I am a season ticket holder for the San Diego Chargers. I also frequent a lot of concerts as well. My phone data connection never works during these events. I understand that the capacity is overwhelmed which results in poor connection but isn't that what XLTE is for? And why didn't my T mobile phone lose its data? Does anyone know if this is an issue Verizon is working on? And all the Verizon fanboys spare me your smart *** comments. Thank you

yes XLTE helps but it's not a miracle worker. It doubles capacity. An arena might have 20X maximum capacity. Why does T-Mobile phone work because they have fewer customers. Odds are Very good there were fewer T-Mobile customers at that game than Verizon customers. Also Verizon is the only carrier that can stream NFL games. Odds are many people were streaming the game in the stands. Thus ZERO T-Mobile customers were streaming the game

Essbase default data clears taking place during FDM Batch Processing

We have been trying to avoid the default FDM Essbase database clears (which are coded into the LOAD Action scripts) by writing our own data clears and adding them to one of the event scripts. This was to ensure that the data clear took place against the correct members/point-of-view.
However, when using the Batch Processing functionality of FDM Workbench, we are seeing unexpected data clears taking place, indicating that FDM is still executing the default data clears. Is there any way to disable these? We also want to ensure that our own data clears are still executed (they are in the "BefExportToDat" event scripts). Please advise!

Hi SH, yes you are right, I also realised this in the car on the way home! But don't you mean "A" rather than "M" (for append)?
I have tested this and it appears to be the solution - setting the second character of the fifth segment of the filename to "A" has stopped the default Essbase clears from being executed. To summarise:
To append or replace to data in FDM:
FDM Web Client: Select "Append" or "Replace" option in drop-down list, respectively.
FDM Workbench Batch Processing: Set first character of fifth segment of filename to be "A" or "R", respectively.
To append or replace to data in Essbase:
FDM Web Client: Select "1 - Merge" or "0 - Replace" option in drop-down list in Export stage of workflow, respectively.
FDM Workbench Batch Processing: Set second character of fifth segment of filename to be "A" or "R", respectively.

Minor correction of project data has taken place (1)

Hey peeps,
Last night i finished a track in Logic all mixed and everything done. I happened to close Logic after i had finished with everything. When i re opened the project i was working on a message came up saying "Minor correction of project data has taken place (1)"
The only option to click is "Ok" so i clicked that and after i do that it says "Warning! Project may be damaged" and again the only option to click is Ok so i clicked that....
When the project opens there is nothing inside it, Logic seems to have wiped everything within the project!
I checked my Project File Back Ups folder and they all do the same thing...
I honestly feel like crying!!!!
If anyone knows what's gone on please help me because after all those hours of work my project is now not opening!

You would have a backup of every stage of your work!! Takes 15 seconds to save under another name!

May I know how data load takes place in essbase

Since I am new to hyperion i need to know some details about Essbase.Last month we faced one issue.Whenever a data load takes place it clears the previous years data and loads only loads the current years data.May i know the reason for this.
And also i want to know how the data load takes place in Essbase.

Above mentioned in how many ways we can load the data from different files..now what am i trying to say is we can also use "Calc script" to load the data...
You know how?
thru "Datacopy" we can load the data value(s) into another member(s)..You can see in session dialogue box while running the Calc script (Which it contains the "Datacopy") that will show data load in progress..
And also make sure that every time you won't do copy the data from SQL,Excel..etc ... it may be you can have the situation to copy the data from one server to another server...think in that way will be another good advantage for you..

Upgrade 11.1 to 11.2 with Data Guard In Place

I am planing on upgrading my primary and standby servers to 11gR2 and was wondering what are the best steps. I do not plan on doing a switchover during the process because down time is only about an hour and we can afford it.
Here is what I plan on doing:
1. On Primary - ALTER SYSTEM SET LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_STATE_2=DEFER SCOPE=BOTH;
2. On Standby - ALTER DATABASE STOP LOGICAL STANDBY APPLY;
3. Upgrade the standby database then the primary database
4. On Standby - ALTER DATABASE START LOGICAL STANDBY APPLY IMMEDIATE;
5. On Primary - ALTER SYSTEM SET LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_STATE_2=ENABLE;
Let me know if these steps don't sound right. But my question is should I disable archive during the upgrade processes? if I do could this mess up sending archive logs over to primary because there will be missing sequences numbers?
And my second question is do I need to do anything to the Data Guard broker after the upgrade. I currently use Enterprise Manager to manager the setup.

Using a Data Object in Place of a Database Connection

We've got about 2000 users that will need to access the same data set for an on-demand report. We're using logic at report run time to restrict how much of that data set a given user can see. We'd like to avoid the stress on our database server of a few hundred people hitting it at the same time. Is there a Crystal or Business Objects object that we can load the data into and then have the report use that object? The data is only updated on a monthly basis, so loading such an object with the most recent data is a reasonable solution for us.

Business Objects has a few offerings in this area: Business Objects Enterprise, CR Server, CR.com. All three options will allow you to schedule a report and have your end users viewing only a scheduled instance of a report with Saved data.

Editing date & time in Places

I just installed iLife 09. A bulk of my photos were converted from non-digital negatives to CD. Of course when I import the discs, iPhoto assumes that the date I import the disc is the date of the event. I CAN NOT find a way to edit the date of the events. Is there a way or has Apple yet again let me down?

Darn that Apple - but luckily they provided this free user to user forum so you do not have to click on the help menu and type in "date" - terrible of them
If you were to click on the Help menu and type "data" not the search window that comes up it would point you to two menu items that will solve your problem - and give you links to five (5) articles that provide more information - and an an all results link to show even more options if none of those do it
I know that you are terribly disappointed with Apple for making it this hard - but it is just the way it is

Data Base Layout Placement??

Hi all,
Question about entering information in a database. For example, “Will” has two sets of info that need to be shown. Not all names like "Will" have two sets of infomration. How do you attach the second set of info to be displayed on the line below “Will” without duplicating the name "Will" again?

Bill Briar Rd Atl [email protected]
In other words, "Bill" should be shown beneath "Kelley", "Briar" should be on the line below "Oxfor", etc.

If you really want that the record 1 for Will (assuming that it is named 'name') show the name while the record 2 don't show it, I think that you will have to add a complementary fields.
For instance add a checkbox field (named 'check') which will default to uncheck.
Check it only for a second or third record dedicated to the same name.
Add also a calculated field (named nameCalc) whose formula would be:
IF('check',"",'name')
Build a template to enter the datas showing 'name' and 'check'.
To get the wanted behaviour, build an other layout in which 'name' would be replaced by 'nameCalc'.
Sort the record by 'name' + 'check' so you will display the record showing the name before the one which doesn't.
I tried to be clear but I'm not sure that I match my goal.

Data merge frame placement options

Hi
I'm using data merge for a layout which needs a series of black frames stacked on top of each other.
If I have a black keyline all the way around, I get a double thickness line between the frames.
If I have a black keyline around the top and two sides, it works fine apart from the frame at the bottom of the stack as it has a missing line.
The way to get around it to my mind would be to be able to put a negative measurement between the frames, but it's not an option:

It was ticked, but unticking it makes no difference I'm afraid.
It's not a massive issue, it just means I have to add a horizontal rule at the bottom of the stack each time.

Why do I not get email, internet etc in crowded places (Shea Stadium, etc)?

I get many bars on the iPhone and I have 3G service showing. When I switch to Edge (turn off 3G) it does not help. I used to have similar issues with Blackberry (ATT), though I recall in that case I could not get the Blackberry to show "EDGE".
This issue seems to occur when I am at a crowded venue, such as Shea Stadium with 50,000+ fans. Similar experience at Flushing Tennis center during US Open.

How do you know not a single T-Mobile or Verizon subscriber ever have a connection problem or have no issues ever when they are at Shea Stadium with 50,000 people will all or most people while there unable to put their friggin' cell phone down or turn it off for only 3 hours and just enjoy the game without having to yack or text with someone during the game?
When there are that many people at one location with all or most having to use their cell phone during the event with many likely doing so at the same time, there will be problems I don't care who the provider is.

Anyone ever see 5Gb of data usage take place in one day?

I have never used more than 2Gb in an entire month, then suddenly yesterday I get a text message from Verizon that I used almost 5Gb - in one morning! I wasn't even using my iPhone for anything unusual, and most of the day I was in my office connected to wifi with the phone in my purse. Thoughts?
Nothing in my settings yesterday was any different than any other day. I use iCloud backup, but only on wifi. There were apps running in the background, but that is always the case. I don't stream music, movies, or games. 5Gb is a lot!
I should add - I did pre-order an iPhone 6 yesterday morning. Can't help but think that could have something to do with this...

Data is not uploaded from dso to cube

Dear Experts,
In one of my process chains uploading of the data is taking place from dso to the cube through DTP.
But only data in data package 1 are transfeered .
The data gets stuck up in data package 2 and data package 3 so the request remains in yellow state only.

1) Check the short dump is there are not in SM12.
2)If found then try to load manually the packet2 and 3 , (we have got an option on the right most corner to load them manually).
3) if 1 & 2 are unsuccessful, try to keep an option of PSA and load the data again.

Actually transaction date is characteristics. So i used formula variable with exception aggregation as last value on 0PLANT. I get X as result.

You can do this by following these ideas:
Convert the transaction date into keyfigure with the help of formula variable with replacement path and make sure to keep transaction date characteristic in rows otherwise it will not work perfectly.
Then you can apply the condition on that date KF with top n =1.

As per our client requirements they want to develope an Inventory and an Ontime delivery report in BO on top of Oracle database.
Situation is some thing like they have ECC 6.0.and they want to collect all inventory and ontime delivery data at one place.According to me that could be one Ztable in which we can gather all data.Apart from that they are going to use Data Integrator in which they can directly fetch the data from R/3 system(They dont want to have BI system) and put all data in Oracle DB.On top of ORacle BO person can develop BO reports.
My question is how to fetch all data at one place and what are the tables going to be use.
kindly help me out as its very important project.

The following is my standard reply to those who need to get old data from a backup in one account and add it to another account. The method described here may be applied to your case. It would be a bit of a long process, though.
When connected to the account you want to GET data from, Go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.
When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone.
After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to this new account.
Note that this only affects the "Apple data" like contacts, calendars, reminders, etc. Many third party apps also use iCloud to store data files there. These files may be lost in the process, unless the apps also keep the data locally on the device.
NOTE: Photos in the photo stream (if you use it) will not transfer to the new account. It is advised that you save the photos to a computer before performing the account switch.
