No delta for Datasource

In RSA3, I am not able to extract the delta for the datasource 0GM_DO05. But when it is on full update then i am gettign the records, when i changed to "D" it is giving me the error 'Errors occurred during the extraction' and the error messege says
"Errors occurred during the extraction
Message no. RJ012
I have checked Datasource in the ROOSOURCE Table for this datasource the DELTA IS - ADD
It works ok in DEV and QA but my PROD is where the problem is.
Can anyone help?

I have been doing full loads with no problems but when I try to initialise with no data transfer, thats when my problem starts.
So what I did was to go to the source system and changed the extractor checker to D or S update modes. The error occurs in RSA6. I will try to run the extraction again in debug mode an dsee if there is anything I can find.
I have given the datasource as well.
Any other ideas?

Data Extraction.Init & Delta for datasource 0CRM_CONF_COSTS ControllingData

Dear Experts,
We are facing problem with Data Extraction for BW. Prerequisites all checked and done.
No data for Initial & Delta upload for datasource 0CRM_CONF_COSTS,
0CRM_SRV_CO_PLAN and 0CRM_C_ITEM
Other related data source 0CRM_SRV_COSTS and 0CRM_SERVICE_COSTS we are getting data.
Request your help on this issue.

yes we did enhancement to this data source. In PRDOCTION its taking 27 hours time to load data.
For extraction from source system (CRM) its taking nearly 24 hours time as per JOb LOG .

How to enable delta for Datasource 0HR_PT_1

Hi BW Gurus,
I am trying to extract records for the period from 01/05/2007 to 01/02/2007. But it is extracting all the full update records instead of extracting only this period records. I checked in R/3 using RSA3. Here it is displaying only 188 records for this period. So please suggest me how to get only this period records or else how can I enable delta to get modified/newly added records.
Plz suggest me as it is urgetnt.

Delta not working for datasource 0CRM_SRV_IBASE_TRAN

Hi All
We are facing problem with setting up delta for datasource 0CRM_SRV_IBASE_TRAN after transporting to QA system.
In QA System:
a.Initialization and Full load has worked successfully and it did fetch the
records.
b.But the newly created records are not coming through delta.
c.Moreover delta is working in Dev but not in QA environment. All the transports
have gone in successfully from Dev to QA system.
d.Only difference we found between dev & QA is: Datasource not listed in SMQ1(Outbound Queue) whereas it is listed in Dev System
We have already checked & ensure that following things are in order:
Source System Checks:
1.Init successfully in place. Entry present in RSA7.
2.SMW01 checked.
3.BWA5 & BWA7 checked.
4.GNRWB checked
5.No entry present in SMQ1 in QA system but its present in Dev system???
BW Checks:
6.Datasource replication done. Info source activated.
Would appreciate any help on this.

Hi Pramod,
SMQ1 will only show an entry, when there are available data for the delta queue, i.e. someone has made a change or added new data.So checking RSA7 and SMQ1 will give the same result, if RSA7 shows more than 0 entries.
The problem may be the init. What init did you do: an init with data, or an init without data, or an init with a filter. Experience with our CRM system tells me, best way to initialize any CRM data is to do a full data init (without filter) or a init without data (without filter). I wonder about the FULL load you mentioned ? When did you do it ?

I am currently working on CRM Extraction. I am using the datasource 0CRM_SERVICE_CONFIRM_I datasource. I have loaded the data to ODS.I am trying run Init delta without data transfer.
While running, i am getting the error message as
-> Activation of M records from DataStore object 0CRM_CNFI terminated
-> Full updates already available in DSO 0CRM_CNFI; Cannot update init./delta
Can u please provide me how to enable delta for CRM Datasources.

Hi, Please help me to find the Safety intervals for delta for different datasources in RSA7 or in table ROOSPRMSC. Like for FI_GL_10 I know it is 60 mins but where do I see this. I checked Note 380078, Please let me know this specific answer to the question asap.

Not getting the data for delta for 0ASSET_ATTR_TEXT in RSA3

Diagnosis
During the extraction phase an error occurred for the extractor. An exception, 'error_passed_to_mess_handler' was triggered.
System Response
A more precise description of the error can be found in the log.
Procedure
Check the function module or the call from the extractor check program

I have checked Datasource in the ROOSOURCE Table for this datasource the DELTA IS - AIE. And do did the Init from the BW i got 8210 recods.Then i executed the Delta Pack. there was an error happend.
But When i loaded Delta i got the error as :
Diagnosis
         Not all the initialization requests have been completed yet for this
    DataSource, or there may be an incorrect initialization request.
System response
No delta requests can be processed whilst there is an initialization
    request that has not been completed.
Procedure                                                     Wait until the initialization request has finished, or delete the entry
    for the incorrect initialization request from the corresponding display
    in the Scheduler.

Using Transformations with Delta enabled Datasources

Hi,
I have a delta enables datasource which uses incremental update to my infoCube.
In order to populate some fields in the cube I used a transformation routine for a couple of these fields to do some lookups from some tables.
The problem that I am encountering is that when the delta update runs its only updates the directly assigned fields it does not also update the routine delivered fields.
Is there a way to get this to work or is it impossible?

The routines work fine for full load as the data is replaced with new data each time.
What I need to happen is I am using a SAP standard content datasource with delta enabled on the datasource and when loading from datasource to Cube all the 0 fields are updating correctly but my Z fields which i update with routines do not seem to be replaced.
Please advise of anyway to get this to work

How to initialize delta for a new data target

Hi
I have an ODS from which there are several other targets getting updated thru an export datasource. The delta initialization happend some 6 months back. I now have a new ODS into which i need to load the data from the original ODS. How can i initialise the delta to my new target without changing the delta initialization of the other targets and continue the delta for all of them together?
can i use the same initialization for my new target??
If i do a full update and then a initialise w/o data transfer, will the further delta bring the data from the correct point, is there a possiblity of data loss??

Hi Ajay,
the steps are as follows.
1 delete the initialization. open infopackage >> menu scheduler >> Initialization options for source systems >> delete the request thats there.
2. Now go to the Update tab of the infopack >> select option Initialize Delta process >> check the option initialize without Data transfer
3. Goto Schedule tab and start the job.
here the data targets will be all the targets the infopack loads.
4. Create a new infopack
5. goto Data targets tab >> select data targets >> put a check on your new ODS/Cube
6. Goto Update tab >> select the option Full update
7. goto menu Scheduler >> select Repair full request >> put a check on Indicate request as Repair Request >> hit OK
8. Goto schedule tab >> start the job.
9. Continue with the existing Delta infopack that was load the old ODS/Cubes and make sure your new ODS/Cube is also cheked for the delta.

Problem in delta for material master

Hi all,
We are using "0material_attr" as data source.Till now we were loading data for material using full update mode.
Now we want to change the update mode from delta update mode.
So we initialized update for material in BW using " initialize without data transfer " update mode. Now for testing i have changed couple of material in R/3 ... but nothing is getting extracted in BW.
then i checked in R/3 in "rsa6" there is tick for delta update and then i checked in rsa3 to simultate the delta process but its not allowing me to change from "F" to "D".
So how to proceed if i want move from full to delta for my material master data ??

if this is delta capable then make first full load and then init without data transfer and then changes some recopds in r/3 and load whether those records are coming in r/3 or not

Hi Venkat,
If you are using a Custom DataSource/Extractor the main problem is that you are collecting data from a lot of tables, so it is really difficult to determine a field for the delta.
If for you is important only a change at Key Fields Table (EKBE) you can set the Generic Delta only on a field of this table (Doc Number or Position Number - Date - Timestamp).
But if you are interested in all changes you have to determine a single field for every tables...
I think it is really difficult to find a delta in all these tables.
Maybe you can think to use in BW an ODS without Reporting BEx flag to determine Delta, and then introduce delta records in a Cube.

When you want to customize existing datasources at R/3 sides then you can do that with customer exits.
Suppose if you want to add a column to the existing datasource then you will use append structures (Transaction SBIW-> Edit Data sources - Enhance Datasource) then to fill the column you will write the code in these Exits.
There are 4 types of Exits available.Function Group (XRSA)
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 Customer Function Call for Supplying Transaction Data
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002 Customer Function Call for Supplying Master Data (Attributes)
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_003 Customer Function Call for Supplying Text
EXIT_SAPLRSAP_004 Customer Function Call for Supplying Hierarchies
As you are aware there 4 types since the datasources in R/3 are predefined to fill the data of BW viz, attributes,Text,Hierarchy and Transaction.

The error is triggered in the process chain, the request is already green, how do i resolve this, i already tried RSRQ is showed the request green, do you have any more idea to resolve this?

Hi Ver Baylon,
After having deleted the request in the manage ODS you should run DTP not the info package again. Better yet I think you should do the following steps.
1. Double click on the corresponding info package. Then go to scheduler on the top left tab of the window and click on the initialization options for source system. There delete all the queues that exist.
2. Manage the PSA and delete all the requests
3. Delete form manage the DSO all the requests from the DSO.
Then go to the info package in the update tab and do a Initialize without data transfer
In the next step do a delta update.
After that execute a full DTP.
Check the results then

Generic delta for master data

Hi All,
I am trying to create a generic delta for master data "equipment" . table in SASP is "EQUI". I am choosing ALE delta . in that I have to provide table name and "changed doc object' . when I give "equi" as table name and "aedat" (changed on ) as "changed doc object' -
it is throwing error.
also when I tried for time satmp /calday delta , the delta doesnot work when changeed are done. don't know why?
Any idea what has to be given in these fields.

Hello,
TCDOB is a table where you need to maintain entries for Generic Detla.
Please goto SE16 : enter table name TCDOB
In the selection Screen Enter Object as EQUI and check the Number Of Entries..
I guess you need to maintain the number of fields on which the change is dependent for Detla ()
I treid creating the same Datasource Using Ale Detla
It worked and saved without errors :
i have the following entries in TCDOB table
OBJECT          TABNAME
EQUI            EQKT
EQUI            EQUI
EQUI            EQUZ
EQUI            FLEET
EQUI            ILOA
Please tell me your count and entries..
so that we can discuss this Further
Also if you find if there are no entries then you can Go to SCDO tcode and maintain entries with respect to change object.
