No edit option in Media Manager for 8100??

I haven't really received any response from the Software thread so I thought I'd try my luck here to see if anybody else has had a similar problem after installing all the software for the 8100.
Ok, so a quick overview of what I have installed:
O/S: Windows Vista Ultimate
BB Desktop Manager v4.5
Be sure to keep in mind that I have tried the Desktop manager v4.2, 4.3, and 4.4 and have the same problem with all versions.
The Issue:
I can't edit any audio files in the Media Manager software. Everything appears to install properly with no issues, especially after I disabled, Windows Defender, and the Firewall. The media manager software is able to find all of my media files on my computer, and is able to play/view them all as well. However, when I try to edit an audio file that I want to make into a ringtone, the "Edit" option is greyed out and I am unable to select it. This is the case with the v4.5. In previous versions where the user is supposed to select "Edit with QuickSound Editor," that option does not even appear in any of the drop down menus.
I have completely uninstalled any previous versions and even selected the install to "Run as admin..." in Vista, but I am still not able to select the "Edit" option to create ringtones.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been picking at my brain for the last few days.

Its just my opinion, but Roxio Media Manager blows chunks. I use Audacity instead, and it free.

Do you have a secondary router between your computer and the Verizon router? This maybe a stupid question but was media manager running on the computer when you tried to access it from the TV?

Media Manager for tape drive

Where can I get the media manager for an HP 1533C DAT tape drive in an external case to work with Rman?

I have the same problem. Media manager worked fine and then it crashed everytime I tried to bring it up. It may have something to to with the latest update to Snow Leopard.

V Cast Media Manager for Vista 64

I get the error message that at this point V Cast Media Manager only supports 32 OS... hence it aborts the installation.
Please advise what I have to use instead, how can I up or download pictures or other media to my droid 2.

The Motorola Droid 2 has several different options in sharing your files, pictures, videos, music, etc. I have listed a link below that will instruct you on the different methods you can use.

Media Manager for Mac will not open

Running an iMac on OS X 10.7.2
Every time I try to start media manager I get the following error:
The application “Verizon Media Manager” unexpectedly quit while trying to restore its windows. Do you want to try to restore its windows again?
Eventually a page comes up with a lot of techical detail info and says it iwll be sent to Apple.
Anyone run into this before and know what the issue may be?

When you get the error asking if you want to restore the windows, are you getting an option to either say "yes" or "no"? If you do, which option are you clicking on? Let us know when you're able. Thanks!

Editing Options - Document Type 'Ready For Input'

I have a client who wants the default editing option for all users to have the Document Type set to 'Ready For Input'. Is this possible? I have explained how each user can change the own entry but they are not happy with this.
Any ideas?

The requirement here is to track the link between 541 and 542 ,
The processor PO is updated by user in PO field and also added the vendor field (custom) which is again updated by user
while doing 541 on saving exit finds out the latest PO number for combination of Vendor and material and updates it in one field
Hence 541 document always contain the processor PO ,and vendor PO
Normally client use MB1B for this but , if required MIGO can not be used because of this PO field constrain

How do I get the option in media share for HD?

I set up my videos in iMovie and want to select HD when I am doing media share, to create my DVD in iDVD. But the two HD options are always greyed out. I used the best resolution on my HDD camera for the sharpest possible picture, but I still can not get it that option I want. Any thoughts?

When you say import video into iMovie, you mean from the camcorder to iMovie correct? When I do this, I do not see an option in iMovie that allows for that. I did have the camcorder on the highest / best possible setting and in iMovie the picture is much better than before. But I am not sure where else to go after that to allow for HD quality in media share.
If there is no way to burn on to the DVD with HD do you know why iMovie shows this as a possible media share option, even if it is greyed out.

Only Audio options under Media Kind for Video files

I am trying to assign a number of video files to media type "Music Video". However, when I Get Info for them, select Option and click on the Media Kind drop down, I only have audio options (Music, Podcast, iTunesU, Audiobook, Voice Memo) and not video options. The videos play alright in iTunes and as far as I can tell the file type and settings are the same as files that do have the video options. Does anyone know how to assign these files?

the only way i can think of is to set in the video options, the tv output to ask i think it is so when you select a video to play it comes up and asks if you want to play through tv and if you say yes it doesnt play it on thew ipod because it thinks you are watching it on a tv so you can hear it but not see it. i think this should work

CREATIVE ZEN MEDIA MANAGER FOR MAC O

I have two of creative media players, Zen Stone 2GB and Zen V Plus 2GB, I'm really exhausted using my PC with windows platform, it has many bugs and many times the virus keep comin in altough I have update my Norton anti virus, and I got to continously go to Computer Technician to fix it, now I have enough of it, I threw away my PC and using Apple Macintosh Laptop (Mac Book Pro) with Mac Os X 0.4., but XNJB is have very limited capabilities, is anyone know the size of videos that zen V plus is using? or is it any chances that creative will make the application that will support my creative officially in MacOs or I should throw away this media player and buy an iPod?

Where is the "Limited" Option on Workgroup Manager for User Administration Capabilities

Hi, on Lion Server wen we create an OD User, in Privileges window, we had the Administration capabilities: "Limited" Option, but on Mountain Lion there´s only Full and None Options.
There´s another way tio limit the acces to users?

Social media management for the Q10

Greetings all.

I'm looking for an app that I can use on my Q10 to manage multiple Twitter and Facebook pages. I currently use Hootsuite on my laptop, but there's currently no Q10 equivalent, that I can see.

Hi and Welcome to the community!
I don't know if any have yet been ported to the Q10, but there are several side-loads available that may do what you desire. For me, Plume is my choice...but at present the FaceBook integration isn't working (I need to see about updating to a later Plume version, but have to work on how to create my own .bar files).
If side-loading is of interest, you can research that in many places...with the DDPB app for Windows being my personal choice. And there are lots and lots of websites with .bar files already available, plus utilities for converting from IOS/Android install files over to .bar.
If you are looking solely for a true native BB10 app, then your results will naturally be a bit more limited, and will likely require a fee-based app rather than anything free.
I'm hoping that SocialScope will come out with a BB10 version, as that was truly my favorite aggregator ever.

HELP: Media Management for TIFF- JPG- PSD-Files

I work a lot with pictures in my present videowork. Everytime I change something in Photoshop, the change is not automatically updated, when I return to Final Cut.
The picture is set offline and eveytime I had to do the same enoying procedure to get it online again and updated.
Is there a way to make Final Cut updating changes of pictures automatically?

Media Managing to Prores for 5d clips on mixed timeline

Hi, I have a largish project (1TB footage) whitch is mainly SD but I have some 5d & Sony Ex footage. The majorety of the timeline is SD but there is a little 5D/Ex whitch is native footage and has to render (it is a SD timeline). Is there a way of converting the 5D/Ex clips I have used in situe (i.e. not having to convert the clip and redo cut). I know I could just convert the whole timeline into prores but this is a feature doc and would take a long time and use a lot of disk space. Also I am not ready to media manage for grading/sound edit (it is still a rough cut).
The reason I ask is I know this can be done with Avid if I consolidate.
Any ideas?

Move the clips you want to convert to their own video track. Duplicate your sequence, delete the SD footage and media manage what's left. Then replace the original tracks with the Mediamanaged tracks.

Media Manager modifed storage wrong

I am trying to make a copy of a 22 minute sequence and it's media to a new volume using media manager.
the media is 10-bit uncompressed HD. my original storage was 2.2 TB and i had nearly 5 hours of footage. Now, when i attempt to make a copy out (with 1 second handles) it suggests the copy will be 1TB. this is obviously not calculating right.
I did check all the options (and double checked)...nothing brings the estimated size below 1TB. (in fact no settings...even adding handles...changes it AT ALL)
any thoughts?

I had 5 hours of footage. i made my edit and locked my picture...
now i wan't to make a COPY of the locked picture and ONLY the media used in the timeline (plus 1 second handles).
when selecting the appropriate options in media manager, the "modified" storage size stays exactly the same as the original....even when checking off "delete unused media"
I am familiar with media manager, it appears to be malfunctioning...because NO options, checked on or off, seem to make the modified size change!
