You should have received a service statement, either via email or with the replacement iPhone. That's all the "proof of purchase" Apple can provide that I know of. If you did not receive any sort of statement or paperwork showing that the iPhone was replaced, contact Apple technical support and ask if they can send you something.

It is widely known that the IOS6 software is available for most Iphones from today, but for some reason this does not seem to be the case, why is this? and when is the new software available?

September 19th, Today, is widely communicated as being the day that the IOS6 Software for the Iphone 4s will be available to replace IOS5.1.1 BUT, I have been trying to update it all day and it still currently says the software is up to date on IOS5.1.1 ? what is going on, is it out today? if not when will it be available?
is anyone else having this issue?

Honestly, I have not even bothered to try to get it yet. I'll do it this coming weekend, when I can do it at my liesure (my iPhone is also my only phone, so I never leap into any update immediately - I like to let the dust settle a bit and see just how it goes - let others be my beta-testers, as it were).

Purchased iPhone From ATT, Warranty question

i Purchased my iPhone from an authorized AT&T retail store Because it was basically impossible to find one in any of the apple stores in my area. i was wondering if i still have the one year warranty plan from apple that covers the phone and if i will be able to extend it when the year is done for? and if i happen to have to return it or get it fixed can i take it to an apple store with the att receipt?

And you would need to do what thru at&t? Activating an iPhone must be done with iTunes thru at&t - this part is correct.
An iPhone purchased in the U.S. at an Apple Store, the Apple online store (free shipping), an at&t store or at&t's online store that is activated with at&t is covered under the warranty.
Apple handles all repairs and exchanges under warranty regardless where the iPhone was purchased.
I purchased my iPhone at an at&t store where I live on 6/29. Within the first two weeks I experienced a problem with the earpiece. I called AppleCare and my iPhone was picked up and returned for inspection and testing for repair or exchange. My iPhone was exchanged.
Your iPhone is covered under Apple's warranty. If you have an issue that is covered under the warranty, you can call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple Store. at&t does not handle any iPhone repairs or exchanges under warranty.
If you decided to return your iPhone for credit - which must be done within 14 days after the purchase date, you must return it to the at&t store where you purchased it.

Any news on Lenovo support for LTE 4G from ATT and/or Verizon?

I'm getting close to ordering several T410 notebooks, but I came up with another reason to wait:
As far as I can tell, Lenovo is currently installing WiMax 4G modems in the T410, but not the Qualcomm Gobi MDM9600 LTE 4G modem that supports both future LTE 4G service from ATT and Verizon and current 3G service from both carriers. I would prefer to have a 4G LTE modem, not WiMax.
Anyone know if Lenovo has any plans to start installing 4G LTE modems?
The other option would be to get the current Gobi 2000 modem and just upgrade it later myself- is that sort of upgrade an easy card swap, or something harder (I'm thinking built-in 3G antennas may cause problems if I try to upgrade to LTE later).
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

How do I make a ringtone with GarageBand for my iPhone from rights-protected AAC audio files I purchased from iTunes?

When I try to import some songs I purchased from iTunes into GarageBand so I can create a customer ringtone a window pops open stating that I cannot import a rights-protected AAC audio file? I bought the song from iTunes and can play it on my iPhone iPod application. Does not make sense except from a mercenary perspective why I cannot create a custom ringtone from the song and play it on my iPhone when the phone rings. Is there a solution?

You cannot use DRM protected songs for this as they are drm protected to stop you from doing this.
Any itunes plus ( all itunes music sold over the past couple of years or so) can be used to make ringtones.

Driver not found for Zen V P

I have had Zen V plus for about a week now and still have not been able to use it because for some reason the driver is not found. Does anyone know where I can find this info. I have tried every possible solution and nothing as of yet has worked. PLEASE HELP!

Basically I can't find my phone and JUST remembered that the find my phone app existed. I'm almost positive I have icloud set up on my phone, but is it possible to find it from my mac even though I technically didn't have the "find my phone" app downloaded on my phone? Or can I even just find it using the devices under my Apple ID account?

You can track your phone if the Find my iPhone app was not installed. That app only allows you to track all your devices, but what really minds is that the Find my iPhone service was activated in Settings > iCloud. If so, you can track your device.
To track your iPhone, open http://www.icloud.com, log in with your Apple ID and choose Find my iPhone. You will be able to track your iPhone if Find my iPhone was activated. If not, you cannot enable Find my iPhone if you do not have the phone.

Just restore the phone as a new device in iTunes, this will remove the restrictions passcode & erase all data on the phone.
iTunes running, connect the phone, on the Summary Pane, hit the restore button. There is no way to retrieve a forgotten restrictions passcode.

No, it has to be enabled on the device prior to losing it, and can't be enabled remotely after the fact.

Ordered new iPhone from ATT, no response in over 3 weeks, I'm freaking out!

I ordered a 16gb black iphone 3g from my local att store. It has been 3 weeks and I have received no email confirmations or ANYTHING about it. The att online iphone order status checker says the order cannot be found. I called the store and they said they don't really know whats going on and that maybe I should wait(I know somebody else who got one at the same att store a few days before i ordered mine and he got it in 2 days). I am so upset with ATT's lack of help. It has been 3 weeks and I am getting really worried because I am pretty sure I paid 300$ and ATT is not helping, the iphone is nowhere to be found. Is this normal? was i supposed to get a confirmation email or something?

Had the same problem... Went to the AT&T store in Westfield, NJ and ordered the iPhone the Friday it came out -- at 11:30am... "Was supposed" to have it on the following Monday (latest Tuesday)... The following Friday, I still didnt have it and went into the store to complain..
Seems the order was there, but never processed... So I cancelled it, and wrote a complaint letter to the AT&T Westfield, NJ store... No answer for a week, so I called them - they told me that if I was complaining about a particular store, that store would probably not respond... They gave me corporate's address, and i sent to them -- another week passed and no answer...
I cc-ed Apple corporate, and I heard back from them... They couldn't do anything about AT&T's incompetence in getting me an iPhone, but APPLE helped me out (even tho they didn't cause the originak problem) and now I have an iPhone 3G

1.1.3 was released yesterday. When you setup and sync your phone if the software is not up to date, you will be able to do it at that time.

Quick question that shouldn't take much work or thought to answer! I purchased my iphone from ATT (Haven't recieved it yet) if there are any problems with it, do I take it to the apple store and try to get them to replace it? (I heard that if you bought from ATT and take to Apple they will at most give you a refurbished phone) Or do I take back to ATT and wait like 2 weeks for them to order me a new phone?

I know the IPhone is going to be awesome but I've read so many horror stories (in between my compulsions to check the att order status page every 5 minutes) that I just wanted to be sure that if a problem arose I could take it to an apple store, instead of having to wait 2 weeks for a replacement from ATT.
