No excise effect with MB01
Hi All,
When we do MB01 or MBST (reverse or cancel material document) the part-1 wont affect. We can not cancel the document in MIGO since the material is quality active and should be available in quality stock for reverse. Please advice wether any note available or alternative process for same.

Excise updation comes into picture only if we use MIGO ... Its SAP standard.
MB01/MBST doesnt help in excise updations

I am doing STOCK Transport process from factory to depot and hitting error while creating excise invoice in Factory.
From SAP help on Creating Excise Invoice, it said :
From the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Indirect Taxes ® Sales/Outbound Movements ® Excise Invoice ® For Sales Order ® Outgoing Excise Invoice Create/Change/Display ®
If you want to create the excise invoice with reference to a pro forma excise invoice or commercial invoice, choose Excise Invoice ® Create.
If you want to create the excise invoice with reference to a delivery note, choose Exc. inv. for delivery ® Create.
Enter the number of the reference document.
- When i created the excise invoice with reference to a STO Delivery Note, i am getting error : " For delivery 800050092 no document of type JEX exist "
- I already setup the config to assign Delivery Type NL to billing type JEXP.
I was doing the steps as below :
1. ME21N u2013 Create Stock Transport Order
2. VL10B u2013 Create Outbound Delivery w.r.t. STO
3. J1IIN u2013 Create Outgoing Excise Invoice w.r.t. Delivery Note

The excise reference document defined does not exist for the delivery.
Procedure
Create the excise reference document before running the excise posting transaction.
- What is it means by create the excise reference document before running the excise posting transaction ? Do I need to create Pro-forma invoice prior to execute transaction J1IIN ?
I did not check the selection for ": Excise Inv during Billing " in my Excise Group maintainance. -

Excise Invoice with reference to Commercial Invoice
Hello Experts
My client has third party software. In SD- Order to Invoice cycle is done in that software.
After Invoice is created the data is interfaced and Invoice is received in SAP.
Now my doubt is that will it be possible to create the excise invoice with reference to this commercial invoice.and if so, what should I assign in config- Assign Del types to Invoice Types.
Please advice.

Your scenario is not very clear to me although i am trying to attempt for the solution. Generally F2 invoice will take care of commercial *** excise invoice requirement. If material is excisable & attracts commercial taxes like CST or VAT you can geit through F2 invoice. You can have print programme developed for the invoicing where heading print will be like "Commercial *** excise invoice". -
Excise invoice with zero values
Hi SAP Gurus,
In CIN, when I created excise invoice with Tcode J1IIN with reference to invoice, I found zero values. When I checked the pricing conditions tab in Billing, I observed that condition types JEXT and JECT are having zero values. Why the system is not picking the values for these condition types, though condition records are being maintained.? In my pricing procedure there is no UTXJ conditon type. Should I maintain the condition records for UTXJ though it is not in our pricing procedure?, since UTXJ is link between tax procedure, pricing procedure and tax code. I expect guidance in this regard..

UTXJ is the only condition which brings the tax code in the document, please add utxj and then check it will definately work. I am not replying in detail so if u want any other clarification please reply back.

FACTORY SALES
IN CASE OF FACTORY sales you have to create a billing document either Proforma or Commercial.
Then you can reference the billing doc i9n J1IIN for creation
DEPOT SALES
In case of depot sales you can create a excise invoice with reference to delivery document.
For this after creation of delivery goto J1IJ and slect the rg23d from menu
you can create an excise invoice with delivery in depot sales.
In factory it is not possible to create a excise invoice with delivery doc.

I could able to generate excise invoice with reference to STO ( jex ) invoice but unable to generate with reference to commercial invoice ( F2) .System is show 'error in creating FI document'. Am i missing some configuration.

Check the G/L accounts assignments for Excise transaction types DLFC,
Also check the NUmber ranges in OBA7, and also the accounting doc type for excise invoice

Excise invoice with reference to credit memo/debit memo
Normally we create Excise Invoice with reference to Inter company Invoices . Is it possible to create Excise invoice w.r.t. Credit Memo/ Debit Memo. If Yes , then what are the settings that needs to be maintained and where?
Excise JV thru J1IH transaction is one option. It gives you 6 options.
1.Material Doc for written off
2.materail doc for non production
3.Additional Excise
4.Other adjustments
5 TR6 Challan

you can create with reference of the deliveyr document. in J1iin trnsaction you have the option in the header tabs of create from delivery

How to add Excise item with out chapter id
Dear all,
How to add Excise item with out chapter id?
Chapter id of purchae items will be known only after receiving Invoice/gate pass/delivery chalan from supplier/vendor
To send a purchase order we need to create that particular item in the master, but with out assigning chapter id system is not allowing to save without chapter id.
How to solve this?
I am with SAP 8.8 and PL 10

Refer the book of chapter ID or find out on internet you will get the chapter ID.
Still if you not able to get the chapter id then consult with excise advisory.
But you can add Excise PO until you have the excise details in Item master.

Capital Excise Invoice with Import PO
Dear All,
I came acorss with 1 strange thing in case of Excise invoice capture against capital Import purchase order. The excise transaction type is GRPO & sub transaction type is IP.
If u post the excise invoice with GRPO for capital import PO then systen passes correct FI entry i.e. 50% on cenvat account & 50% on hold account in case of AED But if u select GRPO with IP ( Sub Trasnsaction) then system pass 100% entry in cenvat account for AED
What would be the reason ?

GeneralySUB Trans type is used to post to seperate G/L acct.This AED for import as per excise law 100% can be availed.For normal PO only 50%.So pleasev check in
TAXON GM>Acct det>Speify excise acct per ex trans> whether u have specified sub transaction type IP cenvat offset acct.Based on the acct entry happens in J1IEX.U have SAP note 964190

Manual Excise duty with fixed amount in Sales order
Dear Sir/Madam.,
This is regarding manual excise duty with fixed amount in SD Module . I
have created three conditon type ZEXP,ZECS,ZA1X for BED ,CESS and HSED for manual excise duty with fixed amount, other than the standard condition type JEXP,JECS,JA1X , because my TRADING SALE scenario needs both condition type with fixed percentage and fixed amount conditions also. After the pricing procedure updation for trading sale, I have tried to create the sale invoice with VF01 , it is ok till the VF01 for manual excise duty but when ever I tried to excise posting with J1IIN. the manual excise duty show only zero, whiile we used the standard Condition type JEXP, JECS, AND JA1X with fixed percentage 8% -2% -1% our over all steps are ok till J1IIN for excise invoice, mean BED ,CESS and HSED shown correctly.
I have done some experiment with the TAXINN tax procedure in (Logistics general > tax on good movments> india> basic settting>determination of excise duty> Maintain excise default), I have replaced the condition types JEXP, JECS and JA1X with the ZEXP, ZECS and ZA1X in the corresponding filed. then after my manual excise duty with fixed amount data was reflecting
in the J1IIN and it start to work properly with the excise duty but my fixed percentage condition type stop to working mean, it was now showing the duty at the time of excise duty posting J1IIN .
I want to use both the condition types in the same TRADING SALE scenario. May anybody help me to solve this issue.

How to make thumbnails enlarge when using grid navigation effects with jquery
I have used a grid navigation effect with jquery to display several thumbnail images but i would like the images to enlarge to a bigger size when they are clicked on, i dont want another window to open but for the image to appear on the same page like lightbox, except i dont need a gallery, just the enlarging function.
