No data in RSA3

Hi Friends,
I'm right now working on some of the HR data sources, well when I extract the data from RSA3 there is no data in it, but when I actually check the R/3 tables from where it gets data , there is data in the tables, and also I'm checking in the same client where I'm actually extracting.
Note : these are not the logistics data sources.
I would really appericate and award points , if someone can come back on this.

1> Go to RSA3
2> Below the "Datasource" - where you enter the datasource , there is a box called " Execution mode".
3>Tick the check box "Debug mode"
4> Now execute the Extractor
5> It will take you to debugger. Now you can execute step-by-step and see how the contents are being filled (internal tables, variables etc.

I am testing the extractor 2lis_11_vaitm and there is no data in RSA3. i have checked the sales orders and there is data. please let me know what the problem may be.

Emil,
Here are the steps.
1) Use transaction LBWG to delete the contents of the setup table for application 11.
2) Use transaction OLI7BW to perform the statistical setup of sales documents (make sure to block all orders).
3) While setup job is running, use transaction SA38 to run progrm RMBWV311. This will move the V3 updates to the delta queue so as not to double up this data.
4) Now in RSA3, execute the 2LIS_11_VAITM datasource.

No data in RSA3 for 2LIS_11_VAITM and 2LIS_11_VAHDR

hello experts,
i want to extract data from 2LIS_11_VAHDR and 2LIS_11_VAITM but dont see any data in RSA3.
I have already activated the datasource in RSA5 and LBWE. After running the setup tables using OLI7BW i still dont see any data in RSA3.
Pls advice... is there something i am missing?

Use SE16 and verify that there is data in the MC11VA0HDRSETUP table. If there is no data, then your setup tables were not updated (or the setup extracted no records).
In RSA3, make sure you select Update Mode of "C" or "F". This will check data from the setup tables.

Unable to find data in RSA3 for particular fields2lis_04_p_arbpl datasource

I am working with datasource 2lis_04_p_arbpl to construct Yield Report. I have a field GAMNG(Target Quantity) in the table AFKO, so I added it to the communication structure and activated it. I also want the field IGMNG(confirmed quantity) which is available in the table AFKO but not appearing in the pool tables of ARBPL datasource, so I have done datasource enhancement and obtained the field in the datasource. When I am checking for the data in RSA3, unable to find data(zero values) for both the fields.

Hi ,
Please make sure that you are doing the extractor check in Update mode 'Full' .If the setup tables are filled then this should pick the data for the 2 newly added fields .
check and update accordingly later .

Event Management Datasources 0SCEM_1 ,2 ,3 not showing any data in RSA3.

I am trying to load SC Event Management data into BW.
On the source system side , I did following thins, Still I'm not finding any data in RSA3.
a) Use Tcode- /SAPTRX/BWGS and
i) Set the BW upload mode to V1 u2013 Direct Delta Upload
ii) Activate the BW upload for the extraction structures /SAPTRX/BWTFSEE, /SAPTRX/BWTFSEG, and /SAPTRX/BWTFSEH.
iii) You must generate the DataSources for all the extraction structures (/SAPTRX/BWTFSEE, /SAPTRX/BWTFSEG, and /SAPTRX/BWTFSEH) for which appends have been changed or created. To generate the DataSources, in the dialog structure, choose DataSources Generation for the relevant extraction structure. If you use the standard appends without modifications, you do not have to generate the DataSources.
b) Initialize set up tables for EM upload using Tcode- /SAPTRX/BWID
c) The three setup tables must be filled with the relevant data for the respective event handlers. This enables the initial data upload to SAP NW BI. The parameter for the BW upload has been set to u2018 u2019 for the BW Upload Rule. This indicator specifies that an initial upload is carried out. This is executed Tcode- /SAPTRX/TSC0TR.
d) Afterwards trigger the initial loading using Tcode- /SAPTRX/BWIU.This transaction sends the BWUPLOAD event to all the event handlers selected according to the
specified selection criteria. Note that even inactive event handlers can be selected. The system collects all the relevant data (according to the rules in the BW profile) for the selected event handlers (those for which the BWUPLOAD event has been reported) and stores the data in the three setup tables.
e) You must check if the parameter for the BW upload is set to delta upload using Tcode- /SAPTRX/TSC0TR
Still I'm not seeing any data in RSA3. Can any one please help me to extract the data into BW side.

2lis_03_bf data is not showing data in RSA3

Hi,
I have loaded 2lis_03_bx first for a plant using MCNB transaction,its showing data in RSA3 then I have loaded 2lis_03_bf datasource for the same plant using transaction 0LI2BW. but it is not showing data in RSA3.
I have done the above process in background.
In SM37 it is showing the following message for the 2lis_03_bf datasource

Step 001 started (program RMCBNEUB, variant &0000000000003, user ID TCS_SRM)
Date fields for info structure S032 are not generated
Job finished</b>
steps:
1.Before loading the data I have deleted data using LBWG
2.In LBWE, 2lis_03_bf is already activated.
Please help me out on resolving the above issue

BEx reporting option --> If this indicator is not set, no SID's are generated for the new characteristics when the data in the ODS object is activated.This optimizes the performance of the activation process, but the ODS object is not available as an InfoProvider for queries.

0EC_PCA_3 does not return data in RSA3 if the target system is entered

Hello all,
Datasource 0EC_PCA_3 is not transferring data to the BW 7.0 system. In the ECC 6.0 system datasource 0EC_PCA_3 does not return data in RSA3 if the target system (BWDCLNT100) is entered in the selection fields. When omitting the target system all expected data is returned.
Datasource 0EC_PCA_1 works fine for the same target system.
There is one thread dealing with the same problem but the person does not provide the solution he found.
Does anyone know what the issue is?

The problem was solved by removing the datasource in both BW and R/3 and activating everything from scratch again. We didn't find out what was the cause of the problem, but at least it is working now.

Error when extracting data in rsa3

Hi,
we are using BI7.0. While when i am extracting data to PSA i am getting an error that error in source system. when i am extracting data in RSA3 source system side there also it was showing the same error. Data souce is active.
So please let me know if it as anything to do.

Unable to find data in RSA3 in BW.

Hi all,
Iam loading data from BW to APO,
we were generated Datasource(DS) in BW byusing a CUBE.
when I load data to APO by susing same DS iam getting 0 records, but my cube has data in BW.
when I check in extract checker(RSA3) in BW it shows 0 records,

We are not using delta loads, all loads are full for this particular cube,
Here is my scenario,
I loaded full loads to my cube every day and deleting the previous request.
Now I want to load the same data to APO system, So that I generated a Data source by using function Generate export Data Source in BW:
When I check in RSA3 the data source doesnt have records, it shows 0 reocrds,
Please help me in this, I will assign points any way.

Data in RSA3 does not match data in PSA

We recently added a new field (character 40) to our 0customer_attr extractor and are populating it in a user exit. When we execute the extractor in RSA3, the field is populated correctly. However, when we run an actual extraction to BW, the data in this field is not transferred to the PSA correctly. The PSA field is also a character 40 field. In some cases the data in this field is truncated, only the first 12 characters are transferred. At other times only the second half of the field is transferred into the PSA. It is as if something is out of synch between the extract structure and the PSA.
I have replicated the datasource several times and have also reactivated the transfer rules several times. I also tried removing the field from the tranfer structure and reactivating the transfer rules and then readded the field and reactivated. I am not certain what else to try.

Put a break point in the user exit and load the particular record which is getting truncated and see what is actually happening. And once again make sure the field in both BI and R3 is identical in length and type.

Payroll extractor 0HR_PY_1 do not return any data in RSA3 in full mode

I have activated Payroll extractor 0HR_PY_1.
I use RSA3 to check the extractor.
It does not return any data(0 records) in full mode.
Do i need to do activate any other object, apart from the datasource?

Hi Suresh,
HR extractors need additional authorizations. When the extractor is run, there would be a check if the user is authorized to extract data. Check SAP notes 672514 & 397208. Also find my previous post on this.

Data in RSA3 not populating in PSA

Hi All,
This issue is seen for a generic extractor which shows data for a particular field in RSA3. But when the same is seen in the manage of PSA, I do not see the field being updated.
I replicated and activated the data source and reloaded data again; however it still does not update the data for that field. Has anybody faced persistent issue with the missing PSA data like this?

Hi,
Goto RSA6 in R/3 and search the datasource. Click on "Display datasource" (Ctrl + F2).
Find the field for which the data is not getting populated in BW.
Check if the "Field Only Known in Customer Exit" is selected for that field. If it is so, then the data will not be available in BW for that field. It has to be populated via User exit code.

Field data from RSA3 is not showing in PSA

Hi guys
I can see the data field (custom) data populated in RSA3 for one of our data source...but which is not showing up in PSA table . we recently reinited and for some reason that particular field is not bringing the data .For all the records this paritcular field in PSa showing as 00.00.0000 . How come a field value shows in RSA3 and not PSA ???? please advie what should I do

Hi sam thanks...I can see that data in extractor but not in PSA , that means it should not be in tra str /update rules/. the problem must be in extractor ...please help how to get this date in PSA as is...
I have one more issue, when Iam loading the data from PSA to cube the data was half loaded and then the remaining half has yellow status in monitor...when I checked in simulation mode the following message is coming " Enter rate USD / rate type M for 30.03.2007 in the system settings" do you have any idea on how to fix this ?

COPA data source RSA3, RD155

Hi,
when we run the RSA3 for COPA data source 1_CO_PA2901000_ACC we get error RD155 " No Source could be found to answer the search query".

RSA3 is only a Checker, you should use either the InfoPackages to set this go into the InfoPackage > Scheduler > dataSource default transfer
or alternatively you can set this globally in SBIW in both BW and in R/3
Data Transfer to the SAP Business Information Warehouse > General Settings > Maintain Control Parameters for Data Transfer
