No destination for reinstalling OS X?
I'm hoping this is the right forum for this. I just recently had some issues with bootcamp. It didn't create a second partition, and so when I tried to install Windows XP, everything just messed up. I finally got myself out of the constant loop of 'Windows XP' restarting itself over and over and over again, only to find that it whiped out my OS X. So I grabbed my OS X CDs that came with my Macbook, and attempted to reinstall it. Unfortunately, when it told me to 'Choose a Destination' for the installation, nothing showed up. What do I do?
I'd like some really quick help, if possible.
Perhaps you should consider calling AppleCare Support or bring your MacBook into an Apple retail store to visit the Mac Genius? This kind of troubleshooting over the forums may take quite a bit longer than it would if someone was actually stepping you right through everything...

My iMac won't start up, or wake from sleep. I've tried everything, except for reinstalling the SO-DIMM memory modules. Still, my iMac will not wake up. Turning it on, you can hear the fan run, but the display stays dark. Any ideas what to do? Thanks!
Mac doesn't boot
Can you hear the fans and hard drive and see the white boot screen? Flashing question mark? The circle just runs and nothing happens? Only black screen and nothing else? These can be very helpful to diagnose the source of the problem. [1]
Flashing question mark [2]: This is usually a sign of a failed hard drive. This indicates that boot up volume can not be found.
Black screen: This is usually a sign of a failed logic board. There is no single reason for this and this may be caused by failed GPU, screen, CPU or RAM.
Circle of death/no circle/blue screen: This is usually a sign of a hard drive failure. This may NOT be a dead hard drive, just broken permissions or something
Gray screen/Apple logo/spinning gear or globe/prohibitory sign/folder with flashing question mark [3]: This could be a sign of faulty hardware but more likely a software issue, i.e. broken permissions, failed software update, etc.
[edit]
What to do
First, hold down the option key (also known as the alt key) just after you've pressed the power button. This should show all the available options to boot from, so if you have Windows installed through Bootcamp or a disk in your SuperDrive, you should be able to see them along with your OS X drive/partition. Select the OS X partition with arrow keys and press enter. Startup key combinations
If that doesn't help continue doing the steps from below:
1. SMC reset [4]. Shut down and unplug all cables including power cord for at least 30 seconds and then plug in power cord and keyboard/mouse.
2. PRAM reset [5]. Hold down option, command, P and R while booting. Start it when you hear the sound and don't let go before it reboots.
3. Safe boot [6]. Hold down shift while booting to boot into safe mode. If this works, open Disk Utility from Utilities and repair your permissions and verify the disk
4. Hardware test [7]. Insert the install disk (disk 1 in Mac which shipped with OS X 10.5.4 or earlier, disk 2 if shipped with OS X 10.5.5 or newer) and hold down "D" before the grey boot screen opens. Follow on screen instructions
5. Boot from install disk. Boot from the disk that came with your Mac. Hold C while booting. Select Disk Utility from top bar and repair permissions and verify the disk. Reboot normally and see if it works now.
6. Boot from another Mac (Firewire target disk mode). Connect the machines with a Firewire cable. Power on your Mac and press T. Select the other Mac's hard drive. Download the current OS X combo update. Run the combo update installer and select the drive that won't boot as the destination.
7. "Repair" OS X. Boot from the install disk as in point 5. and reinstall OS X. This should NOT erase any data, just replaces the system files which may have caused your booting problem. Now install the latest combo update for OS X and repair permissions on your drive with Disk Utility.
7.1. Install OS X into an external hard drive and then boot from it [8] and try to copy your data from the hard drive before proceeding. If you have done a backup recently, you don't have to do this.
8. Restore OS X from Time Machine backup. Boot from the disk that came with your Mac and choose the Time Machine restore option. This step will lose any changes made since your last backup but the system and your data will be put back to exactly as it was on that date.
8.1 Reinstall OS X. Boot from the install disk as in point 5. and select Disk Utility again. Now erase the whole hard drive and install OS X again. If you had a Time Machine backup and step 7 worked you don't have to do this. -

How to create a RFC destination for extracting data to HANA
Hello All,
Could someone help me in providing a document or note on how to create a RFC destination for extracting data from SAP data source to HANA using SAP LT replication server ?
I am able to create a data base connection while transforming data from non SAP data source,but wasnt able to transform data which is from SAP abap tables .Hi Venkatesh,
In SM59 t.code we create RFC destinations.

How can I have a custom output file destination for each different preset?
Hey guys,
I have a bunch of presets in AME but I need to have each preset export to it's own folder. How can I do that? This was a really simple thing to do in Compressor but in Media Encoder is seems like I can only specify one output file destination for the whole application in general and everything gets exported to that folder. Can anyone help me with that please?This is a user to user forum. It is not staffed by Adobe employees so you will not always get a direct response from Adobe.
That being said, the output destination is not tied to the presets so this is not possible without a little extra work. You can change multiple output destinations by selecting multiple jobs and then clicking on one of the output locations to update them all. Another way to set this up would be to use watch folders.
This is a feature request are aware of but if you would like to add your vote for it, please add that request here: Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form -
Creation of RFC destination for SAP-Access Connectivity
Hi,
I want to create a RFC destination for SAP-Access connectivity.
Can I get some help regarding it's connection type,activation type and gateway options required for the same.
Regrads,
Anthony D'souzaHi
Please see the following:
1. Create an entry in Trxn DBCA for SQL Server in SAP, you are creating a database connection for the SQL server in SAP.
2. You use this connection, and write Native SQL stmnts...between EXECSQL...ENDEXEC to fetch the data..and then normal ABAP statements to put that data into your ztable.
TABLE DBCON Entry can be like this...depends on your External database..
CON_NAME Raj Logical name for connection
DBMS MSS Microsoft SQL Server
USER_NAME <User name> For SQL Server
PASSWORD <password> " "
CON_ENV MSSQL_SERVER=<server> MSSQL_DBNAME=<database name>
DB_RECO Availability type for an open database connect
FUNCTION z_houston_connect.
""Local interface:
EXEC SQL.
CONNECT TO 'RAJ' AS 'V'
ENDEXEC.
EXEC SQL.
SET CONNECTION 'V'
ENDEXEC.
*- Get the data from MS-SQL Server
EXEC SQL.
open C1 for
select
l.loc_id,
l.loc_name,
a.acc_id,
a.acc_name,
d.person
from ho_loc_mast as l
inner join snd_acc_mast as a on l.loc_id = a.loc_id
inner join snd_acc_addr as d on a.loc_id = d.loc_id and
a.acc_id = d.acc_id
where l.loc_id = '001'
ENDEXEC.
DO.
EXEC SQL.
FETCH NEXT C1 into :wa-c_locid, :wa-c_locname, :wa-c_acc_id, :wa-c_acc_name, :wa-c_person
ENDEXEC.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
PERFORM loop_output.
ELSE.
EXIT.
ENDIF.
ENDDO.
EXEC SQL.
CLOSE C1
ENDEXEC.
ENDFUNCTION.

RFC destination for Sender System in R/3 4.6c
Hi All,
I am trying create a RFC destination in R/3 4.6 system which will be used as sender RFC communication channel in Xi scenario. However i dont seem to have all the options such as activation type,gateway host and service which used to be there in SAP Enterprise or mySAP ERP systems. Can some one guide me to create an RFC destination in 4.6 system that will be used as a sender RFC system?Hi Arul,
One more important point u have missed.
Program ID,
When ur configuring sender service from RFC,The most important point is Program ID.
Use some name and create it.Use the same name in SM59.
s such its very crucial .Activate them .make sure the destination for that programID is what u expect.

Dynamic destinations for adaptive web service in webdynpro for java
Hi,
Please advice me on how to create dynamic destination for adaptive web service model in webdynpro for java.
Regards,
PatanaHi,
If this is the case, then use the HTTP destination for this.
What you need to do is:
1. Create one HTTP destination in visual administrator at services-> Destinations. Provide HTTP url of the your web service and the security options.
2. Specify this HTTP destination in the code before executing web service model.
Write following code for that:
wdContext.current<node name>Element().modelobject()._setHTTPDestination(<Specify HTTP destination name>);
Then execute your web service model.
Now, whenever you want to change the server on which your web service is running, make change in the HTTP Destination in visual administrator.

No destination for Integration Server found - XI 2.0
Hello,
I have developed a few java proxies and have had good luck using the jpf.properties file. Now, as we would like to set up more of a production scenario we are in need of moving over to the dbconnect.properties and technicalID.properties. The problem is when switching over to these files I received the "No destination for Integration Server found" error. So first off I would like to make sure we have the files configured correctly.
dbconnect.properties
hostname=xipsys
systemNumber=03
user=xiusr
password=xipswd
client=300
language=EN
... the dbconnect.properties file is correct I believe.
technicalID.properties
SAPTechnicalSystemIdentification=TS_MyTechnicalSystemName.SystemHome.MyPCName
... the TS_MyTechnicalSystemName is the technical system that I created in the SLD. MyPCName is my computer name as this is where I'm running the java proxies from.
First off, does it look like my files are configured properly?
Second, in the SLD I've configured my technical system and also a business system with similar names and specified the host as MyPCName. Is this correct?
I've also noticed that when I remove the files completely from my system I get the exact same error message however they are in the right location and have the correct names. Is there anyway to get a better error message out of the system? I know the files are in the right location cause if I use the jpf.properties in that location it works.
thx
XI 2.0Well it's getting a lot closer. I'm getting a different error now and its showing up in tx SXMB_MONI. The error I get is...
ROUTING.NO_SENDER:Unable to find a sender
In the monitor it shows that there was a message pushed but it's red flagged and there is no sender/receiver information. Is there anything else I need to add to the java proxies?
The following is my latest configuration ....
dbconnect.properties looks like
hostname=myXIServer
systemNumber=03
user=XILDUSER
password=password
client=300
language=EN
technicalID.properties
SAPTechnicalSystemIdentification=TS_myTechSys.SystemHome.BS_myBizSys
In the SLD I have TS_myTechSys defined as a "SAP Standalone Java System" on myComputer.mydomain.com.
Also in the SLD, I have defined BS_myBizSys as a "Java System" and belongs to the TS_myTechSys Technical System.
In the exChange Profile under ApplicationSystem I have the following defined
com.sap.aii.applicationsystem.serviceuser.language
com.sap.aii.applicationsystem.serviceuser.name
com.sap.aii.applicationsystem.serviceuser.pwd
com.sap.aii.proxy.framework.connection.timeoutInMSec
com.sap.aii.proxy.framework.destination
com.sap.aii.proxy.framework.destination.client
In addition I also get the following error sometimes...
JPF loadProfileProperties() - Could not access Exchange Profile: java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: JCO.classInitialize(): Could not load middleware layer '
com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC'
no sapjcorfc in java.library.path
I have this file as a dll in the same directory as all the jar's.
in addition XILDUSER is part of the following group
SAP_BC_AI_LANDSCAPE_DB_RFC
Should that user have more permission?
Any ideas?
XI 2.0
One more note, I am running my WebApp from an instance of Tomcat 4.1. This is where the Java Proxies are running and it works fine using the jpf.properties. Some of the documentation I've recently found has said that it needs to be running on a SAP J2EE engine which we will not be able to do in the end.

RFC destination for your third-party tool
Hello SAP Guru's,
I have recently established external db connect for an iseries database. Now developers wants to use the open hub destination to extract data to non-SAP systems. They are using API: RSB_API_OHS_3RDPARTY_NOTIFY to connect a third-party tool to the BI system and use this third-party tool to distribute data to other non-SAP systems. To do so they need RFC destination for the third party tool. Could you tell me which RFC connection i have to use in SM59 ? I mean is it ABAP connection or TCP/IP connection or HTTP connection to external server?
I would highly appreciate any help on this.
FYI:
I have already gone through below help link:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/43/8de3f4743b22a8e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htmThis will be of type TCP/IP.
You will need to create an RFC server application on the thirdparty system, and implement this function there. You will need to define that server application in your RFC destination definitions (host/Program).
You may need to read up RFC server help documentation; you can also browse the SAPGUI subfolders for RFC server sample applications and C code (if you have installed GUI in full, there should be such subfolders on your PC). You can also ask for help on 'application server' or 'abap' forums for this. -
No defineded RFC destination for global trade service----urgency!!!!
how can i resolve this problem for [<b>STOP]</b> Message, just on one sever, not connect any other R/3 system, when i execute mb1c,input a material information, and try to save the input messages , the system pop up the [<b>stop</b>] error:
<b> no defineded RFC destination for global trade service</b>
my system enviroment is:
win2003 server + db2 8.2 + sap ecc5Hi,
When you post an R/3 material document, the processing terminates with a system message indicating that no RFC destination has been maintained for Global Trade Services GTS.
This system message is unjustified since SAP GTS has not actually been activated.
This is caused by a program error.
Please read the notes-825448, and do the necessary corrections.
Hope this helps you out.
