For about 18 days or so our firmware repo was taken off line and customers were not able to automatically download firmware. The issues has been fixed. Note that during that time you still could have manually uploaded firmware.

  • DFSR Replication Event ID 1202 The DFS Replication service failed to contact domain controller Additional Information: Error: 160 (One or more arguments are not correct.)

    Hi,
    hummmm...
    The client had 1 Server with AD and All Apps, IIS, Terminal Servers (30 device Cal), File Server, SQL2008R2 on it
    Task: Install new AD server promote it to DC,  bring in 2nd server, Replicate the File Server (DFSR) on these 2 servers, and demote it to standard server.
    1) Old AD with name "Server" with OS-2008R2 SP1 and is a DC.
    2) Brought in a new server "PrimaryAD", Installed 2008R2, done DC Promo, and added it as Additional Domain controller
    3) Transferred roles from old server "Server" to "PrimaryAD"
    4) Brought in a new File Server replicating server "Backup-Server"
    5) Copied all the data from Server to Backup-server as DFS initial file sync with robocopy
    6) here the problem started, after the copy finished, next morning the "Server" server crashed.....
    7) thank god the data was backed up on Backup-server. but we didnt get the time to Demote the server "Server" and remove AD from it.
    8) Since AD was replicated so "PrimaryAD" was are DC, brought 2nd Server "SecondaryDC" as additional domain controller.
    9) we cleaned up the metadata and used ASIEDIT to clean the remaining stuff.
    10) the "Server" server was formatted and renamed as "Primary-Server" and OS2008R2 SP1 was installed with rest of required apps
    11) so now the PrimaryAD the DC, SecondaryAD the Additional Domain controller, Primary-Server the mail server and File server, the Backup-server, the replicated server.
    Now configured DFS Replication from Primary-Server to Backup-server and receive following Event ID 1202
    If i Configure DFS Replication as follows
    PrimaryAD <<>> SecondaryAD -= Works... no errors...
    PrimaryAD <<>> Backup-Server = Creates but Dosent works Event ID 5012, error The DFS Replication service failed to communicate with partner BACKUP-SERVER, Additional Information: Error: 9026 (The connection is invalid)
    PrimaryAD <<>> Primary-Server = Dosent creates replication job just hangs,
    on primaryad continious Eveni ID 10009, DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer "SERVER" using any of the configured protocols
    ......something on PrimaryAD is still trying to connect to old corrupt AD server "Server"
    No errors with AD replication, SYSVOL & Netlogon shares also working fine and accessible.
    DFS Diagnose report says

    Can anyone point me to any direction which can lead to resolution of this ERROR and make DFS_R work..

    Hi,
    It seems that DCPROMO did its work without complaints, still the DFSR references remained in AD. You could refer to the article below to clean up the DFS Replication object.

  • Is it possible to login into the Java instance without password's input, using only my Windows workstation authorization?

    Dear Sirs,
    I try to do an authorization to my NW 7.3 Java instance through my Windows domain authorization.
    I done:
    1) Create connection to LDAP-server and tested it.
    2) Add windows domain certificate to TrustedCAs
    3) Configure SPnego
    Now, I can to login in my NW7.3 Java instance with my windows password, but however I must to input password when I open NW7.3 Java homepage.
    Is it possible to login into the Java instance without password's input, using my windows workstation login/password?
    What I have to do for that?
    I use Windows XP on my workstation and IE 8.0.6 & Chrome 38.0.2125.
    Best regards,
    Alexey Lugovskoy

  • Mid-2010 Macbook Pro 13" Sleep Problems

    Recently, whenever my Macbook goes to sleep, it is unresponsive when I try to wake it up. I have to hold down the power button for a few seconds and force quit it with no indication that it is off, however, when I press the power button again, it turns on. But it doesn't turn on how it normally should. It does a double-take startup. The disk drive (or whatever it is that makes the sound at the startup) makes the sound and the screen pops up white, but after about a second, it goes out, almost as if it force quit itself, but after about another second, it turns on normally and since I put in a Samsung SSD about 3 months ago, it boots right up in a matter of seconds.
    So far, this kind of stuff has been tolerable but probably not good for my computer.
    But the worst case happened tonight when I put my Macbook into sleep mode. I was gone for about an hour and 20 minutes and when I got back to my computer and opened up the lid, it was pretty hot and the fans were probably running between 4000 and 5000 rpm. All this was happening when the computer was supposed to be in sleep mode and again, when I opened it up nothing appeared on the screen and it was unresponsive. This time when I force quit, I knew when it worked because I could here the fans turn off. I manually clicked Sleep this time, but I think this happened a few days ago too when I simply closed the lid to put it in sleep mode, however the computer wasn't running this hot.
    I'm hoping it isn't the Logic Board and just maybe a software issue, but I have a strong feeling it isn't the software. I'm running Mavericks 10.9.5 so I'm hoping that an upgrade to Yosemite might fix it, but I doubt it.
    I've already had to replace the battery, logic board, disk drive, trackpad, and I'm on my 3rd hard drive, and this computer is only 4 and a half years old. Thankfully, Apple Care covered most of the costs and basically none of the issues were due to my neglect, but it is out of warranty now. I would like to think I just got a bad computer right out of the box.

  • Wikis, OD Masters, and a "What if" Question

    I have several Xserves running 10.5.3, one has an established website and external IP, the others are accessible on the internal network. The public IP server is a OD replica; one of the internal servers is the OD Master. I have been attempting to ignore the Web Administration caveat that wiki and ical servers must be on the OD Master with limited success, at least with the wiki part.
    What if I made the external IP server, currently an OD replica, into a subordinate OD Master? Would this be doable? Would it enable properly running wiki and ical on the external IP server? I really do not want to remove the existing (internal) OD Master server....
    Page 69 of the Open Directory Admin manual says:
    You can use cross-domain authorization between an Active Directory server and a Mac OS X v10.5 Open Directory server or between two Mac OS X v10.5 Open Directory servers. Cross-domain authorization does not work on a Mac OS X v10.4 server. To use PAC information, the pseudomaster server must have a Kerberos realm for the subordinate server to join.
    To become a subordinate for a directory system you must use Directory Utility to join your server to an Active Directory or Open Directory server that has Kerberos configured and running. Then, using Server Admin, you must promote your Open Directory server to an Open Directory master. The subordinate server automatically determines that it is subordinate to an Active Directory or Open Directory server and configures itself accordingly.
    Has any one done this? Problems? Does it accomplish the goal of having functioning wikis and ical server on the external IP server together with the existing internal OD Master server? Will I end up with conflicting systems? Will the LDAP directory become a mess?
    Thoughts, suggestions, etc., would be sincerely appreciated.

    Since this is about "what if's"... what if you tried to run it on a Virtual PC, then made an image of that VPC, then put that image on a different volume?
    Just curious

  • How to use winnt(or win2k) as cvs server?

    thank u very much

    There is no problem to use regular cvs.exe compiled for windows. This solution provides only pserver user authorization. However there is a project that allows to do domain authorization in cvs. Here is URL: http://www.cvsnt.org/

  • Autodiscovery fail : frame location not found

    Hi,
    I'm trying to run the UCWA March 2014 Samples on my Lync 2013 server
    I get the alert "Autodiscover fail" due to the error "frame not found" : no "xframe" on the server.

    Is there a 'X-Ms-Origin' present in the requests to the internal/external location?  Can you verify that the value is present in the cross-domain authorization list (Get-CsWebServiceConfiguration | select -ExpandProperty CrossDomainAuthorizationList)?
    If not, I suggest taking a look at
    ITAdmin-Configuration for information on adding/editing what values are on the cross-domain authorization list.

    Subject: Client accessing MBeanHome for more than one domain receives
    SecurityException

    Hi,
    When a client accesses MBeans of more than one domains (Weblogic 8.1)
    that have
    different passwords, it receives a SecurityException. This occurs when
    the MBeanHome
    for each domain is looked up at initialization and reused for each
    request ( to
    access MBeans ). The security exception does not occur if the MBeanHome
    for each
    domain is looked up for each request. On initial review, this behavoir
    seems inconsistent.
    Looking up the MBeanHome for each request may introduce a significant
    overhead.
    I am not sure if concurrent lookups would also cause the same problem.
    I have read on another post that we can work around this problem by
    establishing
    a trust relationship between the servers, but this may not be feasible
    when one
    is monitoring a lot of servers and the overhead of configuration may be
    an issue.
    I have attached code that can reproduce the problem.
    Please advise on the correct approach.
    Thanks
    Dinesh Bhat

    * Note: the exception is caused only when the MBeanHome for each domain is cached and used for subsequent

    * would significant overhead in practice. Also the transactions across the various domains occurs serially, hence
    * the effect of concurrent lookups has to be tested.
    * Usage:
    * This class has been tested with weblogic 8.1
    * The class needs weblogic.jar in its classpath
    * One can specify the weblogic details as System properties. The properties need to be specified in
    * the following format:
    * wls.host.n, wls.userId.n, wls.password.n where n is the weblogix instance number. Also specify
    * the boolean system property reconnect.each.iteration to toggle between reconnecting or not reconnecting
    * for each iteration. When not reconnecting for each iteration, the MBeanHome is reused and the Security Exception
    * occurs.
    * Following is the example of system properties
    * -Dwls.host.0=localhost:7001 -Dwls.userId.0=weblogic -Dwls.password.0=weblogic
    * -Dwls.host.1=localhost:7011 -Dwls.userId.1=weblogic -Dwls.password.1=weblogic1
    * -Dwls.host.2=localhost:7021 -Dwls.userId.2=weblogic -Dwls.password.2=weblogic2
    * -Dreconnect.each.iteration=false

    1.Is it possible to set password in session,header or cookie in response of authorization policy of application domain in oam 11g?
    OR
    2.Is there any way to pass password as encrypted as header,session or cookie to protected web resource with 10g webgate?

  • User DOMAIN / user has no access authorization for computer IP_address

    Dear Forum,
    When running a function module FTP_CONNECT with RFC destination SAPFTPA (in SM59). I always get a message "User <DOMAIN>/<user> has no access authorization for computer <IP_address>". Trying it with IE, I have no problem.
    There is always an event viewer security failure log when I try it:

    Bought a new computer, and new ipod 160 GB. I went to sync all my music and it's telling me that the computer isn't authorized. I authorize it, by going to store and authorize this computer, and it still won't let me sync these songs

    Think you got to reboot or relaunch iTunes after the Authorization.
    but here is the Apple support Article on Authorization and sync to iPod

    After some test it make that for all projects I create... Have you got any idea about this problem ?
    Thank you
