No email sync in mobile networks

Hi, on my z3 compact email snyc does only work if i have a wlan connection. It is not working if i only have a mobile network connection.
Internet search, WhatsApp and other apps are working, but nit email sync.
I have tried already several email apps, it always the same.
I have search the internet and found some identical problemdescription. The solution was, that the background data had been resticted.
On my z3 i can only find something like that in the app configuration, but it is not activ.
Any other ideas, hints?

...ok, I have made a complete new setup. The problem still exists, but now i receive a detailled error description: Setup not complete.Connection to server deniedroot certificate not validIdentity could not validated (this is my translation! ) so, from where do i get a valid root certificate?Freenet.de? as the email providerTelekom ? as the internet provider?Sony?

  • ICal / MobileMe To Dos & iPhone syncing over mobile networks: Solution!!!

I have been after a solution to use the to do list in iCal on my Mac @ home and the MobileMe Calendar web page while at work & away from home AND have it sync OTA with my iPhone. There hasn't been a solution that I have found for this until now! I have tried Things and OmniFocus, but in my opionion they are both too bloated for my needs. I want a simple todo list with due dates, notes, priorities and URLs, that I can use on desktops as well as mobile. The iCal / MobileMe to do list is perfect for this, but until now there hasn't been a way to keep the same todo list on my iPhone and keep it in sync everywhere.
I now have a solution. Appigo recently launched a beta of their iCal Sync app for OSX. I downloaded & installed this to my Mac at home, and downloaded their iPhone Todo app. Great syncing between iCal and iPhone over my home Wifi network. Then, I thought, what is to stop me using this over the internet when I'm not at home? So I setup a domain with no-ip.org, which allows you to point a domain name at your home DSL router IP address and have it forward traffic to your home computer. Using a DNS solution in this way means you can dynamically update the domain name to change when your router public IP address changes (unless you have a static IP assigned with your ISP). So, anyway, I set this up to point at my router's public IP address, then configured my home router to forward a specific TCP port to my Mac. So when traffic arrives at the router from the internet destined for this specific port, the router forwards it to the Mac. I configured the Appigo iCal sync app to listen on a static port (the same one I configured on the router) and ensured both my Mac and router firewalls were set to permit this traffic.
So now, with MobileMe set to sync automatically, I can add/edit/delete a todo on my iPhone when I'm away from my home wifi network and it instantly syncs with iCal on my Mac at home, then that gets propogated almost instantly to MobileMe. Also it means a change to the todo list on my Mac or on the MobileMe Calendar web page will also almost instantly get propgated to my iPhone (next timne the Todo app syncs).
Brilliant! The perfect solution for me, and only costing the price of the Appigo todo iPhone app!
If anyone would like more detail on how this was all done, let me know and I can go into more detail.
Just need to find something similar for note syncing now, and I'll be sorted.

Thanks for the excellent information on Appigo ToDo and Sync. This is great way to fulfill the unexplainable absence of this feature from Apple's own application suite (MobileMe, iCal, To Do items).
I downloaded Sync and the iPhone app. Configuration was a snap. I'm still working from a trial membership of MobileMe...with this feature working I'm just about ready to pony up and get a full membership.

  • Music wont sync on my new iphone 4s. Restored it from a backup and now there's no music on it. In the music tab it says: Thomas iPhone has access to music on iCloud. Songs can be fetched via WIFI or a mobile network. What to do?

Restored it from a backup and now there's no music on it. In the music tab it iTunes says: Thomas iPhone has access to music on iCloud. Songs can be fetched via WIFI or a mobile network. The pnly thing I can chose to sync are voice memos.
    What can I do?

If you want all the songs from an artist on your phone you can to to the artist view, tap on the artist, scroll to the bottom of the list and you will see a Download All button.  This works for playlists and albums too (scroll to the bottom and tap the Download All button).  I suppose if you wanted all your music on your phone you could create a smart playlist in iTunes on your computer that would contain all your music, upload it to iTunes match (Store>Update iTunes Match), and then you would get a Download All button at the bottom of this playlist on your phone to download all your songs.

  • Email - ok on wifi but not on mobile network

On my iPhone I've got my dot mac.com email account plus a separate btinternet.com account. Both work fine receiving and sending emails when connected via wi-fi but the btinternet one will receive but not send when connected via Vodafone mobile network. Any ideas what is set up wrongly - presumably if the smtp setting was wrong it wouldn't send ok via wi-fi?

All the menus are image maps. Three out of four work.
My div text menu on  top of an image gave me similar problems.

Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync not working in Mobile Network – Blackberry Z10
I have set-up office email account in Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync this work only over office Wi-Fi not working outside of office Wi-Fi range. When I back to office all new e-mail loaded automatically. I have no problem with yahoo email setup in the same Z10 hand set work in both Wi-Fi and Mobile network. I have data plan with my carrier. Both emails were working in my previous Blackberry hand set Bold 9900. But with this New Z10 this become a problem
What could a the problem and I need help please

Have you tested the server OMA setup with a notebook or desktop (https://webmail.domain.com/OMA)?
You should receive a login prompt for username & password following by an Inbox listing of messages.
We used this step to verify server setup before configuring an iPhone. Lastly, we made certain that connectivity would work from outside or within our company by doing the following:
    1) created A record for webmail.domain.com to a public IP that route through the firewall on 443 to the Exchange server's private IP - this handles external traffice
    2) added an internal DNS record for webmail.domain.com to the private IP of the Exchange server.
This ensures that webmail.domain.com sync's to exchange from outside or from within the Enterprise.

  • Email sync bug?

I am sure others have seen this, but just checking.
I have ActiveSync set for corporate email to push - working fine.
2 personal email accounts set to manual (no fetch).
Personal accounts still download email, it looks like when AS notifies phone that there is new email, it checks the POP3 accounts to.
I sent Apple feedback - surely I am not the only one to notice this.

Hi I can confirm this is not a bug limited to you guys only, I have also tried to do a manual refresh but nothing works over mobile network. It does seem to work over wifi, so just for clarity with sync interval on any account set to manual upon hitting refresh nothing happens (confirmed as not syncing to point of checking exchange account logs and no syncing is occuring with the server), changing this from manual sync interval to set time interval ie. 15min produces desired result of sync. Needs to get fixed for a top end communication device this is a bug which users with heavy email mailbox best stay clear of as right now you only have automated time sync interval so your inbox will continue to fill whilst you have no control over it....ie fix the manual refresh bug.

  • Mobile network unavailable

*** Verizon! Trying to make a call and it says mobile network not available. I've tried a system update, I've tried power cycling, I've checked go see what my network is and it says not connect. Yet I'm able to text and email. How do I fix this!?

I've had the same problem. Seems to have started after Lollipop update on my Samsung Note 3.
What I think happens is I go into my lab, which does not have coverage because it's inside a building, and the network drops out. Then I go back outside, where I usually have great signal, and the phone continues to give me network not available with an x over the cellular signal indicator.  No matter how long I wait the network never comes back. If I power cycle my phone it picks the network up again?

  • Email Syncing

    Hi All
Apologies if this has already been covered somewhere.....But...
Firstly, I love the iPhone, it's another reinvention of the wheel by Apple, so well done. Secondly, I am a qualified technician, so really should know more - but networking and email syncing is not my strong point. I will try and best explain my issue in the hope it's a simple fault and can be rectified:
My iPhone is synced to all my email accounts (I have four seperate ones, including MobileMe all POP3) yet only my .me account let's me know I have receieved an email. With the other accounts I have to go in to their inboxes on the iPhone before any email come through.... Any ideas on this? I have checked in iTunes and all mail is set to sync...
    My thanks in advance!

The setting under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes for syncing email accounts is for transferring email account settings only from your computer to your iPhone, which is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone so you don't have to manually create the accounts with the iPhone's Mail client. This has nothing to do with syncing email account mailboxes and messages or an email account being checked for new messages.
On your iPhone, what is your Fetch setting for automatically checking for new messages?
Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data.
Under the Fetch section, the following settings are available:
    Every 15 minutes
    Every 30 minutes
    Hourly
    Manually

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?
You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as addtional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.
So, call your carrier an inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.
    Good luck.

  • No connection Mobile Network

I am in need of urgent help. My blackberry torch 9810 was working find, suddenly so it stop connection to mobile network. I am able to connect the wi-fi and blue tooth but the mobile network not.
i have try reloading same problemas try google with out any help.
Thank you for your urgrent reply

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books (pre-BB10 devices only)
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support...only they can look at their network to see why it is no longer working with your device
    Good luck!

  • Unable to connect to Mobile Network

Turned my blackberry off last night in the theater and now I can't connect to the mobile network - and therefore can't do anything with my blackberry.  I have tried to restore network connections, but it tells me that there are no available networks due to radio being off???  How do I turn the radio back on???

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Between the two posts your are not registered on the network and your radio signal at -256 is extremely weak.
I would reboot see if your -dbm level is -100 or less and reregister the phone.
If it doesn't reregister I would make sure all your data is backed up with Desktop Manager, perform a security wipe and return the phone to the carrier.
Make sure you get a new unit as opposed to a field replacement unit or a refurbished phone. You are currently holding what will be someone else's refurbished phone, OK?

  • Outgoing mail server appears blocked by mobile network

I have already contacted Roadrunner to find out why the host name in the Outgoing Mail Server--mobile-smtp.roadrunner.com will not work.  They state that it should read mobile-server.roadrunner.com.  When I typed that in, it reverted back to the original phrase, and they said to get in contact with the mobile network.  There must be a block in it.  We tried a different port, however, that did not work either.  Has anyone had this problem?  I am receiving emails from roadrunner without incident.

Try deleting the account and selecting manual set up.  Also you can also try using an email app from the play store like k9 mail.

  • Email sync problem between iPad Air and iPhone 6+

    Hello,
I have a user that travels quite a bit. We use Office 365 Enterprise
for our emails. He is reporting email sync issues between iPhone and iPad. Meaning
sometimes he will receive emails on the iPhone but not on the iPad or vice versa.
Both devices use the same AT&T network. Does anyone out there have any
suggestions as to what may be causing the sync problem between devices? I am
not sure if the devices ever have the same emails on the inbox. Does this make
sense? I will be happy to provide any other information if needed.
    Thank you!

    Hey daniel hkn,
Thanks for the question. It sounds like the email account may be configured and setup as a POP account. If so, check out this resource:
Using a POP account with more than one device - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201855
When using the same POP email account on more than one device, email messages may appear only on the first device that receives them. This occurs when an email client is configured to automatically remove email from the server after an email client has received it. You can configure your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac either to keep a copy of the email on the server, remove it after a certain number of days have passed, or keep it until you move it from your inbox.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.
