No "E" allowed

This is weird.
When I try to enter my user name, "drtrech," in any iphone text application, it allows me to type "d-r-t-r . . . but refuses to allow me to enter the "e." It will allow ONLY a "w" or "r" (the letters on either side of the "e"), but steadfastly refuses to allow me to enter the "e."
If I enter a different letter and backspace, it works fine. If I turn off auto-correction it works fine. But I shouldn't have to do either one of those just to type in a slightly unusual letter sequence. I'm sure there are other sequences that are also problematic, but I haven't stumbled upon them.
Is there any mechanism to make an inquiry to Apple, or to at least report the issue?

Randy - just because you aren't seeing this problem doesn't mean it doesn't exist. For some reason the vanishing hit area problem seems to be really hard to get people to understand. When introduced it was widely released that the iPhone uses an adaptive algorithm that changed the target size for the various hit areas based upon the likelihood of the letter you want based upon previous entry. In some cases with some words it seems there is a bug where a specific letter's hit area goes to nothing. This does happen!
There is no amount of slow carefullness that will make my phone type Acura. I get the "Acu" but when it comes time for the "r" I can only get a "t" or "e" there is no hit area for the "r." None. (period)I spent approximately 1 minute very, very, very slowly moving around in tiny, tiny circles and could only get the t and e poppup letters to show.
Same with the "y" on Hailey and the "u" in Lexus.
I really don't know what it only seems to happen to some people, but the people to whom it doesn't happen for some reason refuse to believe it and always say that we are going to fast or mashing our fingers or something.
Oddly enough, if I capitalize "Drtrech" I don't have a problem, but when I make it lowercase I do. I get "drt" and then there is no hit area for "r" or oddly enough "y." Every other letter works fine.
The only solution I have heard is to go into contacts and add a contact with the word you want. Then go down to the add field and add a nickname and put the word in there. I just tried that and oddly enough I'm now able to easily type "drtr" but then the "e goes away. Except the second time I tried it went back to only "drt." Your mileage may vary.
Very, very strange. The only thing I can suggest is that you must change your identity!
