No email received via Outlook 2007 or Live Webmail 2012 since 11/14

I have 2 Windows 8 machines running Outlook 2007 and Live Mail 2012 Email clients setup and working fine for the last two months to the latest verizon email servers with SSL turned on send and receive, SPA off.  11/15 just started getting error that the email server does not support the connection encryption type you have specified.  Try changing the encryption method.  Contact your mail server administrator or Internet service Provider.
I spent over an hour on telephone support not to mention couple hours looking through support info with no success.  Nicole came on my computer and tried to configure reconfigure my email account in Outlook 2007  so I could download my new email with no success.  She claims conveniently that the problem is with Outlook 2007.  I guess that means the problem is with Live mail 2012 as well.  I can receive my email on my iphone with the settings unchanged from before the problem presented itself and I can access webmail no problem from the win8 machines.
Any hints from folks who have encountered this problem and fixed it would be greatly appreciated.  Of course Outlook 2007 is no longer actively supported so I can't contact anybody at Microsoft.
I think Verizon made a change to the email server using a newer encryption method or something?  But can not resolve the issue from my end.

Are you on a Verizon network, as some have had problems that require they whitelist there IP address when connecting through other networks.  ESP. Foreign ISP's.
Both outlook 2007 and live mail 2012 (not webmail) work for me.  Double check your settings and if necessary post all your non-confidential settings so your peers here can make suggestions.

  • Rejected email login via Outlook

I access my email using MS Outlook 2007 (POP3).  I have 3 BT mailboxes, and most of the time I can send and receive email with no problem.
However, several times a day I get a message from Outlook that the server has rejected my login for one or more of the mailboxes (no particular one, it can happen with any of them).
With no action from me, the login is accepted later.
Why is my login being rejected, seemingly randomly?

    Hi.
I'm afraid that this is a mail server issue, it's not a mail client issue (e.g. in your case Outlook 2007).
You may like to have a look at my shortcuts option 0d/h in case that works for you.

  • HOW TO IMPORT MY EMAILS (MESSAGES) FROM OUTLOOK 2007?

HOW TO IMPORT MY EMAILS (MESSAGES) FROM OUTLOOK 2007?

Into what email program on the Mac?
    Mail
    Outlook for Mac '11
    Entourage '04/'08
    Thunderbird
    Eudora
    ... etc
If it's going into Mail you'll need to do a work around, it's not a "straight" transfer unless you buy a 3rd party application called Outlook2Mac.

  • Send Email via Outlook 2007 with "send to field" blank.

    I have a simple question:
    - How do I get the user's Outlook 2007 "New Email Message" box to open up when the user clicks on a button called "Send Email"?
    - Outlook is the default Email client on each user
    - I need the Outlook box to open, with the following values prefilled:
To: blank (so the user can type in an address)
    From: [email protected]
    Subject: blah, blah, blah
    Body: Hello, etc...
The part I'm having trouble with is getting the Send To field to be blank or unfilled?

Leonard, Thanks for the quick post..
Along with your tip, I ended up doing the following, which worked perfectly:
    <cfset to_email="">
<cfset subject_text="Here is the Link to the Form..">
<cfset body_text="Welcome to the Step by Step Procedure!%0A">
<cfoutput><a href = "mailto:#to_email#?subject=#subject_text#&body=#body_text#">Click to Send Email Link to Customer</a></cfoutput>
Note: I used the %0A at the end of my Body text to help with formatting.
One other question: How do I make this code above run directly from my SPRY menu?
    - Currently I have to open another form and then click on hyperlink text on the form
    - I would rather bypass the new form page altogether, and just call the code from my SPRY menu?
    - Here is the code behind my SPRY Drop-Down menu item:
    <li><a href="form_emailLink.cfm" target="_blank">Send Form Link</a></li>

  • Accessing emails via Outlook 2007

Up until last week, my emails were being downloaded fine from the BTyahoo server.
Since then after you have introduced SMTP authentication, I cannot get my outlook to save my password to access my emails automatically. I have tried to tick SMTP authenication manually and via the BT email tool, but outlook still contines to ask me for my passwords and doesnt save it. Now I cannot use outlook at all!
    Thanx

This sounds like the password rejection problem that has blighted many users for several months now (search the forum for password rejection, and you'll see what I mean). It seems to have improved but it's certainly not solved as yet.
There is a quick fix which often does the trick. Make sure your Outlook settings are as they were when it last worked. Then simply log in to BT Yahoo! and choose Mail (where you can view the messages you've been unable to download), then log out again. Go back to Outlook and hopefully it will download as normal.

  • Blank email either in outlook (2007 / 2013) or OWA

    Hello everybody,
I have a problem with some clients and Exchange server 2013.
I'll try to explain it in the best way possible and I apologize for my english too.
I have installed Exchange Server 2013 , some clients are using Outlook 2013 , some OUtlook 2007 (with all service packs isntalled) and some OWA (via  IE, Firefox or Chrome, the problem is on all of them).
The same email is received by someone as usual, and by someone with blank body : in both cases , the attachments are displayed , but the text of the email isn't.
On Exchange server there's no antivirus, no antispam  installed, some clients working have avg installed, some clients that aren't working have avg installed too. AVG Plugin for Outlook is disabled.
The problem is on OWA too. I've thought it could be an issue due to the ssl certificate (Outlook 2007  needs a valid certificate to work properly) so I've changed it. Since the change I don't receive blank email on a client, but still don't read older
emails that had blank body .
I don't know where  else I have to look  , but I need absoluterly to retrieve that emails that I cannot read.
    How can I solve that?
    Thank you
    Luciana

    Hi Luciana,
According to your description, the issue happens to some users instead of all users. There is no antivirus, no antispam installed in Server side. The blank email in OWA should be firstly received by Outlook client. The issue may be caused
by any third-party programs from client side in user local machine.
Please close Outlook and only send/receive test messages in OWA to check whether the issue persists. If there is no issue when only using OWA to send/receive messages, please restart the problematic user's Outlook client in safe mode and check whether the
    issue continues.

  • Encrypted emails received from Outlook

I can send and receive signed/encrypted emails from Mail, and everything comes up fine...and the received message shows the "Security:" header showing icons for Signed and Encrypted. So far so good.
And when receiving signed emails from e.g. Outlook, this header shows with the "Signed" icon. Still good.
The problem is, when I receive encrypted emails that were sent using Outlook 2007 (via Exchange), I see the "Security" header, but I don't see anything on that line. It doesn't say "Signed" nor "Encrypted". It's decrypting the message ok - just not actively showing me that it's encrypted.
I can reproduce on multiple machines. Is there some sort of workaround, or is this a bug in Mail?

I have exactly the same problem when receiving signed + encrypted mails from Windows Thunderbird.

  • Office Outlook 2007 and Live Mail

Does Live mail coexist with Outlook 2007 ?
I have Outlook 2007 already on Windows 7 and would like to load Live Mail  are there any compatibility issues?

Thanks for reply but have already transferred emails using information I found
on another forum (can't remember how I got to it?).
I loaded eM Client (free) onto the pc where Outlook 2007 is loaded then IMPORTED messages
Into  eM Client, then EXPORTED messages from eM Client in .eml format to Windows Live Mail
everything  appears  to have gone okay.
When loading eM client I did not have to set up account details.
I intend to remove eM Client from the pc if my son doesn't want to use it because I had
already  loaded  Windows Live Mail on his laptop.
Just one thing before any one attempts this should know that when I inspected the registry
to make a note of entries made by eM Client I found quite a lot? Although eM Client loaded
correctly and has uninstall in Programs ( control panel ).
Guess, will still have to tidy up the registry after saying that my quick look at eM Client
could  make it an option instead of Windows Live Mail.
As any one used eM Client for their main email viewer, because I would like to know
    what  you  think of it?
Sorry for long reply but thought I put the info on an up to date message so anyone else
having the same problem  could have another solution.

  • Attachments in a group email sent from outlook 2007 do not show in the message

iPad doesn't show attachments in a group email sent from a Windows 7 PC using outlook 2007. Doesn't matter what the attachment is, if it is sent to a group created in Outlook the attachments do not come through. Is this a bug in iOS? My Google Nexus 4 phone handles the attachments just fine.

  • Thunderbird emails over to Outlook 2007/2010 How

I have 2 computers here in the office that have Thunderbird install on them and my boss would like for them to be transferred over to Outlook 2007/2010 with out any data loss. Every thing I have read has inform me that there could be some data loss.
Is there any way to do a complete data transfer without lossing any data to Outlook 2010 without using express.
    John E. Donaldson

The easiest way is the baby step route-- at least you will not need to buy any software (or load any malware).
       1. Get an IMAP email account somewhere.  The only free version I know of is through Google, although if you have a web server somewhere you probably can get an IMAP account there.  Set this IMAP account up on Outlook: it's easy to
do and both Google and Microsoft have help pages to walk you through it. If you need help, Bing or Google this subject, followed by either "site:google.com" or "site:microsoft.com" in the search box. Also, set this account up on your Thunderbird
    mail client as well.
Now you should have both identical IMAP accounts set up, on Outlook and Thunderbird.  Make sure you have sync'd both to the server when choosing options, so your client computer and server both mirror one another.
(Of course, if your Thunderbird account was an IMAP account to start with and not a POP account, you could avoid setting up another account and instead simply set that up on Outlook without any conversion, so I'm assuming you are inquiring about a
POP account in Thunderbird.  If you have an IMAP account in Thunderbird sync'd to the server, all you would need to do is to set that account up in Outlook, and all your mail will show up by itself, after a pause).
      2.  In the POP Thunderbird account, just drag all your folders from your old account over to the new IMAP account, which also exists on Outlook.  (I do this all the time by the way, move folders between various mail accounts that exist on
    both clients.)
So now all your folders will show up in Outlook on your new IMAP account and can be dragged, copied, deleted to any other Outlook mail account.  One caveat that people (me) sometimes overlook if new to IMAP: they still need to do .pst backups, even
though the server/client are sync'd.  If one accidentally deletes a file or a folder, say from a Unix type system, or corrupts files by some other route, it can still be lost--so back-ups are very necessary.
Any address books in Thunderbird will need to be moved separately, in an exported file.
Hope this helps.  I do stuff like this all the time by the way, it's helpful especially when I have to convert a very old program or 'can't get there from here,' to go to some intermediate destination.

  • Sending email messages with Outlook 2007

I use Outlook 2007 for email and have FIOS at home.  I also use it on the road and in the office.  No problems until the last week when all outgoing email get hung up in my outbox at home.  When I connect elsewhere, they are sent.  I have tried changing the account settings and did a complete shut down of the system with no luck.
Interestingly, my ipad and blackberry have no trouble at home.  Did something change recently in the Dallas Texas area to mess with us Outlook users?

Viuafax, it is a pain.  Not only do we have to swap the settings, which isn't a real hardship, but many server hosts won't open another port simply because Verizon decided to block the common setting.
In my case, I am now forced to use Verizon's outbound server to send emails, which means they are subject to the limits and spam filter.  Today is the first day of me using this and already I have had two messages blocked as spam.
Now keep in mind that these are messages from me to just one person and that person happens to be on the same domain as me.  They are a work colleage.  So clearly not spam.
So the pain is not changing the settings, but rather that I am now forced to either use the Verizon mail server, which I would just assume avoid.  I'd be very happy to keep my so called spammy traffic off it for them if they'd let me.

  • Email sync with outlook 2007

    Hello Ljo,
Thank you for your question regarding synchronizing your BlackBerry smartphone Calendar and Microsoft Outlook.
Which BlackBerry model and version of BlackBerry Device Software are you running on it? http://bbry.lv/iubM23
When more than one calendar exists on your BlackBerry smartphone, one calendar is set as the default. To confirm which calendar is set to default, click the Options icon from the Home screen and select Advanced Options > Default Services.
Note: For BlackBerry 6, click the Options icon and select Device > Advanced System Settings > Default Services.
Make sure that the default Calendar is the one that you are adding the new entries on.
If this is the case, please contact your mobile service provider and request that they contact BlackBerry on your behalf.
    Thank you.

  • Formatting for email sent to Outlook 2007 client

I'm sure you are aware of Microsoft's decision to start using
the html parser from Word 2007 to display html emails in Outlook
2007. As with so many other developers, this is causing the emails
I created with cfmail to fail.
The basic fix is to (pretty well) stop using CSS and go back
to tables. But, even at that, Word 2007 does not recognize many
common tags. In my case, the "wrap" command doesn't work for any
tag (such as "textarea") so all my fields will only stretch to the
right until all the data is displayed. This means the client can
not print out the form and see all the data.
Can someone give me an idea how to cause data to wrap in a
table or textarea field without the use of the "wrap" command? For
example, one field can hold 100 characters but the field is only 40
characters long on the web page. For printing, the data would wrap
and extend the field down the form to display all the data.
I hate it when companies "improve" there products by making
us take a step back in time.
    Thank you.

Dans code works for me but I am being told that my company may lock down utl_smtp and I am being "encouraged" to use APEX_MAIL instead. I have traded emails with Dan and he mentioned that APEX_MAIL works differently and that I needed to change the invite portion to an attachment. So I need to take my varchar2 with the invite text, write it to a file then attach that file.
    Thanks for responding.

Make use of Exchange OST Recovery Tool
Hi, I would like to suggest you to make use of Exchange OST Recovery Tool. This software easily recovers the data from orphan OST files and saves them in PST file format. The PST file can be easily viewed using Microsoft Outlook email client application.
You must prefer this software also because this is absolutely free.
Learn more about this tool by going to the following link: -
