal access settings.
Is this a hardware issue? Do I need to make another trip to the genius bar?

Hm-m, I got exactly the same problem, got the logic board replaced today, and at home discovered that the control key is not working. Have you found the solution?

Keyboard problem with T410 - Control Key

I have a problem with the control keys on the keyboard of T410.
I swapped my X200 keyboard over to T410 to check if it is software or hardware issues. With the X200 keyboard, the 'Ctrl' key is not working. With the T410 keyboard, 'e', 'd', 'c' and 'Ctrl' keys are not working.

I believe that X200 and T410 keyboards are mapped differently in BIOS.
Can you find another T410/T510 keyboard to test with?

Auto GR with Control Key or Prod.Scheduling Profile

Hi PP champs
As we can use both i.e. Control key and Production scheduling profile for activating the Auhto GR for prodcution order confirmation ..Can some one help me which is the more <b>preferred</b> or which is considered first by the system if we have both in <b>material master and routings respectively</b>.
I have gone thru the documentation but couldn't get clearity as in both its mentioned as if its not activated in scheduling profile control key will take over and same thing for control key that if its not mentioned in control key system will check for production scheduling profile...

Sumit,
Generally Production scheduling profile is the prefered option, as most of the clients also prefer using to control certain auotmation at the time of order creation and release.
To me i dont see a big difference between using control key or scheduling profile to define auto GR.
As far as priority is concerned Control key is first checked by the system, if not available checks for scheduling profile.

PM01-- Plant maintenance internal. This key is used for the execution of the job internally by maintenance engineer, technician or formen (workcenter maintain by you).The cost will be calculated by defining the activity type & activity rate by CO,when confirmation of operation or order has been done the cost will booked against the costcenter.
PM02-- Plant Maintenance external.This key is used for the sub contracting process.When you send the material to the outside vendor with spare parts by gate pass & job executed by them & return back to the company & charge for the services.The bill will be payed to vendor by GR has been done by store department when receive back the material after service.
PM03-- External services. This key is used for the execution of the job by external agencies in client place.Say example some vendor are coming outside (service provider with work order PO) & excute the job.Once the job is done the bill will be approved through service entry sheet.
PM04-- Internal services.This key is used when your company is customer service providing company.Say example the company is manufacturer of computer & selling the computer on waranty basis.If there is any problem then the maintenance enginner visit the customer place & exeecute the job.
Once the job is over then the bill will be raised to the customer for the payment.

Controlling my control keys

Awhile ago (using flex3.5 resp CS4 and player 9) I did a prototype for a drawing app that made use of shift, ctrl and alt keys (for an idea how to use so many keys, look at, say, illustrator)
When I try the same thing today, alt-drag no longer reaches the application but rather drags the flash player window around
A related issue:I would like to provide an internal copy/paste feature, but listening on the keyboard for ctrl-c or ctrl-v just returns garbage (a -1 turned into a uint as keycode)
Is there any way to get more control over modifier keys?

Never heard about launch manager on Toshiba notebook but of course the FN buttons are controlled by an special software.
I dont know what system you use and what notebook do you have but for example:
Using Win 7 system, the value added package and in some access the Flash Card support utility controls the FN buttons.

Apple AL Bluetooth Keyboard - Tab, Caps Lock, Function and Control keys just stopped working

Hi All -
All of a sudden I get on my baby, 27" iMac OSX 10.6 and the some keys on the bluetooth keyboard do not work. Specifially the Tab, Caps Lock, Function and Control keys. I'm fine with the caps lock gone (why is it there?) but the others are useful.
I've searched all over for a solution but I haven't found one. Tried to upgrade the firmware which is fine, reset the PRAM done, checked the speech per apple support nadda.
Please help.

Go to System preferances > Universal Access > Mouse or Mousie and trackpad > and turn your Mouse keys off.
Then disconnect and reconnect your keyboard.
Note that you don't open your mouse under hardware in System Preferances, this is for a whole different group of settings

Media controls keys does not work on iTunes?

My keyboard has those "Media Controls Keys" on it (just like Play or Stop etc.) but it won't work with iTunes, unless iTunes is on the front of all windows. I used to use Windows Media Player and it can work with the Media Controls Keys even the player is minimised. Are there any ways simply changing settings with iTunes and solve the problem?

I don't have a W541 myself, but here are a few things to check, in no particular order:
Have you checked with your IT department? Maybe they set a poilicy to disable the card reader.
Is the card reader correctly enabled in the UEFI firmware?
Have you run ThinkVantage System Update and Microsoft Update to confirm all of the various Lenovo and Microsoft updates are installed?
Do you still have the OS image the device originally shipped with? If so, does the card reader work under that?

Control key (^) combined shortcuts does not work on mac book pro

All shortcut combinations with the control key (^) do not work. I´m using Mac Book Pro 13 (late 2013) with Os X Mavericks 10.9.4

The Logic Board is the Main system board. In the Windows world better known as the Motherboard. Except with Apple Mac computers the CPU and the GPU are Soldered to the logic board and if it is a Retina screen model the RAM is also Soldered to it.
So replacing the Logic board is like replacing the compete system and costs accordingly.
But there isn't much else you can do if you can't get that switch unstuck. Or just go without sound from the built in speakers. They aren't that good anyway.

If you select all the songs you want to change, Be it one song or an akbum, or an Artist, Or Genre, or playlist. Then Right mouse click and Get Info. You then get a slightly different from normal Get Info box as this is the One for Multiple items.
In there have a look at the tags and see if the one you want to changes is in there. There are a few tabs so if for example you wanted to change the Media Type from Home Movie to Movie go to the Options tab and select Movie and OK and it will change the whole selection.

Purchase order does not contain a confirmation control key

I have not set any confirmation control key in Purchasare order, still at the Migo, system is showing error at depot.
I have check the same thing with manufacturing plant, system dont show me any error.

I f the confirmation control key is maintained in PUR.info record is automatically will fetch into PO though you have not selected manually in PO. The CC maintained in vendor master or PIR can copy into PO. In your case please see whether inbound delivery is needed to perform GR? CC implies many types of confirmations like order acknowledgement, advanced shipping notification or confirmation of delivery dates. Please see specifically to the error. Try to know the type confirmation system needs to post GR. Thanking you.

MIGO error 'Purchase Order does not contain a confirmation control key'

while posting GR to a PO i am getting an error ' Purchase order XXXXXXXXX does not contain a confirmation control key'
it is true that i have not defined any confirmation control key in PO, Aknowled rerd checkbox is also not ticked
Still why this message coming, what setting would be bringing this message

Until the installation of Note 589422 (with SP SAPKH46C43) you could due to a program error - create a delivery even though the purchase order did not contain any confirmation control key.
This is now prevented through error message M7394. The transfer of this check (Confirmation control key existing in the purchase order, see Note 589422) was necessary as otherwise you could post a purchase order as desired. (Refer to also Note 616944 -> SAPKH46C44)
589422 Several inbound deliveries can be created with MIGO :
"Implement the program correction.
With Transaction SE91 create message M7394 with the message text:
Purchase order & & does not contain a confirmation control key".
After you implemented this correction, when you want to create an
inbound delivery with Transaction MB01 or MIGO or with
BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE and if the purchase order does not contain a
confirmation control key the system displays error message M7394
"Purchase order & & does not contain a confirmation control key".

What can I do to prevent the control key from not working in the future?

Background:
I bough an macbook pro about 1 year and 3 months ago and after 9 months of usage my control key stopped working for about an hour or two.This happened every time I turned on or awoke my mac from sleep (lid down).I sent it to an authorized apple service center and they replaced the keyboard.Everything was fine for about 4-5 months when the same thing happened again, ctrl key stopped working but this time not when turning on my mac but at random times and for random intervals.I sent it again to the service center but they told me that this time it won't be for free because my 1 year warranty has expired.I should mention that in European Union and Romania (the country where I am from and from which the mac was purchased) the law is that any electronics device sold has to come with at least 2 years of warranty.Apple seems to ingore this law.
Anyway, after long conversations with apple uk on the phone they agreed to pay for the keyboard but not for the labor which was 70 eur ($100).It's not much but my 2 year warranty should have covered it.The sad part is that I have no guarantee that it's indeed a keyboard error and not something else, this might happen again in 4 months and I doubt this time apple would agree paying for the keyboard (which is 150eur) ($215).
I should also mention that before calling apple uk I tried apple's romanian number (listed on their site) and it didn't work on the 3 phone networks that I've tried (2 fixed and one mobile) which led me to believe that apple support is in fact a big joke.
Suffice to say that I will no longer purchase any apple devices or software, I regret purchasing mac os x lion just a week ago, when I will no longer use it because I intend to sell all my apple gear (timecapsule, iphone4, macbook pro) and buy stuff from companies that value their customers and respect their contracts.
My questions are this:
1) why does apple ignore EU and Romanian law?
2) what can I do to prevent this from happening in the future
3) can I request that my macbook be more thoroughly inspected? I suspect the keyboard is not the main problem and it will soon happen again as it happened two times already.
4) can I do something for the repair labor charge to be waved? It is illegal in my country to ask for one in this scenario...

Everyone reading your posts here is just another MacBook Pro user. We're all volunteers, not Apple employees. No one here can speak for Apple.
In my personal opinion, buying Apple products in a country where Apple has no stores and no corporate presence is a risk that the buyer takes knowingly. I don't think it's a wise risk, and I don't recommend that anyone take it. A small percentage of the products sold anywhere are going to have problems, and it makes more sense to buy an inferior product that can at least be serviced locally than to buy a superior product that may have to be sent thousands of miles for repair if anything ever goes wrong with it.

Control key no longer works after update.

After updating Lion the control key no longer works. It beeps when pressing control and then a number key but nothing happens.
This is left control key though. Right still works?
