No coutries listed in Agreement drop down - after OS resinstall due to red flashes

I experienced the red blinking LED issue already widely reported. The only route out was to re-install the OS via my PC (BlackBerry Desktop offered the option). However the reinstallation did not complete for some reason and now the Playbook gets to the point of showing the agreement, but the dropdown for country is empty. This is NOT the wifi issue where the agreement cannot be downloaded - there is not even a list of countries to select from.
I would try and re-install the OS again, but Desktop says I need to complete the PlayBook setup first. So I am stuck and unimpressed by the lack of quality on the product.
How can I recover from this, or is the device "bricked"

I already tried the hard reset, by holding down the start button and the volume +/- keys. I tried that several times and after restarting each time, i would still get stopped at the same point where the countries on the agreement come up. Still nothing. At this point the machine is trash, I hope not, I passed it on to my grandson after upgrading myself to another laptop. We did the memory wipe as described we should, he's got a different blackberry ID. Now it's toast. Got the kid all excited for nothing apparently. Thanks RIM!

Requery Drop Down after new record added

Hi,
I have a form built with ADDT. There is a dropdown box tied to the buyers table (ID, Name) and a button to add new buyers. The buyers table has full contact info in it so I can't use the editable drop down. I need to be able to requery the drop down box after the user clicks the add buyer button, which opens a window with the add buyer form, so that it checks the table again and shows the new buyer in the drop down list.
At the moment I have it all working except that when the user adds a new buyer they have to refresh the page, losing any data already entered, in order to see the newly entered data in the drop down. Is there a way to requery the drop down after a new record has been entered or when the user clicks the submit button of the add buyer form? Or, maybe requery when the user clicks on the control again after entering the new buyer?

Sorry, I've been out for a few days. I ended up solving the problem by adding a preform search form to search for the buyers in the table before hitting the form. If the buyer isn't there it's added before going to the form. Works for me.
I do have another question about a javascript I've been trying to get working on the same form. It converts numbers in one field to words in another (http://javascript.about.com/library/bltoword.htm) and looks fairly simple, but I think the way ADDT creates the fields names I can't figure out how to make it work. I was able to get it to work on a simple html form, but not the ADDT form. Here's some code with the two fields and the button that calls the javascript. Below that is the call in the head section. The link is also there, but I don't need to post it.
I know this can work but I really could use some help.

hello, when i use this sample script, it works fine. but when i add additional arrays to it, it doesn't work at all. please let me know what i need to change in this script in order to add additional items into the drop down lists. here is the script that works (displays 3 options in first drop down list (blank, option, another option)):

When I attempt to access my IRA account on line, I get a message saying that the web site requires a client certificate. The certificates listed in the drop down dialog box don't get accepted, even though one is indicated as valid and good until 10/2014.

Some websites require a special client certficate for access. If you don't have that certficate, you'll have to contact the site operator to find out how to get one.
Sometimes the problem is caused by a web server that is configured to request an optional client certificate. Safari treats the request as mandatory. In that case, other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome may be able to connect to the site, because they ignore the request.
The first time you were prompted for a certificate, you may have clicked through a dialog that requested access to the Apple certificate in your keychain that is used to secure the iMessage service. In that case, you may be able to regain access to the site in Safari by doing as follows.
Back up all data.
Double-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:

How do I use one drop down list to refresh the list in another drop down?

I am using a drop down list full of years (i.e. 2008, 2009..etc). When I make my selection from this drop down list (say for instance I select 2009) I want it to update the available data in the second drop down list. I have the query statement set up within the JSP page but it needs to be a dynamic SQL statement based off the value I selected in the first drop down.

The variable "year" is the value I need to figure out how to assign. Now this variable is a Java variable (attribute) and Im unsure how to get the value from the previous drop down and assign it to that. Basically I need the JavaScript value from the first drop down assigned to the Java attribute "year".

Here are my two drop down lists. As you can see I build the second list dynamically based off the value of the year. I want to be able to assign my year to the value I select in this first drop down. How do I do that?? I only want to show games for the year I select. I currently have the year hardcoded to "2009" as you see below. RoboHelp 10 - Missing numbers in the Numbered List within a drop-down hotspot

I have applied a numbered list style to a paragraph which is written in a drop-down hotspot within another drop-down hotspot in RoboHelp 10. But I observed, though the 'numbers' are displayed in the editor, they are missing from the generated output. Please suggest a solution.

The only workaround I know of is to use regular lists instead in nested dropdowns.

My folders aren't showing up in my bookmark list or the drop down menu when I bookmark a site. Please advise!

I just created a bunch of folders to organize my bookmarks. When I try to bookmark a page and put it in the appropriate folder, none of my folders appear in the drop-down menu. Thanks for any advice you can provide. ~cayugakate

Turns out they were showing up, just all the way at the bottom of my list of bookmarks. I just couldn't see them. If you go to "Bookmarks"->"Organize Bookmarks" and then play around in there with highlighting on "Bookmarks Menu" you should be able to figure it out. Otherwise you just have to move them up to the top individually. Hope that helps! ~Kate

I look for my requirement very much but I can't find. I think it must be very simple but I can't do it, please help :
I have to custom added fields. Both of them is made drop-down list by picklist defined in GET_P...methods.
When I click and select a value from the first drop-down list, I want that second drop-down values are fully changed, depend on what I select in the first list. If I select my value and press enter in the first drop down box, I can do my requirement with GET_V...method. But if I don't press enter, the values of second list doesn't change, they remain same. I want exactly that when I click and select a value from first drop-down list, second drop-down list values are automatically change, dependent on what selected. Do I have to define and event?? where and how, please help me..

You must have created the field as a dropdown using the below code in the get_p method.
CASE iv_property.
    WHEN if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter~fp_fieldtype.
        rv_value = cl_bsp_dlc_view_descriptor=>field_type_picklist.
ENDCASE.
Here you need to add the below lines of code along with the previous code. for the first dropdown value
IF iv_property = if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter=>fp_server_event.
    rv_value = 'DDLB_CLICK'.
ENDIF.
This would refresh the screen when the user selects any value from the dropdown.

I have two drop-down lists, the second one is driven by the first selection, I am wondering how to do it.

I need to open up the same web site in two separate tabs. Since I upgraded to Firefox 6 when I try to open the web page in a new tab from the list in the drop down in the address window it only gives be the option to switch to the tab already have open.

When I go the drop down from the address window, rather than showing the URL of the website I want open in a second tab it says "Switch to tab." But I don't want to switch to the tab - I want to open a second tab on the same URL. If I want to open it a second time I have to manually key in the address. Is there some way to turn this off so I can open up the second tab using the same address from the drop down? I have always been able to do this with previous versions of Firefox.

How can I restore my iphone to a backup that's not listed in the drop down menu

I updated my iphone and everything was removed. I attempted to restore it however the only backups that are available when I have the iphone logged into itunes is the one from today. How can I apply an older backup say 1 to 2 days ago to the drop down menu of the restore button? Right now the only thing that's showing up is the one for today and that's abslolutely not the one I want or need. And before the question is asked no I didn't save it to icloud.

iTunes only keeps one normal backup, per device. Thus, there are no previous backups from 1 or 2 days ago unless you restored your phone & backed up before you restored. Restore point backups are time/date stamped & are not overwritten.

Printer will not list in the drop down menu

I have an HP Officejet 6500A (E710) printer running with Windows 7. When I route a word document to the print menu the "name" box is empty. The drop down menu includes the all the printers with the Officejet as the default printer but when I clink on it, it will not appear in the "name" box. I have removed the driver and reinstalled it without effect. I would appreciate any suggestions as to how I might print a document.

Sorry that you are having a problem with the printer not showing up in the drop box.
Try to restart the print spooler.
1. Click Start Menu
2. Type in Services in search bar.
3. Click on it.
4. Scroll down to Printer Spooler.
5. Stop it and Restart it.

Well to show the menu it runs off opacity, Opacity is not cross browser and IE8 as you noticed will not work with it.
This menu method of a CSS menu is also not mobile friendly.
You will need the MS filters to work in older IE's
