No deactivate option in CS3!

I am trying to move my CS3 installation to a different computer, but there is no Deactivate option in the help menus. It is not that it is grayed out, it just isn't there at all. I have a volume license (under a state contract), but I should still be able to move the installation, shouldn't I?

Volume licenses don't require activation.

Sometimes you ned to apply more than one effect.
Look at Fast Color Corrector.

If it's a volume license then you will not see 'Deactivate' option.
You can simply unsinstall the software.

Hi everyone.......
I have Phtoshop CS5 installed on Windows XP 32 bit. Under the "help" in the program there is an topion for "deactivate". What is this for and when would I use this.
I plan on purchasing a new computer system in the next few months that will be Windows 7 64 bit. Will Photoshop CS5 run on the 64 bit Windows 7?
I know that I will have to uninstall Photoshop CS5 from my current computer before installing it on my new computer. Is the "deactivate" option used for this purpose? If so, how do I re-activate ( just by re-entering the serial number again)?

In the event that my computer's hard drive would fail or some other issue that would require that the hard drive would have to be reformatted and CS5 was not deactivated yet.....
when I would re-install CS5 on the same computer after the reformat, would that somehow be picked up a a second install and therefore at my limit for 2 activations? Do the two activations per license mean that CS5 can only be activated twice during the lifetime of that license regardless of the fact the the computer had to be reformatted?

Flash CS3 deactivate option not available

Hi,
I have a copy of Adobe Flash CS3 Professional installed on my work desktop. I'm soon going offsite for a couple of months during which period I'd be using my work laptop instead. My laptop does not have Flash CS3 on it, so I was hoping of transferring the license to the laptop.
I read somewhere that I need to deactivate the license on my desktop (using Help >> Deactivate license) before uninstalling it. Unfortunately, I don't see that option in the Help menu at all.
Could someone please help??

Looks like you might be using a multi-seat (or otherwise non-retail) version. You may have to contact Adobe Customer Support.

No deactivate option under help menu

I'm trying to deactivate my CS3 for Mac (to install on other machine) but neither PS, nor AI, nor ID have an option to Deactivate under the Help menu. Running OS 10.5.7 with latest updates. Any ideas? Image file showing my Help menu under PS CS3 is attached as .png.

We recently purchased 2 RoboHelp licenses. I am working on an automated install using the Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition and have done a test install and uninstall several times to a test PC. Now that I am ready to deploy to the end users, I tried to go back and deactivate the RoboHelp on my test PC before doing a final install, but the option is grayed out. I have read some references to this being due to using a volume license number. If this is the case, do I not need to worrry about deactivating for RoboHelp?

Can't deactivate or uninstall CS3 from old PC to put on new PC

Hi, I want to deactivate my CS3 master collection from my old PC and install it to my new PC but, I can't because I had previously tried to uninstall it (unsuccessfully). After clicking the uninstall button from the uninstall program window there was no uninstall window to guide me through the process. I waited for something to happen for about 90 minutes, but nothing happened. Now, after trying the uninstall, it won't let me open any of the programs and it still won't let me uninstall them from my old computer. I've already tried to install my CS3 master collection to my new computer but, it won't let me open any of the programs due to licensing issues. Every time I try to access any of the programs on my old PC, I get a dialogue box that states "licensing for this product has stopped working." To sum it up, I can't deactivate from any of the programs on my old PC since licensing issues (brought on from the unsuccessful uninstall) won't grant me access, and it still won't uninstall from my old computer. Help!

first, try re-installing on your old computer (over your current installation).
if you're lucky you'll be able to open a cs3 program > click help > click deactivate.
then open your win control panel and uninstall your cs3 from your old computer.
then uninstall, clean and reinstall cs3 from you new computer per - Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

Disable "Deactivate" option for all applications in CS4 Design Standard

I am deploying portions of the CS4 Design Standard Suite to a few hundred workstation with a volume license key.
I need to disable the option of "Deactivate" under the help menu. Using the CSDT the registration can be disabled
and after installation it is greyed out for the selected suite applications. We have users that will tamper with it
"just because" its there so removing access is essential. Ive tried adding <Data key="Deactivate">Suppress</Data>
to the AdobeUberInstall.xml with no success.

Well Bob the fact that its available makes people curious as to what it does. My feeling is that if its not present then that reduces a potential problem. The users are all over the country so its not possible for me to walk over to them and ask why they thought it necessary to deactivate the application. I am fully aware that VLK's dont need to be registered DUH! But thanks a lot for the stating the obvious and posting nothing useful.

To deactivate old photoshop cs3 serial code's

Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently stumbled upon 2 older photoshop CS3 boxes at our office.
when i tried to install one of these and activate use one of the two serial codes i got the error message saying the codes need to be deactivated first.
As far as i know it the codes are currently not in use by anyone in the office, al employees that use photoshop were upgraded to CS5 last year (wich we have 5 pcs.)
I have the following problems with the licences.
both of the photoshop CS3 serials are:
* not registrated to any of our employees
* not registrated to any of our pc / laptops
Now i am wondering how i can deactivate these two codes.

Prores422 export options?- cs3

Hi,
I have a prores422 ( mov wrapper ) file from a friend. I'm testing HD stuff so I know better what I am dealing with in order to build new computer and upgrade to CS5 ( soon as I have the $$ - 5 months ? ).
Meantime..using Cs3....I have this file and did some editing and I would like to export it as I frames only..no compression ( no predicted frames )...
Basically I'd like to export as the same type file, but since I'm a PC and prores is apple for fcp...this is not an option.
What is the best I can do from CS3 to keep the file specs ? It is a hdtv rec709 color space

ps...the timeline (project) I edited is 33 secs..but because of lead in / out images only appear for about 29 secs.

You are just experiencing the difference in how LR works with CS 3 over CS 4. With CS 3 the RAW file is first converted to a new file and then opened in PS. With CS 4 the RAW file is rendered in PS itself and the new file created when you save. Either way a file edited in PS will be a new file, it will not overwrite your original RAW file and you will have a new file named with whatever convention you have selected in the preferences, external editing dialog. I assume the addition on the -Edit is either the default name for externally edited files or the one you have chosen in the dialog.

Cannot find the Help Deactivate in Photoshop CS3.

I have CS3 installed on my work PC and my home PC. I need to uninstall one of them and move it temporarily to a laptop. From everything I've read, the Deactivate solution sounds like a very easy way to accomplish this. But cannot see Deactivate in the Help menu....it's just not there.
I had purchased the upgrade version of CS3 and installed it over prevoius version of Photoshop....all run XP.
How can I accomplish this?

It may be hidden if you have Photoshop set to other than the default workspace.

Laptop Crashed, Need to Deactivate/Reactivate - Adobe CS3

Recently I ran into a hard drive malfunction, and before I could deactivate the whole of Adobe CS3, my laptop crashed, and I had to swap out the hard drive. Needless to say, this is proving to be tedious, because I have no way to deactivate it now due to the new hard drive in my laptop. Is it possible to deactivate one of the licenses associated with Adobe CS3 so I can reactivate it on my laptop? It's the same laptop just a new hard drive. Specs are below, if necessary.

Model: Pavilion g6z-2200 CTO Notebook
Hard Drive: 500 gB (Replaced July 18, 2014 with new model)

How to deactivate unwanted Photoshop CS3 installations?

I posted the following question a couple of months ago:
"I still own a copy of Adobe CS3 Design Premium, but it is not currently installed on any computers as far as I know. Nevertheless, after installing Photoshop CS3 on my old G4 powerbook, I could not activate the program. Adobe thinks that there are two existing installations (the maximum allowed); but, in reality, there are none. Does Adobe have some way of remotely deactivating these supposed installations so that I can use my software? If so, who would I contact? If not, what else can I do?"
Someone suggested that I try the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool. This did not help. Someone else said that there would be a phone number on the "cannot activate" screen. There is no phone number.
Can someone please tell me who to call about this? Adobe telephone tech support won't talk to me unless I give them money, which I should not have to do.
Suggestions appreciated.

Call Adobe Technical Support and indicate that there is an activation issue. There is no charge to deal with this type of issue, even for much older versions. The right to activate the software is for totally open-ended, unless you already used the version of this software to upgrade to a newer version. If the initial agent gives you problems, insist on speaking with a supervisor.
