No default account for contacts

Iphone 4s with ios 7.0.4, no jail.
I have carddav account with baikal server and want to have default contacts from it. But the "default account" for contact is disappeared
Please, somebody tell me when I wrong?

If you do not have a "Default Account" box it is because only one account for the contacts exists on your device.

How do I modify the default account for events in iCal?

I have several email accounts (for biz&home) and I want to use them, depending on the event, as the account from where an invitation from iCal is sent. So if a have a football game with friends, I want to use my personal account when sending an iCal event. But when I want to make a biz meeting, I want to use my work account in that invitation. How or where can I make these selections/options appear? Is it possible?
If not, how can I set the default account for invitations in iCal? (I already have a "default" account in Mail, but iCal is not using that account for invitations).
Any help is appreciated

Although I select hotmail as my default account (it´s my personal) Iphone always takes my corporative account to send my emails when I attach a pic, video, or any attachments. I want the Iphone always use my personal account (hotmail) to send all the attachments.

Settings->Mail, Contacts,Calendars->Mail->Default Account should be set to the one you want to use.
You can also, when attaching Pics, Tap on the CC/Bcc From Line and then on From to choose an account to send the pictures from.

Mail using weird default account for new mail

I recently upgraded from Lion to Mountain Lion, and am having some trouble with Mail.
I have five email accounts: Comcast, two Gmail-based and two on an independent company's servers (Pair Networks).
When I'm in one of my inboxes and send a new email, the sending account is set correctly to that of the selected account. Likewise, if I respond to an email the sending account is set correctly.
BUT - if I am anywhere else and send a new email - unified inbox, local folder of filed mail, etc. - the sending account appears as a sixth option that doesn't exist in my settings anywhere. The dropdown to select a sender account now shows six options instead of the usual five, and this is the last one, and is selected.
The email address for that account happens to be the same as one of my accounts, but the name shown is strange.
The original account reads like:
Firstname Lastname <[email protected]>
This weird sixth account reads like:
"Firstname Lastname (s)" <[email protected]>
- adding quotes around the name and a parentheses s at the end of the name.
The original account is not the first in the list, nor the last. It is second. The first is a Gmail account - not sure if that is relevant.
iCloud is not enabled for Mail - all my devices do their own connecting to mail.
Soooo.....hmmm. What do folks think? Is there somewhere I should be able to set an overall default account, when a sending account can't be determined based on the selected folder?

The bogus account doesn't appear in the list. The original (Firstname Lastname <[email protected]>) does appear, as the second option in the dropdown list.

Always use default account for replays and forwards

Edit the SMTP (Outgoing Server Settings) server information and assign the details of second email address through which you want to send email.
You can also use the given VB code to perform this task:

E72 Default number for contact?

I'm wondering how to set the default phone number for selected contact, for example when it is more then one number associated to someone in contact book???

The default number setting has effect, please see the different scenario's below:
Scenario1: Open contact application -> highlight contact -> press right navi and select "Voice call" option -> call is established to assigned default number for voice call.
Scenario2: select contact directly from homescreen (using easy dialing feature) -> press call key -> call is established to assigned default number for voice call.
Scenario3: Open contact application -> highlight contact -> press call key -> list of contact number options is displayed with default number for voice calls highlighted -> press call key again to call to default number.
So in all scenarios the default setting has effect, only in scenario 3 it doesn't start the call with the default number instantly, but it highlights the default number.

Specify Account for contacts

While adding a new contact I am unable to choose what account should it be added. How can I set it up?
I have two Exchange accounts and I am only able to set up the preferred account for standard mail and standard calendar. For contacts I have not found a setting neither in the preferences of the Z10 nor while adding the contact.
I am using BB Z10 running OS 10.0.10.90, German language.

When creating a new contact on the BlackBerry Z10, it is automatically added to all of your Personal accounts, except in the case that you have a Work account configured and create the contact there.

I have my @gmail account for iTunes purchases, and my @me account for contacts/calendar, how do I approach iCloud and how will this affect me?

I know accounts cannot be merged. The @gmail account has existed for years before the @me account.
I haven't been able to set up my phone yet because I have absolutely no idea how this will affect me, when it was quite clear before.
How will this affect me in the future? What about when my @me service expires (I had just under a free year left)? What email should I link? What should I be worried about if kept separate or the same as they are now?
I still don't even understand what exactly iCloud does yet. If I set up my phone with whatever my iCloud account is, is it locked in? Since no credit card info or applications or purchases are associated with it, it will be of no use in that area.
I am absolutely confused on what I should do, and after spending 4 hours attempting to update my phone, am still stuck on having a useable device.

This point I don't quite understand. It is clear that:
   1) your additional 20gb are available only up to next summer
    2) the migrated account will be downgraded to a free account then.
    3) the purchased music and apps do NOT count in the 5 gb.
So, I don't know what you need the 20 gb in the "unused AppStore account" for. Your documents and emails are all on the 25 gb account.
I think, you can log into your non-me.com AppleID and change your e-mail address there without loosing what you purchased. So, I wonder what would happen if I put the me.com address there...

Regarding the me.com AppleID, you should make sure you have a secondary email account added there, otherwise it might be difficult to recover that account in case you cannot read the me.com email anymore. Interestingly, when I tried to put my non-me.com address there, it complained about that email already used by a different account. So, I guess if you try to put your gmail account there it will complain. So, you probably need a third independant email account....

Family account for contacts but with same apple ID - iCloud use

Hi, I am writing to ask what the best way to setup a multiple contacts account using the same apple ID for iCloud. My wife and I both use the same apple ID for our iPhones as well as our iMac and iPad. I would like to be able to have my contacts on my iPhone and iPad and have my wife's contacts on her iPhone (and obviously having both our contacts on our iMac for backup and reference). I have read some forums suggesting creating a "family" apple ID accout for some iCloud stuff where I could have my contacts linked to and then having our existing apple ID for her to use. We share calenders, downloaded apps/purchases and some Documents and Data (Money app) - all of which I would like to keep the way I have described. I would just like to be able to have my contacts and her contacts separate for iCloud purposes. I read something about the primary and second account settings in the Mail/Contacts/Calenders but it isn't very clear. I seem to

Setting default account for sending email

I have 4 accounts I use for sending email, but would like to have one be the default and can't figure how to do that. there is a check box next to the outgoing server dropdown that says use only this account. I don't think that is what I want, nor am i clear what that would do.
Is there a way to set a preferred outgoing account?
Does that require a plug in or helper app of some sort.

Hi,
maybe the word "contact" is irritating. I am talking about sales activity, which are contacts in most cases. (Transaction VC01N)
In the sales activity document you can find a set of general texts, that are customized in VOTXN.
Still I do not know how to create a default text (content for the field), that appears in every sales activity as a standard.
If anybody has an idea, I would be very greatful!

Is there a way to change the default "New Contact" screeen to always shown job title? I hate having to create a contact, then go in and modify it, and add a field (being job title).

Default Account for Notes & To Do's?

Is there a way to have new to do's and notes appear in a default email account? Mine seem to go to random locations, including "on my Mac."

In Mail, go to Preferences... Composing... and change the option next to "Create Notes and To Do's in:" to a specific account.
It defaults to "Account of last viewed mailbox" hence the perceived randomness.
