No enhancements tab for loudness equalization

Hi,
I've watched several youtube videos and read the same instructions here, on how to increase overall system volume through the enhancements tab and "loudness equalization". When I go through the steps, both of these are missing.
I checked to make sure I have the latest sound driver installed, and I do. (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC). I think I read that a previous version had access to this tab, but I have no idea how to install older drivers.
Can anyone help to do that, or is there another way to maximize sound with this model? Why do the factory settings come so low? Is it to get people to buy extenal speakers?

Is there a way I can get the Enhancements tab For my Lenovo ThinkPad T60p?
I really only want an equalizer for when I'm watching YouTube videos and other things that do not have an equalizer.
Also, my graphics card crashes a lot, is this because it is old, I overpower it (I play 3D games), or a combination?

PMS: Creation of new tabs for reference elements of ENHANCE BADis

Dear Experts,
I am on a PMS EHP5 implementation (for all practical purposes, it's an EHP4 implementation as we are not using the pre-defined template) and have the below problem.
I have the ENHANCE_FIX and ENHANCE_FREE BADIs included at the VA level (as the requirement is to create immediate child objects for the template through these BADIs). I have a reference element (VB) defined for these BADIs.
Example template (L1 = Level 1, L2 = Level 2, L3 = Level 3):
L1 - VA
---- L2 - VB1
--------- L3 VC1
--------- L3 VC2
---- L2 - VB2
---- L2 - VB3
In the above example template, the ENHANCE* BADIs will add VBs (example: VB4 and VB5) at the L2 level (appearing in the document below VB2 and VB3).
The requirement is to have separate tabs for each VB at the L2 level (so I will have one tab for VA and 5 tabs for VB from the above example).
I am unable to specify creation of new tabs for the reference element VB when I carry out my tabs and process configuration.
I have not been able to find any information on this aspect either. Would appreciate any help that can come my way.

I still feel that the product should leave that option to the designer of the solution. There are a lot of solutions which can get chaotic. If designed appropriately, I guess this chaos can be controlled.
At the very least, I am sure that I have not left anything out in configuration. I will raise this with SAP over a CSS.

No "Enhancements" Tab in Windows 8, Recording Device Properties

Hi, I just bought my HP laptop, a HP ENVY 15-q008TX, Windows 8.1. Whenever I'm using the microphone, I've found that the microphone automatically lowers its volume when it's too loud. It's obvious there's some auto-leveling going on in the background, be it by my audio driver or Windows. I don't want that and it's problematic when I'm recording audio for work.
Searching for answers on the internet gave me these common answers:
1) Turn off auto-audio adjustment in Skype -- Done. However, the auto-leveling issue I'm facing happens in other software, even when I'm not using Skype. So it's not a Skype issue.
2) Go to Control Panel > Sound > Select "Do nothing" for communications activity. Done, but issue persists.
3) Go to Control Panel > Sound > Recording Devices > Properties > Advanced > Unselect "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device". Done, but issue persists.
4) The last solution I've found is to go to the "Enhancements" tab of Speakers Properties AND Microphone Properties and check "Disable all sound effects". This sounds like a possible solution except that my Windows 8.1 has no Enhancements tab at all for both Speaker and Microphone Properties.
I then tried checking the Beats Audio Control Panel (that's the audio software my laptop came with) which has barely any options.
In the "Listening Experience" tab, it doesn't show any auto-leveling option.
In the "Recording Experience" tab, it asks me to attach audio device when my headset microphone is clearly attached and it's working and detected by my Windows and other software.
So at this point I don't know what to do. I suspect there's some audio software issue going on. Any advice is appreciated.

I do not have any issue connecting a microphone. That connecting error in the screenshot seems to be something wrong with the Beats software itself than any issue between my microphone and the HP laptop.
To clarify:
1) My microphone works perfectly and it shows up in Windows Control Panel.
2) I have used my microphone over Skype with no issues.
3) I have recorded many audio recordings with my microphone with no issues.
Where I do have an issue with the microphone, as I have outlined in my original ticket, is that there seems to be an autoleveling or loudness equalization going on where any input audio that goes beyond a certain volume will automatically be softened for 10 seconds, before the microphone increases volume again. I have found this issue reported many times in other forums and apparently it's a common issue, and the solution seems to be to disable the loudness equalization in my Speaker/Mic properties in my audio control panel.
The issue here is that I cannot find this option to disable loudness equalization at all in my audio control panel, be it in Windows or in Beats audio panel (as I have cited in my original ticket). I would like some help to know where exactly I can find and disable the loudness equalization option in my computer because it has to be somewhere since it has been operating in the background.
The manufacturer is Sennheiser.

Low volume, no enhancements tab to fix issue

I have a Pavilion g6 HP laptop, running on windows 8.
I am experiencing a problem with very low volume. How can I fix this? I have seen in previous questions that this response has worked for people:
Right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback Devices'. Left click the default device once to highlight it ( it's usually 'speakers & headphones' ) then click the Properties button. Click the Enhancements tab and put a tick in the box next to 'Loudness Equalization'. Click Apply to save the change and then click OK in all remaining windows and see if this has helped at all.
However, there is no enhancements tab on my system! Help!

Same problem here.. This problem is from years with the hp laptop speakers and they do nothing... That is very irresponsible.. Well, HP you're gonna release some official fix for that or what? Seriously I'm going to switch to dell because of your useless support.By the way why are you doing a support forum when you DO NOT KNOW the answer of the problems? Huh...

Missing Loudness Equalizer

For some reason, my current driver for Beats audio does not have an enhancements tab in the sound options, so I cannot do loudness equalization.
I was able to recover this functionality by uninstalling the driver, but then Beats would no longer work (cannot find .startup file error message).
Does anyone have an idea what driver would allow me to have both?

I understand that you are trying to get the Enhancements tab back, presumably after upgrading your system. I am happy to help you with this, but it would helpful to know what led to the problem; also please post the full product number for your notebook. See the following, if you need help with that information.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
I am assuming that you upgraded the operating system and after the upgrade the new driver does not have that functionality. Please verify, and let me know which operating system you originally had, if that is the case.
But as you surmised, the 'Enhancements' tab is down to the particular audio driver that's installed - some allow this feature and some do not. So it may come down to if we can find one that still has that capability for the other operating system.

Enhancement Requests for AWM10g

Hi, before I start in on the enhancement requests I want to say that I am pretty impressed with AWM10g. Definitely a huge step forward in creating AWs. Having said that, I think there are a few enhancements that could be done to the tool to make it even more user friendl.
Note that these are in no particular order, just ones I came up with while using the tool. I'll add any others that I come across.
Please don't take this as nit-picking - just trying to help make it better.

1. On dimension hierarchy types, instead of "value based" call it a "parent / child based" (thats what everyone knows it as)
2. When creating levels, allow more than one level to be created at a time (currently it closes the dialog after each level is created, forcing you to go back and choose "create levels" over and over again). This may be as simple as having a "Save and create another" button or something.
3. When typing names in the "system name" boxes, it would be nice if we could simply type the descriptions using spaces, and have the system name automatically replace with an underscore. Right now its a bit tedious to remember to type all names using underscores.
4. In "mapping" view, move HELP, APPLY, and REVERT buttons off of bottom status bar and up to the top toolbar. There is lots of unused space at the top, creating a second bar at bottom just eats up screen real estate
5. On "create dimension" dialog, no need for an entirely separate tab for "implmentation details" (that only has two values - generate unique keys or use the existing keys). Put this on the front tab so users don't have to keep selecting over to it (unless of course there are additional values that can show up there?)
6. Mapping dimensions with multiple hierarchy - seems odd that we have to remap shared levels. Is it possible to make this where you would map all the values in the first hierarchy, and then only map the "missing" levels in the second hierarchy? Seems like an opportunity for hosing things up
7. Drag and drop ordering when setting up the dimensions in a cube would be nice. Interface is the same as prior version of AWM (pretty clunky)
8. Bug - when typing in any "name" field, if you highlight the entire field and delete all characters, under the "description" fields only a single character gets deleted.
9. When there are multiple hierarchies for a given dimension, some sort of visual indicator of which one is set as default (without having to drill into details of each one)
10. Its difficult (impossible?) to resize panes (for instance, when doing the mapping). Seems like sometimes I click on something by accident (other than the < and > arrows) that resizes the panes, and then I can't figure out how to get them back (other than exiting and restarting)
11. When writing template out to same name as one that exists, AWM2 is not giving a "do you want to overwrite" prompt
12. Some sort of clear visual indicator or message when a dimension is not completely "mapped". I had a dimension where I mistakenly forgot to map the leaf level dimension member. I didn't find out about it until I ran a load and the load blew up.
13. On the XML logging at the end of a load process, the dialog box isn't big enough to show entire error messages if they occur. Since I haven't found a way to actually write the output to a txt file, this makes it hard to debug what is wrong with a solve.

1) Rather than just showing the "working" bar while a load / solve is going on, would it be possible to replace this with some sort of functionality that queries against the OLAPSYS.xml_load_log table? And perhaps allow the user to click "refresh" or have it auto-refresh at a certain number of minutes so that users can actually see the progress being made?
2) Since CATALOG view is no longer available, remove the options to have AWM write the log files

There is a OSS note 1340615 for the same.
I just copied the same from market place.
Follow the steps to make the change if the changes can't be downloaded auotomatically.
1. Start the transaction SE51.
2. Give program as SAPLCOIH and screen as 1100. Select the radio button (option) 'Element List'.
3. Click on the change button.
4. In general attr. for the field 'BTN_PLUS_CUK' change the column 'Vislg' from the value '10' to '13'
5. Save and activate.
6. Go back to initial screen of the SE51 transaction.
7. Give program as SAPLCOIH and screen as 1205. Select the radio button (option) 'Element List'.
8. Click on the change button.
9. In general attr. for the field 'BTN_VGD5' change the column 'Vislg' from the value '10' to '13'
10. Save and activate.

IDT Audio ((((Missing Enhancements Tab )))) in Windows Sound Speaker Properties

I have owned a HP Pavilion G4 2129TX core i7 3632QM windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.
last week, my computer crashed in a big way so I reinstalled Windows 7. I figured out all of my drivers and my Sound Works fine. The only problem is that I no longer have access to the Enhancements Tab in my Windows Sound...
now my speaker seems too low in terms of sound not like as before.. my IDT driver is already updated but nothing changes. ..Any help to get it back would be appreciated.

Whether you have an enhancement tab in the Sound properties window depends on the particular audio driver loaded - some give this option and some don't.
Try the following.
First of all, uninstall your current IDT driver from its entry in Programs and Features and when done, restart the notebook.
When windows has fully reloaded, download and install the version on the following link.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55501-56000/sp55977.exe
When the installation has completed, restart the notebook again before checking if the enhancements tab is now available.

CROSS-TAB FOR ARABIC LANGUAGE

I want to use cross-tab for the languages which are right to left. Please tell me the way to make crosstab work for arabic language. Is there or not?..it will come in future version

You did not say what version of CR you are using?
CR 2008 has the ability to select your local language and settings.
Try using that option to see if it works for you. Otherwise go into Idea Place and add it as an Enhancement request.

Also, If you want to go with user-exit option then check the following exits:
1. CNEX0009 -- EXIT_SAPLCOMK_001
      Use this exit while processing materials from the network orders.
2. CNEX0011 -- EXIT_SAPLCOMK_002
      With this user exit, you can modify the quantity of the BOM items which are exploded at the BOM explosion
in the network screens.
      This exit will export STPOX_TAB table which is the structure of the BOM items.
3. CNEX0014 -- EXIT_SAPLCN10_001
      The user exit can be activated when you want to transfer BOM items from external systems.
      If the exit is active then the indicator for the takeover of external data in the initial screen of the interface like
CN33 should be set active.
      In return, a table with the extended structure of the BOM items (STPOX) is expected.
4. CNEX0015 -- EXIT_SAPLCN10_002
      This exit can be used to change BOM data for BOM transfer.
      If this user exit is called, then a function module is called after the BOM explosion. This function module
receives a structure with fields from the initial screen (RCNIP01) as well as the table of selected Bill of
materials items (STPOX).
      The changed table can be returned to the calling program for further processing.
5. CNEX0026 -- EXIT_SAPLCOMK_005
      This user exit is used to check if there are any changes done to the material component in the component
overview screen or the details screen of the material component.
      Please note that this user exit is called only during the change in component overview screen or
component detail screen. In other words this exit cannot be called if for an example the network order header
changes which involved in the material component change during release or scheduling etc.,
6. CNEX0034 -- EXIT_SAPLCN10_003
      This user exit is used to check if a new assignment is allowed for the network activity during BOM transfer

Enhancement tab on maintenance order

Is it that after activating any enhancement for the order type, the enhancement tab on order gets displayed or is any other customisation setting for this?

Hi Raghunandhan,
The additional tab is not like page etc. It is optional field for the user (it is not mandatory as std) if they need it they can assign that filed during order opration selection.
Depending on your business requirment for order operation selection further logic can be checked added.
Ther are one two examples in IDES.
I have used this option for machine position selection.
Like I have four same sapres (material code) on the machine.
Whever I issue the same material no for left side on the machine I will select on the operation heder tab dropdown as Left. This I have added in the dropdown with help of ABAP in Tables.
Further I have perpared a logic with MSEG document no againts the order having the same equipment no & position left last issue & latest isssue it gives me the avg life that componet has given me on that position.

if you have multiple LTS then you should set the content level approprately otherwise you can get errors during consistency checks.not able to find any link which talks only about content level.see these links and let us know if you have any doubts

Very urgent Enhancement category for include or subtype missing

HI all;
I am currently on BI 7.0 release
I have a cube A that activated in Development. I transported cube A to Staging get the following error

Enhancement category for include or subtype missing
No active nametab exists for /BIC/DZIP_INT9
Termination due to inconsistencies
Table (Statements could not be generated)
Flag: 'Incorrect enhancement category' could not be upda
Enhancement category for table missing
Enhancement category for include or subtype missing
No active nametab exists for /BIC/DZIP_INTP
and the cube couldn't activate in staging.
I re-transport this cube A a few times with difference option of grouping and still no luck.
in Development, i copied cube A to cube Aa, then transport new cube Aa to staging, then everything went ok. the new cube Aa is activated in staging area.
I couldn't use the new name Aa since all the queries using the A name.
Is there any possible solution that could help?

I lose a bunch of tabs when I exit Firefox, even though I click for it to save the tabs for next time I open it

When I use Firefox, I usually have a bunch of tabs open. Sometimes I have a tab open as a reminder to look further into the subject, or I plan on going back to it to finish reading whatever it was. Before, if my computer would restart due to updates, when I started Firefox up again, it would say "Well...this is embarrassing" and allow me to reopen all the tabs I once had. This no longer works. I was even able to close Firefox through the Task Manager on windows, and have the same result. Now this doesn't happen. So I tried to close it and it asked to save my tabs for the next time I open Firefox. It doesn't save them, as it's always just my homepage and I never see an option to recall the old tabs. I even set the settings to "When Firefox starts: Show my windows and tabs from last time." This also does not work. I'm getting tired of having to remember all over again what sites I had up. Usually they aren't something that I need bookmarked, so that's why I don't do it. Also, it would really clutter my bookmarks if I did. Please help.

Thanks for the reply. I never get the option to "Restore Previous History" from History. I don't even have the box checked that asks to delete the history when Firefox closes. I don't know what's wrong, no matter what, I always lose everything. I have the box marked "Show my windows and tabs from last time" for when I open Firefox, but it never shows that, just my homepage. Also, when I check my History, it only shows the pages that I opened since I started Firefox, nothing from before. Even if I were to open up 10 pages now, close Firefox, and open it, the history would only show the homepage that opened this time, not any of the 10 pages that I opened 5 minutes ago.
