No episodes in Podcasts app after switching to libsyn

Hi,
I just switched over to Libsyn a few days ago and transferred all my episodes over there. Since I use Feedburner, I plugged my Libsyn feed into Feedburner.
But now, undownloaded episodes aren't showing up in the Apple iOS Podcasts app. To see what would happen, I deleted my podcast from the app and resubscribed, and zero episodes show up.
My podcast is The Walking Dead 'Cast.
Feedburner feed = feeds.feedburner.com/WalkingDeadcast
Libsyn feed = deadcast.libsyn.com/rss
Any idea what's happening and what I can do about it?

Hi Jason,
I looked in the Podcasts App from Apple and subscribed to your show and the episodes showed up and I was able to play the most recent episode.
However there are a couple of possible issues I see.
One you are using Feedbuner to track stats on the downloads - that means in your feedburner feed it is not the Libsyn URL for the file - but the Feedburner one - with libsyn there is no reason to do that - as you are already getting detailed stats - so I would turn off those stats with feedburner.
Second possible issue if you latest episode title - 88: F#(@ity F#$% F@#^ F#@#!!!
RSS Aggregators are known to break when you put in special characters - so this might be your issue here.
Again the show did subscribe fine for me and play both on the computer and the Podcasts app.

Cannot download a previously purchased app after switching computers

I switched from a Macbook Pro to an iMac. Afterwards, I was unable to open a particular app. iTunes App Store does not give me a download icon for this app when I click the Purchased link and search for the app.
When I search for my computer, the .ipa file cannot be found.

If you have the app listed (even though you might not have the actual .ipa file on that computer) in the Apps part of our Mac's iTunes library then it won't show in the Purchased link for redownloading. Try deleting it from your library and then see if it shows as being redownloadable via the Purchased link under Quick Links.

Automatic Refreshing of App after switch off screen saver

Hi,
Since I turned off my screen saver, my MBP screen turn black after few minutes of no activity. Everytime I active back my MBP by touching track pad, press key board, the apps that were running previously gone. It seems MBP restarted by itself.
My MacBook Pro on Power Adapter.
I had look Energy Saver settings. And I have no check mark on these settings:
- Put hard disks to sleep when possible
- Wake for network access
Does someone has similar situation?

it seems that the proximity sensor is disabled when you completely disable the auto-lock function of the phone.

How do I recover apps after switching back to Snow Leopard from Lion?

I upgraded to Lion, had problems with it, then went back to Snow Leopard. I now have no mail app, safari or app store app. I have downloaded all software updates and am at a loss as to what is next. Please help!

However I don't use Mail, so I don't know how you can bring back the emails to 10.6.
Sometimes you can redownload them from the server again, or perhaps you can export the emails out of 10.7 mail in plain text or something and save them as text files.
If you use Mail to show the headers too, then "select all" and copy and paste (a lot of work)
Another method would be to swtich hard drives, put a new one in the machine and install 10.6. fresh on it.

Take the old internal drive and put it into a USB enclosure with it's own power supply (or cheaper SATA to USB adapter), you then can hold the option key down and select the 10.7 drive to boot from to access the old emails in Mail like before.
BTW, I totally agreee with you about 10.7 and 10.8.

Hiya I never had an ipod before and only had it a few days and haven't really got clue. I downloaded a tv episode and a podcast onto my ipod then when I watched them them and listened to them they dissappeared off my ipod, I thought if u bought it from itunes then it would stay on until u deleted it off. I've been having the same problem too with TV episodes and podcasts disappearing after I watch them. It's really annoying! Have you worked out any way to stop it happenening?

When playing a song, are the controls at the top of the screen there? (Genius, Shuffle, Loop?)
If not, tap the center of the page once to expose them

In the current "Podcast" app is there a way to play ALL episodes of ALL podcasts chronologically from oldest to newest like there was in the "Unplayed Episodes" list of the original "Podcast" app?

In the original version of the Podcasts app there was an "Unplayed Episodes" list that listed ALL the episodes of ALL the podcasts I had loaded on to my device, and I could listen to them in chronological order from oldest to newest.
In the new Podcasts update I see a list called "All Unplayed" but when I select a podcast from there it plays all the episode of JUST THAT podcast, without switching between podcasts to whatever episode on my device is chronologically next.
Is there a way to listen to my podcasts chronologically across Podcast series and I'm just missing it or did Apple screw the pooch on this one?

Please, please, please... I wonder if the solution of deleting the Podcast App and using the Music App again would work. My favorite sports radio station splits up their podcasts by DJ (logical), but I want to listen to all podcasts from one day from all DJs. No longer automatic :(

Podcast app no longer auto-plays next episode. Is this a setting that I can change?

After updating to iOS6 and downloading the app update, the the next episode in the "unplayed episode" list no longer auto-plays. I really liked that feature and would like to be able to turn it on again. Any one know if there is a setting and where it is? I've tried to find it to no avail. Thanks!

I like to listen to podcasts in my car. But my favorite podcasts last 4-6 minutes and the iPhone is in the glovebox
Needless to say I had to stop listening to podcasts since the podcast App took over the music app.

After reading your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an error with the Podcasts app. You may want to consider restarting the device first, and then resetting if that does not work. This article provides detailed instructions for Restarting, and Reseting:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

The episodes I uploaded last weeks are not shown in Itunes but only in the podcast app for iPhone.

In june I started the podcast and it was apprroved by Itunes.
It took a long time for the first 2 episodes to be uploaded.
But they are now finally in.
So in the last two weeks I uploaded episoded 2 till 6.
But they are shown in Itunes, although they are shown and can be downloaded in the podcast app for Iphone.
What is going wrong?

Another problem is popping up.
After I followed your advise the episodes immediately showed up in Itunes.
But this week we added a new episode which has taken 30 hours to come online.
After waking up this morning, not only the last added episode but also the 4th and 1st dissapreared.
Could you please have a look again at the posterous and feedburner pages.

When you're listening to a podcast, slide the current artwork up from the bottom, and you will reveal the control panel. Adjust the little switch in the middle so that it is pointing North, instead of Northwest. That will fix your problem.

Podcasts app won't remember played episodes and automatically deletes played episodes.

I'm using an iPhone 4, iOS 6. I run a Mac and have set podcasts to keep 1 most recent episode. It simply will not honor this setting. Tried deleting/reloading Podcasts app won't remember played episodes. It will randomly decide all xx previous episodes are new and unplayed. Even after marking all as played it will show it as such and then an hour later revert. This is not shown on my home computer or on an ipad or what not just FYI. It automatically deletes played episodes. I'd like to keep the most recent episode of all the podcasts I subscribe to and only delete once the new one is downloaded. In case I want to refer back. It regularly deletes them, requiring me to redownload the episode and annihilating my data cap. It just won't actually sync or work correctly at all.
Any advice or help is very much appreciated. I hate to vent; it is just exasperating.
PS: I understand many people like third party providers and you'd think I'd have done that given how much I listen to podcasts but this ought to work and work like Amazon's whispersync. Whoever is in charge of this is a bozo that's blowing it and I hope they are aware of it.

I am also having problems with 100s of played podcasts being listed. Like others, if I delete a podcast, it reappears as unplayed the next time I open podcast app in a WiFi zone. In the meantime, the app stops working while it tries to handle all the new info. Finally for some podcasts, it plays and old episode when I select the most recent. I keep selecting "Mark all as played" only to see 100s show up a few hours later. I would prefer played episodes not to be listed in menu at all!
I listen to podcasts on the subway without any ability to stream and prefer to access only from my phone and not have to fuss with computer.
I have read that if you delete the app to go back to using Music app, you can no longer download new podcasts but must do in iTunes. Is there any fix or workaround?

Why does my podcast episode title appear different after subscribing?

In the iTunes Store everything is perfect with my podcast and episode title.
The episode title is:
"Blinkers Off 001: Oaklawn Begins"
But once I subscribe and it goes into my library (this is happening with others as well), the podcast title and everything looks fine but the episode title has changed.

What happened?
