No Data when extracting 0FI_GL_4

Hi SAP Gurus,
I'm using the 0FI_GL_4 (Line items) Data source .I've activated the DS in R/3 and verified the Data using RSA3 .It's showing records.But when I try to load the ODS ,the data isn't coming to BW showing 0 of 0 records & No data in PSA also.What could be the problem?

Hi Raja:
in BW go to Source systems, select your SS and click on check. if thats ok means then you can start with:
1. look in RSA3
2. replicating your DS again.
3. load till PSA
4. check the source system connectivity.

2lis_06_inv - No data when extracting delta information

Good day,
I did an initial extract from ECC for the 2lis_06_inv DataSource and the records where extracted, when executing a delta no records are extracted. Changes have been made on ECC but these no records are added to the delta queue.
I used transaction OLI6BW to fill the setup table and no errors where reported. I have checked table RBEX and there are 4 records in this table, these are the recored which where updated.
Does anybody know why the delta queue is not being filled ?
Any help would be appreciated.

RSA3 returns 0 records.
The Job Control in LBWE is not set, and the update mode is Queued Delta.
if I have to set the Job Control Parameters, when do I set it, after the data has been extracted into BW ? after I have run the setup in ECC ?

Warning Messages when extracting Time Management Data using 0HR_PT_1,2

Hi,
When extracting data using 0HR_PT_1 and 0HR_PT_2 extractors it comes up with the following errors and warnings even if the records in the source system are correct.
"No Personel Work Schedule for personnel number XXXXXXX" and
"Personnel number XXXXXXX could not be locked".
Did any one of you face the same issue? If so, please do let me know how to fix these!

To my knowledge this is caused because there are locks on registrations for these employees in R/3, probably because there using the system at the time of extraction.
To my knowledge the only way to handle this is to set "yellow" status to "green" this can be done automaticly on the InfoPackage.
I know this problem from two companies and i have not experienced any inconsistancies on data due to this proceeding.

Extract data from Flat file CSV to SQL Server 2008 using SSIS 2008 (Data gets corrupted when extraction)

I am trying to extract data from multiple CSV files to SQL into a single table. The data type of all the columns in SQL table is nvarchar(MAX). I am able to extract the data from the flat files but some of the data(on extraction) is
corrupt including question marks(?) and other invalid special characters. Also I tried selecting the UTF-8, 65001(Unicode) format but the problem still persists. Also I tried using data converter but no use.
I checked with the data in the flat file but there is no data with question mark(?) or any other special characters.
The separator in the flat file is Comma(,)
Please help.

The source system and application determines the code page and encoding. Is it Windows, Unix, Mainframe or some other type?
Unicode files sometimes begin with a byte order mark (2 bytes) to indicate little or big endian. If you open the file in notepad and then select save as, the encoding in the dialog will show the encoding notepad detected based on the BOM. If
that is ANSI instead of Unicode or UTF-8, you will need to know the code page the source system used when the file was created.

Got an error when extracting data with extractor 2lis_04_matnr.
System says (short dump):

Error when attempting to import object "MC04P_0MAT_TAB".
The current ABAP program "SAPLMCEX" had to be terminated because one of the statements could not be executed. This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program. When attempting to import data, it was discovered that the data type of the stored data was not the same as that specified in the program.
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_IMPORT_MISMATCH_ERROR', was neither caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure "MCEX_BW_LO_API" "(FUNCTION)".
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is: When importing the object "MC04P_0MAT_TAB", the component no. 5 in the dataset has a different type from the corresponding component of the target object in the program "SAPLMCEX". <b>The data type is "D" in the dataset, but "C" in the program.</b>

Check this note: 328181
So you need to delete entries in SM13/LBWQ for application and also detup table content.
And then refill teh set up table.
If you are in production clear the entries by running collective run no of times for this application 04.

When business warehouse extracts HR data from SAP, they received this error message stating "Technical error when extracting time data in HR: HRMS_TIME_TIM_QUOTA 00321478".
Do you have any idea on this?

We don't have Business Warehouse, but it seems your system has problems with a Quota, perhaps for employee # 00321478.

When extracting data some recors are missing

I am extracting data for inventory.
it is delta .When data is extracting from r/3 no process chain fails.
But some of the records are missing. it is only happening for inventory datasource

Is this at the Ds level or while update into the target.
Is the initialization done with any selection conditions, if yes then delta also will be fetched only for those selections.

Photos on my Mac show the wrong date when imported from a portable Hard Drive

I’ve got loads of photos that I had imported from my old PC.Last night I decided to start going through them and trying to get them sorted
prior to importing into iphoto. I discovered that some of the pictures (in particular ones I have taken from my old Iphone) all had the same date and time
assigned to them. When I checked the Exif details, it listed the correct camera etc, but the date created seems to have changed to the date I copied them to my portable hard drive.
I thought this was strange as when they were on my PC I thought they were correct. I booted my PC up and checked the portable hard drive on Windows. When viewed on my PC the pictures all have the correct time and date assigned to them. However when I plug the same portable hard drive into my Mac the same files show up as being created on a more recent date (say 20th Jan 2013).
I’ve done a lot of research last night, although I can find no forum with this exact problem, I feel it must have something to do with compatibility. The portable hard drive is FAT32, and I am assuming that in order to ensure all of the photos information is transferred correctly in needs to be NTFS.
The problem I have is how do I transfer my files again from my PC to an NTFS drive, whilst keeping all of the correct date and time information assigned to the photos. My understanding is that the 2 aren’t compatible.
Has anyone ever had this problem? It mainly seems to be with photos I have extracted from my Iphone or edited in some form by rotating them.
I have a 13" Macbook Pro Retina with OSX Mavericks installed.

What you may want to do is archive as a Zipfile the photos and then transfer them to the Mac.     It is possible some of the metadata is being lost on the FAT32 formatting.    USB Flashdrive might work better than a FAT32 formatted hard drive, as I do know that most USB Flashdrives are formatted about the same as SD media cards, which manage to preserve the data when copied from camera to Mac.    My big question is, do you still have the photos on media cards? You might just want to get a media card reader on your Mac, if the photos are not on SD cards, and transfer them over with the media card reader.
I do believe Retina MacBook Pros all have SD card readers built-in.

Report painter -output parameters,Data source,Extract parameter, report

Hi expert,
1)What report painter -output parameters,Data source,Extract parameter, report mean for and what are the difference?
2)I have create new report painter and transport to Test server using T-code:GCTR and I find that the T-code always point to old report. As I had check the SE93 the D_SREPOVARI-REPORT is point to report group.Why this happen?
3) Does creation of new report or modification of the report always need to select the extraction option so that it will able to display the relected changes? Because, I have done modification on the report but it is not reflected the changes even i save until i have to create the extraction is able to display the report but every time i run the report need to select the extraction with option to choose new extract or old. Kindly advice how to save and create the report painter and save will display reflected result .

3) What are the different between right click copy the report inreport painter compare with create report painter with copy GRR1?

5) When I create a new report with the right click copy in GRR1 and modify the report painter column only and everything remain the same just the report name different why when execute the report it always appear in the selection screen with report button which have option button to select the 2 version of report which one is the destination report that I copy from and one is the new report? How to backup data when hard drive is failing.

I think my hard drive is failing..
I booted using Install DVD, and got message in Disc Utility that "this drive has a hardware problem that can't be repaired." It mentioned I should backup data and consult apple representative..
I clicked on Macintosh HD under the red physical drive (500.11 GB Hitachi HTS) and did disc repair.
Strangely, the message went away on the physical drive when I finished. It turned back to black wording and gave green "verified/repaired" messages in the log.
I am still able to boot my macbook, although everything is running slowly... Desktop excel files take 15 mins to open.
Does this still sound like a failing hard drive?
I am trying to act fast and borrowed my sister's external harddrive/ "passport for mac", and it slowly prompted a time machine backup. It is slowly working through "8.34GB of 200.33GB"
I do not really understand what I am doing, but hoping this is the right move. Could someone explain what time machine will do or how it will help?
Is there any chance I will harm her external hd?

Now you will need to use very expensive data recovery experts to recover data when you could have had it safely on a $100 worth of 2 external HD.
Mechanical HD failure circumvents using recovery software.......so, now you backed yourself into a corner and needed expensive data expert recovery.
You took a wrong turn a long while back before reaching this cliff edge.

M…oSoft products aren't allowed on my machines but I use LibreOffice which is a clone of Office.
When I export from Numbers to Excel and open the result with LibreOffice, the dates are correctly treated.
To be precise, dates after 01/01/1904 are correctly treated. dates before 01/01/1904 are exported as strings but, as it's flagged during the export process, it's not surprising.
